Alicia Keys Invites Ralph Yarl To Upcoming Kansas Show

Alicia Keys is doing her part to help injured teen Ralph Yarl feel seen. The “No One” singer has invited Yarl to her July concert date in Kansas. According to the boy’s attorney Lee Merritt, Keys has said that she would love to meet him at the show, as well. The singer’s offer was extended as part of a huge wave of support for the teen in recent weeks. In addition to Alicia Keys’ offer, TMZ says Roc Nation has even reached out and offered to support in any way they can.

For those unfamiliar, Ralph Yarl is a black 16-year-old who was shot several weeks ago by an elderly white homeowner. The assailant, Andrew Lester, is 86 years old. He is accused of shooting Yarl in the head and arm after the teen rang the man’s doorbell. Ralph went to the wrong address while attempting to pick up his siblings, according to the police and Ralph’s family. The homeowner allegedly shot the teenager through a locked glass door without exchanging words because he believed the teenager was attempting to break in and was “scared to death” by the boy’s size. Luckily for Yarl, this is one instance where there may be a happy outcome. He is on his way to recovery and seems to be fully functioning, despite being shot in the head.

Alicia Keys is no stranger to activism or giving a platform to the voiceless. She is a supporter of many charities, including foundations fighting against AIDS and promoting awareness of the need for change. It’s no surprise that the famed singer would reach out to Ralph Yarl. Keys’ charity work, while well known, may come as a shock to some. Though she gives to more than 30 charities and speaks out on many issues, she is often in the headlines for her lavish celebrity lifestyle. However, Alicia Keys’ is one celebrity who really puts her money where her mouth is.

In addition to giving to charity, Keys often speaks out through art and other means. She was recently featured on Janelle Monaé’s “Say Her Name,” a 17-minute song bringing awareness to the unlawful and unnecessary murders of black women like Sandra Bland and Breonna Taylor. The song also features the likes of Beyoncé, Tierra Whack, and Chloe Bailey. Thankfully, this instance of unnecessary violence against black youth may lead to both justice and a happy ending for Yarl. Five Dead In Texas “Execution Style” Shooting, Suspect Still At Large

Five people, including an eight-year-old boy, have reportedly been killed at a house in Cleveland, Texas. According to early police reports, the five victims, who are believed to be related, were shot “execution-style” inside their home. Additionally, the suspect, who is currently at-large, is believed to live in a neighboring house.

Police were called to the residence, about 55 miles north of Houston, at 11:31pm on April 28. The call was initially in response to a harassment complaint about an individual discharging a firearm on a neighboring property. The caller, who is believed to be one of the victims, had reportedly asked the individual to stop, as there was a baby asleep in the house. The suspect had reportedly said he could do what he wanted in his own yard. Additionally, a video doorbell camera later caught the suspect entering the house with a rifle.

Suspect In Texas Killings Armed And At-Large

However, police found a horrific scene when they arrived at the property. Inside the house, they found five victims who had been shot above the neck in what police are calling “execution style”. The youngest victim was just eight years old. Beneath the bodies of two deceased women located in an upstairs bedroom, police found three minors who had survived the killing. Furthermore, The victims were members of a 10-person household of Honduran heritage. All victims were killed using a .223 AR-15-style weapon. Additionally, more weapons were found inside the victim’s house.

Police believe that the suspect, who was reported to be intoxicated at the time of the 911 call, entered the house soon after being confronted about the discharging of his firearm. The suspect, who has not been named, has been described as a Hispanic male and a Mexican national. Additionally, other neighbors have reported that firearm discharge was a common part of life in the town. Police have warned that the suspect is armed and may no longer be in the Cleveland area. Furthermore, he is approximately 5-foot-8 and last seen wearing blue jeans with a black shirt and work boots and is described as having short black hair. Regardless, Rocky seemed to have a great time during the shoot, doing a wheelie on a bicycle and turning up with his entourage. Furthermore, recent footage shows the Harlem native sprinting down a street while wearing Timberlands, which could be a reaction GIF of its own. The Timbs are sacred, Rocky, so be careful with them when you run.

In addition, reports surfaced that he and his girlfriend Rihanna are reportedly house-hunting in Paris, as well. Photographers spotted them at various properties, including second-floor apartments and three-story houses. As such, many wonder just how much time the couple will spend in France over the foreseeable future. As one of music’s most successful and discussed power couples of the moment, such a luxury certainly isn’t out of reach for the two artists.

Also, A$AP Rocky and RiRi have been, unsurprisingly, serving looks around the city during their stay. No matter how low-key they try to be, people follow them around everywhere, and their stylish outfits don’t make that any easier. On her end, the “Diamonds” singer boasted her baby bump with a bright and cropped yellow sweater and sleek purple velvet pants. Lil Ronald Fatally Shot In Chicago, ShortyMobb Rapper Was Just 14 Years Old: Report

Reporting on the death of artists within the hip-hop community is never easy, especially when they’re this young. ABC 7 Chicago reports that a 14-year-old boy was fatally shot on the city’s South Side a few days ago. The incident occurred on Thursday (April 20) at 1 PM local time on the 2300 block of East 80th Street. Though the outlet was unaware of the teen’s identity, TruthTellerTV on YouTube has since claimed that ShortyMobb rapper Lil Ronald lost his life due to the senseless gun violence.

When he was shot, the Drill artist was allegedly sitting in a car. He was rushed to South Shore Hospital immediately after, though he was ultimately pronounced dead by doctors. There have been no arrests in connection with the murderous incident, however, local detectives continue to investigate and seek answers. Aside from the YouTube upload claiming Ronald is the crime’s victim, a Reddit post from last week also shows a screenshot from Lil Los’ Instagram Story, seemingly paying tribute to the rising star, taken too soon.

Teen Drill Artist Lil Ronald Reported Dead in Chicago

As HipHopDX notes, we have yet to receive official confirmation that Ronald is the one who was fatally shot in Chicago. If true, the slaying marks the second murder of a ShortyMobb member in recent months. According to a post from @raphousetv, another person in the crew, Cello, was killed on the East Side of Chicago earlier this year. While reports of the teenager’s alleged death continue to circulate online, hundreds of Twitter users are sharing their thoughts on the tragedy.

“This is why it’s drastically important for parents to be 100% active in their children’s lives,” one person wrote. “And actually show them you care and love them. Or they will find it elsewhere in a different form.” Others pointed out photos making rounds of Lil Ronald flexing a weapon for the camera. “I mean these images do say a lot,” they noted. “The obsession these young people got with guns is unhealthy, backed by a country that enforces these silly gun laws.” Someone else wrote back, “He’s 14, you can’t have a handgun at that age. Alec Baldwin Holds Rifle On “Rust” Set After Criminal Charges Dropped

Alec Baldwin was spotted wielding a rifle on the set of Rust, just one day after the criminal charges were dropped against him regarding the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin fatally shot Hutchins while rehearsing a scene for the same film in 2021. He had fired a prop gun that was loaded with a real bullet.

In pictures from the set, Baldwin is in character wearing leather boots, gray pants, a shirt with a black vest, and a bandana. He plays Harland Rust in the movie. Filming is taking place near the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Paradise Valley, Montana. The previous shoots took place in New Mexico, but they’ve moved in response to facing safety violations on set. They’ve also agreed to pay a $100,000 fine in the state.

The charges for manslaughter against Baldwin were dropped earlier this week. “We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident,” Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro, the attorneys for Baldwin, said in a statement. In the time since the shooting, Baldwin has maintained he didn’t pull the trigger and pleaded not guilty. Despite the decision, prosecutors say that they may refile the charges in response to an additional investigation that is being conducted.

While Baldwin appears to be off the hook for the shooting for now, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer on the original Rust set, is still facing involuntary manslaughter charges of her own related to the fatal shooting.

Lil Tjay Performs For Massive Crowd In Paris After Shooting Recovery

At just 21 years old, Lil Tjay has been through a lot – including being shot seven times last June. At the time, the young lyricist was hours away from hopping on a flight to Paris. This obviously never came to be as a result of his nearly fatal injuries. He’s taken the time since then to recover and focus on his health – still showing out with noteworthy new music releases from time to time. Now that he’s feeling more like himself again, Tjay finally took his flight to France this past weekend. He performed in the city of love for a crowd who was nothing short of enthused to see him back on stage.

On Sunday (April 16), Akademiks posted a video from the recent event. It shows hundreds of people shining light from their phones back at Tjay as he entertains them. “I got shot right before I got on the plane,” the “Beat the Odds” artist reflected at the show. “I got a second chance at life,” he also noted before launching into a fan favourite from his discography.

Lil Tjay Does it Big in Paris

On his own Instagram feed, Tjay has been commerating his time overseas with plenty of content. He began the month of April in Israel, later travelling to Germany, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Hungary. Earlier this week, he also hit up Italy. Shawn Kemp Charged For Firing Gun Outside Of Mall

Shawn Kemp recently made headlines after a video seemed to show the NBA legend firing a weapon outside of his vehicle. The alleged incident happened outside of a Tacoma, Washington, shopping mall. Kemp is now being charged with assault in the first degree over the incident in March. However, NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski obtained a statement from Kemp’s lawyer Scott Boatman, saying Kemp will plea not guilty.

“Today, Shawn Kemp learned that the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office elected to file charges against him,” Boatman said in an official statement shared by Wojnarowski. “He will be entering a plea of not guilty at his upcoming arraignment. Kemp has been fully cooperative with the police and the prosecutor’s office throughout this process. He is confident that once the jury hears from the witnesses and sees the evidence at trial, they will conclude that he was justified in defending himself that afternoon. He has retained the law offices of Aaron Kiviat and Tim Leary to defend in these charges.”

The incident took place on March 9th of this year. In a report by TMZ stated that witnesses told police that Kemp fired around 5 to 10 shots during the incident. However, sources close to Kemp claim the former NBA All-star was only acting in self-defense. As previously stated, a video of the incident began circulating around social media almost immediately. The video does show a man standing beside his vehicle. Also, you can hear the sound of the gun being fired by the man in the video.

Shawn Kemp is most well known for being one the most iconic dunkers in NBA history. The former Seattle Supersonics star would put opposing players on posters as a nightly routine. Kemp was a part of one NBA Finals run in Seattle. Ultimately, Kemp and the Supersonics would lose to the Chicago Bulls. Arguably the greatest Bulls team of Michael Jordan’s entire stint in Chicago.
