Lil Durk Explains Why He Hates “Rats” In Resurfaced Clip That Has Fans Divided

Last year, we covered Lil Durk appearing on DJ Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast, where he spoke on why he has a hatred for snitches. It’s one of many resurfaced clips these days that caused a stronger conversation for fans this time around thanks to the Chicago rapper’s arrest for alleged murder-for-hire conspiracy. Many more insensitive jokes came around, whereas other fans labeled this as tragically prophetic or as a misguided critique. As you can see in the comments section under the Instagram post below, it was a pretty divisive discussion that became all the more relevant after this legal trouble began this week.

I hate all rats,” Lil Durk had expressed to DJ Akademiks. “If you ever told, if you ever tell, I hate you. Like, with a passion. That took away half of my – That made me who I am today. That took away half of my life. Motherf***er telling on my pops, and that’s who I needed. So I was raised by a woman. I was raised by my momma, who taught me everything I know. So I really hate rats with real passions. Like, I hate you. Bad. I’m looking to the camera. I hate a f***ing rat.”

For those unaware, alleged court documents reportedly indicated that there was an informant in Lil Durk’s camp that provided information about this case. The alleged OTF member reportedly just got out of prison after a roughly 12-year stint, and allegedly wore a wire to relay info to federal authorities. However, this is still an early report that hasn’t gotten much other confirmation, so take this with a grain of salt. Perhaps this isn’t exactly what court documents suggest, but we’ll have to wait and see.

As for other recent updates in Lil Durk’s situation, he reportedly still waits in a Miami prison before his transfer to Los Angeles. That’s for the California indictment that originally alleged that OTF was involved in Lul Pab’s death in the city in 2022, which was allegedly retaliation for the murder of King Von. Meanwhile, the hip-hop world continues to debate and discuss this saga.

Lil Baby Throws Up YSL Sign While Rapping About Snitches: Watch

It’s no secret that Lil Baby’s not a fan of snitches, but he recently made it clearer than ever which ones he’s referring to in his music. During one of his recent performances, he threw up a YSL sign while spitting about alleged rats. After Gunna took a plea deal for his RICO charges and got released from prison at the end of last year, there were a ton of rumors floating around that he snitched on Young Thug.

Though Gunna’s adamantly denied this for some time, the rumors continue, particularly among those calling for Young Thug’s release. It’s been speculated before that Lil Baby took aim at Gunna on one of his songs, rapping, “Some n***as taking pleas at trial I know that slime ain’t happy.” It was even later speculated that Young Thug told Lil Baby and Lil Durk to call Gunna out on his album Business Is Business, with an alleged phone call of the rumored exchange making its rounds online over the summer.

Lil Baby Takes Aim At Snitches

“Yo, aye Wham, if you thinkin’ about responding to the little sh*t that buddy put out, I want you to respond on my album. I’m droppin’ this spontaneous album on the same day he drops his album. I’m going to name this sh*t Business Is Business,” he said in the alleged phone call.

As for Young Thug, he remains behind bars, awaiting his upcoming trial scheduled for the end of this month. If he’s fully convicted for the crimes he’s accused of, he could be looking at life in prison. The YSL founder waited for months for the jury selection process to wrap up, which just happened earlier this week. The jury will be made up of seven Black women, two white women, two Black men, and one white man. What do you think of Lil Baby throwing a YSL sign at one of his recent shows? Young Nudy Celebrates Beating His Case Despite “Snitches”

Recently, Young Nudy took to social media to celebrate his legal win. According to the hitmaker, he’s come out on top in a case he’s been dealing with for years now, and has his defense team to thank. He also took the opportunity to call out snitches, noting how he even they weren’t able to slow him down.

“They can’t muthaf**kin stop stop Big Gun,” Young Nudy announced to his followers earlier this week. “I been dealing with this s**t for five years with this case. I done beat them folks to sleep. While it remains unclear exactly which case Young Nudy is referring to, it’s possible that it was the charges he was arrested on in 2019. He and 21 Savage were taken into custody after a traffic stop in February of that year. Nudy was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and being associated with a criminal street gang, while 21 Savage was arrested for being an illegal immigrant. This marked the start of 21 Savage’s longwinded legal battle that finally came to a close earlier this month.

Fans are just glad that Young Nudy has one less obstacle in the way of his career, which only continues to grow. He recently teamed up with Latto and Sexyy Red for a remix of “Peaches & Eggplants,” was joined onstage by Offset at his show, and more. He also appears on the deluxe edition of Killer Mike’s new album MICHAEL, which wasn’t easy. Apparently, Killer Mike had to phone in Nudy’s mom to get him on the LP. What do you think of Young Nudy finally beating his case? How do you feel about his reaction? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Nicki Minaj Insinuates Cardi B Called The Cops On Kenneth Petty Because She Flopped

Nicki Minaj recently took to social media, sharing a lengthy post detailing her swatting experience. The rap diva also shared what appears to be a photo of the person allegedly behind the swatting, alongside a phone call made to police about Nicki and her husband, Kenneth Petty. In the call, the person is heard telling authorities that a man is firing off shots while holding a child, and a woman is trying to get the man to put the child down. This presumably refers to Nicki, Petty, and their 2-year-old son.

The swatter also suggests that the man could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and that he might be trying to leave with the child. Nicki went off in her post, detailing the terrifying experience of having her home swatted. “2 times my home was surrounded by large guns. This person wanted a family with a 2 year old to be shot at. Yet, nothing on any blog,” she wrote. “This same person made a false claim to CPS.”

Nicki Minaj Says She Has “Snitches In High Places”

Nicki continued, seemingly suggesting that someone in the industry could be behind the whole thing. She then pointed out that her haters haven’t managed to drag her down, noting the success of her new single. “When you have snitches in high places of the music industry who don’t want you to win but realize they can’t stop you because God’s anointing in my life is very real,” she explains. She went on to hype up her new album Pink Friday 2, which is slated for release in November.

Some are speculating that the “snitch” she’s referring to could be Cardi B, as they’ve clashed in the past. Their fanbases have been at war for years now, and lately, so have their husbands. Petty even landed himself on house arrest recently after making some threats against Offset. Cardi also just dropped off her new single “Bongos,” which Nicki might be equating to a “flop.” What do you think of Nicki’s latest Instagram post? Lil Durk Reveals The Surprisingly Emotional Reason He Hates Snitches

Lil Durk has been on a winning streak recently. From his music to his contributions to his community, the rapper has been on an upward climb. His latest release, “All My Life,” is a single featuring J. Cole. Lyrically, it is about Lil Durk changing the way the public views him. That has certainly been happening for the rapper as he has made significant strides to help his community and himself. He has been very vocal recently about his focus on mental health. The rapper has also had several meetings with the new Chicago mayor about how to improve the lives of the city’s children. He even attending the mayor’s swearing-in ceremony. Additionally, Lil Durk seems to have risen above any supposed competition musically.

Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy have had a pretty public beef recently, but it seems like the numbers speak for themselves. Durk’s single was released on the same day as YoungBoy’s newest mixtape, Richest Opp. The Chicago rapper was meant to release his entire album on the same day, as well, but he decided to delay it. YoundBoy expressed his frustration towards Durk for delaying the release of Almost Healed. However, it seems that the voice has achieved more success with his May 12 release than YoungBoy. According to Spotify, the 17 tracks on Richest Opp have accumulated a total of 15 million streams. Furthermore, only four songs from the mixtape have surpassed 1 million streams. In contrast, “All My Life” alone has amassed 21 million streams. Both projects are yet to make their chart debuts. However, “All My Life” is projected to debut at #2 on the Billboard 100.

Lil Durk Says A Snitch Took Away “Half Of His Life”

Lil Durk has been making strides to improve his mental health and strengthen his community. However, that doesn’t mean the Chicago rapper likes snitches. In a new interview that was posted on Akademiks Instagram page, he makes his position very clear. “I hate all rats. If you ever told, if you ever tell, I hate you. Like, with a passion,” Lil Durk said. “That made me who I am today. That took away half of my life. Motherf*cker telling on my pops… so I was raised by a woman… my momma. So I really hate rats with a real passion. Like, I hate you. Bad. I’m looking to the camera. I hate f*cking rats.”

Instagram users took to the comment section on the post to let their feelings on the matter be known. Some agreed with Lil Durk, while others pointed out that the “rat” can’t be blamed for crimes that his father committed. “He should be mad his dad was involved in that gang shit,” one commenter said. Another chimed in to agree, stating, “Father should have made better choices.” What do you think of Lil Durk’s comments on snitches? Do you agree or do you think the blame should be on his father for committing crimes? Let us know in the comments below!

Bobby Shmurda Drops Anti-Snitch Freestyle, Wants Young Thug Freed

Snitching has been a hot topic in Hip Hop since its inception, but Young Thug’s case has shone a new light on the subject. Thugger and seven of his co-defendants are currently on trial, and it’s slated to be lengthy. Currently, officials are still combing through potential jurors, and it’s a process speculated to take months. Initially, over two dozen people were arrested in connection to the YSL RICO case. Gunna was the first to strike a plea deal, and soon, seven others followed.

Gunna has laid low as he’s faced critics who say he’s snitched on Thug. However, the “Pushin P” rapper denied the allegations, explaining that he took an Alford Plea in his best interest and has no plans on cooperating with the authorities. Hip Hop has weighed in, with some doing so silently. Several artists have unfollowed Gunna and denounced snitching. Others, like Bobby Shmurda, haven’t referenced Gunna at all, but the New York rapper did share a freestyle where he called out the industry’s rats.

Today (February 10), Shmudra dropped off a freestyle on Instagram, and while he didn’t mention Thugger in his bars, he did include him in the caption. It seems that Thug tried reaching out, but Shmurda wasn’t available. “I missed my n*gga @thuggerthugger1 call yesterday 😖,” Shmurda wrote. “So @4shootersonly f*ck it we dropping this today !!!! Straight from the Supreme Court screaming🗣 #freeslime 4eva 🤢🦁💚.” The performance was on the steps of the Supreme Court, and the rapper was making his voice heard.

Man, f*ck all y’all Rap n*ggas / Most of y’all some rat n*ggas / All y’all chit chat n*ggas, oh yeah,” Shmurda spits. This isn’t the first time he shared a track targeting snitches. In early January, he did the same, and even then, people quickly believed he was speaking about the Atlanta icon. However, it must be noted that Shmurda hasn’t named Gunna, but he has continued to advocate for Young Thug’s release.

Shmurda was released from prison this time last year after serving six years. His willingness to do his time and not turn on his friends has been praised in Hip Hop. Meanwhile, it is unclear what Gunna’s next moves are or when he will emerge from his silence. Make sure to check out our article: What Happens to Gunna Now?

Bobby Shmurda Denounces Snitches On “Rats”

Bobby Shmurda’s standing on business with his latest release, “Rats.”

Shmurda unveiled a brand new single today that takes aim at the snitches in the world. His new song takes aim at those who’ve failed to stay loyal and abide by the code while also showcasing another side of Bobby. The rapper stretches his vocals out throughout the record to emphasize the pain in his voice, which is rather refreshing in comparison to his previous efforts recently.

Bobby shared a snippet of the single a few weeks ago, which led many to believe that he was taking aim at Gunna. Since the ATL rapper copped an Alford Plea in his case, while confirming that YSL is a gang, he’s faced an immense amount of backlash. The timeliness of the record indicates that he’s dissing Gunna, though Bobby never confirmed the news. However, the opening bars undoubtedly reflected a similar situation to Gunna’s.

“Heard snitchin’ all on your friends/ Took a plea deal, left the streets real/ but left your dawg in that pen,” he raps.

Bobby Shmurda’s continued to unveil new music over the last few months. Though it took a minute for his comeback track, he released the BodBoy EP summer of 2022 and also indicated that his long-awaited debut album would drop independently. So far, he hasn’t updated fans on the debut project but he teamed up with LouGotCash in October for their joint project, SHMURDAGOTCASH.

Check out Bobby Shmurda’s new song “Rats” below.

Quotable Lyrics
That pain don’t ever end
What they played back in that courtroom
Keep playing back in his head, n***a
What all y’all n***as said
What all y’all n***as did
