Jrue Holiday Praises Celtics During First Press Conference

Newly acquired guard Jrue Holiday wasted no time in praising his team. “I feel like coming here is definitely my best chance of winning and being able to help the guys here that have made big moves and done great things in this league. So, I’m here to really just help set up that game and become a champion. I’m on the right side,” Holiday said during his first press conference in Boston.

`The Celtics acquired Holiday in exchange for two first-round picks, Robert Williams III, and Malcolm Brogdon. Holiday, who had 19.3 points and 7.4 assists a game last season, will likely become the Celtics’ starting point guard in place of Derrick White. Holiday suddenly became available after being included in the Damian Lillard trade. The Blazers made it clear that they were looking to flip Holiday as they were happy with their core of young guards. Furthermore, he is the second blockbuster trade executed by the Celtics. Earlier in the offseason, they acquired Kristaps Porziņģis from the Wizards.

“JT and JB were out there after people defensively and … I think for us to be a great team, obviously, those two are gonna carry us along a lot of the way. I just want to make it easier for them, I know that I am a threat offensively. And I know that I do love to pass and be that type of player, but I can also be aggressive offensively, too. Not only that, defensively I feel like I’m pretty good,” Holiday said of his new teammates.

However, the trade means that Holiday will now have to regularly face one of his closest friends in the league. Jrue is my fucking brother for life. I love his family, I love him. I appreciate him and I wish him nothing but the best. He blessed me with a fucking championship. He’s the one who made that huge steal in Game 5 of the Finals. DJ Khaled Reveals He Signed To Def Jam During Press Conference

DJ Khaled recently announced a partnership with Def Jam Records and We The Best Music Group during a press conference. Not only that, but his announcement came days after he performed at the Grammys, which nominated him in multiple categories. His album GOD DID received a nomination for Best Rap Album. Also, its title track almost won for Best Rap Song and Song of the Year. Moreover, the We The Best mogul expressed gratitude for his friendships and opportunities as he made his announcement.

Furthermore, the “I’m The One” industry titan elaborated on his excitement for this new step. “We’re going to be signing artists and we’re actually looking for some new A&Rs to add to the team. What I like also about this whole creative consultant thing is that I’m going to be able to touch the whole Universal Music Group. Not just in music, but in marketing, film, TV, just anything dealing with creating.”

Rihanna Explains How Her Son Motivated Her To Do Super Bowl Half-Time Show

Whether or not you’re a fan of the NFL, the Super Bowl Half-Time Show will undoubtedly be one of the best ways to follow up the epic Dr. Dre-led performance last year. The NFL and Roc Nation tapped Rihanna for her first performance in seven years. Needless to say, fans are excited. Some feel as though this could open the doors for her new album while recent reports indicate that she might follow up the epic performance with a tour.

This morning, Rihanna appeared for a press conference with Apple Music’s Nadeska Alexis.  Though she didn’t reveal much about the performance, she confirmed that it will be 13 minutes in length. However, Rihanna admitted it was difficult to narrow down the setlist. “There are probably like 39 versions of the setlist right now,” she said. “Every little change counts.” What the setlist consists of, however, remains a surprise reserved for Sunday night’s Half-Time show. However, reports previously claimed that Jay-Z assisted in putting the show together. 

Rihanna’s Son Inspired Her Decision To Perform At The Super Bowl

During her conversation with Nadeska Alexis, Rihanna also explained that motherhood motivated her to do the Half-Time show. “When you become a mom, there’s just something that happens that makes you feel like you could take on the world. You could do anything. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world,” she explained. Though it’s been seven years since her last performance, she felt there was no better time than now. “It’s important for me to do this this year, it’s important for representation. It’s important for my son.” 

We clearly have Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s son to thank for her return to the limelight. The couple welcomed their first child together in May 2022 before revealing the first photo of him a few months later. Reports recently emerged stating that Rihanna’s filming the lead-up to the Super Bowl performance for a documentary. Though there isn’t much news surrounding that, we could imagine that her son will make a cameo. Rihanna hits the stage on Sunday, Feb. 12th. Will you be tuning in?

Several news reports have confirmed that We The Best Music Group head honcho DJ Khaled has a major announcement during a press conference alongside Jay-Z’s Roc Nation team in Miami today(February 9).

This announcement was made days after Khaled’s monumental performance of his Grammy-nominated single “GOD DID” alongside Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, John Legend, Rick Ross and Fridayy.

Hov admitted that he wasn’t sure if h would even perform his entire verse, telling TIDAL in an interview, “I thought about it, I was in my head and I just broke down and said, ‘You know, it’s a four-minute verse.’ Again, for the culture, for Hip Hop, we got to do that,” he said. “This ain’t your traditional song. … It’s not your traditional structure of what you think a song that would be nominated for Song of the Year would sound like. It’s not what you expect. And for the culture and for Hip Hop, we got to do that.”

In January, Roc Nation announced a partnership with DJ Khaled, Shyne and The Walt Disney Company that will oversee Khaled and Roc Nation’s production of one of four biographical projects.

According to former Bad Boy rapper Shyne, his new deal through the Disney-owned brands ESPN and Andscape will see the release of a documentary, a new biopic, a docu-series and his own autobiography.

“Very pleased, very grateful that I was able to close a deal with Walt Disney and their subsidiaries ESPN and Andscape to produce my bio-documentary, bio-motion picture and bio-TV series, as well as my memoir,” the Belizean politician said. “The documentary will be executive produced by DJ Khaled and Roc Nation. So stay tuned, we will begin production here in Belize in the Spring. And we look for a 2024 Summer release.”

Today’s press conference is scheduled for noon today.

Bryan Kohberger Named As Idaho Murder Suspect, Moscow Police Provide Further Updates: Watch

One chapter of the horrendous University of Idaho murders is coming to an end. However, that only means the beginning of another. A month and a half after the deaths of Kaylee, Xana, Madison, and Ethan, an arrest has finally been made in connection to the case. 28-year-old Bryan Kohberger is said to be the alleged killer.

The news came on Friday (December 30) morning. Hours ago, the FBI made an arrest outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania. The Moscow Police Department issued an arrest warrant for first-degree murder. They shared during a press conference today that plans are in place to extradite the apparent criminal back to Idaho.

As TMZ notes, Kohberger is currently a Ph.D. student at Washington State University. He’s studying criminal justice and criminology at the school located just nine miles west of the small town where the murders took place.

Authorities reportedly found out that he has a white Hyundai Elantra – a car which they’ve previously been on the hunt for. Some are saying that his DNA was present at the scene of the crime.

Kohberger’s vehicle was taken earlier today, and cops are subsequently searching his place. The residence is also conveniently roughly nine miles from Moscow.

Thus far, much of the online commentary has been about the reported criminal’s “blank stare” during his police bust. At the time, he’s also said to have asked cops in anyone else was brought into custody in their investigation.

During a press conference that began broadcasting at 1 PM PT, several local authorities involved with the case gave updates. However, each of them said that it will still be some time before all the information they have can come out.

Additionally, police said that they’re still open to receiving tips regarding the stabbings – particularly any that involve Kohberger specifically. Watch the full video below, and check back later for any updates on the arrest.
