Quando Rondo Drops Single “Cash” Amid Federal Drug Charges

Georgia rapper Quando Rondo is dealing with a lot of outside noise right now. Unfortunately, he could be serving up to two decades worth of prison time. On December 10, the 24-year-old rapper was originally arrested without incident. He was simply a passenger in a vehicle and was the only one in handcuffs by the FBI on federal drug charges.

A couple of days later, we learned more about the situation. Rondo was involved in conspiracy to possess and distribute various drugs. Those substances included marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. The accusations date back to 2021 as well. So, it is safe to say Rondo is not in the best state now, but he did manage to get a track out today to sort of address all of it.

Several news reports have confirmed that Tyquian Terrel Bowman aka Quando Rondo was arrested over the weekend on federal drug charges in Georgia.

According to the reports, Rondo was taken into custody without incident after the vehicle he was in was pulled over, however, the “routine” traffic stop was conducted solely for the purpose of detaining the 24-year-old on federal charges.

None of the other occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.

Rondo was indicted this summer along with 18 other individuals on state violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act due to his involvement in the Rollin’ 60 Crips organization.

Prosecutors allege that the “ABG” rapper instructed another defendant to negotiate weed prices and then traveled to Macon, GA to pay the supplier.

As a condition, Rondo had to surrender his passport, couldn’t speak with co-defendants, must stay away from guns and illegal drugs, waive extradition, and couldn’t break laws. He must also be present at each of his court hearings.

In the previous update, Judge Tammy Stokes wanted to take “all of the information presented by both sides” before the bond decision.

Update on Quando Rondo’s Arrest

As XXL reports, the indictment notably mentions a June 4 trip to Macon, Georgia. At the time, the “ABG” artist was allegedly travelling to pay a marijuana supplier. On the bright side, Quando’s arrest wasn’t a total surprise. He turned himself into authorities on June 16, sending out a telling tweet to his loved ones early that morning. “I Love You Paris, Italy, Kiyah, My Mama, Tess, My Grandma, Freida,” he wrote. “I’ll Be Bacc!”

At this time, the accused gang member has yet to release an official statement regarding his arrest. Amid the mass hip-hop crime wave that’s unfolding, it’s been increasingly difficult to keep up with the news coming from various cases. The YSL and YFN RICO trials are still unfolding, and YNW Melly is in court this month as his proceedings move forward in Broward County. Interestingly enough, Quando Rondo was venting about wishing he had kept more of his personal life private just weeks before his recent arrest. Read everything the embattled artist had to say at the link below and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Quando Rondo Says He “Don’t Even Remember” The Night Of King Von’s Death

Fresh off of the release of his new album Recovery, Quando Rondo continues to face questions surrounding his feud with Lil Durk’s crew. The “Soul Reaper” rapper recently sat down with Say Cheese TV! where he was confronted with questions about Lil Durk and King Von. On the question of the Durk look-a-like, Quando Rondo denied that he attempted to make a mockery out of the “What Happened To Virgil” rapper. He explained that a lot of people have blonde hair these days, including his friend who starred in the video. In Quando’s view, it was a mere coincidence.

However, Say Cheese TV! also dove into the topic of King Von’s death. If you recall, it was Quando’s associate, Lul Tim, who’s accused of being the triggerman on the night that the Chicago rapper died in Atlanta. And while Quando seemingly gloated about Von’s death in his music and social media after the fact, he feigned ignorance when he was asked about the situation specifically. “I don’t even remember that night,” he said as he sparked a blunt. “That was so long ago. You know how that go.”

Quando Rondo Pleads The Fifth

While Quando Rondo said that he can’t remember what happened “two months ago,” and stated that he only remembers when the next Jordan’s drop. However, a lot of people in the comments of MyMixtapez’s post pointed out the scuffle that occurred between Quando Rondo and King Von right before the shooting. Others clowned Quando Rondo, especially after his interview with Angela Yee where he said he experienced an out-of-body experience. “Big Brah… it was the outer body experience that I don’t remember big brah,” one person wrote.

King Von died on November 6th, 2020 in Atlanta following an altercation between himself and Quando Rondo’s associate. Lul Tim was later charged in relation to the fatal shooting though he later posted bond and was released. However, the shooting spurred high tension between Lil Durk’s OTF camp and NBA Youngboy’s Never Broke Again clique, who have continued to take shots at each other over on records and social media. Most recently, Quando Rondo and Lil Durk appeared to throw shade at each other over release dates, though the former said he had issues with his label, not Durk.
