Tory Lanez & Yoko Gold Drop “Hurts Me” Before Taking It Off The Internet

Tory Lanez has been behind bars for a few months now as he was found guilty in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Although he has been trying to appeal the ruling, nothing has worked out in his favor. However, some fans have still stood by him throughout all of this. In fact, a snippet from a song called “Hurts Me” has been blowing minds on TikTok. While there has been some backlash to this trend, fans have been mesmerized by the sound of the track. Overall, it is a song that could have been off “Alone At Prom,” which is an album that some believe to be his best.

Yesterday, Tory Lanez issued a message from prison. He thanked his fans for their support. Moreover, he revealed that “Hurts Me” with Yoko Gold would be dropping on streaming services. Of course, fans were extremely happy with this decision. At this point, the song has gotten a life of its own, and it only made sense for him to capitalize. Unfortunately, the song has already been taken off YouTube, Spotify, and various other platforms.

Tory Lanez – “Hurts Me”

At the time of writing this, no explanation has been given for this decision. Ultimately, some believe it could be due to the fact that the song still sounds unfinished. Perhaps Yoko Gold is simply taking the song down and fixing it to make it sound more complete. Although, this is just speculation, and there is no official reason at the time of writing this. That said, fans are currently clamoring for the song to get back on streaming.

Overall, it remains to be seen whether or not the song will appear again. Certainly, more details will be coming out, very soon. That said, stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the music world. Additionally, let us know what you think of this song in the comments section below. Lupe Fiasco Goes Hard On New Song “Checkin’”

Lupe Fiasco has treated fans to his second new release of 2023 so far. The new song, called “Checkin’” dropped last night. It was surprise-released at midnight after Lupe originally announced it would come out at noon today. The track features a hard-hitting beat and Lupe being as lyrically creative. The one surprising part is how much of it all is how much autotune is deployed over his vocals.

“Checkin’” is the second single Lupe FIasco has dropped this year. Back in April, he released “SentRock.” The track was a collaboration with the artist of the same name who made a painting based on Lupe’s lyrics. The resulting painting ultimately became the album cover of the single. Lupe teased the release of “Checkin’” last week on Twitter. In a discussion over the potential for making music using the new Apple Vision Pro Lupe still saw fit to remind fans that new material was going to come out.

Lupe Fiasco Checks In

Lupe Fiasco’s most recent album DRILL MUSIC IN ZION dropped last year. The record saw the rapper interpreting the sound of drill music within his own style. Back in March, Lupe was named the Saybrook fellow at Yale. It’s a further foray into education after he was given the title of visiting professor at MIT last year. After starting some beef with Kid Cudi earlier this year, Lupe took the opportunity to shout out some other rappers that he actually does like. Most notably he called Ja Rule his “favorite rapper” to the surprise of many of his fans.

Lupe Fiasco also made a tweet last week pledging his support for the 2024 election. He backed People’s Party candidate Cornel West in a short statement posted to Twitter. Clearly, he’s left more politically motivated than usual by the candidate’s platform stating it will be the “first and only time” he votes. What do you think of Lupe Fiasco’s new single? Let us know in the comment section below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Let a kid stand with no kick stand

Gunna Teases Unreleased Snippet After Announcing New Album

The release of Gunna’s “bread & butter” proved that the snitching allegations against him didn’t really matter when it came to music. Gunna, who many believe cooperated with authorities in the YSL RICO case, returned to the fold earlier this month with his first post-prison release. The single debuted at #48 on the Billboard Hot 100 — an impressive feat for a rapper shunned by the majority of the hip-hop community. Still, such a stride for his first single strongly indicates that he’s coming for summer 2023.

With his upcoming album, A Gift & A Curse reportedly due out this Friday, the rapper has shared a new snippet of music. On Wednesday night, Gunna shared a new snippet to the ‘Gram to celebrate his birthday. The record finds Gunna bringing his breezy melodious flow to the center and it’s certainly building excitement for what he has in store on his next project. At this point, he hasn’t revealed a title but it seems like we could potentially hear it tonight.

The Atlanta star was arrested last year as part of a sweeping YSL RICO indictment that currently has Young Thug behind bars. After spending months behind bars, he got out ahead of the holidays after copping an Alford Plea. His attorney and other legal experts explained that the deal wouldn’t effect the other co-defendants but still, many felt that he threw Young Thug under the bus when he admitted that YSL was a gang and stated that the guns and drugs found in his car weren’t his.

While people like Boosie and Lil Durk slammed Gunna for copping a plea, the Wunna rapper addressed the backlash on his latest single. “Never gave no statement or agreed to take no stand on ‘em,” he raps in regards to his decision to take a plea. Elsewhere in the song, he seemingly addressed those in the rap community who distanced themselves from him. “You bitch-ass n****s got me as the topic of the chat / You switched on me when you know you in business with a rat / And the boy that’s like your brother, ain’t nobody speak on that,” he continued. Although many felt like it was a shot at Lil Baby, Gunna later denied that was the case. Check out the new snippet from Gunna above.

Roddy Ricch Previews New Song

Rapper Roddy Ricch has recently taken to social media to preview some new music. He shared a new snippet of an unreleased song with his Twitter followers, captioning the post, “LM catch my breathe.” Though it’s unclear what exactly the snippet is or when the full version will be released, fans in his comments section are eager to hear new music from Roddy Ricch.

In November of last year, Roddy Ricch released his LP, Feed Tha Streets III. He told Zane Lowe that his main objective for the project was “just having fun,” claiming he “didn’t want to worry about too much outside things.” In June of 2022, he also provided fans with a three-song EP, titled The Big 3. Earlier this year, he collaborated with Kodak Black to release “I Remember.” He also worked alongside Blxst in March to share the track “Passionate.”

Roddy Ricch Teases Upcoming Music

In a March episode of Hulu’s RapCaviar Presents, Roddy Ricch opened up about the pressures he feels on social media. “A lot of people don’t have to deal with more than 10 people,” he shared, “So just imagine seven million that see your posts every day… ” The rapper went on to explain, “Jesus only had 12 disciples, and I ain’t nowhere near Jesus… Let me be great, man.”

Last month, court documents revealed that Roddy Ricch was ordered to pay the mother of his child, Alexandra Kiser, a lump sum payment of $24,000 in child support as a temporary settlement. She had filed for full custody of their 3-year-old son, Kadence, earlier in the month, claiming that Ricch abuses drugs. She was seeking $20,000 a month in child support payments from her ex. “[He] is a very successful and highly paid entertainer who goes by the name of Roddy Ricch. He has a net worth of approximately $25,000,000. He commands fees of $500,000 for appearances,” Kiser explained at the time. She also claimed “[Roddy Ricch] is gang-affiliated,” adding, “He has been arrested on a gun charge, domestic violence and regularly indulges in promethazine use. All of which are concerns for myself and our son.”

Lupe Fiasco Shares A Snippet Of New Music With Fans On Twitter

Many people were talking about the announcements made during Apple’s developer conference a few days ago. What most people zeroed in on is the new “Vision Pro,” discussing some of the strange imagery it produced and the $3500 price tag. One of those talking about the device was rapper Lupe Fiasco who saw potential in combining the device with Logic Pro to make music. He tweeted that thought alongside a funny gif of what it might look like making music while wearing the vision pro.

In a comment replying to the post, a fan expressed a sentiment that many artists are very used to hearing. “Long as we get more music,” the fan said and Lupe had the absolute perfect response. In a quote tweet of that comment, Lupe Fiasco dropped a clip of himself listening to some of his new music. Even though it’s just a 30-second clip it was a great way to answer fans calling for new music. The song doesn’t appear to have been made with the vision pro and it doesn’t have any release date at the moment.

Lupe Fiasco Gives Fans A Taste Of New Heat

Lupe Fiasco’s last new music came in April when he dropped “SentRock. The song was a collaboration with the visual artist SentRock who painted a picture inspired by Lupe’s lyrical output. The painting served as the cover for the single and it’s still being sold online for $400. Lupe’s most recent album DRILL MUSIC IN ZION dropped last June. The album featured much of his familiar style with occasional interpretations of the motifs of drill music.

Lupe has found other ways to keep himself busy though. In March he was named the Saybrook Fellow at Yale. That followed another foray into higher education last year when he was given the title of visiting professor at MIT. Just this morning he made a tweet giving his support in the 2024 election to People’s Party candidate Cornel West. Tell us what you think about Lupe’s new snippet and making music in the Vision Pro in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the music world.

Gunna Seemingly Addresses Snitch Allegations In New Snippet

Gunna is someone who fans have been waiting to hear from. Of course, a lot of this has to do with the fact that he was able to get out of the YSL Rico case. Overall, there are many people trying to claim that the artist snitched. Moreover, they are alleging that he snitched on Young Thug specifically. However, none of this information has actually been confirmed. Instead, some are just speculating, especially with how beloved Thugger is. Unfortunately, this has led to some unfavorable things said about Wunna.

That said, Gunna has been teasing a return to the music world. There is heavy anticipation for a new album, and we may just get it somewhat soon. Although, nothing has actually been confirmed by the artist and his team. Instead, we have just gotten a few social media posts here and there. Additionally, there have been instances where Gunna has provided us with a snippet or two. Well, last night, we got another one, and this time, it sounds like he may be addressing the controversy around his name.

Gunna Is Set To Return

In the video above, Gunna can be heard rapping over some interesting production. Overall, this does not sound like the type of music that he used to make in the past. However, he does mention the snitching allegations at one point, saying “He forgave me for my sins now they mad that I got out.” At this point, it is kind of unclear as to what is being implied here. Regardless, he is still mentioning the Rico trial, one way or another. We’re sure fans will have a lot to say about all of this.

For now, the YSL Rico trial continues, with Young Thug at the center of it all. Throughout the process, Thugger has remained fairly stoic, although he has had some medical complications. Only time will tell how this trial goes, and whether or not Thug will ever get to make music again. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on this Gunna snippet, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world.

Lil Durk & J. Cole Preview Upcoming Collaboration

Lil Durk might have his first #1 record on his hands with his upcoming collaboration with J Cole. The two rappers linked up to film the music video for their upcoming single, which is supposed to land on Durk’s next album. Though a collab between the two artists can really go in any direction, it sounds like they have a hit on their hands. Lil Durk took to Instagram where he shared a snippet of the record from the video shoot. Surrounded by a group of kids, Cole holds the camera as he raps along to his verse.

Cole goes the melodic direction with his verse, clearly following Lil Durk’s lead. “Lately, I just wanna show up and body of shit, yeah, yeah/ Always been a lil’ mathematician, lately it’s cash I’m gettin/ I’m losin’ count of these bags, I been movin’ too fast/ Hard times don’t last, remember when cops harassed,” Cole raps. Durk delivers a monstrous hook that sounds prepared to top the charts. “All my life, they been trying to keep me down/ All my life, they thought I wouldn’t make it out,” Durk sings, backed by a choir of children.

Lil Durk’s Collab With J Cole Is On The Way

The Chicago rapper seems to be preparing the upcoming collab with J. Cole as the first single from his forthcoming album. Although it doesn’t have a date yet, he said that if his Instagram post reaches a certain quota, he’ll share the cover art and its release. “100K comments I’m dropping album cover and date call my bluff s/o Cole,” he wrote. “IM BACK.” At the time of writing, the post has racked up 465,000+ likes and nearly 69K comments.

Durk announced the collaboration in early April when he was performing at Dreamville Festival. Although he explained that he wanted to perform at the North Carolina festival to get his feet wet in that space, he explained that he and J Cole recorded new music together. He didn’t necessarily provide any other information besides that but evidently, there’s a mutual respect for each other. We’ll keep you posted on a release date. Check out the snippet above.

The Weeknd Shares Ethereal New Snippet

It’s The Weeknd season, apparently, as he shared even more new music with his fans via social media. Moreover, this comes after the Canadian superstar released the single “Double Fantasy” with Future just last Friday (April 21). On this new snippet, Abel Tesfaye seems to play with the ethereal, dramatic, and synth-heavy style of pop and R&B that he became the world’s biggest star through. The autotune sounds a little more prominent on it than usual, which actually makes for a cool effect in the song’s dreamy atmosphere. However, the song might not appear as a solo release, but rather as part of the next Mike Dean album dropping this week, which Abel said he’s co-executive producing.

Still, the tease’s quality should come as no surprise, as he’s arguably at his artistic peak. In fact, that’s a sentiment that The Weeknd seems to agree with. Recently, his interview with Interview Magazine saw him dive deep into his most recent moves. One of those is the upcoming release of his HBO show “The Idol,” the soundtrack for which will feature the aforementioned “Double Fantasy.” During that conversation, the 33-year-old reflected on his provocative nature as an artist. Also, he spoke on his inspirations and how he’s excited to manifest them in musical form.

The Weeknd Is Keeping The Heat Up

“I’ve been inspired by The Wall and Purple Rain and when Bowie was doing it,” The Weeknd revealed. “But even films like Shaft, the music is literally telling the story of the film. But I want to take it to the next level. I want to challenge myself and I feel like, as a musician, I’m the best I’ve ever been. There’s a whole album,” he remarked about “The Idol”‘s soundtrack, letting fans know his TV endeavors won’t cut into his art. “I’m not shying away from making music. It’s just adding another element to my already crowded schedule.”

At another point in the interview, he addressed the controversies that followed him in his career. “I’ve been judged since the beginning,” the “Faith” singer expressed. “My stuff’s always kind of been provocative. As an artist, you have to know that you can’t please everybody. You have to accept that it comes with the job.” Check out the snippet above and return to HNHH for the latest news on The Weeknd.

6ix9ine Promises Latin Album, Unveils New Snippet

If you have been paying attention to 6ix9ine as of late, you know that he has completely changed his sound. However, you can’t mention his recent comeback without also talking about what preceded it. The rapper was attacked at an LA Fitness in Florida, which prompted arrests and an investigation. Subsequently, the artist decided to flee to Cuba where he unleashed a new ballad. Following the success of that track, he went to Africa to film the music video for “WAPAE.” This was an immediate smash hit that many are saying could be a Fifa anthem.

With the success of these two songs in mind, it should come as no surprise that 6ix9ine would want to remain in the Latin music lane. Overall, those shouting raps from the “GUMMO” days have become extremely tiresome and repetitive. Additionally, the rapper understands that Latin music is having a huge moment and is a global genre. That said, it should come as no surprise that he is looking to capitalize on this. While some may abhor his foray into this genre, others are absolutely loving it.

6ix9ine Has A New Smash On The Way

In the video clip up above, 6ix9ine showcased his most recent snippet. Of course, this new song has much of the same Latin flavor as his previous two singles. Overall, this track goes heavy on the beat switches. Ultimately, it sounds like something that could be played in various arenas all across the world. Furthermore, 6ix9ine is looking to film the music video for the song. He is asking fans to comment their country, and the country with the most interactions will be the winner. It is a cool idea that will likely lead to an action-packed visual.

At this point, 6ix9ine is not everyone’s cup of tea. It is easy to see why when you consider the controversy surrounding him. Although, at this stage, it is hard to deny what he has going on right now. There seems to be a lot of hype behind his comeback, and it is impossible to ignore right now. Let us know what you think of this new snippet, in the comments below.

Lil Yachty Remixes Young Nudy & 21 Savage’s “EA” In New Snippet

Lil Yachty’s finally receiving his proper credit. A pioneering figure in the Soundcloud rap movement, he’s undoubtedly pushed the boundaries of hip-hop and influenced a generation of rappers who’ve followed him. However, in recent times, he’s also earned much more praise for his musical outings. 2022’s “Poland” became a viral hit that landed on many year-end song lists. But, it was his foray into psychedelic rock with Let’s Start Here that felt like a true testament to his range as an artist.

Some fans felt as though Let’s Start Here was Yachty’s attempt to abandon his rap beginnings. However, that clearly isn’t the case. He returned earlier this year with “Strike (Holster),” which bred some serious anticipation surrounding Yachty’s next project. Yachty leans into the vibrato delivery even further, just as he did on “Poland,” for a smooth, melodious banger. Still, it seems like “Strike (Holster)” is really just getting things in motion for a new era in Yachty’s career.

Lil Yachty Previews New Music

This week, Lil Yachty joined Kai Cenat on his recent livestream. Though the two delved into plenty of topics, including Cenat’s custom AF1s gifted by Twitch, the Atlanta rapper also previewed some new music. The rapper actually debuted a remix of Young Nudy and 21 Savage’s “EA,” which includes drill drums rather than Pi’erre Bourne’s signature trap percussion. It’s unclear where it’ll land but hopefully, it sees a release date in the near future.

Besides the recent remix, Lil Yachty’s been riding high in the last few months. He recently served as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live where he performed “The Black Seminole” and “Drive Me Crazy!” Prior to that, he revealed that he wanted to lock in for a joint album with Tyler, The Creator, who he said inspired him to explore the psychedelic rock sounds on his latest album Let’s Start Here. Overall, it looks like we’ll be getting a lot more music from Lil Yachty this year. Perhaps, he’ll announce an album sometime in the near future. Check out the snippet above and let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
