Amber Rose Wants Kanye West To Pay Her $20 Million For Inspiring “MBDTF”

Amber Rose had a lot of Ye-related tea to spill during her recent conversation on The Jason Lee Show with its titular host. Moreover, she shared during this interview that she actually didn’t mean what she said about her former partner liking anal stimulation with her fingers. Turns out that was just a way to get at him, but the model does have a particular request for him that could make up for all the hassle. She referenced how she was the Chicago artist’s muse for his critically acclaimed 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, as they dated during its recording in 2009.

“I should’ve got $20 million for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. But I got nothing,” Amber Rose remarked. “I should’ve gotten money for the wax figure that he used without my consent. Butt naked! But I didn’t get nothing. I didn’t get any money from anything. I should have been compensated in some way for using my likeness, and so many songs and the wax figure.” The wax figure refers to how Ye used one for his “Famous” music video in 2016.

Amber Rose On Not Getting Credit For Inspiring Ye: Watch

The MBDTF conversation happens around the 38-minute mark of the video above.

In addition, Amber Rose also claimed that she was the one who suggested a Nicki Minaj feature on MBDTF‘s “Monster.” “I don’t think I got credit for that,” she claimed. “I mean, I didn’t do it for credit. And that’s not to take -– Nicki, she’s amazing, when it comes to writing raps. Like, I’ve seen it in person. It’s a sight to see.” Even though the 40-year-old didn’t get much credit for these things, she’s at least been able to forge her own path ahead and overcome this lack of recognition. Sure, she’s dealing with other relationship rumors dogging her at every turn, but it’s a price she’s willing to pay.

Meanwhile, in terms of Rose’s rap relationships, there’s one that stands above all. She and Wiz Khalifa are a great example of how exes can become great friends, co-parents, and supporters of one another. We’ll see if Ye ends up falling in this camp one day. On that note, for more news and the latest updates on him and on Amber Rose, stay up to date on HNHH.

Quentin Miller Reveals Writing Credits On “Vultures 1”

Quentin Miller reflected on working with Kanye West on his new album, Vultures 1, in a post on Instagram, over the weekend. He confirmed that he contributed to four songs across the tracklist.

“Exactly 20 years after the album that changed my life dropped …Who woulda known man,” Miller wrote. “Shoutout [The Game] for the intro to Ye, shoutout [Tracey Mills] for sealing the deal. Shoutout to @kanyewest & @tydollasign.” From there, he revealed which songs he helped out on. They include  “Stars,” “Talking” featuring North West, “Fuk Sumn” featuring Playboi Carti and Travis Scott, and “Beg Forgiveness,” featuring Chris Brown.

Miller first made a name for himself in the public eye for working with Drake. Amid the Toronto rapper’s feud with Meek Mill, Meek outed Miller as Drake’s ghostwriter. Last year, Miller reflected on that period of his career and revealed he wasn’t properly paid for working on Drake’s 2015 mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. “I never got a single publishing check off any songs,” he told VladTV. “I had to feed my family off getting paid under the table in that situation, because Tricky and them wouldn’t let me go, I didn’t get out that deal ’til 2019, 2020; I signed [it in] 2011, I had to let go of a lot of shit just to get out. Even while I was in it, I never got a publishing check or nothing. I was just grinding, bro. I was grinding it out just hoping that one day that one song or working with that one artist is gonna change something — and that was the Drake thing! But it just didn’t change anything.”

“Scary Hours 3” Does Not Feature Kevin De Bruyne As A Writer, Soccer Star Confirms

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is not the same “K. De Bruyne” that appears as a producer on “Wick Man” from Drake’s new Scary Hours 3. The Belgian international took to social media to initially joke about the moment before confirming that it was someone else. “Drake needed an assist,” De Bruyne said on X before adding “All jokes aside, it’s not me! Huge fan though!”. Furthermore, De Bruyne appeared to post a picture of himself with Drake taken several years ago. However, it’s nice to see De Bruyne getting into the spirit of the fan hysteria.

Fans had expressed mass confusion after seeing the credit on the new EP. However, with no other names to connect it to, fans just assumed that the midfielder had done a surprise collab with Drake. “Even when he’s not playing, he still assists,” one fan noted on social media. It’s currently unknown who the actual K. De Bruyne who appears on the album is.

De Bruyne Still Recovering From Injury

It’s been a rough couple of seasons for De Bruyne, who has been dealing with a recurring hamstring injury. He was ruled out of most of City’s 2023/24 campaign after aggravating the injury in the team’s season opener against Burnley. Ruled out for four to five months, De Bruyne is not expected to return until January at the earliest. In the meantime, City find themselves at the top of the Premier League, with 29 points from 12 games. Liverpool is just one point behind them. However, City are likely hoping that De Bruyne can return for some key games in January, such as a matchup with Newcastle on the 13th.

However, it’s been a busy day of news in the Premier League. Everton was deducted 10 points for financial violations, dropping them from 14 points to 4 points. Furthermore, this meant the Liverpool-based side fell from 14th to 19th in the league table. It is the largest points deduction to occur in the history of the Premier League, which was formalized in 1992.

Tony Yayo Wants Credit For “The BBL Movement”

Soulja Boy is perhaps the rapper who’s best known for taking credit for his various achievements throughout the industry – especially those he’s able to cross off his list before anyone else. While he does have an impressive number of accolades under his belt, there are plenty of other rappers who are calling for their flowers too. Among them is Tony Yayo, who revealed in a recent episode of The Danza Project that he thinks he deserves credit for starting the BBL movement.

During their conversation, Uncle Murda credited Kay Slay as “the godfather” of promoting curvier bodies on his Straight Stuntin’ magazine. “He damn near brought that to the game with them magazines,” he said. Yayo then added, “It was to the point where the [music video] director put the Dominican joint — ’cause you know [in] New York we got bad Dominicans, bad Puerto Ricans — they would put them in the joint. I’m like, ‘I might want some chocolate with the fatty in my shit!’”

Tony Yayo Reflects on His Career with Uncle Murda

As he continued to blow up, Yayo eventually decided it was time to bring the bodacious bodies from magazine covers and posters to his own videos. “That’s why in ‘So Seductive’ I had Buffie the Body. She was the first BBL you seen in your life,” the New Yorker recalled. So when you think about it, I started the BBL movement! Give me my props! I started the BBL movement. I did! Not me personally, but I started the movement … That was ’04, ’05, ’06. Slay was rocking hard, but I put that shit on the forefront with the video ‘So Seductive.’ That was the fattest a** you seen, shout out to Buffie.”

Back in Tony Yayo’s day, BBLs were much more rare and therefore sought after. At this point, however, cosmetically enhanced bodies have become a commodity, causing more people to lean back toward embracing their natural look. Fat Joe Credits DaBaby For His Comeback After Being “Canceled”

After DaBaby made homophobic remarks back in 2021 at Rolling Loud Miami, the backlash that followed made many believe his career was over. However, despite there still being a conversation around whether it’s warranted, the Charlotte rapper has sustained a career in hip-hop since. No matter what side you fall on of that debate, it’s clear that a lot has changed in the years that followed for him, whether from a personal or career standpoint. In addition, his efforts to revitalize himself and get back into the game have gotten a lot of props and praise from fellow industry figures. The latest to tip his hat is Fat Joe, who commended him for working hard and moving past that dark chapter in his life.

“As far as I’m concerned, DaBaby uncanceled himself,” Fat Joe remarked. “The guy’s a beast. DaBaby the rapper is unbelievable. I’ve seen him fighting back and he went from being the biggest in the world to getting canceled to fighting. You know, still making money and all that, but I’ve seen him on the grind. Every time I’ve seen him, I’ve said ‘Yo, stay strong. Stay focused, stay this.’ ‘Cause I think DaBaby and them are the new Terror Squad.

“The man wouldn’t stop working, wouldn’t give up,” Fat Joe continued. “A lot of people give up. When you got the whole media, everybody going against you, most people are not built for the war. I’m explaining to you guys, DaBaby is ready for war! And he is battle-tested, and he smelled this money, he said ‘No, no, no.’ And then through being positive and fighting and going all out for himself, he punched a hole through the atmosphere. And now he’s poppin’! He is uncanceled!”

You might disagree on the musical or personal front, since many think his artistry fell off. Still, given the “BOP” MC’s new music this year, perhaps there is still more massive success left in his career. Regardless, surely this debate won’t die down anytime soon. Westside Gunn Argues With Producer On Twitter

Westside Gunn found himself engaged in a Twitter dispute with a producer over a payment disagreement. The exchange started with a tweet from Ewonee, a beatmaker. He inquired about where to send his invoice for a song by Griselda artist Estee Nack. The beatmaker’s tweet came in response to a post claiming that Westside Gunn pays his producers well. Gunn took offense to Ewonee’s tweet. The rapper accused him of burning bridges by publicly calling him out and saying that Estee Nack had given the impression that the beat had been cleared.

Furthermore, Gunn expressed his disappointment. He went on to highlight his support for artists and emphasize the importance of communication. He mentioned his preference for working only with his team. This is due to what he perceived as a lack of vision and disrespect from others. Gunn concluded by stating that he would no longer accept beats unless he personally reached out to the producers. That is an unfortunate development for other beatmakers who may have wished to work with Westside Gunn.

Westside Gunn Had Time Today

Unfortunately for both Westside Gunn and Ewonee, that was not the end of the discussion. Ewonee responded to Gunn’s tweet. He stated that he was unaware his beat was used on Estee Nack’s album and that he didn’t receive credit. Gunn then assured him that he would remove the song from the project. He further advised him to privately address any future complaints about his work. In a separate tweet, Ewonee emphasized the need to recognize those who speak up and revealed that this was not the first time he had experienced issues regarding credit.

Gunn later reflected on the situation, expressing his frustration at always being portrayed as the “bad guy” despite his efforts to take care of his family, spread art and love, and positively influence others. He saw the backlash as a consequence of his success and acknowledged reaching a new level in his career, expressing gratitude to God. The Twitter spat highlighted a payment dispute between Westside Gunn and a producer, but it is hardly an isolated incident. Many producers complain of the same treatment. However, it does bring up the question of professionalism. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!

Jay-Z Believes People Don’t Credit Ludacris’ Lyrical Ability

Occasional collaborators Jay-Z and Ludacris might operate on different lyrical lanes in many’s eyes, but the former believes that to be a false assumption. Moreover, the Illinois-born and Atlanta-bred rap legend recently appeared on the All The Smoke podcasts with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes. During their conversation, they eventually got to the topic of Luda’s outlandish and iconic music videos, a definitive sliver of his illustrious, influential, and chart-topping career. The 45-year-old recalled Hov telling him that his focus on visuals made people overlook his ability as an MC. Still, he expressed that he wouldn’t have it any other way.

“It was big,” Ludacris said of his MV endeavors back in the day, which translated into a successful acting career later on. “But there was a downside to it because even JAY-Z was one of the ones that said, you know, he don’t think I get the lyrical credit that I deserve because of the visuals. People ask me, ‘Why don’t you think get the credit?’ Because I played too goddamn much, that’s what I do! And I wouldn’t have it any other way. That’s why my name is Ludacris, because it’s beyond crazy, it’s wild, it’s ridiculous. I like post-effects and augmenting reality, big-ass shoes with big-ass chains, and bobble heads and all that. So I get it, I can’t be mad at it. I just have to show the multi-faceted aspects of myself and I actually love that.

Ludacris’ Full Interview On All The Smoke

“I want to say like half a mil, something like that,” Ludacris responded to a question about his biggest music video budget. “Maybe it inched up to that $600,000. But you hear about when Diddy and Ma$e did the $1 million videos, it was a couple of those. I think Wu-Tang, that ‘Triumph’ video, Steve Rifkind said he did a million. I never made it to the million category, I never wanted to do that, but I did about half of that.”

Of course, this is far from the first time where the New York legend gave credit where it was due- although last time, it was to the newer generation. Jay-Z praised Vince Staples’ latest album Ramona Park Broke My Heart for its storytelling and creativity. From one of hip-hop’s all-time greats, recognition from his pen means a lot. Then again, how did we ever come to doubt Velvet Jones’ dominance on the mic in the first place? Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Jay-Z and Ludacris.

Daz Dillinger Rejects Suge Knight’s “Doggystyle” Claim: “He’s Just Making Up Sh*t”

Daz Dillinger shot down Suge Knight’s recent claim that Dr. Dre wasn’t the mastermind producer behind Snoop Dogg‘s iconic 1993 album, Doggystyle. Suge Knight alleged that Dillinger was the true artist behind the album, but signed it over to Dr. Dre. In response, Dillinger took to Instagram to proclaim Dre is the “best producer in the world.”

“Whats up y’all it’s Daz Dillinger giving y’all the news and info that I’m looking at,” he began in a video post. “Hey, Dr. Dre is the best producer in the motherfucking world. I did not have nothing to do with that, Dr. Dre did that on his own. Suge Knight is lying, I ain’t sign a motherfucking thing. He’s just covering shit up because of everything that Snoop has uncovered in the Death Row unveiling of all the business and shady shit that Alan Grunblatt, little fat fucker, and what they was doing and how they was still in cahoots with Suge Knight. So he’s just making up shit right now.”

Suge Knight made his claim during an interview from prison with TMZ Hip Hop. He’s currently serving 28 years in prison after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter in a fatal 2015 hit-and-run. “What’s so great about Daz is, this guy, I went to him and said, ‘We gotta finish the album,’” Suge told the outlet.

He continued: “He did the whole — he did everything on Doggystyle. By himself. The whole album was done. He did everything. He produced it. So when it was time to come out, the streets said, well, they want Andre [Dr. Dre] to be on it. And Andre said, ‘I want to be on there.’ So Andre went to Daz and said, ‘Look man, let me say it was produced by me, and put my name on it. You’ll get paid, but let me be the one who produced it.”

Suge Knight Claims Dr. Dre Didn’t Produce Snoop Dogg’s “Doggystyle”

Suge Knight says that Dr. Dre wasn’t responsible for Snoop Dogg‘s groundbreaking album, Doggystyle. Instead, he claims that Daz Dillinger was the mastermind behind the production on the project. The former Death Row Records CEO discussed the making of the album during a recent interview with TMZ published on Saturday.

“What’s so great about Daz is, this guy, I went to and said, ‘We gotta finish the album,’” Suge told the publication. “He did the whole — he did everything on Doggystyle. By himself. The whole album was done. He did everything. He produced it.”

The short film starred Snoop Doog and it’s soundtrack was released on Knight’s record label. (Photo by Nitro/Getty Images)

From there, he explained why he feels Dr. Dre was the one who ended up getting the credit. “So when it was time to come out, the streets said, well, they want Andre [Dr. Dre] to be on it. And Andre said, ‘I want to be on there.’ So Andre went to Daz and said, ‘Look man, let me say it was produced by me, and put my name on it. You’ll get paid, but let me be the one who produced it,” he said. “So I told Daz, ‘That’s something he wanted to do. I don’t recommend it, because you’re the one who produced it, and you’re giving up your publishing.’ So, Daz signed paperwork, and said it was produced by Dre.”

Doggystyle ended up being released in November 1993. In its first week, it moved more than 800,000 copies and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In the decades since its release, it’s been regarded as one of the most significant albums of the 1990s. The RIAA has since certified it 4× Platinum, selling over 11 million copies worldwide.
