As she embarks upon the week of her 26th birthday, Coi Leray has a few things to get off of her chest. On Monday (May 8), the Trendsetter hitmaker used her Twitter profile to vent about the current status of the field she works in, writing, “The music industry is oversaturated. Every song is a hit. Everybody is a star.” Thousands of followers made it known they agree with the singer by liking or retweeting the post, but others didn’t hesitate to chime in with their opinions challenging Leray’s comments.

“Can’t help but think Coi benefited from said saturation,” one user pointed out, seemingly referring to the endless TikTok hits the Boston baddie has released throughout her career. “Valid message, wrong messenger,” their message concluded. On Tuesday (May 9) morning, Leray responded to that tweet, along with a few others. “Y’all [buggin],” she chiefly declared. “My versatility, my stage presence, my stats, my collabs, my brand deals,” the “Anxiety” artist quickly reminded readers of her various talents aside from crafting catchy tracks.

The Trendsetter Speaks Her Mind on Twitter

“[I’m a] fashion girl. I can dance, sing, [and] rap. It’s fine if you don’t see it now, I’m in no rush for you to notice,” Coi’s clap back continued. In another post that landed on her feed minutes later, she publicly hyped herself up even more as a reminder to any would-be haters that her confidence isn’t so easy to shake. “Lol, I’m that girl. Real life. Offline. In the booth, on the stage, on the red carpet. On the radio, overseas, and that’s just what it is, Leray noted. “Shout out to my bitches who stay true to themselves and [don’t give a f*ck] what nobody has to say!”

In later tweets, the soon-to-be birthday girl made it known that it’s all love, and she didn’t want to start drama with anyone. As she progresses in her pregnancy, 23-year-old Chrisean Rock continues to find herself caught up in drama with her baby daddy, Blueface, and his mother, Karlissa Saffold. A few days ago, the rapper’s family matriarch alleged on social media that her next grandchild will be a boy, after previously claiming that Rock was lying about the whole situation. Just last month, the young reality starlet revealed on Instagram Live that she had doubts about keeping her baby. As the clip continues, Saffold and a fan obnoxiously argue about the validity of her claims. While the former asserts that Rock regularly refuses to skip questions from interviewers, the latter shut that down, saying that the Maryland native has done just that in the past. “I watch every interview, I’m tuned in. I follow Blue, I follow Rock, I follow you,” they clapped back at Karlissa, making their credentials abundantly clear.

After some more back-and-forth, the video cuts before the rapper’s embattled parent suggests they add someone else to the Live. Sukihana and Lil Mama had a brief social media spat over the former’s lewd appearance in an NLE Choppa music video. The two went back and forth for a little bit, mostly prompted by the “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” star hearing that Mama was talking smack about her online. However, during her recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, the 31-year-old actually gave the New York rapper her flowers, seemingly backtracking on their previous hostility. In a social media clip making the rounds online, she said that people don’t credit her enough these days and only look at the ill-received aspects of her career.

Earlier this week, the “Lottery” artist revealed that a close friend of hers named Monta suddenly passed away. As you may recall, the Dance Moms alum came out as part of the LGBTQ community in January 2021. “I don’t believe JoJo Siwa is a lesbian,” Owens declared in her post from April 4.

“But the way, I want to state that very clearly, I do believe she’s desperate for attention,” the 33-year-old said of Siwa. “You’re not going to believe what she’s doing now,” Owens added before speculating about a romance between the internet sensation and former Disney Channel star, Demi Lovato. In the same year that JoJo came out, the Camp Rock actress also informed the world that she’s pansexual. “She did this for attention,” the talk show host doubled down on the relationship rumours. “I don’t believe she’s a lesbian no more than I believe Demi Lovato is a lesbian.”
