Nicki Minaj announced that “Barbie World ft. Ice Spice” would be released on June 23 on Instagram. “It’s BARBIE B!CH If you still in DOUBT🎀 #BarbieWorld JUNE 23rd 🎀 PRE-SAVE NOW ‼‼‼‼” Minaj said alongside a promotional image of her and Spice. It comes just a few days after Minaj announced that her next album will be released on October 10. Furthermore, Minaj shared a snippet from the end of the Barbie trailer, implying that the snippet of Aqua is part of her song. Whether that is as a sample or direct involvement from the band is unknown at this time.

It’s the second recent collaboration between Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice in recent months. The two stars last joined up for the remix of Spice’s “Princess Diana”. The remix hit #4 on the Billboard 100 (and #1 on the Billboard Rap charts). At the time of writing, it has spent seven weeks on the charts and currently sits at #48. Barbie releases on July 21. Nicki Minaj Confirms October Release Date For Next Album

Nicki Minaj’s last studio album, Queen, made its debut way back in 2018, boasting a 20-song tracklist and features from the likes of Eminem, Labrinth, Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, and more. Since then, the Trinidadian has been busy raising her little boy, known as Papa Bear, with husband Kenneth Petty. 2022 saw her make an impressive string of singles and collaborations, but ultimately failed to produce an album. Thankfully, Minaj confirmed via Twitter on Monday (June 5) that her fifth studio LP will arrive later this year.

“10/20/23,” she wrote in a post this afternoon, officially marking October 10th as the debut date of the untitled project. “The Album 💿🎀,” Minaj added after, making it clear she’s coming in full force this fall. It remains unclear who she plans to work with on the upcoming effort, though we’ve already heard her team up with stars like Ice Spice, NBA YoungBoy, and Kim Petras so far this year.

Nicki Minaj is Coming This Fall

Prior to 2018’s Queen, Minaj began to gain notoriety back in 2010 with Pink Friday. That tracklist boasted fan favourites such as “Moment 4 Life” with Drake and “Fly” featuring Rihanna. In the time after that, she gave fans the Roman Reloaded cut of the project, followed by The Pinkprint in 2014. The latter only brought more success the fashionista’s way, specifically thanks to collaborations like “Only” and “Feeling Myself.”

The only solo effort we’ve heard from Onika so far this year is “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” which earned her plenty of praise for expertly sampling a throwback favourite to spit her signature flow over. Elsewhere in the news, Nicki Minaj joined Sexyy Red on “Pound Town 2” at the end of last month. The remix boasts some of her most salacious bars to date, and after it dropped she penned a sweet message to the up-and-coming rhymer on Twitter. Lil Uzi Vert says that their upcoming project, The Pink Tape, will dropping at some point later this month. They teased the release window for the album during an appearance at The Roots Picnic over the weekend. Some fans on social media were quick to note that June 23 is National Pink Day in the United States.

For Uzi’s performance, they brought back the purple dreadlocks look they rocked when their career first took off. Fans on social media were stoked to see the style. “holy shit uzi is locked, they boutta drop a classic,” one user wrote on Twitter.

Uzi has been teasing The Pink Tape since at least 2021, although their updates have gotten more frequent in recent months. Back in March, Uzi revealed to TMZ that they were sober for the recording of the project. “It was challenging at first. But then after probably after a month, I got used to it,” Uzi said. “I thought that my creative process wasn’t going to be the same because I wasn’t on drugs no more. It was the same. Even better. Because I could think more clear and I could actually, like, instead of my words slurring, which is kinda of cool, everything made sense. I didn’t just make random music. How can I say? I didn’t play off the beat. I actually made song with topics this time.”

Lil Uzi Vert Teases “The Pink Tape”

Uzi’s longtime collaborator, Don Cannon, recently revealed that the rapper’s recorded over 600 songs for The Pink Tape. “Ain’t nothing changed so he one of them guys. And it’s different because we’re getting all kinds of songs out of him. Might get a rock song, a real rap song, because he really rap. Might get the melodic shit that he do. That’s a fun thing,” Cannon explained on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion podcast.

“Loki” Season 2 Gets Release Date Despite Jonathan Majors Uncertainty

Loki has been a smash-hit series of Disney as they expand the MCU further onto the small screen. The show follows the exploits of the eponymous Norse god (Tom Hiddleston) as he is forced to work with the shadowy Time Variance Agency to track down an alternate version of himself. Loki currently has a 91% aggregate score on Rotten Tomatoes.

A major character in the show is a mysterious figure known as He Who Remains. Dedicated Marvel fans know that He Who Remains is an alias, or alternative version, of comics supervillain Kang. Kang is about to become very prominent in the wider MCU throughout Phases 5 and 6 as the franchise builds towards 2026’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. However, Kang/He Who Remains is currently played by Jonathan Majors, the 33-year-old actor currently in the midst of a legal battle. Allegedly Majors struck and strangled his then-girlfriend in New York. While Majors has denied the charges, Disney is reportedly preparing to recast the character.

“Loki” Season 2 Set For October 6

Disney announced on May 16 that Season 2 of Loki would premiere on Disney+ on October 6. Furthermore, this means that Loki will premiere the same day as Sony’s R-rated superhero offering, Kraven the Hunter. However, it remains to be seen how Disney is preparing to handle the Jonathan Majors situation. Majors is set to prominently appear as He Who Remains in Season 2 of Loki. Furthermore, the ongoing writer’s strike would make reshoots near-impossible.

But if Disney does choose to recast Kang, what does that mean for Loki? Does that give a hint to the character’s fate in the show? For example, does the season end in a way that would allow them to seamlessly replace Majors if that is the decision they eventually make? These are important questions, given that He Who Remains will be so prominent in Loki‘s second season. However, October is also a long time away and it’s unknown where the Jonathan Majors case will be at that point in time. This is a developing story and any updates will be found here on HotNewHipHop.

Moneybagg Yo Reveals “Hard To Love” Release Date

One of Memphis’ most rapidly rising MCs is coming back with a new mixtape very soon. Moreover, Moneybagg Yo just announced via social media that his next project Hard To Love: Heartless Edition will release on Friday, May 26, 2023. Not only that, but he also teased via Instagram that another album is also in the works for this year. With this, the “Motion God” rhymer is capitalizing on a lot of teases and hints towards Hard To Love‘s release. In another Instagram post, he had talked about the inspiration behind this tape, part of his Heartless series.

“I gained and lost more than I ever thought I would and had no other safe outlet for all the emotions and dark thoughts that came wit that other than making music,” Moneybagg Yo wrote. “I’m blessed to have an art form to express myself inside & out with you all. Demario is the one that all the s**t happened to but nobody understood that I still gotta wake up and be Bagg every day to provide for my family and continue to carve my legacy but it’s not easy balancing the two.”

Moneybagg Yo’s Hard To Love Due May 26

Elsewhere, he also detailed the struggles he faced in the time after his last project, 2021’s A Gangsta’s Pain. In addition, Moneybagg Yo clarified that he recorded too much material for just one project, hence why he’s blessing us with two this year. While we still don’t know the official release date or title for his next album after Hard To Love, it will likely also release via CMG Records/Interscope. With his other extracurricular avenues in mind, the 31-year-old MC is looking to keep his upward trajectory intact.

However, it’s not like all of his endeavors resulted in popular acclaim, as impressive as they may be. For example, his recently opened restaurant, Cache 42, boasts a $135 40 oz. Tomahawk steak, which many took issue with. Still, you’ve got to know what you’re worth, and it’s really up to whoever’s enjoying the dish to decide. Regardless, let us know if you’re excited for Hard To Love in the comments down below. Also, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Moneybagg Yo.

NBA YoungBoy To Drop Mixtape On Same Day As Lil Durk

NBA YoungBoy is reportedly dropping a new mixtape on Friday, the same day that Lil Durk intends to release his new album, Almost Healed. The news was confirmed on social media, earlier this week. The two releases come after YoungBoy and Durk confirmed that they’re still feuding, despite DJ Akademiks claiming otherwise.

“That beef is squashed. You ain’t hear?” the Off the Record podcast host said during a stream last Thursday. “I’m serious. Durk and YoungBoy don’t have beef no more.” Both artists shot down the report on social media. Durk wrote on his IG Story: “I ain’t friends with no n****s [unamused face emoji] stop it.” YoungBoy posted his @BAEHELPTOP handle, “Ak you a bitch along with his industry friends I love this shit it turn out the same way every time.”

Akademiks later clarified his remarks in an Instagram comment. “Lol I ain’t say that,” he wrote. “I mean they ain’t actively dissing each other no more in music and tweets anything y’all see is more than likely directed at other ppl instead of each other.” The two have been opening beef since trading shots on the release of multiple diss tracks, last year. While things appeared to be simmering down for a while, the simultaneous release of new projects may reignite the feud.

As for what fans can expect from Durk’s Almost Healed, he told XXL that he’s focused on “Growth,” with the project. He spoke with the outlet for a cover story, earlier this year. At the time, he was titling the project, The Voice 2.0. “That’s what the 2.0 stand for, just be on another level,” he said. “Just not only music-wise, like the things around me like I told you, growing from the friends around me, management. Sitting with the mayor. We doin’ big charity things. Neighborhood Heroes, the foundation I got.”

Conway The Machine Says He Recorded “5 To 6 Albums” Of Music Ahead Of “Won’t He Do It”

Conway The Machine says that he recorded five to six albums worth of material while working on his new album, Won’t He Do It. Conway discussed the making of the record during an interview with Rolling Stone published on Friday. He began by admitting that a swath of artists biting Griselda’s style diminished his enthusiasm for hip-hop.

“Everybody trying to rap over the same type of beats we was rapping on. People was taking our cover art direction, our whole thing that made us us. It seemed it was getting watered down some,” he reflected. “I don’t even like them kind of beats no more. It was boring me. I fell back, but I got that feeling back again like the good old days at Daringer’s house.”

From there, he explained that he recorded “five to six albums worth of material” after going to Denver last summer. “I would lock myself in the studio down in Denver with my boy, Rocky,” he said. “Just out there having shrooms, and it was a good time. It’s just an unreal magical vibe down in Denver. [Denver] unlocked something inside of me, man. I feel alive.”

Won’t He Do It is Conway’s first album since last year’s God Don’t Make Mistakes, and his first post-Shady Records release. The project features Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Fabolous, Juicy J, and more. For the production, Conway worked with Daringer, Khrysis, Justice League, and Juicy J. Rolling Stone wasn’t the only outlet Conway spoke with ahead of the project’s release. He also sat down with Ebro In The Morning, last week. During that interview, he opened up about the 2012 shooting that paralyzed the right side of his face and left him with Bell’s Palsy. “I just wanna inspire people with my story,” he said during the discussion. Check out the title track for Conway’s new album below.

Lil Durk Confirms New Album Is Finally Complete

It looks like Lil Durk may have been cappin’ over the past few months when he teased the release of his next album. The rapper continued to keep fans on their toes for his follow-up to 7220 as he rolled out his new sneaker line. In the past few weeks, he’s ramped up anticipation. He hinted at collaborations with J. Cole, while suggesting that Drake could possibly feature on his next album. All in all, Durk’s apparently pulling out all of the stops for his next studio album.

Despite all of the hints and suggestions on the ‘Gram, the Chicago artist hasn’t necessarily delivered on his promises. He provided fans with a few updates over the past few months, including potential release dates, though nothing came of it. Most recently, he hinted that Kodak Black will be on his next album following the success of records like “Benihana” and “Take You Back.” He didn’t appear to have the tracklist finalized but it’s an indication that he’s well on the way to delivering new music soon.

Lil Durk Completes Album

It sounds like Durk might actually be popping out with new music in the near future. Although he might’ve had some struggles behind the scenes, he took to Instagram and provided a promising update for his fans. “This bi$ch done without half the help I been asking for,” he wrote. “Let’s goooooo sorry I ain’t been connecting to fans I’m almost healed.” From the sounds of it, Durk is aiming to have the summer on lock with his next album.

He shared a handful of snippets over the past few months that garnered significant attention. One of them, specifically, includes what sounds like a shot at Gunna. After the ATL rapper copped a deal in the YSL case, Durk released a snippet where he seemingly denounced Gunna. “What happened to Virgil? He probably gon’ tell,” Durk raps in the teaser. “I can tell you what I did for the streets / you got the paperwork, did it and reached / I got on Clubhouse and got in the beef.” While we won’t get a part 2 of “What Happened To Virgil,” Durk appears to have plenty of other star-power to rely on for his next outing.

NBA Youngboy Drops “Don’t Try This At Home” Release Date & Cover Art

It’s not even April and NBA Youngboy’s second offering of the year is on the way. Over the past few months, the rapper hinted at the release of his forthcoming project, Don’t Try This At Home. Following singles like “Next” and “Demon Party,” NBA Youngboy finally settled on a release date for his new album. This morning, he shared the official cover art for his upcoming project, which drops on April 21st. The cover art includes an image of Baton Rouge’s F.G. Clark Activity Center, where the Southern University’s Jaguars play, along with the album’s title printed on the roof.

NBA Youngboy already unloaded his first project of the year, I Rest My Case in January, marking his official debut on Motown Records. During an interview with Rap Radar, he explained that the title reflects his unadulterated thoughts that will spill across his next opus. “I’mma be talking crazy on there,” he said of the project. “I’mma show you Murda Man… but I’m lettin’ you know, though: Don’t try this at home.” In the midst of his feud with Lil Durk, YB sounds like he won’t be holding back on his upcoming effort.

NBA Youngboy Sets Release Date For New Album

At its core, Don’t Try This At Home appears to be a direct message to NBA Youngboy’s peers in rap. Though he hasn’t necessarily become a competitive lyricist, he unloaded his issues towards his peers on wax in the past, especially those who portray a lifestyle that they don’t actually live. “Entertainment and reality is very different. What I do think, some of the entertainers make their entertainment their reality also, if I said that right,” he continued to explain to Rap Radar.

The album’s release couldn’t come at a better time. The Baton Rouge rapper just received modifications to his house arrest conditions. Now, he’ll be allowed to have more than three visitors at his home at a time. Hopefully, this becomes a strong sign that he’ll soon be released. Following the release of Don’t Try This At Home – his seventh release within the past year – we hope to see NBA Youngboy back on the road and touring, once again. Check out the official cover art for his project above.

Metro Boomin Confirms 2023 Release Date For Future Collab Album

Few hip-hop producers today- or ever, for that matter- are able to reach the self-made artistic dominance of Young Metro. He may only have a few solo projects to his name, but he indelibly shaped so many projects from this era. From producing hot singles to helping behind the scenes to, most famously, his joint projects, Metro’s done it all. In fact, Metro Boomin recently said that his upcoming collab album with Future will release in 2023. Of course, they already teased this before, but to hear further confirmation is always exciting, especially from these two longtime collaborators that still recently put out some of their best work.

FLAUNT magazine recently debuted a cover story with the producer on Monday (March 6), shortly after his second No. 1 album HEROES & VILLAINS. During said interview, he spoke on performing with Future for his One Big Party tour stop in Atlanta. “Oh, that was fire,” he shared. “You know, Pluto, that’s my brother. We’ve been at it for a long time. This whole superhero moment, it’s like the beginning of our phase two. We haven’t had a song out since ‘Mask Off,’ they’ve been on our heads. With this, and then the whole State Farm thing, it’s starting to slowly put people on notice: we crankin’ that s**t back up too.”

Metro Boomin & Future’s Collab Album Set With 2023 Release Date

Later on, he said that their upcoming full-length team-up will most likely come out this year. “Definitely,” he expressed, “I would bet on it. I would definitely bet on it.” Previously, he called the project the “album of the year” in an Apple Music interview. “Let me tell you why,” the 29-year-old went on. “[Future] actually finished most of the album at my studio in L.A. That’s my brother, but we’re working on some things. At first, we were going to put a couple of songs with me and him on the album, but we had took them off because I had talked to him.”

Meanwhile, the star producer recently landed some other huge wins. For example, he sold a chunk of publishing rights to his catalog for $70 million on Tuesday (March 7). With his continuing to release new music, hopefully that means he’ll have more direct control of what he decides to put out, at least for now. Usually these deals have some odd implications for artists, but for Metro, it’s just him knowing what he’s worth and that the best is yet to come. Regardless, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Metro Boomin.
