Wiz Khalifa Gives Max B His Flowers

Wiz Khalifa is continuing to show love to one his favorite rappers. Max B came to prominence in the mid 2000s. The Harlem native first began getting hype when he appeared on several songs in 2005. Perhaps most notably, he featured on Jim Jones’ “Baby Girl” and Cam’ron’s “You Gotta Love it.” Furthermore. Max B released his first mixtape, Million Dollar Baby in 2006. However, legal troubles would derail the budding star’s career. Despite this, Max continues to be a beloved figure among many hip-hop fans. One of those fans is Wiz Khalifa.

Wiz recently appeared on Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin Podcast. The “Black and Yellow” rapper revealed why Max B is such an inspiration. “He just had a really dope, just real in-your-face real confidence,” he said. “I looked up to that.” In many ways, Max B was a pioneer in hip-hop. The melodic style he helped make famous is now commonplace. Wiz says Max’ style was also one of the things that stood out about him. “I look up to his melodies,” Wiz said. “I like how he mixed melody and rap.

Wiz Khalifa Explains Why Max B Resonated With Him

Additionally, Wiz also says he seeks to emulate Max’s incredible work rate. “Dude had like 28 mixtapes before he went to jail,” he said. “At that point in my life, it was like, that’s a dude that I can relate to because I’m like man, I’m tryna go that hard too. I want to be in peoples’ faces too.” Furthermore, Wiz, sees his confidence as something else he’s learned from Max. “I’m that confident about my music as well,” he said. Furthermore, Wiz credits to Max B for making such an impact while being a largely underground rapper. “He was like, really still an underground artist but people like me and Curren$y and a couple other people,” he said. “We really gravitated towards him and seen the polish in all of that.”

Max B was slated to become a breakout star in 2006. However, in July of that year, he was arrested on serious felony charges. Authorities accused Max of participating in a botched robbery and homicide in New Jersey. Subsequently, he was found guilty in 2009 and sentenced to 75 years in prison. However, his sentence would later be reduced to 12 years. Furthermore, Max’ friend and label mate French Montana has claimed that Max will be released later this year.

Frenchie Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison For Botched Burglary

Strong Island MC Frenchie was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Thursday (April 6) after jury conviction on charges stemming from a botched burglary. Moreover, the specific charges include two violent felonies: three counts of first-degree burglary and one count of second-degree burglary. Not only that, but the 37-year-old, real name Gregg Hogan, will also serve five years of post-supervision after jail time according to Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierny. Furthermore, many might recognize his name for introducing Nicki Minaj to her former manager Debra Antney. As such, he has a unique connection to one of rap’s biggest stars.

However, Frenchie went through hard times, having survived multiple gunshot wounds including one to his neck. Unfortunately, it seems like that hard life didn’t elude him. According to Patch, Frenchie engaged in robbery with three other men. These are Miguel Ruiz, Hakim Muhammad, and Donte Thomas. From what reports indicate, they kicked in a house door to rob it. What’s more is that they carried guns, thinking it would be a money and weed stash property. Turns out there was a whole family inside.

Frenchie Facing Time For Failed Robbery

Moreover, the recording artist encountered a mother, father, and autistic teenage son, whom were all asleep at the time of the invasion. D.A. Tierny claimed that Frenchie and his cohorts told the victims to lie face down as they searched the home. When the teenage son did not respond, one of the men allegedly struck him with his pistol. As a result, he bore facial cuts and bruises when police arrived at the scene. “The pistol-whipping of an innocent autistic young man in a failed home invasion is among the most outrageous crimes we have prosecuted,” the D.A. stated. “Hopefully, this defendant’s conviction and significant prison sentence provides the victims with some sense of relief and security.”

Meanwhile, Frenchie’s defense team maintained that he did not participate in the robbery or serve as the getaway driver, as the prosecution claims. “He was sitting in the car,” his attorney Anthony Scheller expressed after the sentencing. “I argued to [Supreme Court Justice Timothy P. Mazzei] that he didn’t tie anyone up, he didn’t have a gun, [and] he didn’t pistol whip anybody.” Also, Scheller hinted that the 37-year-old will likely seek appeal. For more updates on this story and Frenchie, check back in with HNHH.

Tee Grizzley’s Twin Gets Four Years In Prison

Baby Grizzley, twin brother of Tee Grizzley, just got sentenced to four years and nine months in federal jail on convicted charges of illegal gun possession. Moreover, the case stems from a December 8, 2020 nighttime traffic stop for driving without his headlights on, according to the Justice Department. Not only that, but Royal Oaky police pulled the rapper over, real name Marcellus Wallace, along codefendant Nolan Dasgupta-Francis and another individual. Furthermore, police allegedly approached the vehicle from the driver’s side and saw two red solo cups in two cup holders near the driver’s seat.

Then, Wallace and Dasgupta-Francis said they were the ones drinking, but not driving. Allegedly, the latter pulled out a partially drunk bottle of Johnnie Walker Black. After police asked all three to exit the vehicle due to “open intoxicants,” they searched the car. During the inspection, they found “two fully loaded semiautomatic pistols on the floorboard where Wallace had been seated,” and found two more near where Dasgupta-Francis sat. According to court records, Grizzley tried to bribe the driver to take the blame while the two sat in the back of a police car following the arrest.

Tee Grizzley’s Twin Gets Nearly Five Years Behind Bars

What’s more is that he had just received $300,000 cash in advance for signing a record deal, and reportedly offered the driver $20,000 to take the hit. However, said efforts proved unsuccessful. Dasgupta-Francis faced a 45-month federal prison sentence, and both he and Grizzley also face parole violation charges. Officials arrested Wallace less than two months after he finished serving time for robbery in a state prison.

“This case demonstrates ATF’s core mission to stop violent criminals from illegally possessing firearms,” Assistant Special Agent in Charge Craig Kailimai stated. “We will continue to work side by side with our local law enforcement and U.S. Attorney partners to make our communities safer.” Shortly after Baby Grizzley’s arrest, his brother Tee Grizzley took to Instagram to express his heartbreak and support. “Free Bro this S**t just crushed me but ima hold this s**t down like I been doing my boy I got us @babyygrizzleytd,” he wrote. Check out that post below and come back to HNHH for the latest on Baby Grizzley’s case and Tee Grizzley.

GloRilla Sets The Record Straight About 3-Year Prison Sentence Over Stolen Cereal

Funny Marco undoubtedly produces some of the funniest interviews with rappers. Whether interviewing people like Ari Fletcher or Boosie Badazz, he manages to keep a straight face when he asks the most outrageous questions. Case in point, his interview with GloRilla in the midst of her come-up. The media personality asked GloRilla to confirm that she once spent three years in jail for stealing cereal at K-Mart. Marco pressed Glo about the apparent time she served, especially due to the nature of the crime.

That clip, in particular, continued to circulate around the Internet, though there hasn’t been any court documents to corroborate these claims. However, fans still think that GloRilla did a three-year sentence prior to the fame over stolen Frosted Flakes. The clip pops up every once in a while. Still, GloRilla is fed up with having to address these rumors. She recently took to Twitter where she clarified her claims while bashing gullible folks on the Internet who feel as though she really did time for a petty crime.

GloRilla Addresses Prison Time

The “F.N.F” rapper dished out a pair of tweets where she finally set the record straight on the interview. “You hoes really sat y’all ass up there & believed I went to jail for 3 years for stealing cereal & dats why you hoes hearts be in y’all ass today because y’all believe whatever a n***a a tell you,” she wrote. “& dats da reason you N***as be taking care of kids dats not y’all’s till they 12 because you believe whatever a ho tell you.” It’s certainly some harsh commentary but she’s evidently fed up with the jokes.

In related news, GloRilla recently came through with the extended edition of her 2022 debut, Anyways… Life’s Great. The new project includes four new song on the tracklist, along with some solid features. Artists like Lil Durk and Trina appear on the re-release, as well as NikiPooh who joins Glo and Gloss Up on “Get That Money.” Hopefully, we’ll see an official album from the Memphis star in the near future. Given that she dominated summer 2022, we expect the same from her this year.

Tay-K Thanks Fans For Response To His Recent Letter

Tay-K shared a message to his fans on Twitter, Monday night, expressing his gratitude for the positive response to his recent public letter. In the letter, the rapper reflected on his incarceration at such a young age. The rapper, best known for his hit song “The Race,” is currently behind bars serving a sentence of 55 years to life.

“Just heard about the response to my letter. I’m forever indebted to my fans for going so crazy on my behalf #freetayk,” Tay-K wrote. “It means a lot especially in this situation, we not letting these fake ass stories fly, we gonna get the truth out.”

Tay-K’s Appreciative Post

As for his actual letter, Tay-K began by stating his love for his fans. He also noted that he’s been in prison for over five years by this point. He continued: “It’s still crazy to me that I never had a chance to live outside as an adult. I’ve been locked up and in and out of the ‘justice’ and CPS system 4 my whole life. Not sure if y’all know but I got sentenced as an adult to 55 years in prison for a crime where I wasn’t even the shooter. I wasn’t even alleged to have a gun. I was never even suspected to have pulled a trigger or hurt anyone.”

He further argued: “I was young and didn’t have no positive figures around. Now that I’m older I know how important focusing on leading by example is. I love my fans and I don’t want any1 to think I’m promoting or really recommending violence. That’s why I really dedicate a lot of my time in here to using the success of my music to have a positive impact on other young artist, even if it’s something small like taking a phone call or writing a letter to keep them positively inspired. Regardless of my situation the movement is eternal.” Tay-K’s sentence stems from the murder of a 21-year-old man in 2016. Tay-K was just a teenager at the time. He previously shared a plea for a “second chance at adulthood,” earlier this year.

Andrew Tate Released From Jail, On House Arrest

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been reportedly released from Romanian jail, and are now on house arrest. Moreover, news broke that the two successfully appealed against extending their preventative arrest by 30 more days during a hearing on Wednesday (March 29). However, it seems that the two are now officially out of Romanian custody and placed on house arrest for an indefinite time as of writing this article. For those unaware, both men are under investigation for running a sex trafficking ring, as well as abuse.

Furthermore, this is the sixth time the Tate brothers and their legal team tried to appeal their preventative arrest. All previous efforts proved unsuccessful, and it’s unclear what went differently this time around. Still, they both posted cryptic messages to their social media accounts hinting at upcoming freedom. “Friday. InshaAllah,” both tweeted. In fact, they remained active on the platform throughout their arrest, so their incarceration failed to hamper their perspective online. Of course, it still faced a wave of backlash and criticism, and their testimonies certainly don’t help their public image surrounding this case.

Andrew Tate & Brother Are Free From Romanian Custody

Along with Andrew and Tristan, two other Romanian women faced jail time for the alleged crimes. While no one involved faces any real charges as of yet, the investigation into them proved fruitful and thorough. Many alleged details surfaced in the weeks and months following their December arrest, such as them allegedly branding women with “Owned by Tate” markers. In addition, police seized multiple luxury assets including cars, watches, and other property. On that note, raids of property and deeper investigations into their practices followed suit as they remained behind bars.

With all this in mind, it’s hard to predict or know what will come of this house arrest. For the Tate brothers, part of their mission online served to maintain their voice to those who support them. For the rest of the world, it simply added another layer to more pressing information about their alleged crimes that still haven’t seen the light of day. Regardless, their views and rhetoric, both during and in the aftermath of their case, likely won’t seek to reconcile their hateful attitudes or right their previous wrongs. Stay logged into HNHH for the latest big news on this developing story, and more updates on Tristan and Andrew Tate.

Tay-K Shares Heartfelt Letter From Prison On Instagram

After years behind bars, every glimpse we get into Tay-K’s case is a treat for longtime fans. Even though his incarceration is highly debated for many reasons, it’s still heartening to see an artist continue connecting with fans despite their circumstances. Moreover, the Texas MC recently posted a letter he wrote from jail reflecting on his journey. While he spoke of his struggles and frustrations, the 22-year-old’s words served more to inspire and provide a positive outlook.

“Yo!” he excitedly began his letter. “I’m sitting here thinking about all my fans, I love and miss y’all. I know there’s a lot that I haven’t directly spoke on and there are many things my fans know. But I’m not sure everybody else does. I’ve been here for five [and a half] years now and I feel indebted to y’all for going so crazy behind me. It’s still crazy to me that I never had a chance to live outside as an adult, I’ve been locked up and in and out of the ‘justice’ and CPS system for my whole life.

Tay-K’s Prison Letter

“Not sure if y’all know, but I got sentenced as an adult to 55 years in prison for a crime where I wasn’t even the shooter, I wasn’t even alleged to have a gun,” he continued. “I was never even suspected to have pulled a trigger or hurt anyone. I was young and didn’t have no positive figures around. Now that I’m older, I know how important focusing on leading by example is. I love my fans and I don’t want anyone to think I’m promoting or really recommending violence.

“That’s why I really dedicate a lot of my time in here to using the success of my music to have a positive impact on other young artists,” he concluded. “Even if it’s something small like taking a phone call or writing a letter to keep them positively inspired. Regardless of my situation, the movement is Eternal. #RR4L #FREEM3. Perpetually, Tay-K.” Regardless of his case’s status, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Tay-K.

42 Dugg’s Prison Statement: “I Guess ‘Cause I’m Turnt I Gotta Go Through The Worst!!!”

Just a few days ago, fans of 42 Dugg were sad to find out that he’s facing up to five more years in prison. The rapper previously plead guilty to his charges of failure to surrender earlier this month. On Tuesday (March 28), he gave a brief update on his situation via his Instagram Story. “A lot of these n*ggas got get out jail free cards,” he ranted with white text written over a black screen. “I guess ’cause I’m turnt I gotta go through the worst!!!!!”

To conclude his message, Dugg wrote, “Death Before Dishonour, #FREEDEMBOYZ.” It remains unclear exactly who he was referring to getting “get out of jail free cards,” though he’s obviously carrying some resentment over the ongoing situation. On top of his additional time served, the 28-year-old could have to pay a hefty $250K fine, though that won’t be known for sure until a later date.

42 Dugg Facing More Prison Time

As XXL reports, Dugg was arrested in March 2020 as a part of a federal gun probe. Later that same year, he was convicted of felony possession of a firearm, and sentenced to six months at a federal West Virginia prison camp. The Detroit native’s sentence was scheduled to begin on April 12, 2022, but he ultimately failed to show up. That May, he was taken into custody by federal agents at an airport in his hometown.

At first, 42 Dugg plead not guilty, claiming sovereign citizenship which would exempt him from complying with federal law. While he surely felt confident in his defence, the court did not, resulting in the “Maybach” hitmaker’s recent plea. Five years being added to his sentence would obviously be the worst-case scenario, but it’s worth noting that the court is recommending six months for his failure to surrender. The next time we’ll see the recording artist in court is on May 10 for his sentencing hearing. Keep scrolling to read his latest statement for yourself, and check back later for more hip-hop news updates.
