Eminem And Snoop Dogg’s Deliver Their VMAs Performance Of ‘From The D 2 The LBC’ From The Metaverse

Eminem and Snoop Dogg delivered their VMAs performance of “From The D 2 The LBC” live from the metaverse, in character as their Bored Ape NFTs. The new song, which appears on Eminem’s greatest hits compilation Curtain Call 2, is the two veteran rappers’ first collaboration in over 20 years. Their last song together was on Eminem’s 2000 album, The Marshall Mathers LP.

Prior to their collaboration, though, the two rappers had a minor tiff in 2021 after Snoop admitted (correctly) that he didn’t think Eminem was one of the top ten rappers ever — something that got Eminem’s stans in an uproar even though Snoop showed him love just a day later on Instagram. The incident prompted Em to sneak in what some thought were jabs at Snoop on his album Music To Be Murdered By – Side B. In the song “Zeus,” Em says:

As far as squashin’ beef, I’m used to people knockin’ me
But just not in my camp, I’m diplomatic ’cause I’m tryna be
Last thing I need is Snoop doggin’ me
Man, dog, you was like a damn god to me
Nah, not really
I had “Dog” backwards

Later, he explained that he felt Snoop’s comments were disrespectful, and “threw [him] for a loop.” Snoop shot back that Eminem should “pray” he didn’t respond to the “Zeus” lyrics, but insisted that the two were “still friends,” and in an interview last October, issued a mea culpa, saying he was “out of pocket” with the way he phrased his praise of their mutual rhyme heroes. Earlier this year, they shared the stage for the Super Bowl Halftime Show with Dr. Dre, proving that it’s all good in the hood.

Snoop Dogg Adds A Children’s YouTube Show Called ‘Doggyland’ To His Growing Empire

If you’d told a rap fan in the ’90s that Snoop Dogg, the guy who pioneered West Coast G-Funk with Doggystyle and beat a murder charge in 1996, would have a children’s series on YouTube, they’d likely laugh you out of town (after you explained just what the heck YouTube is). But that’s exactly what happened, as Snoop adds another crown jewel to his ever-expanding empire that also includes breakfast cereal, an NFT label, a Big3 basketball team, and a growing list of movie appearances, video games, and K-pop songs.

Doggyland, which you can find on YouTube Kids, features Snoop rapping and singing nursery rhymes and educational songs with a cast of colorful dog characters. He says the show’s goal is to promote tolerance and acceptance at an early age in a video about the show’s creation. “You can just be you and be accepted in Doggyland, and what’s what these characters represent — diversity, so kids can learn to love each other from the beginning because hate is what’s taught,” he says. “Love is what’s in their heart.”

Snoop’s collaborators on the show include Claude Brooks, the executive producer of Hip Hop Harry, and R&B artist October London. On the show, Snoop voices an adult mentor dog named Bow Wizzle, who of course, guides the cast’s puppies with advice and songs like “Everyone Is Different” and “Sharing Is Caring.” The show’s soundtrack, Kids Hits, Vol. 1, is available to stream on DSPs.

Jack White Has ‘Important Questions’ About Snoop Dogg’s New Cereal, Snoop Loopz

A few days ago, Snoop Loopz, a new cereal from Snoop Dogg’s Broadus Foods brand, was unveiled. Now, the Froot Loops-like cereal (or more specifically, its packaging) has left Jack White with some major questions.

Yesterday, White took to Instagram to share an image of the Snoop Loopz box and reveal that he’s put a lot of thought into it. His post begins, “I would like to personally congratulate Snoop Dogg on his new cereal release and a pat on the back for its charitable benefits that it will be producing, nice one. But i do have a couple of important questions about the box that the cereal is delivered to customers in.”

Then, he gets into the nitty-gritty, continuing:

“In the press release from Broadus foods, the photo of the cereal box contains the words ‘MORE MARSHMALLOWS’. More than what? if this is in fact a brand new cereal, it can’t be more marshmallows than ‘before’. Is it a statement that this cereal has more marshmallows than say…a bag of sand, or a typical caesar salad? Or, is it a DEMAND from Snoop Dogg himself that we just have more marshmallows in this world in general? That last theory is my hope. Lastly, the photograph on Master P’s instagram shows a DIFFERENT phrase, an un-plural ‘MORE MARSHMALLOW’ without the ‘S’. Photo attached, answers demanded.”

Snoop has yet to publicly provide the demanded answers.
