Pink Siifu Releases “GOT FOOD AT THE CRIB’!” To Bandcamp, But It’s Not What You Would Expect

Underground and experimental rapper Pink Siifu has always been trying out unique techniques to deliver music that is truly separate from the rest of the genre. The Alabama born and Cincinnati-raised MC has been doing well for himself since 2017 operating in this manner. The last project we heard from him dropped back on Halloween in 2023 called IT’S TOO QUIET..’!! Now, Pink Siifu is returning with a new album called GOT FOOD AT THE CRIB’! with an exclusive release to Bandcamp.

However, this is not your traditional album. What do we mean by that? Well, Pink Siifu decided to ditch the tracklist and essentially give fans 22 minutes of continuous music. It is basically up to the listener to decipher where a track stops and starts, making for a more engaging listening experience.

Siifu is not just doing this once either. On his Instagram, he revealed that there will be another volume coming in the near future, possibly this year. Part of the reason he might have gone in this direction could be based on this statement he posted on his account recently. “ALL THESE NXGGAS NEED BETTA HELP CRAFTING THEY ALBUMS’!! GOT THA WHOLE WORLD TO HELP THEM MAKE SOME S*** WE DOIN W THA SAME 4-7 NXGGAS’!! WE THA NXGGAS YALL FAVS WANNA BE’!!”

What are your thoughts on Pink Siifu dropping GOT FOOD AT THE CRIB’! on Bandcamp and in this format? What portion of the album did you enjoy the most and why? Is Pink of the best experimental rappers we have in the genre right now, why or why not? Does this get you excited for the next installment coming soon? Yung Miami’s New Reality Show Reportedly Airing On BET

During her interview with Billboard earlier this year, Yung Miami announced that her reality show was in the works. The series, tentatively titled A Day in the Life of Miami, had yet to find a network at the time. Now, however, it’s been reported that the show has been picked up by BET. It’s unclear when fans can expect to finally see the show, but it’s safe to say they can’t wait. The other half of City Girls, JT, will not be taking part.

Known in part for her fun personality, the rapper has been entertaining fans with her REVOLT podcast Caresha Please since June. In the past, she’s sat down with the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Kevin Gates, Saucy Santana, and more. Of course, she’s also interviewed Diddy, who she’s been in a non-exclusive relationship with for some time.

The podcast has been a major hit among fans. It even took home an award for Best Hip-Hop Platform at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards. This sparked a bit of controversy, with some peers and social media users claiming that she didn’t deserve the accolade. During an appearance on The Breakfast Club, however, Yung Miami defended herself and her podcast, arguing that the hard work she puts into it made her a shoo-in.

“I just feel like people always saying that I don’t deserve stuff,” she explained. “I work hard, I deserve everything. When I just did my first live podcast, we in a new time, we in a new generation. I’m bringing something new, so how do I not deserve it?” Supporters are looking forward to this next chapter for Yung Miami, and are eager to learn more. What do you think of Yung Miami getting her own BET reality show? Are you looking forward to seeing A Day in the Life of Miami? Royce Da 5’9″ Honors Kendrick Lamar On New “Monsters” Series

Royce Da 5’9″ recently launched his new Monsters series, which sees the Detroit native pay tribute weekly to different hip-hop greats. He kicked off the Monster Energy-sponsored series with a compilation of the highs of Kendrick Lamar’s career, featuring a remix of “Backseat Freestyle.” According to the post, he’ll be “paying homage to a different monster in the culture” every week.

“I know, I know fanfare is fun, it’s fun to compare, but some people are different,” he says in a voiceover. “Who else in culture would you say has superhuman skill or ability and if that made the world better for your own unique experience — somehow better.” He continued, sharing that Kendrick Lamar would be his first “Monster.”

Royce Da 5’9″ Calls Kendrick Lamar A “Monster”

“With that being said, this week I chose Kendrick Lamar. Why? Because as a[n] artist, he checks every single box. The man is a monster. A monster,” he said. Fans are flooding his comments section with their requests for which “monster” he should highlight next. Clearly, Royce Da 5’9″ has nothing but nice things to say about Kendrick Lamar. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case for Lupe Fiasco. He threw some shade at his former podcast co-host on a verse in “Never The Same” last month. He alluded to the falling out he had with the rapper back in 2021.

“I’m not here to bury the hatch, it’s just I don’t care to relax,” Royce Da 5’9″ raps on the song. “I don’t think that Lupe’s who I should spit my disparity at, I don’t think Mickey Factz is who I should give a charity match.” What do you think of Royce Da 5’9″ paying homage to Kendrick Lamar on his new Monsters series? How do you think he did? What “monster” would you like to see him honor next? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

50 Cent Dishes On New Eminem “8 Mile” Series

During a recent interview with Men’s Health, 50 Cent teased his new Eminem series, 8 Mile. The series is a new take on the iconic 2002 film, and according to Fif, it’ll be just as huge. Earlier this year, he stopped by Big Boy’s Neighborhood to share the news. “I’m gonna bring 8 Mile to television,” he revealed, “We in motion.” The series is yet to have an official release date, but fans are certainly looking forward to it.

Things appear to be running smoothly so far, based on the recent interview. “I’m developing the 8 Mile film into a series,” 50 Cent told Men’s Health. “So this sh*t is expected to be just as big as the feature film, just huge. It’ll be huge. The interest in it is because the time period of 8 Mile was capturing per the bat, so as we move it into modern times you’ll see things about how we function now, how technology changed the way people enter the music business.”

50 Cent Says New 8 Mile Series Will Be “Just As Big As The Feature Film”

This is why you don’t see groups in the music business,” the artist continued. “You see so many individual artists because there’s no artist development. They used to take time, find Justin Timberlake over here, this guy from over here, bring this guy then we got NSYNC. Then we got Backstreet [Boys], then we got all of these cool boy bands because you put all of that talent into one show.”

50 Cent then went on to explain how the industry has changed with the rise of new technology. “When you leave them out there and they reach the audience before they reach the record company? Because if you got a computer and you got a decent microphone in front of it,” he explains. “You can buy the beat from YouTube, record your record…soon as you do that, you’re in the music business. It’s just how much interest are you generating.”
