Russ Is Not Going To Be Denied On “Win”

There is no stopping the Russ machine this year. It is really hard to not focus in on how often the Secaucus, New Jersey native drops. But at the end of the day, he is fan-first kind of artist is always looking to give his supporters what they want. In fact, he takes that approach quite literally. The “What They Want” singer/rapper sends out polls and so people can select what they want to be released. All of these tracks have been previously teased on the artist’s social media platforms at some point as well. The next one up to bat for Russ is called “Win” and it is a celebratory track as you may come to assume.

However, it might not be in the way you might think. On this 2:45 cut, Russ is trying to get with this girl who is quite the trickster. She loves to play mind games, so the veteran decides to play along. Russ intends to “Win” at this seemingly never-ending match. However, he does show signs of wanting to throw in the towel, as she sounds quite unbearable, sneaky, and unpredictable. Admittedly, there are some fairly cheesy and corny bars throughout this child-like affair. “What makes you think I’ll respond? Your texts are green (Texts are green right now) / I have to lose you now (Lose you now), did you not get the memo? (Yeah)“. Still, give “Win” a try and see what you think.

B.o.B Returns With Danceable “Bamboo” Single Ahead Of New Album

B.o.B. rose up the ranks very quickly at the beginning of the 2010’s decade. With radio darlings such as “Airplanes”, it’s sequel with Eminem, “Magic”, “Nothing On You”, and “HeadBand”, the North Carolina rapper had something cooking. However, it was quite difficult for the then Decatur, Georgia raised artist to recapture that magic, no pun intended. But after releasing Elements, his first album as an independent entity, he seems to be on the up and up once again. The Southern MC has a new project in the works, and it will be called Space Time. It is going to cap off his Elements II series of records, the sequel to the saga that we mentioned earlier. Fans can expect it to drop on August 16 and for it to have 10 tracks. In the meantime, though, B.o.B. is here with a single from it called “Bamboo”.

According to Genius, this is supposedly the second offering from Space Time so far. “Steve Harvey” is the lead-off track, and it features a pretty left-field sounding instrumental. It is extremely glitchy and off-kilter and a little all over the place, but in an intriguing way. “Bamboo” is similarly fun, and it sounds like B.o.B. has been in a good headspace while crafting this send-off project. On this record, he is rapping with a carefree attitude over a bouncy and tropical beat. His bars are playful, and they definitely match the vibe presented.

Mustard Gets Deeply Personal On 10-Minute Spoken Word Cut “Pray For Me”

“There’s a song on my album where I’m rapping at the end. That’s the most vulnerable [moment], because I’ve never rapped, nothing like that”. That is what Mustard told Real 92.3 LA just a couple of weeks ago in regard to a track on the upcoming Faith Of A Mustard Seed. “I’ve been behind the boards so long that nobody has ever heard my side of things. When it comes to anything. Family or friends… I think it was just the time. Sometimes people need to hear it, from you”, the acclaimed Cali producer explained. That track Mustard is referring to is out now and it is “Pray For Me”.

Further into his interview with his local radio station, the “Not Like Us” mastermind mentioned some of the tragedies that struck him over the last half decade. They unfortunately included the loss of his grandparents during the peak of the COVID-19 virus and his recent split from Chanel Thierry. All of that and more is what makes onto this 10-minute behemoth of a single, “Pray For Me”. Mustard does rap as promised, but in more of a spoken word type of manner. Regardless of the nitpick, he really cuts himself open and unleashes a lot of things that have brewing inside.

Mustard does ask the man upstairs for help, especially in his current position, he also sends his thoughts to his loved ones and friends in the industry. He namedrops his West Coast bros such as YG, and Kendrick Lamar for helping him achieve a number one hit ahead of the project. Closer to the end of the track, he explains how his next album and its title came to fruition. While this suspected closer is not a song that most listeners will probably revisit, it is a touching moment and one that gives some extra background information on one of the biggest hitmakers of this generation.

Quotable Lyrics:

At that very moment, I didn’t know exactly what he meant by it
But I knew it was something out the Bible
When I went and I did my research on what “Faith of a Mustard Seed” meant
It says that “with a faith of a mustard seed, God will allow you to move mountains”
And I feel like where I come from, I moved just about every mountain that was in my way
And still movin’ em, with the faith of God

Kid Cudi Drops “DREAMS I SEE” In Accompaniment With A New Comic Issue

There are a lot of multi-talents in the hip-hop field, but Kid Cudi might actually define that. The Clevelander can rap, sing, write, produce, and act. He really is a do-it-all sort of artist and he has shown that through his 15+ year career. Over the course of 2024 in particular, Kid Cudi is hard at work on a new project of the arts. If you are always tuned into to what the INSANO rapper is up to, you know that he is pumping out comic issues for his series called Moon Man. Today is the day that the third book drops. However, it is also the same as this new single from Kid Cudi called “DREAMS I SEE”.

His plan has been to release a track when each new book is available. That way it allows the readers to have a soundtrack while they explore the story Cudi has created. Speaking of that, Moon Man is about how Ramon Townsend (main character) saves his team from a mission that turned dangerous in space. According to a Variety exclusive, Townsend would prefer to live a reclusive life. Unfortunately, that flies out the window and things change in a hurry. Kid Cudi did release the first single to this eventual full soundtrack called “BLACK OPS”, featuring Denzel Curry. Early speculation on when that will drop as a project is sometime in 2025. Currently, two more issues in the Moon Man story are slated for release, with #5 coming September 11 and #4 on September 18.

DDG Continues To Feed His Fans With Melodic Cut “She Ain’t Leaving”

Pontiac, Michigan rapper and social media star DDG is continuing to feed his fans with “she ain’t leaving”. Throughout the first half of 2024, the father of one has been dropping off loosies galore on his YouTube channel. Some of them have made are on streaming, though. So far, those include this latest one, “Going To The Top”, and “Shoot Up Your Block”. The other 70 percent of them remain as exclusive drops and there has been some heaters in there. We were able to get to the collaboration with Blueface and Swae Lee, “Top”, which also has a music video that was filmed before his pal’s arrest. It seems most of these songs are ones that DDG is unleashing from his secret vault. So far, fans have been loving the steady output and it seems he is not even close to done.

On “she ain’t leaving”, DDG is back in is melodic bag, a lane we continually see him go to. “She Don’t Play”, a late 2023 release is one of his recent examples in that regard. The production is very chill with a prominent guitar loop contributing to the vibe. In addition to most of DDG’s discography, he is bragging unapologetically about his success and the women he can pull. With all of these singles, you would think that he might be inching closer to dropping an album or any kind of project for that matter. However, Halle Bailey’s partner did just drop Maybe It’s Me… last year, so we could fans might not get something until the end of ’24 or until 2025. DDG seems content with what he is delivering and that is what matters.

DaBaby Claims There’s “NAN” Like Him On Braggadocious Single

DaBaby is taking a firm stance on the fact that he is on another level compared to the competition with “NAN”. This is the Cleveland/North Carolina spitter’s latest single, and it continues his solid run of releases. 2024 has been an especially active year for his solo career but also in terms of his guest work. DaBaby has lent his talents to That Mexican OT on “Point Em Out”, one of the most popular cuts from the latter’s Texas Technician. Also worth noting is his contribution to “Perfect” from Icewear Vezzo’s project, Live From The 6.

On “NAN”, it sees the speedy rapper deliver brags on brags over one of his funkiest beats to date. There is a quirky and glitchy sound effect, in addition to a cartoonish horn-like section that pops in here and there. In terms of the flows, they do feel a little recycled, but they do match the tempo of the instrumental. In terms of the chorus, it is quite repetitive but catchy and it does give off that “I’m the s***” energy. DaBaby first previewed this song on his Instagram back in late June. He shared a wholesome video of his sons dancing and lip syncing the lyrics. Today, he announced that “NAN” was out now, while also leaving with a message. “Woke up feeling good today. From this release forward I’m steppin how I step! 😤”.

Lil Tjay Is Determined To Succeed On “No No”

One thing that is pretty consistent when it comes to Lil Tjay’s music is that he is never afraid to get personal. Usually, he will focus on topics such as self-confidence, broken relationships, or coming to grips with being alone or just a handful of people. On this latest Lil Tjay single, “No No”, the latter is the thematic focus, and you can hear the rawness coming from him. As per usual, The Bronx native is mixing his high pitch singing with melodic flows over a dramatic instrumental. The latter has a steady groove to it, with sad piano keys and New York drill-esque drums leading the way.

What also seems to be another constant is that Tjay’s tracks are ideal for the late summer nights. “No No” is recapturing that same vibe for us and it will be in rotation going forward. Fans are also enjoying his messages of riding with your closest guys and making it out. However, they are noticing one major issue with “No No”. When you listen to the song, you can hear a slight fuzziness throughout Tjay’s performance. Fans were quick to point out the mixing error in his IG comments. One user writes, “this is a good song but why is the final mixing so horrible, it doesnt sound right at all, rerelease this with mixing and mastering”. Time will tell if the hitmaker makes the adjustments but give “No No” a try below.

Luh Tyler Wants All The Pretty Ladies To Put Their “Handz Up” On Newest Track

Luh Tyler is keeping his prolific stretch of singles going, as he drops “Handz Up”. The future Tallahassee, Florida superstar is keeping up with the more established names in his state, and he is going stride for stride with them. The quality is there in its own way, as the youngster continues to embody the trademark sleepy flows while staying original. In 2024, Luh Tyler has put out five singles in total now with “Handz Up” being out and this one sees him on his softer side. He wants to show some love to the pretty women out there who support his music.

“Yeah, yeah, if you a bad b****, then put your hands up (Put your hands up)“. However, for fans of his more cutthroat stuff do not worry, the bars are still very braggadocious. “Bust the Rollie down, I don’t got no timе for these b****es (Ice, ice, ice) / They ain’t never think that we would shine ’til we did it (On God) / Check my roster, all my b****es fine, yeah, they pretty (Bad b****) / Bro done lost his mind, he ridin’ ’round with that switchy (Grrah)“. But the overall atmosphere of the track is more lowkey. That is thanks to the watery instrumental and Tyler’s slower pace. He is also incorporating more melodic flows this time around, showing off that versatility. Be sure to check out “Handz Up” with the link below.

FERG Drops Rambunctious Banger “FERG STRONG”

After such a long hiatus from two of the A$AP Mob’s biggest stars, it is great to see them back in action this year. In terms of A$AP Rocky, he is presumably dropping his long-awaited album DON’T BE DUMB on August 30. His fourth studio tape will end a six-year drought and will be the follow-up to 2018’s TESTING. As for A$AP Ferg, aka FERG, he has been active on the singles and features front in 2024. He made his return a little over a month ago with the YouTube exclusive release, “MDMX”. Since then, the “Shabba” lyricist has gone on to put out two more solo cuts and features for Trae Tha Truth and Denzel Curry. However, FERG is showing that he does not intend on slowing down anytime soon as he drops off “FERG STRONG”.

This single came out of nowhere, as the New York native announced it on his Instagram alongside a intense workout video. FERG along with some close friends are getting a full body pump at a local park it appears. “FERG STRONG” perfectly embodies that visual, as the record is extremely intense and aggressive from beginning to end. The beat, provided by tweektune, is loud but not over the top. The drum pattern, rumbling 808s, and swirling synths create a fire environment for FERG to roam in. In typical fashion, he brings various cadences and loads of energy. Hopefully, “FERG STRONG” gets a wider release. However, he seems content with keeping it limited. Right now, you can find the banger on Soundcloud and YouTube. The latter is provided below so go run it up.
