The Game Disses Rick Ross: Fans React To The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

It looks like the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef might get a lot of rappers more confrontational this year, and we have our first example of a side quest in this feud. Moreover, The Game just dropped a diss track against Rick Ross titled “Freeway’s Revenge,” and it’s a pretty scathing takedown of a lot of his qualities, character, history, and approaches. Fans were quick to react, either praising the song for its lyrical density, clowning both MCs for still trying to get attention of a much bigger battle, or criticizing the Los Angeles rapper’s approach to taking down the Maybach Music Group boss.

Furthermore, we know that The Game and Rick Ross apparently had issues before this, although we didn’t know whether the former was just defending Drake from the latter’s trolling. While there are references to Drizzy’s beef with Kendrick Lamar on “Freeway’s Revenge,” they’re mostly used for bar work and not as any continuations of that particular back-and-forth. He remains focused on his target and doesn’t hold back, calling into question his street credibility and health. The Documentary lyricist even hilariously imitates Rozay at one point and makes fun of his constant trolling.

At least fans now know that this went deeper than just The Game supporting Drake against Kendrick Lamar, although that definitely seems to be the origin of all this. However, a lot of fans had differing opinions on whether or not this was a good look for this specific beef. It’s fair to say that the timing of it also affected its perception, since some folks want to avoid anything related to beef right now after such a hectic past week. But at the end of the day, some stories are just too spicy to pass up. Check out more reactions to “Freeway’s Revenge” down below.

The Game Seemingly Disses Rick Ross Over Drake & Kendrick Lamar Beef

Kendrick Lamar and Drake have a lot of rappers coming out of the woodwork to give their takes, which has been a pretty corny affair to say the least. Regardless, it’s clear that this has the potential to cause some other direct beef between these MCs, an issue that came up when it comes to The Game and Rick Ross. Moreover, the former posted an Instagram Story this week that many feel like is connected to the latter, and the reason why is the context of Kendrick and Drizzy’s feud. Whether or not this was really intentional, it lines up with everything else that the two have said.

“It be the fat n***as wit the skinny legs always running they mouth,” The Game wrote, who is firmly on Team Drake. Rick Ross supports Kendrick Lamar, and while there’s no confirmation that the Los Angeles spitter actually meant to attack him, it’s understandable why there would be some conflict here. Also, it checks out because Rozay’s been a massive social media troll in all of this against the 6ix God, speaking on his diss tracks and pushing that side of the narrative. That’s something that no one involved in this can deny: it’s all optics at this point.

However, there is reason to believe that The Game and Rick Ross’ issues run deeper than this, and already ran deep before this whole situation spiraled quickly out of control. All the way back in 2016, the former’s manager denied that the latter was the one to squash Game’s beef with Meek Mill, and maybe these sentiments have kept them at odds with each other. We’ll see whether the Maybach Music Group boss decides to switch targets and go at the Documentary creative and we can see another phase of this. But most fans probably don’t want that anymore.

Meanwhile, Joe Budden previously compared the two MCs in 2019 if you want to hear a take on their prowess on the mic. We also can’t rule out that The Game and Rick Ross won’t beef with other artists as a result of all this. After all, neither shies away from their beliefs and lifestyles, which always ruffles feathers. Only time will tell, but can they at least wait until we’re all a little less exhausted by rap beef?

Rick Ross Jokingly Blames Drake After His Jet Crash-Landed In Dallas

It’s all fun and feuds until someone gets hurt. Rick Ross has spent the last month clowning his former collaborator Drake on social media. He went after the Toronto rapper’s plastic surgery, his attempts to emulate African American culture, and his private jet. He claimed that Drake had been given an old jet when he signed to Young Money, and warned him to be careful the next time he took it for a spin. The rapper’s words evidently came back to bite him. Less than a month after he was clowning Drake’s jet, Ross’ private jet was forced to make a crash landing in Dallas, Texas.

The exact cause of the crash has not been revealed. Photos from the landing were obtained by the X (formerly Twitter) account Keep6ixSolid. These photos show the jet, with Ross’ name emblazoned on the side, on a large patch of grass. The caption that came with the photos mocked Ross’ past as a C.O., but it confirmed he walked away from the landing unscathed. “The retired Miami government employee and current cosplayer walked away unharmed because the wing stopped the plan,” it read. The news quickly spread on social media, with DJ Akademiks reposting and sending his best wishes to the rapper.

Drake Liked The Post Confirming Rick Ross’ Safety

The most notable response, however, was from Drake. Rick Ross and Drake are about as opposed as two rappers could be at the current moment. The latter called out the rapper’s age on “Push Ups,” and Ross spent the entirety of “Champagne Moments” calling Drake “white boy.” That being said, the 6 God was seemingly pleased to see that his former partner-in-crime had landed safely. He liked the KeepSixSolid post. Fans flocked to X to meme the incident, and make jokes about Drake planning the crash landing. Ross even got in on the fun, posting the caption “Drake fighter jet shot us down!” on his IG Story.

At the end of the day, though, these two rappers have known each other for over a decade. There was a time where Drake actually considered Rick Ross to be his favorite person to rap with. I got respect for a lot of rappers,” he said during his It’s All a Blur tour. “But I got one guy, he’s my favorite to rap with on any song. His name is Rick Ross. That’s my brother.” The tour took place in 2023. A lot has transpired since then, but it’s a good time to remember the great music Drake and Ross gave fans.

Rick Ross Blows Kisses & Comically Laughs At Drake In Music Video For “Champagne Moments”

Rick Ross’ sights have clearly been set on Drake to “eliminate” him and only him over the last several weeks. The Mississippi rapper and MMG label head has constantly been poking fun at Drizzy for getting tons of cosmetic work done, championing the hashtags of BBLDrizzy and NoseJobPapi. He has also been calling him out for having ghostwriters, as well as the controversial relationship with 20-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown. All of the chirping got him to respond on “Push Ups,” which was officially released on April 19. Rick Ross responded to the original leak with “Champagne Moments,” and now he has a music video for said diss response.

This visuals are extremely simple, as the multi-millionaire rapper sits a stool and raps his disses. “Kill you n****s for free, do it all for the thrill / N****s leakin’ they records when we speakin’ directly / If we keepin’ it gangster, when you see me, you check me.” These are far from the most degrading jabs at Drake, but the coldness of these bars are the vibe that Rozay was going for in the video.

He succeeds well in that regard, with lots of direct and stone-cold stares into the camera. However, probably the most noteworthy moments of the music video are the times in which Ross cannot maintain the serious looks. There are times when he just starts laughing like a movie villain. He even blows a kiss after rapping the chorus too. It is clear that Ross is taking on the internet troll role to a whole new level.

What are your thoughts on the brand-new music video for “Champagne Moments” by Rick Ross? Does this make this the best Drake diss out of them all lately, why or why not? Is this one of his best sets of visuals ever? What was your favorite part of the video? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Rick Ross Comments On Theory That Drake Owns His Rivals’ Publishing

Everyone is wondering why it seems like half the rap industry’s biggest stars are going against Drake right now in what might be the biggest hip-hop beef of the decade. It even pitted Rick Ross against his very frequent collaborator, and that’s been the most open and developed beef up until this point. As such, it’s no surprise that Rozay is commenting on a lot of things concerning this feud, including one viral fan theory as to why these tensions may exist from a financial and business standpoint. Moreover, the theory claims that the Toronto superstar actually owns a percentage of many of his opponent’s publishing rights to their music, meaning that they’re always making him money.

Basically, Twitter user @realalmightee took a cue from The Joe Budden Podcast, who theorized that Drake might own a portion of Gamma Music Company, gets splits from the camp’s signees, and might even get splits from Universal Music Group (UMG) artists. Rick Ross’ MMG is under Gamma, whereas Kendrick Lamar, NAV, The Weeknd, and Metro Boomin, are under different labels that all fall under UMG. As for other players in this civil war, A$AP Rocky is signed under the Sony umbrella, and so is Future. There are other rappers and WE DON’T (and STILL don’t) TRUST YOU collaborators to consider like Playboi Carti and Travis Scott, but they haven’t really done enough to imply that they legitimately “picked a side.”

Rick Ross Reacts To Theory About Drake’s Financial Kick-Back From His Opponents

Furthermore, the theory claims that Gamma’s owner Larry Jackson has a very strong business relationship with Drake, and wanted him to spearhead the curation and development of their talent. Some other Gamma artists, like Sexyy Red and French Montana (until recently) are big Drizzy teammates. Also, the Twitter thread above includes many of his lyrics alluding to owning part of other artists’ publishing. As for Aubrey’s $400 million plus deal with UMG, this included publishing according to Variety, and may include other aspects of artists’ catalogs, including that of Kendrick Lamar. @realalmightee finished his thread by clarifying that this is all speculation.

However, The Biggest Boss called cap on this outright. “BIG cap. Minion’s opinions,” he quote-tweeted the thread in question, and it looks like they’ll get right back to their back and forth very soon. What do you think about all this? Let us know in the comments and check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Rick Ross and Drake.

Rick Ross Urges Lil Yachty To Take This Stance On Drake Amid OVO/MMG Beef

Out of all the beefs to pop up or resurface due to WE DON’T TRUST YOU and “Like That,” the Drake and Rick Ross battle is easily the most developed and eventful right now. Although it’s mostly just social media trolling, they’re making their animosity towards each other very clear, but one party is making a lot of claims about the other. Moreover, Rozay recently took to his Instagram Story to urge one of the Toronto superstar’s closest current collaborators to distance himself. “Yacht Put ya phone on silent lil bro.. [100 emoji],” he captioned a picture of Lil Yachty. “#BBLDRIZZY CALLING AGAIN [nose emoji] [hand emoji] [crying-laughing emoji].”

In addition, Rick Ross also had this to say for the Let’s Start Here. creative: “YACHT AKA THE PEN.” This is because of an alleged leak of Lil Yachty’s reference track for Drake, which is identical in terms of the melodic flow and lyrics to the Her Loss cut, “Jumbotron S**t Poppin.” Of course, equating this collaboration to other ghostwriting claims is quite misguided. After all, the Georgia native has both production and writing credits on this song.

Rick Ross’ Message To Drake’s “Pen,” Lil Yachty

However, what makes this situation a little more tricky is the fact that we’re talking about Drake, who fans hold in high regard as either raps’ biggest commercial juggernaut or even as one of the greatest of all time. As such, fans debated whether taking Lil Yachty’s entire reference track for himself discredits his claim to the throne, and some argued that giving credit doesn’t mean that it isn’t a bad look. Still, others stood by the idea that the 6ix God is putting on for himself and for Yachty with just one song. We’re sure that they both got some substantial cash for this song and the album’s performance, and perhaps more success than the 26-year-old would’ve found if he dropped this as a solo track.

But where do you fall on this debate: staunch credibility or lenient hit-making? What about the seemingly debunked ghostwriting claims that Aubrey’s biggest current rival Kendrick Lamar got hit with recently? Whatever the case, let us know down in the comments section below. Also, come back to HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Rick Ross, Lil Yachty, and Drake.

Rick Ross Trolls Drake At Club Concert Amid Beef, Responds To DMs With His Mom

“Lord Knows” what other bangers Drake and Rick Ross could’ve cooked up if it wasn’t for their current beef, but here we are. The latest development in this feud is a recent appearance that the latter gave at a club, at which he wore a hoodie of the former and played his music while cutting it off on occasion. Rozay was on the mic trash talking and living in the moment, following with his relentless trolling of the 6ix God online for his alleged nose job and his other rumored surgeries. Still, for some fans, this is all moot if it isn’t on wax.

Fortunately for Rick Ross, at least he has his lightning-fast response to Drake’s diss track to stand by, even if he’s just repeating many of his same talking points there online. Here’s what Drizzy had to say about the response and these cosmetic allegations to his mother, who texted him about people being nosy about his sniffer. “I would have got us a 2 for 1 deal if I went ma,” he wrote after many crying-laughing emojis, denying the speculaton. “It’s coming from Rick Ross the guy I did songs with. He’s gone loopy off the Mounjaro he hasn’t eaten in days and it’s turned him angry and racist. He’s performing at proms for money it’s bad don’t worry we’ll handle it.”

Then, Rick Ross responded to this specific message exchange via a video on his Instagram Story today (Sunday, April 14). Basically, he was making fun of how “Cupcake Drake” shared his messages with his mother and had to tell her about his feud. The Maybach Music Group mogul also kept calling him “white boy” and “big nose,” and continued his clowning of the OVO boss’ alleged liposuction. However, he also called Sandra Graham a “beautiful lady” who should know that her son “stayed out at the park too late,” so he didn’t extend the disrespect to the family.

Drake Denies Rick Ross’ Nose Job Claims, Sends This Scathing Shot At His Diss

Rick Rossresponse track to Drake’s diss was an Amazon same-day delivery, and the latter wasted very little time in coming through with a clap-back of his own. Moreover, it’s not in diss track form, but instead a screenshot posted on his Instagram Story on Sunday (April 14) of a text message exchange between him and his mother, who actually had a very wholesome message about rumors that Rozay started on the diss. “Aubs – the internet is saying you got a nose job??” she asked Drizzy. “You looked the same to me in the kitchen today.

“I can’t believe you would get one without me, cuz you know I always wanted one,” Sandi Graham went on about Rick Ross’ claims about her son Drake, accusations which also included a supposed cease and desist letter to French Montana. “Don’t tell me that you got tattoos without me and now this, too?” she concluded. Drizzy’s response began with a slew of crying-laughing emojis, and continued: “I would have got us a 2 for 1 deal if I went ma. It’s coming from Rick Ross the guy I did songs with. He’s gone loopy off the Mounjaro he hasn’t eaten in days and it’s turned him angry and racist. He’s performing at proms for money it’s bad don’t worry we’ll handle it.”

Drake’s Response To Rick Ross’ Nose Job Claims

“@richforever [Rick Ross] you’re one nosey goof,” Drake wrote under the screenshot on his Instagram Story. It looks like, between this and the words that he had for The Biggest Boss on his leaked diss track, the OVO/MMG partnership is buried. It’s quite sad considering their wealth of great material together, but there’s obviously a lot we don’t know. Still, maybe one day we’ll get a clearer picture of what happened.

Meanwhile, what do you think about these clapbacks from one “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” MC to another? Also, what about what other folks have allegedly responded to? Drake Allegedly Cease & Desisted French Montana Over “Splash Brothers” Verse

Rick Ross just ramped up rap’s civil war by dropping a response diss to Drake, on which he takes a lot of shots at his alleged surgeries, racial insecurity, label prospects, and more. However, one of the most notable lines sought to claim that the OVO mogul sent French Montana a cease and desist letter. “You sent the police, n***a, hatin’ on my dog project,” Rozay said on the cut after this accusation, and it’s important to note that this is still speculation since French hasn’t commented on it at press time. As such, fans began to theorize as to what this letter could’ve meant, and the common conclusion is that it was because of a song (or verse) that didn’t make his most recent album, Mac & Cheese 5.

Furthermore, some fans believe that this references a leaked track called “Big Pun” which apparently featured Drake. In fact, rumors floated that this song would appear on French Montana’s next project when a snippet surfaced in May of 2023 before a full leak in December of that year, and there was also speculation that Metro Boomin produced it. Of course, this is very interesting because of Metro’s current feud with Drizzy. But it probably wouldn’t have been of much note if it wasn’t for this recent context.

Drake’s Leaked Verse On French Montana’s “Splash Brothers”: Listen

On the other hand, the more widely believed theory about this alleged cease and desist letter is that it’s about the track “Splash Brothers” off of Mac & Cheese 5. While this track does appear on the album with features from Lil Wayne and, ironically enough, Rick Ross, it was supposedly meant to be on French Montana’s previous album and with a Drake feature instead of Tunechi. It would make more sense if this is why the Maybach Music Group honcho is invested in this track rather than caring about the unreleased song “Big Pun.” Also, he would likely have more first-hand knowledge of it.

Meanwhile, we wonder if this means the Moroccan-American artist will have to “pick a side” now or if he’d rather stay out of this. He and the 6ix God have some collaborations and good times to look back on, and it seemed like everything was good between them. We’ll see what else comes of this in the near future. Rick Ross Responds To Drake: Listen To His Diss Track

Rick Ross wasted zero time in crafting a response to the shots Drake sent his way in his leaked diss track addressing Kendrick Lamar, Future, and many more. Moreover, he apparently put it all together in a couple of hours and sent it to DJ Akademiks to premiere on his livestream. Apparently titled “Champagne Problems,” it samples Drizzy calling Rozay his favorite person to rap with, and has some regular spoken-word remarks in addition to the actual bars. He claims that the 6ix God got a nose job and that he sent a cease and desist to French Montana, which is why the Maybach Music Group mogul unfollowed him on social media. As for the bars themselves, here’s an example: “Flow is copy & paste, Weezy gave you the juice / Another white boy at the park that wanna hang with the crew.”

Furthermore, a lot of folks are reacting wildly to this online, and giving their takes about what they think of it. We’ve included embeds to portions of the track down below so you can make that judgement call for yourself. Despite Drake and Rick Ross having so many collabs and riding for each other at seemingly every turn, it looks like things soured quickly. There are some other attacks and subs here and there, but a lot of the diss is also coated in The Biggest Boss’ trademark luxury raps.

Rick Ross’ Drake Response Diss: Listen (In Part)

Elsewhere, nobody’s yet to clap back at Drake’s leaked diss at press time other than Rick Ross, but folks have been subliminally responding… at least, that’s what fans think. Overall, this is a narrative that will likely persist for not just months, but maybe years to come, as now everyone’s going to be looking for subs and beef no matter what. It’s almost like this is all fabricated to make everyone a little more money, but that’s a cynical and decidedly un-hip-hop take that we’d rather not entertain any further. Back to this response track, though, check out some of Ross’ social media activity right before this diss dropped down below, which also included footage of him in the studio.
