Metro Boomin Played “BBL Drizzy” In St. Louis And The Crowd Couldn’t Have Been Happier

Metro Boomin and Drake are currently in the midst of a beef. Overall, fans didn’t really know that these two had it out for one another until very recently. On the album We Don’t Trust You, it became clear that both Future and Metro had an issue with the megastar. Furthermore, it is the album that ultimately spawned the huge feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Needless to say, Metro Boomin has been quite active in 2024, and he has been unapologetic about his moves.

One of his pettiest moments so far was the beat “BBL Drizzy.” Metro even hosted a challenge for this song where fans could rap over the beat for a chance at a prize. This led to hundreds upon hundreds of submissions. With “Not Like Us” and “BBL Drizzy” making waves, it feels as though this could be a very long summer for Drake. Having said all of that, Metro was recently in St. Louis where he was performing for a crowd of Cardinals fans. It was here where he played “BBL Drizzy” live, and fans loved every second of it.

Metro Boomin Is For The People

As some fans have remarked previously, the song feels like the end credits music for the Kendrick and Drake saga. Most fans have Kendrick Lamar as the winner, with Drake taking the largest L of his career. Kendrick proved to be a madman in the booth, and had angles upon angles, as well as numerous different songs depending on what route Drake was going to take. As soon as Drizzy made it personal, Kendrick decided to unleash some heavy artillery.

Tom Hanks Had The Most Dad Response To Chet Hanks’ Text About The Drake And Kendrick Lamar Beef

Tom Hanks is generally regarded as a generational actor and among the most pleasant celebrities alive, so it checks out that Hanks was profoundly confused by Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s beef, which hit apex earlier this month with back-and-forth diss tracks, including Lamar’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-topperNot Like Us.”

On Monday morning, May 20, Chet Hanks, one of Tom Hanks’ four children, posted screenshots to his Instagram Story showing an endearingly funny text exchange with his father.

“Big Main, can you explain the Drake/Kendrick Lamar feud to me?” Hanks is shown to have texted Chet.

Chet’s reply needed a second screenshot to be captured in its entirety, as he was very thorough (and slightly erratic). All his father could muster in response was, “Holy cow! These are fighting words. People taking sides?? Who’s winning??” Chet shot back several laugh-crying emojis alongside, “Did you not just read what I said[?]”

To be fair, as lengthy as Chet’s text was, it is impossible to sum up the Drake-Kendrick saga via iMessage. Seth Rogen even struggled to adequately assess the various moving parts, though he did definitively declare Drake as the loser. Meanwhile, J. Cole made it out blissfully unscathed after removing himself from the beef in April.

Lil Yachty Seemingly Deletes Podcast Episode Where He Praised Kendrick Lamar’s Drake Diss

Lil Yachty is easily one of Drake’s best friends in the industry right now. However, Yachty has been coming under fire for some recent comments he made pertaining to the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef. Overall, Yachty was mentioned on the song “Euphoria,” and many were curious how he felt about that. On his A Safe Place Podcast, Yachty revealed that he knew ahead of time that he was going to catch a stray. Moreover, he even praised Kendrick for “Not Like Us,” claiming that the track is an absolute banger.

This subsequently led to a bit of a Twitter war with one of Drake’s Stan accounts. Quite frankly, the Stan accounts for Drake have been unhinged throughout this entire debacle. Yachty found that out the hard way, as he exchanged some words with one of them. In the end, however, it appears as though the Stan account may have won. According to Akademiks, Yachty deleted the most recent episode of his podcast. An exact reason was not given, although the Stan account at the center of all of this has taken responsibility.

Your opinion is your opinion them folks a be iight,” one person wrote in Akademiks’ comments section. “Drake betta send dat ovo chain to shorty,” said another. At this point, it seems as though the Stan pages have too much power. Whether or not that ever changes, remains to be seen. With the internet, the average person has access to celebrities, and you get results like this.

Kendrick Lamar Destroys Drake In The Streaming War As “Not Like Us” Nearly Doubles “Family Matters’” Debut

Kendrick Lamar took on Drake in what many are calling the biggest rap battle in the history of the genre. Overall, it was a messy fight with Kendrick taking the win thanks to hit records like “Not Like Us” and diabolical tracks such as “Meet The Grahams.” Although some felt like Drake’s hitmaking abilities would be too much to overcome, Lamar proved people wrong. Now, “Not Like Us” is the number-one track on the Billboard charts, and some are saying that this could be the song of the summer.

Over the last week or so, much has been made of the streaming numbers for all of the diss songs that were released. For instance, fans have been pitting “Family Matters” against “Not Like Us.” According to Rap TV, the Spotify numbers are not looking great for Drake. We say that because “Not Like Us” was streamed 70.9 million times in its first week, while “Family Matters” only hit 38 million streams. That means Kendrick almost doubled what Drake was able to do.

Kendrick Lamar Had A Great Week

Furthermore, Kendrick even outstreamed Drake with “Euphoria” as that song hit a cool 49 million streams. As for Drake, “Push Ups” did 18 million streams although it had been out for a few weeks, so you can’t fault Drizzy for that one. Regardless, “Like That” continued to do huge numbers with 34 million streams. Lastly, “Meet The Grahams” had a great first week with a total of 27.7 million streams. Considering the haunting nature of this song, that is a pretty solid debut. Regardless, it seems as though the people have spoken, and they are giving Kendrick the final W.

Let us know what you thought of the rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that this was truly a blow out in favor of Kendrick? Which song from the beef are you listening to the most these days? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Boosie Badazz Thinks Someone Could Have Gotten Hurt Amid Drake & Kendrick Lamar Beef

It’s no secret that Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s lyrical feud got pretty ugly, and according to Boosie Badazz, the situation could have escalated even further than it did. During a recent appearance on Ari Fletcher’s cooking show Dinner With The Don, the Louisiana-born performer revealed that he doesn’t like rap beef. He explained that while nobody was physically injured this time around, that’s not always the case, and it’d be a tragedy if someone had been.

“I don’t like rap beef,” he began. “Cuz what if somebody shoot Drake up? The whole world gon be sad… Somebody shoot Kendrick Lamar a** up? Chop his a** up? The whole house gon be quiet.” Boosie’s remarks have sparked a debate in TheHipHopWolf‘s comments section, with fans arguing about whether or not he has a point.

Boosie Badazz Doesn’t Like Rap Beef

This isn’t the first time Boosie’s aired his unfiltered opinion on rap beef, however. Back in April, the “Wipe Me Down” artist took to Twitter/X, urging fans to stop supporting it altogether. This was right after the release of Future and Metro Boomin’s album We Still Don’t Trust You, as listeners began to speculate about any potential Drake shade. Boosie similarly warned that things could get real in a hurry, even before Kendrick and Drake dropped their most explosive diss tracks.

“EVERYBODY GASSING UP RAP BEEF SMH ALL EXCITED SAYING THIS HIP HOP,” he wrote. “WELL EVERYONE N THE CREW NOT GO SEE IT THAT WAY . N WHEN IT POP OFF ‘IT REALLY GOES DOWN.’ SO WHEN SOMEONE FROM ONE OF THESE CREWS DIE, DONT SAY THEY ST*PID SMH GO SUPPORT THEM N COURT LIKE YALL SUPPORTED THE RAP BEEF.” What do you think of Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s beef? Lil Yachty Believes Drake Was ‘Deemed A Loser’ In The Kendrick Lamar Beef Before It Even Began

The beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar appears to have died down, as neither artist has released a diss track in a little while now. So, now that we’re at what looks like the end, Lil Yachty is taking a look back at the situation. He believes that from the very start, many people had already decided that Lamar was the winner.

On a new episode of the A Safe Place podcast, Yachty said:

“Drake was deemed a loser in this battle before it started, because people don’t like him, and haven’t, and he’s won for a very long time. And he’s sat at the top of the throne… honestly, respectfully, I think he still sits on top of the throne. I think that even if opinionated masses would say that Kendrick won, I don’t think that people are going to stop listening to Drake and Drake’s career is going to flush, you know?”

He added, “I said to Drake, I told him, ‘I don’t feel like you won or lost.’ Rappers have lost and then lost everything. […] I think Drake will still be in everyone’s rap Spotify at the end of the year at the top. He can still drop hits and it will still control the summer. I think that Kendrick made very smart moves, and I don’t think Drake would disagree.”

Soulja Boy Vs. Metro Boomin & 21 Savage: Why Are They Beefing?

As if the rap scene wasn’t chaotic enough, Soulja Boy, Metro Boomin, and 21 Savage have added to the ongoing drama in the hip-hop world. Lately, the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar beef dominated headlines after the mega superstars engaged each other in lyrical warfare. While Drake and Kendrick’s beef has cooled a bit after the former released “The Heart Part 6,” a new rap war is building, though not as grande as Drizzy and K. Dot’s battle. This time, the rap beef that is gradually getting attention is between Soulja Boy, Metro Boomin, and 21 Savage.

Soulja Boy is not alien to speaking his mind. The rapper has blasted several artists, including Kanye West, Blueface, Drake, NBA YoungBoy, and Trouble. On the other hand, Metro Boomin found himself enmeshed in Drake’s feud with Kendrick Lamar. Metro is also feuding with Drake, placing 21 Savage, who is close to both of them, in a tight situation. 21 Savage spoke about Drake and Metro’s beef during an IG Live. He called the rapper and the producer his brothers and hoped they would resolve their issues. However, 21 Savage wasn’t in peacemaker mode when he stood up for Metro after Soulja Boy came firing. Here is everything to know about the Soulja Boy vs. Metro Boomin and 21 Savage beef.

A 2012 Tweet Caused The Ruckus

Sadly for Metro Boomin, a fallout from his beef with Drake is that fans began digging for his old tweets. One of the resurfaced Metro Boomin tweets they found was from 2012, in which he dissed Soulja Boy. The tweet reads, “My phone rings to come to the studio with Jeezy. Yours rings to send Soulja Boy a pack of beats. Sit down.” Whatever Metro Boomin meant with that, Soulja Boy wasn’t pleased, and he soon reacted.

Soulja Boy’s Warning To Metro Boomin & 21 Savage’s Response

Not many people expected Soulja Boy to keep quiet after Metro Boomin’s tweet about him was unearthed and went viral. Besides calling out anyone who pissed him off, Soulja Boy once blasted Nigerian artist Wizkid over a 2010 tweet. In 2010, Wizkid tweeted, “I swear soulja boy is wack!…jeeeezzzzz!” Twelve years later, Soulja Boy got wind of the tweet and replied, “Ya mama wack. Shut ya bitch ass up.” With that sort of history, it was certain Soulja Boy would clap back at Metro after his tweet resurfaced, and he did just that.

Soulja Boy reacted to Metro’s tweet about him by giving him 24 hours to delete. He commented on a post about the tweet, writing, “He got 24 hours to delete that tweet.” However, 21 Savage responded to Soulja Boy’s comment and said, “Or what.” 21 Savage’s response infuriated Soulja Boy, and he went on a full rampage against him.

21 Savage and Soulja Boy Trade Words Online

Firstly, Soulja took to his Instagram Story to label 21 Savage a British rapper and not from Atlanta. He wrote, “Boy you a bitch you not from the A you from the UK I really will slap the sh*t out you @21savage.” Soulja Boy continued the onslaught against 21 Savage in an Instagram Live video, where he challenged the rapper and Metro to a boxing match, promising to beat them in front of the world. He also asked 21 Savage why he didn’t say anything when Drake and Metro were feuding but chose to come out of his shell now.

On Mother’s Day night, May 12, Soulja Boy continued his beef with Metro Boomin. He wished the music producer a happy Mother’s Day, fully aware that Metro’s mom was dead. Metro’s mom, Leslie Joanne Wayne, reportedly died in a murder-suicide perpetrated by his stepdad. Soulja Boy also shared screenshots of alleged old messages between him and Metro in which the producer said he was trying to send Soulja Boy beats. Soulja Boy captioned the post, “You was tryna send me beats too p**sy a*s boy @MetroBoomin.”

Again, Metro Boomin didn’t respond to Soulja Boy’s antics, but 21 Savage did. The “Bank Account” rapper posted a screenshot of a news article. The article reported that Soulja Boy had a negative net worth. Afterward, 21 Savage tweeted, “Speaking on a n**ga mama like sh*t a game you gone sh*t on yourself when I see you boy.” However, Soulja Boy responded, “F*ck u and his mama lil boy. Nah umma swing on u when I see you lame.”

Soulja Boy Gets More Heat But Remains Defiant

After bringing Metro Boomin’s late mom into the beef, Soulja Boy was heavily criticized on social media. However, he responded to his critics in a post on X, saying, “I don’t give a f**k!!!! It’s always cool when a n***a come at me but when I defend myself it’s too much huh?! F**k that n***a mama!!!!!!!!!! Don’t speak on my name bitch!” Afterward, he continued his beef with Metro and 21 Savage by asking them to sign the boxing contract. He wrote, “I’ll beat the fuck out you @MetroBoomin and @21savage sign the boxing 🥊 contract since u p**sy n***az so tough!!!”

The “Crank That” crooner mentioned Metro’s mom again in another post on X. However, this time, he suggested that Metro sacrificed his mom for fame. Soulja Boy posted, “You sacrificed your own mom @MetroBoomin you a puppet.” In another post, Soulja Boy called out Metro again, writing, “All the streams, sales, money, and fame not gone bring your mom back @MetroBoomin was it worth it? I can say f**k this money and fame sh*t and still be a boss can you?”

In more X posts, Soulja Boy called Metro a “Pussy a** bi***h” and 21 Savage a “F**k n***a.” He also posted, “F**k being relevant f**k this whole fake a*s rap game. And f**k all of yall.” Not satisfied, Soulja Boy infuriated many people when he posted, “Dig that n***a mama up and throw her back in that b**ch,” about Metro’s late mom. Many fans slammed Soulja Boy for his “disgusting” and “disrespectful” tweets about the late Leslie, but he remained defiant and soon posted, “This make yall mad huh? I’m smoking mama metro in a fat a*s wood rn.”

Soulja Boy Continues His Onslaught Against Metro Boomin But Gets No Response

Later, Soulja Boy shared a screenshot from a bank transaction that showed he received a million dollars from Warner Music. The post was in response to 21 Savage’s earlier post about him having a negative net worth, and he made sure the Slaughter Gang rapper knew about it by tagging him in the post. Afterward, Soulja Boy expressed his feelings about 21 Savage, writing, “21 speaking on my name must be trippin, I cannot be scared of a n***a from Great Britain.” So far, 21 Savage has not responded to any of Soulja Boy’s recent tweets while Metro has chosen to ignore the “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” rapper’s antics.

Much Ado About Nothing

The Soulja Boy vs. Metro Boomin and 21 Savage beef is unnecessary and almost laughable. There was really no reason for Soulja Boy to react angrily to a tweet from 12 years ago from a teenage Metro. Fine, he is known for not letting things go no matter how long ago they happened, but bringing Metro’s late mom into the issue was wrong. Also, 21 Savage, knowing about Soulja Boy’s antics on social media, should’ve realized that a response would only prolong its newsworthiness. Metro hasn’t spared Soulja Boy a thought despite being tagged multiple times, and 21 Savage should have done the same. The rap scene is chaotic at the moment, and many rappers, known or unknown, might want to take advantage, but this is the wrong way to do so. No one knows if 21 Savage or Metro would respond to Soulja Boy. However, no one needs all that drama right now. The less said about this beef, the better!

Megan Thee Stallion & GloRilla Accused Of Shading JT In Music Video BTS, Fans Debate

Fans are accusing Megan Thee Stallion of contributing to the GloRilla and JT beef, but others think that this theory is just being messy. Moreover, it stems from behind the scenes footage from the music video shoot for Meg and Glo’s recent collaboration, in which the two seem to make fun of the City Girl wearing her wig to the side. If you remember, that was a contentious point for both femcees in conflict recently on Twitter, so there’s at least some history here that could link these developments together. However, other fans argued that they filmed this video before that spat, and that the Houston femcee has shouted the Florida rapper out before, so it doesn’t really make sense that this would be shade.

Regardless, a lot of people are running with that narrative, especially as JT finds herself in a few different rap feuds. For example, Sukihana thought she caught some strays and took to Twitter for a callout, taking it on the chin for the most part. Then, Lil Uzi Vert’s boo went full swing at Suki, who responded with a diss track and now seems pretty committed to reciprocating the animosity. It’s been a series of unfortunate events for the most part, as it seems like there’s just a lot of confrontation and burned bridges in the air right now.

Megan Thee Stalion & GloRilla’s BTS Footage Allegedly Shading JT: Watch

Even with this in mind, JT is keen on moving forward and keeping her career going, especially from more of a solo perspective these days. She’s also allegedly not on the best terms right now with her City Girls partner Yung Miami, although this is mostly speculative as well and something that their team seems to have patched up. Still, there’s no telling what’s really going on behind the scenes, and a lot of fans are pretty worried. Hopefully these have all been misunderstandings and surface-level qualms.

Meanwhile, the “OKAY” spitter might address Megan Thee Stallion or GloRilla in the future, but the likelihood of that is anyone’s guess. After all, JT has been pretty selective with who she responds to and what issues she leaves behind. Maybe she attempts to fully dive in or just let it slide and die out. Either way, it’s fair to say that this isn’t the feud that some fans predicted, yet there are sadly sides to pick now in this rap beef that could impact many of these relationships.

Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest artists of this generation. Overall, his songwriting abilities are second to none. However, fans doubted him heading into his battle with Drake. It allowed him to win the public opinion, and it also allowed him to win the hit-making battle. No one figured Kendrick would get the biggest hit out of this beef, although he proved everyone wrong.

According to Billboard, “Not Like Us” has officially become the number one song on the Hot 100. Overall, this is the track that propelled Kendrick to a knockout victory. The DJ Mustard-produced track is infectious from an instrumental standpoint. Meanwhile, Lamar absolutely floats on this song with incredible flows and some truly scathing lyrics. It is pretty wild to have a song like this at number one, although it is a track that everyone is playing these days.

Drake Posts New Photos Of Himself In Nike Gear As Kendrick Lamar Feud Comes To An End

Drake has had a pretty rough week and for obvious reasons. Overall, his beef with Kendrick Lamar has not gone according to plan. Although he seemed confident that he would come away with a win, Lamar stepped on “Family Matters” with “Meet The Grahams.” A Day later, Kendrick rectified the vibes by dropping “Not Like Us.” That record has since become the biggest song in the world and many believe it has the potential to be the song of the summer. Needless to say, Drake has been bested in the same way he typically defeats other artists.

Based on some information from the likes of DJ Akademiks, it would appear as though this feud is over, at least for now. Even Drake seemingly threw up the white flag on Sunday with his latest post about summer vibes. That said, it doesn’t seem like Drake has any interest in going away and hiding. We know this because this morning, he took to his Instagram story and offered up some fit pics. As you can see down below, Drake was wearing what appeared to be a reflective Nike NOCTA jumpsuit.

Drake Seems To Be Over All Of This

Akademiks went on to post these images with the caption “Don’t worry, The Boy still locked in. Stay tuned.” It’s an interesting caption, although fans are not sure what to make of all of this. After all, Akademiks has delivered some conflicting information on whether or not this is really all over. If one thing is for certain, it is that some fans are fatigued with all of this. Kendrick has been declared the winner by most, and very few have any interest in seeing this go further.

Let us know what you think of the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that the feud is truly over? Or do you believe that Drake or Kendrick is going to come through with a new track sometime soon? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world.
