DJ Akademiks Claims Drake & Future Haven’t Actually Squashed Their Beef

During a recent episode of The Bigger Picture, Elliott Wilson claimed that Drake and Future have managed to squash their beef. According to him, this was partially thanks to a Tweet from Young Thug’s account that went viral last month. “.@Drake @1future @MetroBoomin we all bruddas. Music aint the same without us collabin,” it read. Shortly after it was posted, Future retweeted it, indicating that he might be on board to reconcile.

“I have it on good authority that Drake and Future have at least gotten on the phone and resolved their differences,” Wilson said. “I think that helped the energy when Future reposted [Young Thug’s Tweet].” He went on to claim that Drake still has issues with Metro Boomin, and that Future and Drake’s reconciliation shouldn’t come as a huge surprise.

According to DJ Akademiks, however, this might not actually be the case. During a recent stream, he revealed that his sources say Drake and Future haven’t gotten on the phone at all. “I have spoken to extremely credible sources on both sides,” he explained. “And Drake and Future have not been on the phone. So not too sure who gave Elliott Wilson the authority to say this, but from what I hear that is not true, that is 100% cap.”

“Just letting you know that while this sounded great, and that all the media outlets have reprinted it, there’s a reason Drake hasn’t commented and Future hasn’t commented. Cuz it ain’t true, okay? Doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future. That doesn’t mean I don’t personally want it to happen, and I think every fan does want it to happen. Rick Ross Discusses Possible Drake Reconciliation

Yung Miami recently hosted Rick Ross on her Caresha Please podcast, getting into a slew of topics around their lives and careers. Unsurprisingly, a big part of this discussion concerned his ongoing beef with former close collaborator Drake, which formed part of 2024’s Kendrick Lamar battle. At one point in the conversation, the Maybach Music Group mogul reflected on why their relationship soured, how he would characterize this development, and whether or not he sees them burying the hatchet one day. Considering how much great material they have together over more than a decade, we knew this question would come up eventually.

“Nah, I’m not going to say it’s business,” Rick Ross answered when Yung Miami asked if the Drake beef was personal or money-oriented. “He mentioned my name and that’s a no-no. Don’t do that. Especially when it ain’t about no real s**t. […] I enjoy that I can wake up every day and say BBL Drizzy or some more s**t while I’m smoking a joint, listening to the waterfalls and all that s**t, looking at the birds fly off. That s**t easy for me, but is everybody built for this? It most definitely could be a real thing.”

Then, Yung Miami asked if Rick Ross would ever be down to have a phone call with Drake to settle their differences. After all, she brought up that Rozay mediated the Toronto superstar’s feud with Meek Mill. “I don’t know, it depend on how I feel,” he answered before doubling down on his plastic surgery claims against The Boy. “Me being boss, everybody don’t understand the opportunities they have,” Ross said of how he feels about their falling out. “Some n***as take s**t for granted. I don’t know what it is. Everybody that’s been loyal to me or been down with me, you know that’s something that I extend for the longevity of time.

“I just think when you not really from the streets, and really understand the way certain things work sometimes, you could take s**t for granted,” Rick Ross went on. “Then two months later s**t be looking crazy for you when you really could have just… This s**t just really be a phone call. A lot of this s**t be a misunderstanding. But when you jump out there, I don’t know homie.” They also talked about his fight with Drake fans in Vancouver, with him explaining why he lost and how things could’ve turned out worse for OVO die-hards if he had proper backup.

Bad Bunny & Kendall Jenner Spark Reconciliation Rumors With Miami Date Night

Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner went out for dinner together at Gekko Japanese Steakhouse in Miami on Friday night after the singer performed at the Kaseya Center. TMZ reports that the two entered the restaurant together and dined in a VIP room for an hour and 20 minutes before leaving after midnight. Despite the night out, they didn’t display any egregious acts of public affection. The dinner date has sparked rumors of a reconciliation between the former couple that broke up back in December of last year.

The latest date comes after Bunny and Jenner were spotted getting intimate while hanging out at an after-party for the Met Gala, earlier this month. TMZ also reports that they seem to have stayed at the same hotel during that trip to New York City.

Fans had mixed responses to the Miami date night on Instagram. In the comments section of TMZ’s post, one user wrote: “Sorry but never thought these two were ever really together. They looked liked they chilled a lot and enjoyed each others company and maybe hooked up at least once but nothing serious. Good for them. And dinner is dinner. So what.” Another wrote: “People who are just bored. They go do their rounds and then circle back.”

Aside from the two children he shares with the songstress, Cannon has 10 little ones to look after with six women, including Mariah. Despite having love for all of the women he’s fathered kids with, he seems to have always had a special place in his heart for the “Obsessed” performer, even going so far as to consider a reunion.

During a recent interview, Cannon revealed whether or not he’d be willing to give his relationship with Mariah another shot. According to him, it’s not completely off the table. “I mean, you gotta ask her! Let me know what she say!” he joked. “Ask her, text me, we can talk through you. It’s Valentines is in the air, you can be the chocolate Cupid. Let’s do it, I’m with it.”

Cannon isn’t the only person to come a long way since their relationship, however. Mariah went on to date one of her former backup dancers, Bryan Tanaka, for seven years. The pair just announced their split in December of last year, stating that the decision was mutual and citing the “invaluable time” they spent together. While Mariah is newly single, Cannon has previously claimed that he’d prefer to leave the past in the past. According to him, he’s concerned that if revisiting an old relationship went wrong, it would “ruin” his memories of it for good.

Jada had claimed that, despite her candid admissions about her marriage to Will in the book, Worthy, they’d be staying together while promoting the release. “The truth of the matter is I’m not leaving Will’s side and he’s not going to leave mine. They also reunited in December for Ye’s Vultures listening party in Vegas, hugging it out in a clip that made its rounds online. Kid Cudi reflected on their fallout and eventual reunion during his recent conversation with Apple Music‘s Zane Lowe, revealing that he sees Kanye as family.

The conversation began with Benny being asked about taking a photo with Gibbs’ ex-girlfriend, Destini. “I’ll tell you why. I almost cracked up laughing but I gave her chain back. That’s the homegirl. I’m really a nice guy. I gave her her chain back,” he began. “Then she came to my birthday party. That’s it. She was caught in the middle of some sh*t she had nothing to do with. She probably thought I was the devil, but she get to see that I’m a really nice guy and that’s it. Nothing more. Nothing less.”

Cardi B liked a post on social media denying she and her estranged husband, Offset, have reconciled. The move comes after Thee Pop Feed reported that the two were back together after attending a Travis Scott concert. “Cardi B has officially took Offset back after 12 days,” the report on social media reads. “They were both spotted at Travis Scott’s concert tonight in New Jersey.”

In response, blogger Ken Barbie posted a clip of Kandi Burress exclaiming “You just made that up!” from Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. Cardi B liked the reply, seemingly confirming the lack of a reconciliation.

Tink & Hitmaka’s NSFW Text Messages Suggest They’ve Made Up

Recently, Hitmaka took to social media to promote some upcoming music from his ex, Tink. The duo had a pretty brutal falling out earlier this year, which resulted in the two of them putting each other on blast online. Nowadays, however, it appears that they’re back on good terms. Hitmaka posted a screenshot of an alleged text message conversation between them, in which Tink apologizes. “I’m sorry,” she writes, prompting him to tell her “I know.”

“I wish I handled you better,” she continues. “I apologize for reacting the way I did. As a close friend I’m not proud of how we left it.” Tink then sends him a new track, letting him know that it’s dropping soon. “This is coming out tomorrow,” she says, “it’s not a single but I’m venting.” Things take a turn from there, with Hitmaka responding, “It’s cool u licked my a** too.” Tink replies, “Lol .. they know,” alongside an umbrella emoji.

While it at least seems as though the two of them are moving past their previous issues, Hitmaka opened up about how their public beef made him feel at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards last month. According to him, he found the debacle “embarrassing,” though he says he’s “evolved” since then. “It wasn’t really no issue with me or whatever, you know?” he told The Neighborhood Talk.

“Things happened, things transpired, she went to the Internet, said what she said,” he continued. “You know, I mean, it wasn’t nothing on my end, you know? DaBaby Recalls Taking A Gun Charge For His Friend

During a recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, DaBaby opened up about taking a gun charge for his friend. According to him, he was in a car with the friend in question when they got pulled over, and authorities found a firearm in the vehicle. He claims that police assumed the weapon belonged to him, but it was actually his friend’s. Instead of telling police the truth, however, the friend let DaBaby take the charge.

For obvious reasons, this sparked a great deal of tension in their relationship. DaBaby claims that for a while, he couldn’t even “stomach” being in the same room as his friend. He eventually forgave him for the debacle for his own sake, as the friend was more like family to him. “It was so left field,” he recalled, calling it “a lesson [he] needed to learn.”

He says that while he’s since forgiven the friend, he now “moves differently.” Nowadays, the rapper claims to avoid situations where he’s in cars with people he doesn’t trust. This wasn’t the only incident that changed his perspective, however. Elsewhere in the episode, DaBaby spoke on his infamous homophobic rant at Rolling Loud 2021.

He explained that the fallout from the incident taught him more about himself, and resulted in him finding a better headspace. “I don’t regret anything that I done been through,” he described. “It feels so good to be able say that and mean it.
