Tyler The Creator Wants To Apologize For His Eminem Criticism About A Specific Album

Tyler The Creator isn’t afraid to speak his mind. He’s also not afraid to look back and own up to faults in his past conduct.

In a recent interview on Mavericks With Mav Carter, Tyler spoke about seeing the Netlfix series Painkillers and how it changed his perspective on Eminem’s album Recovery. Tyler said (find the video clip here):

“When [Recovery] came out, I f*cking hated it. Hated it, publicly was like, ‘This sh*t is wack,’ didn’t like it. And after watching [Painkillers], I felt so bad about those tweets and things like that, because thinking from his perspective, someone like me publicly saying that stuff and him getting off drugs and being clean and getting to a point in life where that’s behind him, and me implying, ‘Nah, this sh*t is wack.’ He probably felt like I was attacking him. I thought I was just like, ‘I don’t like the music.’ He was in a different part of his life and probably felt like I was attacking him. And now I feel so bad about saying that stuff because my perspective was so limited. And I love him; That dude taught me how to rap. I learned how to put words together in rhythm because of some of the Eminem stuff I was hearing.”

He added later, “If I ever see him, I want to tell him that.”

Tyler, The Creator Wants To Apologize To Eminem For His Initial Harsh Criticism Of “Recovery”

Tyler, The Creator and Eminem have a bit of a complicated relationship with one another. Growing up, the former was a huge fan of the latter. In fact, he cites him as one of his influences for getting into hip-hop. During this new interview with Maverick Carter via his show, Mavericks with Mav Carter on YouTube, Tyler talks about how the Detroit legend taught him the basics. “I love Eminem. That dude taught me how to rap. I learned how to put words together in rhythm because of some of the Eminem stuff I was hearing and storytelling and things like that”. While this adoration still remains true, as we learn later in this chat, the last several years would have you thinking otherwise.

One of Em’s biggest supporters has been uber critical over the last several years of his records, especially toward the end of the 2010s. The Death of Slim Shady MC also respected Tyler when he started getting to the industry, so when he heard these digs, Em felt bothered and hurt. It led him to eventually diss the multi-hyphenate on “Fall” which is on his Kamikaze record. Since that time, it seems these two have been pretty silent on each other up until today. After essentially just growing up and being more understanding, Tyler feels really awful and guilty for what he’s said. He specifically cites his initial harsh dismissal of Recovery, one of Em’s most personal records to date.

Tyler, The Creator & Eminem Have Not Always Been On The Best Terms

Tyler credits the Netlfix series Painkillers for helping him realize how unfair he was being to someone who was battling a lot to put out a project like that. “When [Recovery] came out I f——g hated it. Publicly was like, ‘This s*** is wack.’ Didn’t like it and after watching [Painkillers] I felt so bad about those tweets and things like that because thinking from his perspective someone like me publicly saying that stuff and him off drugs and being clean and getting to a point in life where that’s behind him and me implying, ‘Nah, this s–t is wack’”. Later, he adds, “He probably felt like I was attacking him. I thought I was just like, ‘I don’t like the music.’ He was in a different part of his life and probably felt like I was attacking him. Now I feel so bad about saying that stuff because my perspective was so limited”.

Towards the end of the discussion, Tyler hopes that him and Em can meet so he can personally apologize. “I felt terrible. If I ever see him, I want to tell him that in-person”. What are your thoughts on Tyler, The Creator wanting to apologize to Eminem for his destructive critique of Recovery? Did you know he was publicly against the Detroit legend’s project? Do you think this could help repair their up-and-down relationship? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Kodak Black Reflects On Past Drug Use & Recovery: Watch

Kodak Black’s successful career in hip-hop has been unfortunately marred by a host of legal issues, addiction struggles, and negativity. While some of these include actions that he should be accountable for, he’s also been pretty open about how his substance abuse has affected his life. Following a recent jail stint and a lot of concerned fan expressions, the Florida rapper recently took to Instagram Live to illustrate his journey of recovery. Specifically, he pointed to kicking his Percocet habit as a pivotal factor in being happier than he’s ever been right now, and this is a heartening step in the right direction.

“I remember a point in my life when I was chewing a lot of Percs,” Kodak Black began. “Bro, I’m proud of myself. I’ve never been this happy in my life, bro. I don’t know where this came from, what the f**k going on. I ain’t even going to say I’m anti-Perc. Like, I never took a Perc since I been home. But bro, my dosage so low that I can’t believe it myself. Man, I’m telling y’all, bro.

Kodak Black Speaks On Kicking His Percocet Habit

“Before I just went to jail, bro, I was taking… I can talk about this because it’s my testimony,” Kodak Black continued. “Bro, I’m hollering at y’all, ain’t no shame in my s**t. I was taking, bro, at least 100 Percs. Bro, my average was 40 Percocets. I’m telling y’all this man. I ain’t know -– to the point where I look at this s**t and be like, what the f**k was wrong with me, bruh? I listen to my music and be like, bro, what the f**k, fam?” Afterwards, he greeted some eager fans and prompted them to come forward to kick it with him for a while.

Furthermore, this still hasn’t resulted in the Pistolz & Pearlz artist refraining from some other wild or notably bizarre moments on social media. One recent instance was his threat to “cremate” anyone who messes with streamer Adin Ross. But the most important part is that there seems to be an active effort to improve mentally and physically from the tolls that drugs like Percocet can take, a process that will hopefully yield lifelong fulfillment. 2 Chainz Cleared From Hospital After Miami Car Crash

2 Chainz is fortunately okay following a three-car accident in Miami over the weekend for Art Basel, allegedly close sources to him told TMZ. Moreover, they relayed that he left the hospital hours after he initially went in on Saturday morning (December 9), following a check-up from doctors. The rapper didn’t sustain any significant injuries, was just a little rattled, and is reportedly happy to be out of the medical facility and back home to rest before the holidays kick into full swing. On his Instagram account, he shared a picture of the car that struck his vehicle from behind, a video of him walking to a private jet, and a thankful and heartfelt message for his supporters and loved ones.

“This the car that hit us from behind,” 2 Chainz wrote on the social media platform. “Praise God for the blessings , Things could have been worse , but it wasn’t. Don’t wanna pity party, but i do appreciate every single person that checked up on me. Sometimes someone in my position don’t feel like the love real or maybe it’s mind thing. But I truly felt the love and don’t worry bout me , I’m good , shake back king.”

2 Chainz Thanks Fans & Loved Ones For Support After Car Crash

Furthermore, authorities found that he was not responsible for this three-vehicle crash. After all, police suspect that the driver that hit 2 Chainz’s car from behind was under the influence at the time. It looks like this will soon be a thing of the past for him, which is great because it would’ve been very tough to handle an accident like this during a time that you’d much rather spend with family. As such, we hope that the “Oprah & Gayle” MC is able to recover fully and swiftly on what he has left of this journey, and that the holidays bring him much joy. Meanwhile, the artist formerly known as Tity Boi recently shouted out a fellow hip-hop star for helping out with his Lil Wayne collab album.

I actually wrote these things for 50 Cent to say,” he shared on the Rap Radar podcast recently. “50 is somebody that has a voice I think people can recognize. I knew that when it was time to put out an album, I was going to do something to maybe f**k people up to think maybe he was. I had this whole thing in my head about trailers and chaos and mayhem like, ‘What the hell they got going on?’ So I hit him. He did it for me. I mean, it didn’t take long. He killed it on the first take as far as knowing how to breathe, the spaces. Just little stuff that us as creatives just wanted.” For more news and the latest updates on 2 Chainz, keep checking in with HNHH.

Derek Chauvin In Stable State After Jail Stabbing: Report

Derek Chauvin, the former police officer who is incarcerated for the murder of George Floyd, was recently stabbed in federal prison in Arizona on Friday (November 24). This news shocked many, as he supposedly remained in protective custody, but it nonetheless opened up the floodgates of discussion. Moreover, following about a day of debate, the Minnesota Attorney General’s office provided an update on the situation on Saturday (November 25). It relayed that they are aware of the assault and that Chauvin is in stable condition. Still, very little details emerged alongside this story, and we don’t know as of writing this article what the nature of this incident consisted of.

Furthermore, A.G. Keith Ellison provided a statement to CNN about the stabbing. “I am sad to hear that Derek Chauvin was the target of violence,” he expressed. “He was duly convicted of his crimes and, like any incarcerated individual, he should be able to serve his sentence without fear of retaliation or violence.” The former cop recently lost his chance at another appeal in the George Floyd case to change his sentence, which is the only context that we have regarding this attack.

Derek Chauvin In Stable Condition: Report

Still, despite conspiracy theories flying around over this, there is still a lot of healing and processing to do when it comes to this case and the issues of Black U.S. citizens as a whole. Back in May, George Floyd’s sister LaTonya explained what her emotional state was regarding Derek Chauvin. “America might think I’m cr*zy for saying this, but I have to get this off my chest,” she said to FOX 26. “At this point, three years down the line, I do forgive Derek Chauvin for what he did. It’s not okay that he did it, okay? But I have to forgive him in order to move forth with my life. I’ve been running around in circles, he’ll tell you, I have been going through a whole lot. If that higher power don’t forgive us, we’re nothing, we’re lost, we’re out of there.

“I can’t keep living my life with this anger that’s going to form to hate, such as he had,” she went on. “It’s going to lead to me doing something like that because I’m mad, I’m angry. I can’t live with that in me. So I pray for him and I pray that he finds peace within himself. I pray that next time he kneel down, he’s kneeling down to help someone up and not hold them down. God has a plan for everybody. I pray for Derek and I do forgive you. If you are listening, may the peace of God be with you man.” This process doesn’t excuse his evil, but it provides a path forward for those looking to recover and heal from it. Drake Shows Support For Noah “40” Shebib As He Deals With Health Issues

Drake’s creative partner, 40, hasn’t been feeling great lately. During a recent concert, the Canadian rapper encouraged his fans to send the OVO producer tons of love. Drake dedicated a moment at the Kia Forum to Noah Shebib, who he said has been dealing with health issues recently. “My brother hasn’t been feeling well,” he began. “I want to send him some love from this whole building because I believe that energy is exchanged.”

Hopefully, 40 was able to feel the crowd’s energy. The Toronto-based producer, who plays an integral role in Drake’s success, has worked closely with the rapper on each of his projects. Additionally, he’s also had a hand in Drake’s live shows. Unfortunately, the issues surrounding 40’s health have been consistent for quite some time. “I don’t know if you know much about 40 but 40 has been sick for a long time in his life. So what I want you to do is let’s make some noise, show some love to our brother 40. Of course, we love him,” he added.

Drake Shows Love To 40

Noah “40” Shebib was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when he was 2. Over the years, he has been quite vocal about living with the auto-immune disease. In a documentary, 40 discussed his battle against MS. “When I was 21, I got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I learned a lesson in the hospital, which was that as long as I had at least one finger that still worked, no matter what the world took from me, I could play the keyboard and I could make music,” he said.

“All the things in my life just kind of pointed me in one direction. I’m here to play my part and to leave my impact, but from my perspective, I was a guest and I was really just looking to be accepted.” We’re keeping 40 in our thoughts and prayers at this time and hope that he feels better soon.
