Snoop Dogg, E-40, Ice Cube & Too $hort Make A Statement On Mount Westmore Album

For nearly two years, Snoop Dogg, E-40, Too $hort, and Ice Cube have kept teasing a Mount Westmore project. Now, it’s no secret that each rapper has left a mark on the culture but the idea of them joining forces for a collaborative project felt like a dream come true.

After a few singles to build anticipation, the four rappers came together for Mount Westmore’s new album, SNOOP CUBE 40 $HORT. The first collaborative effort boasts 16 songs with a run time of over one house. The four titans handle the project on their own for the most part. However, P-Lo does come through with the assist on “Too Big.”

During an interview with the LA Times, the four rappers explained that they created the Mount Westmore project over Zoom during the pandemic. All four of them utilized their resources to bring the project off the ground, according to Ice Cube.

“I think everybody saw an opportunity to do something bigger than just us. Something fun. Hip-hop can be so serious … but ain’t nobody having more fun than us. We all love each other, it’s like being in a group with your cousins,” Ice Cube explained.

“It felt like being a kid again, being able to be with your friends and not have to go in when the street lights come on,” Snoop said of Mount Westmore’s creative process. “We can have a friendly argument and then talk about football, basketball, whatever. We want to show the youngsters how to grow into Ice Cube, Too Short, 40, Snoop Dogg. How you can grow into your 50s and still be relevant.”

The Mount Westmore project includes the previously released singles, “Big Subwoofer,” “Too Big,” “Activated,” and “Free Game.”

Snoop Stews And Regroups As Snoop Loopz Issues Accrue Ahead Of Its Debut

Snoop Dogg may be a famous rapper, but he’s also a businessman. NFTs, Cannabis onion rings, clothing for pets — he’s doing it all. In August, he announced Snoop Loopz, which he said would have “more corn, more flavor and more marshmallows” than the original. It was going to be done through Broadus Foods, his label with Master P. However, he’s reached a roadblock with this cereal endeavor.

In new videos posted on Master P and Snoop’s Instagram pages, the two revealed that they’re not allowed to use the name Snoop Loopz, explaining that they’ve “disrupted the cereal industry” and made other businesses “uncomfortable and scared.” In a full statement, they wrote:

“So they don’t want us to use Snoop Loopz on our cereal box even though that’s that’s my name. We’ve built a national brand and disrupted the cereal industry, we did it with hard work and integrity. I know they’re uncomfortable and scared. But our mission is to build diversity and economic empowerment. Times have changed. There’s enough room for all of us to be successful. This is bigger than us, we are fighting for the next generation of entrepreneurs. We’re no longer just being consumers, we’re educating the culture building our own brands, and passing down generational wealth. Broadus Foods is all about helping the community. It’s official we’re taking over the breakfast foods industry. They can’t stop us. It’s David versus Goliath. @masterp and I got the slingshot. This is a minor setback for a major comeback. #GodsPlan What do YOU think we should name our new cereal?”

Beyond that, neither has offered specific details about what’s going on with the Snoop Loopz name.

Welcome To FrFr Language With Kalan.FrFr

From onomatopoeias to alliterations, an artist’s chosen lyrical content help tells the stories and paint pictures of music culture from around the globe. West coast rappers have always added their own flair to hip-hop’s dictionary. Ready for some new additions to your West coast rap vocabulary? Look no further than Uproxx’s Cherise Johnson’s sitdown with SoCal’s Kalan.FrFr as he decodes phrases like “light speed” from his song “Light Breeze,” the dating moniker “sweet tea,” and the exotic car nickname “toys.” Nevertheless, it’s safe to say Kalan has been on a winning streak all of 2022. His most recent album, 222, which helms production by Hit-Boy, JetsonMade, and more, saw major streaming success. Snoop Dogg and Philipp Plein Celebrate New Sneaker Collaboration

Philipp Plein Snoop Dogg Sneaker WWD 03

Snoop Dogg and designer Philipp Plein have joined forces with a sneaker collaboration. A combination of Plein’s gothic aesthetic and Snoop Dogg’s musical legacy are the focal points of this partnership. The two creatives are offering a sneaker in two styles: a black and gold colorway designed with a platform heel, patent black leather body and gold logo, as well as a purple, black and yellow colorway embellished with crystals, inspired by the Lakers.

An intimate celebration transpired on Monday night inside “Chateau Falconview,” Plein’s Bel Air guest home. The main residence sat atop the winding road, sitting on 3.6 acres at a property reportedly worth $200 million. The gathering hosted numerous celebrities such as musician Tommy Lee. It wrapped around 10 p.m. with a giant sized cake replica of the purple sneaker.

PP X SNOOP 6

Snoop expressed his brotherhood with Plein, which happened organically over time and started off with mutual fanhood. Growing up in Long Beach California, Snoop said, “Me and Philipp have been friends for a few years. We’ve done a few events together, some runway shows in different countries. We decided to come up with a collaboration, so I wanted to put my influence on a shoe, but I wanted him to perfect the show so I didn’t really have too much to do with creative as much as him and his team did, because I trust what they do. You can walk to it, dance to it. You can work out to it. You can wear it with pants, shorts, sweats. You can wear it with anything. It’s made for everybody.”

PP X SNOOP 2

As Plein has stated before, he values the importance of “authentic” partnerships. Snoop has performed at previous Plein shows and both the rapper’s father and son have walked the designer’s runway. “It’s a family business,” expressed Plein.

Snoop Dogg’s Famous ‘Snoop DeVille’ 1996 Cadillac DeVille Is Available For Purchase Thanks To A Super Fan

Everyone wants a big of the Big D-O-Double G, and now thanks to a super-fan, the perfect opportunity has presented itself. While musician turned, mogul Snoop Dogg focused on expanding his empire, which includes a pet accessory line, children’s programming, and a biopic, the “Gin & Juice” rapper, is letting a few things go.

According to TMZ, one of the items he let go of was his famed 1966 Cadillac DeVille lowrider. Notably featured in 50 Cent’s 2004 “P.I.M.P. Remix” video, the car nicknamed ‘Snoop’s DeVille,’ is now owned by super-fan Christina Bonilla.

Although the car features a tricked-out audio system fit for any music lover, Bonilla reveals Snoop blew the engine, which resulted in him securing the vehicle as Snoop felt, “It was just taking up space in his car lot.”

Bonilla ensures that the one-time General Motors award-winning car’s interior and exterior are pristine. In addition, Bonilla reveals he has replaced the car’s engine and upgraded the audio system.

Christian Bonilla has not sought a set asking price for the vehicle. However, given the car is now a piece in hip-hop history, we’re sure purchasing the car will run you a pretty penny. For those wishing to enter a bid on the car, contact Bonilla on Instagram.
