Snoop Loopz No More: Snoop Dogg And Master P’s Cereal Officially Has A New Name

Snoop Dogg and Master P had been faced with some legal pressure about the name of their rap-centric cereal, Snoop Loopz. The brand is set to debut soon, but a name change had to be in order before the official launch of the breakfast food via Snoop and Master P’s company, Broadus Foods.

“So they don’t want us to use Snoop Loopz on our cereal box even though that’s that’s my name,” Snoop Dogg wrote on Instagram last week. “We’ve built a national brand and disrupted the cereal industry, we did it with hard work and integrity. I know they’re uncomfortable and scared. But our mission is to build diversity and economic empowerment.” Adding that, “It’s official we’re taking over the breakfast foods industry. They can’t stop us. It’s David versus Goliath. Master P and I got the slingshot. This is a minor setback for a major comeback.”

Now the decision has been made. The cereal line will forever be known as simply “Snoop Cereal” and it currently features three individual cereal flavors. They made the announcement in a YouTube clip and the Doggfather emphatically said “They can’t take that from me!”

The video is like an unboxing for their line of cereal like the new Frosted Drizzlers, Fruity Hoopz with Marshmallows, and Cinnamon Toasteez. Master P touted they are the “first Black-owned cereal company that’s nationwide and able to reach families everywhere.” He also said, “I wanna let y’all know that this is healthy, cause everyone keeps saying ‘make some healthy cereals!’” Before Snoop added, “We gonna look out for you. You wanna be healthy? We gonna make it healthy for you.”

Master P and Snoop Dogg have given an update on their independent cereal brand “Snoop Loopz” and they’re now saying that their competitors are pushing to ban their new cereal from stores.

In the caption, Snoop said, “So they don’t want us to use Snoop Loopz on our cereal box even though that’s my name. We’ve built a national brand and disrupted the cereal industry, we did it with hard work and integrity. I know they’re uncomfortable and scared.”

Snoop spoke on their company’s mission, saying, “P has been out there touching these kids, making sure that they got lots of food, making sure that these homes and these people that deal with the homeless and getting them back on their feet have access to this, so we doing a good thing.”

Snoop Stews And Regroups As Snoop Loopz Issues Accrue Ahead Of Its Debut

Snoop Dogg may be a famous rapper, but he’s also a businessman. NFTs, Cannabis onion rings, clothing for pets — he’s doing it all. In August, he announced Snoop Loopz, which he said would have “more corn, more flavor and more marshmallows” than the original. It was going to be done through Broadus Foods, his label with Master P. However, he’s reached a roadblock with this cereal endeavor.

In new videos posted on Master P and Snoop’s Instagram pages, the two revealed that they’re not allowed to use the name Snoop Loopz, explaining that they’ve “disrupted the cereal industry” and made other businesses “uncomfortable and scared.” In a full statement, they wrote:

“So they don’t want us to use Snoop Loopz on our cereal box even though that’s that’s my name. We’ve built a national brand and disrupted the cereal industry, we did it with hard work and integrity. I know they’re uncomfortable and scared. But our mission is to build diversity and economic empowerment. Times have changed. There’s enough room for all of us to be successful. This is bigger than us, we are fighting for the next generation of entrepreneurs. We’re no longer just being consumers, we’re educating the culture building our own brands, and passing down generational wealth. Broadus Foods is all about helping the community. It’s official we’re taking over the breakfast foods industry. They can’t stop us. It’s David versus Goliath. @masterp and I got the slingshot. This is a minor setback for a major comeback. #GodsPlan What do YOU think we should name our new cereal?”

Beyond that, neither has offered specific details about what’s going on with the Snoop Loopz name.

Jack White Has ‘Important Questions’ About Snoop Dogg’s New Cereal, Snoop Loopz

A few days ago, Snoop Loopz, a new cereal from Snoop Dogg’s Broadus Foods brand, was unveiled. Now, the Froot Loops-like cereal (or more specifically, its packaging) has left Jack White with some major questions.

Yesterday, White took to Instagram to share an image of the Snoop Loopz box and reveal that he’s put a lot of thought into it. His post begins, “I would like to personally congratulate Snoop Dogg on his new cereal release and a pat on the back for its charitable benefits that it will be producing, nice one. But i do have a couple of important questions about the box that the cereal is delivered to customers in.”

Then, he gets into the nitty-gritty, continuing:

“In the press release from Broadus foods, the photo of the cereal box contains the words ‘MORE MARSHMALLOWS’. More than what? if this is in fact a brand new cereal, it can’t be more marshmallows than ‘before’. Is it a statement that this cereal has more marshmallows than say…a bag of sand, or a typical caesar salad? Or, is it a DEMAND from Snoop Dogg himself that we just have more marshmallows in this world in general? That last theory is my hope. Lastly, the photograph on Master P’s instagram shows a DIFFERENT phrase, an un-plural ‘MORE MARSHMALLOW’ without the ‘S’. Photo attached, answers demanded.”

Snoop has yet to publicly provide the demanded answers.

Snoop Dogg And Master P Unveil A New Breakfast Cereal, Snoop Loopz

Normally, when you think of a balanced breakfast, Snoop Dogg doesn’t immediately jump to mind (unless your idea of a balanced breakfast includes a different kind of greenery than the spinach some folks like with their omelets). But that might change soon, as Snoop adds a breakfast cereal to his growing portfolio of side hustles. Snoop Loopz, the new cereal, are like gluten-free Froot Loops, according to Billboard, which notes that Snoop’s fellow rapper-turned-mogul Master P made the announcement on his Instagram, promising that Snoop Loopz has “more corn, more flavor and more marshmallows” than their analog.

Snoop’s Broadus Foods brand (named for its founder, whose real name is Calvin Broadus) apparently already has a range of breakfast items under its Mama Snoop’s range, including grits, oatmeal, and pancake mix, and more. Snoop Loopz features a blue puppy mascot — naturally — and like all your other favorite breakfast cereals, a box adorned with games and even a box top sweepstakes to win a Nintendo Switch. To be honest… I’d give them a try.

As far as his day job goes, Snoop most recently collaborated with K-Pop megastars BTS on the Benny Blanco-produced “Bad Decisions.” Meanwhile, he’s also added another acting credit in the vampire hunter action comedy, Day Shift, now streaming on Netflix.
