What Happened To Flo Rida?

A day never goes by without asking what happened to a mainstream artist, more specifically the “Good Feeling” rapper Flo Rida. Who dominated entertainment news for the past few years with the Celsius lawsuit battle. And while caught in the abyss of the high-stakes media mess, we seem to have missed Flo Rida’s presence in the music scene for the longest time. The usual vibrant energy he put out in his music is all but a nostalgic memory.

Back in the 2000s, there wasn’t a year that ended without a party-anthem hit song by the singer-rapper. His absence in entertainment is felt. One would say Flo Rida’s single and feature run is unparalleled to none, from enlisting T-Pain for Low in 07′, the pop song Right Around featuring Kesha, and the dance/electronic hit Whistle in 2011. So, what really happened to Flo Rida? Did he move on to greener pastures? Walk with me into this time capsule dating back to the late 2010s.

Flo Rida Shifts To Entrepreneurship

Drawing back to the Celsius Holdings Inc endorsement deal he was a key player in around 2014 and 2018, Flo Rida transitioned from a rapper to mogul. After an alignment of 5 solid albums under his belt, and a few EPs here and there, the vision was revamped and his brand matured. Flo Rida’s record label and management business, IMG/Strong Arm flourished over the years and later extended a television and film production department in 2021, named Strongarm Films. The production element of the company’s division caters to his community in Miami. By showcasing the city, black Hip-Hop culture in a cutting-edge style through high-developed production.

“I’ve enjoyed such great success in my career and now I want to take it to the next level and support the next generation of entertainers, whether that be in music, acting, or production,” Flo Rida told Broadwayworld in a 2021 interview, “With my non-profit, Big Dreams for Kids, I’ve long been involved in supporting my community and Strongarm Films is another step in continuing to support and elevate up-and-coming talent.”The films division, Strongarm Films, a continued joint partnership with his manager Lee “Freezy” Prince was created to shape the Miami neighborhood with boundless employment opportunities in the music, television, and film industry. And ever since, young minds and talent representing Miami have thoroughly benefited from such an initiative. And, with Flo Rida’s extensive music and entrepreneurial experience, how could they not?

Newer Pastures in 2023

Preceding the rapper’s hefty multimillion-dollar Celsius court settlement, Flo Rida kicks off the year with plans to create an energy drink, JettSet1, like never done before. The beverage comprises natural components with subtle carbonation and will officially launch in early 2024. The rapper plans to align JettSet1 Enterprises to a success story like the Celsius drink. With the healthy “get the best out of their immune system” unique components, he might be right on the money with this one. Overall, his ultimate goal is to be better than his competition and to produce a drink that reflects his healthy lifestyle reputation.

Also, the Grammy-nominated artist is said to headline the upcoming SUNY Canton Spring Concert for the SUNY Canton College Activities Board. The Board actively recruits artists of various backgrounds to be a part of their annual events, Flo Rida’s attendance is their biggest high-profile headliner ever. The proceeds will impact SUNY Canton’s programs in healthcare, tech, and management. Furthermore, Flo Rida continues his humanitarian streak with another live performance scheduled for The AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s 18th Annual AIDS Walk & Music Festival this coming weekend on Saturday, March 18th, 2023. The goal of the event is to raise a staggering $2 million that will benefit 12 Non-Profit organizations such to mention: Aqua, Latinos Salud, SunServe, Afro Pride Federation, SAVE.LGBT, Broward House, Equality Florida, World AIDS Museum and Educational Center, The Pride Center at Equality Park, Pridelines, Safe Schools South Florida, and Transinclusive.

Flo Rida Destined For Greater

Flo Rida’s potential to tap into other industries is all within his reach. His consistent work ethic since starting out combined with a savvy mindset will take him all the way to the top. Lessons learned from the Celsius endorsement deal will hopefully play in his favor. The Yes and Hovs of this world better be on the lookout. There’s a new king creeping up in the vicinity. Though, an official comeback to the mainstream wouldn’t hurt either.

South African Rapper Costa Titch Deceased After Collapsing On Music Festival Stage

The rap world mourns the loss of South African rapper Costa Titch, who tragically passed away after collapsing on stage at the Ulta music festival in Johannesburg on Saturday (March 11). Titch, real name Constantinos Tsobanoglou, passed at the age of 28. Moreover, his record label, friends, and family issued a statement regarding his loss. Even with all the hype around music festivals, especially after COVID, audiences must know that safety is still the top priority. Considering the tragedies that have occurred at live settings, this news is heartbreaking for fans and loved ones.

“Death has tragically knocked at our door,” the statement read. “Robbing us of our beloved son, brother and grandson, Constantinos Tsobanoglou (28), who South Africa had come to love and idolize under his stage name ‘Costa Titch’. It is with deep pain that we find ourselves having to acknowledge his passing at this time. We are thankful for the emergency responders and all those present in his last hours on this earth. As a family we are faced with a difficult time as we try to make sense of what has befallen us and ask that we be afforded the time and space to gather ourselves.

Costa Titch Dead After Collapsing On Stage During Music Festival

“The Tsobanoglou family thanks you for the love and support you have given to our son and may you continue to uplift him even in spirit,” the statement continued. “Please keep us in your prayers and uplifted in the Lord.” On social media, many lamented that Western media only covers international artists when they pass, not for their present work. Tragically, however, this is yet another instance of a sudden death in the South African music community.

Rapper AKA was fatally shot outside of a restaurant, just weeks before he was set to drop a new album. Moreover, said incident occurred in February and shook not only his fans and family but the larger musical scene there. As rap fans, the community hopes that the South African rap world heals and strides in a more positive and uplifting direction after such loss. If you listened to Constantinos Tsobanoglou, also known as Costa Titch, let us know your favorite song, album, or moment from him in the comments down below.
Rest In Peace Costa Titch.

What Happened To Chrisean Rock’s Tooth?

2020. While it was only a mere three years ago, seems like a lifetime. It was a wild point of existence for all who lived it. We all were forced to stay inside, and there were many that attempted to capitalize off of the isolation. Rapper BlueFace was a prime example of said capitalization. He, like many others, began an OnlyFans channel. Blue hosted a reality dating competition on his channel. Taking a spin off of the infamous “Bad Girls Club” his show was called, “Blue Girls Club”. Which is currently on its 5th season. The premise of the show? Women from across the country move into a mansion together for a month and compete for the rapper’s affection. Then comes in his girlfriend, Chrisean Rock.

How Chrisean Rock Lost The Tooth

Chrisean Rock, Blueface’s now on-again off-again girlfriend, appeared on the first season of the show along with 6 other women. During her time on the show Rock got into a multitude of fights with fellow castmates. Yet the one which could be considered the most notorious was the one that caused the most damage. Chrisean attempted to explain how the situation occurred on an Instagram Live video hosted on Blueface’s account. A summary of the story basically states that Blueface’s ex-girlfriend/mother of his children, Jaidyn Alexis,  showed up at the mansionwith “16” other women. The two women got into an altercation that was provoked by Alexis. At a certain point during said altercation, Chrisean who was in socks, slipped and fell into a small statue.

Upon falling she hit her face causing her tooth to fall out. After the incident occurred the rapper gave her the money to fix the tooth.

She told The Shade Room, “Blueface paid for everything, for my permanent replacement.” Though she went well over a year before actually deciding to repair it. Saying, “I just gotta go get it screwed in my mouth, so I’m procrastinating honestly.” Chrisean went over a year before she decided to get the tooth replaced. She even went so far as to change her Instagram bio to, “ DaBigBaby” due to her appearance of having one tooth like a baby. Upon finally getting a new tooth implanted into her gum, the reality star took it a step further by getting her rapper boyfriend’s face etched onto the tooth.

The Drama Continued

Although Chrisean Rock went on to win the show, and supposedly the affection of Blueface, the drama continued well after the show ended. There have been numerous accounts of varying altercations between Chrisean, Jaidyn and Blueface. Though Chrisean won the OnlyFans reality show back in 2020 and the pair became an item at that point, the rapper and Jaidyn Alexis welcomed their second child in August of 2022. A baby girl named Journey Alexis. The two already had an older child together. A five year old son named Javaughn.Prior to her giving birth to their daughter there were multiple videos posted of the two women going back and forth about each other. Yet even after the birth of his daughter, Chrisean continued to stand by Blueface’s side.

In October of the same year, Jaidyn posted a video where she was laying in bed with the rapper. Thus then causing his girlfriend to have a very negative reaction. A month later the rapper had a bond hearing and Chrisean made a video directed towards the Jaidyn alluding that rather than continue to make videos that she should have been at the hearing to support Blueface. The drama continued throughout the holidays when the rapper spent them with his children and their mother rather than his girlfriend. On trend the reality stars, videos were recorded and posted slinging insults at one another. Chrisean’s brother even got involved at some point giving his two cents on the tumultuous situation.

What happens now?

While the three of them separately have careers as reality stars, as a collective they are toxic and chaotic towards each other. There is a seemingly endless sea of drama between the three of them. Considering the fact that Jaidyn Alexis and Blueface have children together, one would hope that they would bring their antics to a halt or at least do them without a camera present. Even deeper, since Blueface and Chrisean refuse to let their love die despite the never-ending chaos between them the two women should find a way to put their differences aside for the sake of the children involved as well as their own integrities. Especially considering the news that broke earlier this year announcing that Chrisean Rock herself is now expecting a baby of her own. Allegedly with the rapper as well.

South African Rapper AKA Fatally Shot

South African rapper AKA passed away on Friday (February 10) after a shooting in his home country. According to various reports circling around the media, AKA and another unidentified person sustained multiple gunshot wounds outside of a nightclub in Durban. Moreover, police haven’t identified a motive for the shooting, although they gave a bit more details. “I can confirm that two men were killed and one of them is a well-known rapper,” said police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said, per New24. “Police will not [release] any names of the victims yet until a full investigation is completed.”

AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, passed shortly after culprits gunned him down near a popular nighttime spot. ALS paramedic Garrith Jamieson spoke to TimesLIVE about what occurred when medical assistance got to the scene. “On arrival, paramedics met total chaos and a scene where two men, believed to be in their late 30s, sustained multiple gunshot wounds,” he stated. “Paramedics assisted the men and unfortunately the first male sustained multiple gunshot wounds and showed no signs of life and declared deceased at the scene.”

Furthermore, paramedics found the second victim in critical condition and were unable to save them. This news is all the more tragic when you consider Forbes had much to look forward to in life. For example, AKA planned to release a new album titled Mass Country on February 24th. Also, his work included collaborations with the likes of Burna Boy and Nasty C during his career. The late rapper lives on through his music and his daughter, Kairo. While he never became the biggest star, he was well on his way to breaking into the U.S. markets. Moreover, Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur recently voice his sadness for the loss and reflected on an interview they did for AllHipHop.

“I cannot believe they took AKA from us,” Jigsaw wrote on Twitter. “He was such good energy. He was one of the few rappers I let my daughter meet when she was young. When he came to the states, I made sure I interviewed him for @AllHipHopcom. He was incredibly dope. #RIPAKA.”
Rest In Peace AKA.
