Wale Speaks On How His Life Has Been Going On “Max Julien”

“My silence has been golden….see you on Friday. Folarin back.” That was the vague but telling message from Wale to his Instagram followers on Wednesday. Well, it is now Friday, and the Washington D.C. rapper delivered on his promise by dropping a brand-new single. “Max Julien” is his first solo effort since his 2022 record, More About Nothing. What is also exciting for Wale is that we recently found out that he decided to join a different record label.

According to multiple reports and sources, including TMZ Hip-Hop, he inked a deal with Def Jam Records. Furthermore, he also apparently signed the contract a few months prior and wanted to keep it hidden for a bit. It was a great bombshell to drop last night because it built more anticipation for this single. “Max Julien” is a life update track that reveals how the rapper has been feeling lately.

Quotable Lyrics:

You see I’m that cozy
Everybody sayin’, “Twin”, can’t nobody clone me
And everybody fake friends, everybody lonely
And everybody ain’t him, I’m the one and only
They ain’t got the flows for me

Tupac Was Extremely Close To Signing With Bad Boy Records According To His Brother

Tupac’s mystique will never die and this recent news drop is another reason why. More and more information about the murder of the legendary artist continues to come out. We finally have more headway on who committed the crime and we are sure more will be unearthed. This latest bit of information circles back to Tupac’s musical career. As most people know, he was a part of Death Row Records. It is the label that associates itself with names like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight, Nate Dogg, and so many other legends. However, Tupac had a chance to join another iconic music group.

According to HipHopDX, the brother of the late rapper, Mopreme Shakur recently spoke with The Art of Dialogue. In the interview, Mopreme revealed some interesting news. When ‘Pac was released from jail in 1995, he was seriously considering joining Bad Boy Records. Mopreme said, “There was a point ‘Pac was considering going to Bad Boy before his relationship with Death Row. He wanted to be on a Black label… He wanted to be with the brothers.”

Mopreme Shakur Explains What Went Down With Tupac

However, it never worked out that way, obviously. What ultimately led to Tupac inking the contract with Death Row, was some battle of powers. Namely, Diddy had more say and control, according to Mopreme. “Over time, things happened, and ‘Pac started seeing things. Biggie was on Puffy’s label so with them two, it was Puffy calling the shots. There was some legitimate problems there.” It would have been incredible to see both of the biggest rappers in the world be on the same label. Who knows what material we could have gotten.

What are your initial thoughts on Mopreme Shakur saying that Tupac was really close to signing with Bad Boy Records? Do you think that he should have inked the deal? Would this have changed the landscape for hip-hop labels going forward? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Famous Dex Signs $5.6 Million Label Deal

Famous Dex just hopped on Instagram to announce that he signed a $5.6 million deal with 300 Entertainment. Moreover, the record label and entertainment company is or was home to the likes of $NOT, Young Thug, Mary J. Blige, Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, and many more listed on their website. Furthermore, this news from Dexter comes after his newest single “Where’s Dexter” with Rich The Kid and Jay Critch in January of this year. Given that Rich Forever reunion, it seems like the Chicago rapper is amping up for a comeback season.

Another way in which he demonstrated a career change is his rehab stint following his release from jail. Unfortunately, this is the latest development in his turbulent path to fame, which fell victim to a lot of missteps along the way. Between various arrests and well-publicized and apparent substance issues, it’s been a rocky road for the 29-year-old. As such, many expressed doubt that he would be able to bounce back. However, that move into rehab happened in September of 2021 according to reports. With the fact he’s been lying relatively low since then, many are hopeful that he gets back on the right track, and expressed happiness that this move might achieve that further.

Famous Dex Lands New Label Deal With 300 Entertainment

“5.6m,” he captioned his Instagram post with a money bag emoji. “New deal today God is amazing #wavebros #300ent #richforevermusic.” However, someone in the comments pointed out that he was with 300 before, with Dex himself even replying with “I’m saying” and some crying-laughing emojis. As such, maybe this is more like a deal renegotiation instead of a new deal altogether. Regardless, it’s still likely a positive move for the artist if handled well, as others in the comments pointed out that the label might do him dirty.

Meanwhile, it’s also great to see him reconnect with Rich The Kid after they had brief spat around July of 2018. Sure, they’ve been back on good terms for a while, but it’s another thing to see those relationships last in a volatile industry. Considering these tales, hopefully these are all factors that Dexter turns into positive outcomes for his career and life moving forward. Azealia Banks Cuts Ties With Parlophone Record Label, Says They’re “Silly Fragile White Liars”

In the past, Azealia Banks has thrown shade at no shortage of fellow celebrities. In particular, she’s been publicly hating on figures like Kanye West, Eminem, and Beyoncé for the internet’s entertainment. Her latest rant, though, finds the “Luxury” artist dissing her own record label.

As Dazed reports, the New Yorker confirmed her deal with Parlophone in November 2022. At the time she took to her Instagram Story to share the good news, writing, “Bitches I just got signed to Warner/Parlophone UK! I’m coming home. I did it. I wasn’t going to let you down.”

The label later verified the news on its own Twitter account. However, it seems the relationship between them and Banks has taken a turn for the worst in the nearly three months since. Earlier this week, she ranted about her experiences in a series of Stories written over a black screen.

“This staff is full of really silly fragile white liars,” she began before dubbing the roster to be “full of corny losers.” Among her fellow signees are acts like Coldplay, David Guetta, and Sam Ryder of Eurovision Song Contest fame. “Like how many idiots does it take to screw in a fucking lightbulb?” the controversial star’s post went on.

It seems Banks is feeling frustration over delays in her music dropping. Her previously teased “New Bottega” single will be available on streaming this week, she says. “That shit was stressing me TF OUT,” the 31-year-old added of working Parlophone.

Of course, she didn’t stop there. “I don’t get dropped, I drop the label,” another Story reads, referencing lyrics from Jay-Z’s “On to the Next One.” Afterward, she wrote “LMAO PUSSIES” for good measure.

At this time, Parlophone hasn’t responded to Banks’ comments.

Banks is famously known for her Instagram antics, and late last year, some fans were concerned that the platform gave her the boot after she publicly dissed Nicki Minaj.
