Childish Gambino Ducks Friend Zone Rumors, But Fans Aren’t Letting Him Off The Hook

Childish Gambino is reveling in more success as of late for his Prime Video television series Mr. & Mrs. Smith. If that title sounds familiar, it is because it is. Gambino and female co-star Maya Erskine rebooted the classic comedy/action film of the same name that starred previous real-life fling, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Critics, especially on Rotten Tomatoes are enjoying Childish Gambino’s (Donald Glover’s) take on the early 2000s production. Whenever a new show or movie is out, media companies are always going to ask the main actors to do interviews and Q&A’s.

The leads sat down to ask each other some questions hosted by Buzzfeed, according to HipHopDX. One juicy inquiry that came up during Childish Gambino and Erskine’s chat was, “What is a rumor that you hate that is out that you wanna disprove right now?” The multi-talent answered vaguely, “There was a rumor I got friend-zoned by someone once. But I didn’t get friend-zoned by them. I got other zoned.” Gambino refused to reveal who the mystery woman was.

The Twitter user above hilariously worked in some old photos of Gambino and R&B star Jhene Aiko. Of course, the songstress is back with Big Sean now. But, in the early 2010s, the Childish and Jhene spoke about each other quite a bit. The rapper and actor was in awe of Aiko saying things like, “I think she’s special. She doesn’t need anyone… She’s off in her own world.” On the other hand, she was more blunt. “We’re good friends. That’s all I’m going to say… We’re still getting to know each other.” But, both are doing good without each other in life and music.

Slim Jxmmi Accuses Baby Mother Of Domestic Violence, Leads To Arrest

Slim Jxmmi recently ran into some relationship trouble this past January that hopefully has gotten better since, although that’s unconfirmed. Moreover, TMZ reports that law enforcement responded to a call at his Doral, Florida home on January 22 for a domestic disturbance, according to a police report of the incident. There, the Rae Sremmurd rapper told officials that the mother of his child, Kiara Danielson punched him in the face during a fiery disagreement. Apparently, it started as a spat over social media activity that had him beckoning her to leave the house. When Danielson refused, the Mississippi MC tossed her belongings out of the home, and that’s when she allegedly attacked him three times.

However, her side of the story, according to the police report, is that she tried to film Slim Jxmmi during this fight. When he reached for it, Kiara Danielson allegedly grazed his eye, and she accused him of grabbing her during the tussle. While the “Kilo” artist had a scratch on his face, his baby mama had no visible injuries. As such, police concluded that she instigated the altercation, and arrested her for domestic violence.

Apparently, this all went down just a day after they had another big fight at Kiara Danielson’s Miami apartment. For this, TMZ obtained footage of Slim Jxmmi packing his bags at her place and taking all his stuff, so something likely remained tense leading into the following day. Not only that, but this follows an incident from almost two years ago in which Danielson accused him of domestic violence, as well. Things seemingly patched up between them at least a little bit in the aftermath, and it’s sad to see patterns revert like this.

Meanwhile, there’s also the Sremm 4 Life‘s star’s ex Kee to consider, who also accused him of abuse. Over the past few years, these instances tell a pretty dark story when all put into context. But it seems like things might pick up for him after this altercation, something that everyone involved should learn from and grow past. However, she has renewed her love for him and even got a tattoo of his mugshot on her face. Moreover, she has been visiting him in jail, where he will likely remain until July.

Her devotion to Blueface has led to a whole lot of criticism online. Although in typical Chrisean Rock fashion, she does not seem to care. Overall, she has decided to ride with her man, and haters be damned. In fact, last night, she hopped on Instagram Live where she offered up an explanation for her love of the rapper. As she explains below, Blue is a changed man who isn’t just prison-talking her. She seems to believe things will be different this time around, and you can’t help but admire the optimism.

Needless to say, no one is convinced that Blueface is any different than he was a month ago.

Del Rey is from New York City, where Quavo surprised fans during fashion week last year. The former Migos rapper drew a massive crowd in the center of New York City as the former Migos rapper pulled up for an impromptu concert. The Atlanta rapper is in the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week but decided to make some headlines away from the runways. In a clip uploaded to social media, Quavo could be heard performing “Hotel Lobby” to the assembled crowd. Furthermore, the concert appears to come courtesy of SideTalk NYC, the viral “one-minute street interview” show.

Fans were overjoyed by the surprise concert. Additionally, many were surprised (and excited) to see that True Religion, Quavo’s fashion line, may be making a return. “If you stopped wearing Tru because rappers did you corny ,” one person said. “Damn… true religion back??? “The attention is there because the audience wants to see it,” Jason said. “I mean, if people didn’t want to see it, they wouldn’t be showing it. I know that. She’s a world star. She’s the quintessential artist right now in the world, singer-songwriter, immensely talented, unbelievable role model for young women across the globe. So I think that the NFL would probably be foolish not to, you know, show her and be a role model for all the young girls out there.”

It’s a fairly wholesome departure from the typical content that West has posted on his account. Fans have continued to express their concern and confusion over West and his continued posting of Bianca Censori. One recent post showed Censori in a skimpy, back-laced outfit and a gimp mask in the kitchen. West captioned the image “cream of wheat”. He went on to post several other images of Censori in the same outfit around a sparsely furnished apartment. Many of the photos have invoked the previously raised concerns that Censori is a “radicalized Kim Kardashian.

Meanwhile, West is once again expanding his business ventures. Last week, he filed a trademark for the phrase “I MISS YOU WHEN I WAKE UP BEFORE YOU”. The phrase was seemingly inspired by a post on Instagram that West made last week. It served as the caption for a photo of Censori smiling as she relaxed on a couch. It’s unclear what West intends to do with the trademark at this time.

It comes a week after West wished his wife a happy birthday. “Happy birthday to the most beautiful super bad iconic muse. Inspirational talented artist masters degree in architecture 140 IQ loving by my side everyday when half the world turned their backs on me. And the most amazing step mom to our children I love you so much thank you for sharing your life with me,” West wrote alongside a close-up photo of Censori’s face. However, most responses to the post were fans mocking West about the often-delayed Vultures album, which is now expected on January 19.

Neither of them have confirmed these reports, though Ashanti did put her hand over her stomach during a performance in December, seemingly indicating a growing bump. Nelly did the same before the couple broke out into laughter, leaving fans to speculate.

Since then, Ashanti has been stepping out in some stunning, yet uncharacteristically oversized fits. Recently, for example, she performed with Ja Rule in a loosely fitting t-shirt. Now, she’s been spotted once again at an event wearing a look that would conveniently obscure any signs that a little one is on the way.

The event in question was hosted in Miami yesterday (February 2), in honor of the 10th anniversary of E11EVEN. The lovebirds graced the stage, performing hits like “Body On Me,” and more. Ashanti rocked a bright pink oversized Balenciaga t-shirt, which she complimented with a pair of similarly vivid boots and some shades. At one point in the evening, Fat Joe even joined Ashanti for a performance of “What’s Luv?” He takes credit for the artists’ reunion, telling fans on Instagram Live last month that it wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for him.

“I immediately tell them I need 10 percent of this kid because if it wasn’t for Verzuz, that I brought Nelly out [during] me against Ja Rule, that’s when they saw each other and energy connected again,” he explained. “That’s when he said I gotta have her.
