December is coming to an end. December for folks in Miami or the art world means only one thing: Art Basel Miami Beach. Over the past decade, people of color and urban influence have increased during Art Basel. Hip-hop culture was a thread in the hundreds of art exhibits this year. The infamous, always apologizing Kanye West hosted a listening party, and Instagram flooded with pictures from Teyana Taylor’s birthday party. Not only was the art world in Miami but also the industry, namely artists, influencers, content creators, and more.

Red Rooster Overtown hosted the Mayor of Atlanta, Andre Dickens, along with his team, friends, and family at a brunch during Art Basel.  

The experience was “when food, vision artisans, and cultures. It’s a recipe for success,” says Chief Creative Officer Kembo Tom of top marketing firm KTC | a Creative Solutions Agency.

What came from the brunch was the need to bring more art and culture events similar to Art Basel to the City of Atlanta, which is one of the centers of Black music and film. As you know, the film industry has rapidly increased in Georgia since 2002, signifying the importance of art and culture. With the help of Andre Dickens and the support of local visual artists like the renowned Fahamu Pekoe and Leroy Campbell, the city can become a hub for art, attracting collectors from around the World for a week of exhibits and festivities. Fat Joe says he’s warned his children against pursuing a career in hip-hop. He explained why he wants them to look elsewhere for their futures during an appearance at the United Masters x Earn Your Leisure panel at Art Basel in Miami, last week.

“I tell my daughter all the time, she ain’t with it and she ain’t listening to me, but I tell her all the time,” Joe revealed. “She be like, ‘what you want me to be, Dad?’ and I be like, ‘An accountant.’ And she’s like, ‘Why?’ I say, ‘I don’t want us to get robbed no more. I don’t want you to get robbed.’ Because if I die, I’m leaving her some sh*t.”

Fat Joe Gives Out Food On Thanksgiving

Later, Joe brought up his son, who has already voiced a desire to focus on his rap career. “You know my son, he’s trying to be a rapper. He’s aight,” Joe joked. “I said, ‘Listen, if [any of your uncles] tells you that you’re going to be a big rapper when I die and takes your money to make an album, they’re full of shit. While he doesn’t want his son to pursue a career in rap, Joe has been awfully supportive of his children over the years. Today I wear Autism blue in honor of our kids and all the families around the world dealing with special needs family members. As for Censori, she has been paraded around in a see-through outfit for most of the trip. We reported on this yesterday as Ye’s wife was seen out and about, leaving very little to the imagination. Well, in a new video obtained by TMZ, Censori could be seen in her raunchy outfit, getting a lap dance from a friend. This all took place while seemingly trying to get a meal. As you can see below, Kanye West could even be seen in the frame, and he did not mind it one bit.

Ultimately, her and Ye are still going strong, and she now gets to be part of his rollout for the first time. Based on the little we’ve heard of the album so far, it seems like West is building a lot of intrigue.

2 Chainz Cleared From Hospital After Miami Car Crash

2 Chainz is fortunately okay following a three-car accident in Miami over the weekend for Art Basel, allegedly close sources to him told TMZ. Moreover, they relayed that he left the hospital hours after he initially went in on Saturday morning (December 9), following a check-up from doctors. The rapper didn’t sustain any significant injuries, was just a little rattled, and is reportedly happy to be out of the medical facility and back home to rest before the holidays kick into full swing. On his Instagram account, he shared a picture of the car that struck his vehicle from behind, a video of him walking to a private jet, and a thankful and heartfelt message for his supporters and loved ones.

“This the car that hit us from behind,” 2 Chainz wrote on the social media platform. “Praise God for the blessings , Things could have been worse , but it wasn’t. Don’t wanna pity party, but i do appreciate every single person that checked up on me. Sometimes someone in my position don’t feel like the love real or maybe it’s mind thing. But I truly felt the love and don’t worry bout me , I’m good , shake back king.”

Furthermore, authorities found that he was not responsible for this three-vehicle crash. After all, police suspect that the driver that hit 2 Chainz’s car from behind was under the influence at the time. D’USSE Cognac and Offset brought the heat to Art Basel with an exclusive beachside party at the Eden Roc Hotel. The star-studded affair drew in an elite crowd, including Chance The Rapper, Leon Bridges, Rich The Kid, Ja Rule, Lakeyah, and Terrence J.

Offset took the stage for a captivating performance introduced by host Terrence J. The energy peaked as the crowd sang along to Offset’s latest track “Worth It” from his recently released album, Set it Off. Notably, the GRAMMY Award-winning Leon Bridges showcased his signature 70s-inspired style, while model Chanel Iman rocked a chic black feathered skirt and a white button-up by Scablan Theodore.

Kanye West’s style choices continue to cause an uproar, even if in this case, it’s just because of how uncomfortable it looks. Moreover, he was recently spotted in Miami, specifically the night club E11EVEN, early Sunday morning (December 10) at around 2:30AM to participate in the closing Art Basel Miami Beach celebrations. When the Yeezy mogul arrived with his crew, he pulled up with socks– no shoes– to the function, and seemed to blend in with everyone else. Given that he wore a white scarf around his head and went by pretty unnoticed at a back VIP table, it’s clear that, just like for most of the year, he didn’t really want to be seen. The Chicago rapper and his companions were there for less than an hour.

Furthermore, there actually might be an interesting reason for this short stay, according to an alleged Page Six insider. They posited that Bianca Censori only let Kanye West go out for a certain amount of time, which is a curious claim about their dynamic. If you didn’t know, the two faced breakup rumors last month, but it seems they sidestepped all of that. Their relationship has been a rollercoaster to witness, but hopefully things are more stable than they seem just based off scandalous headlines.

However, we can’t forget about another important reason as to why Kanye West is in Miami. Apparently, he and Ty Dolla $ign are throwing a listening party in the city for their new album on Tuesday (December 12) at midnight. Of course, we say “apparently” because various other attempts to perform or play this project fell through. It seems closer than ever, but considering all of Ye’s public controversies and concerning attitudes, it’s still anyone’s guess.

Meanwhile, he also teased some new music recently, so perhaps the collaborative LP is really around the corner. But this is far from the first time that we’ve heard this from the 46-year-old. The gallery offers artwork that provides an in-depth look into the stories of hip-hop’s finest. Pop up versions of MuseZeuM have been in major cities like Miami, Washington D.C., and New York City. Lizzo Films Herself Creating A For-Sale Painting Using Her Booty As A Paint Brush

International art fair Art Basel is once again taking place in person in Miami this year. Along with exhibitions from artists across the globe, this year’s event will also feature a special musical performance by none other than Lizzo. To promote her upcoming set this weekend, Lizzo got creative. Taking inspiration from the experimental nature of the works seen at Art Basel, Lizzo made a painting of a butterfly using her booty as a paint brush.

The singer shared a video showing the painting’s process on TikTok. “Hey y’all, it’s your girl Lizzy Picasso here,” she announced, adopting the new moniker to create her masterpiece. The video shows Lizzo creating her colorful painting on an easel before an assistant lathers her backside in royal blue paint.

“I think I need to make more ass art,” she wrote in the caption alongside her video.
