Post Malone Demanded An NBA Contract While Beating Marcus Smart At Beer Pong Backstage In Boston

On September 23, Post Malone took to Boston’s TD Garden, where the NBA’s Celtics play their home games, for a concert. He also paid tribute to the city by wearing a jersey of Celtics guard Marcus Smart, the reigning NBA Defensive Player Of The Year. It turns out the two Dallas natives got to enjoy some time together backstage and Smart spoke about a fun moment they shared.

During an interview with NBC Sports Boston at the Celtics’ media day on September 26, Smart was asked if he got to play Malone at beer pong and he said, “Yeah, I played him. I won one game, but I went five in a row the last game! […] He’s really good. He kept telling me to call [Celtics President Of Basketball Operations] Brad [Stevens] for him, though. Every shot he made, he was like, ‘Call Brad, sign me up, give me the 10-day [contract]!’”

After the concert, Smart shared photos of himself and Malone backstage and wrote on Instagram, “That was a [fire] show @postmalone thanks for the love Friday night. Fans were crazy live. Felt their love as well. Place was crazy. Boston fans never fail.”

Malone’s second Boston concert of the tour, set for September 24, was postponed as Malone noted, “I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.” This came not long after he fell in an on-stage hole and injured his ribs.

Post Malone: ‘I Watch Literally Every Episode Of ‘Modern Family’ Every Single Day’ On Tour

Of all the shows available to binge-watch, Modern Family is one of the best. The show has won and been nominated for dozens of awards, it enjoyed a 250-episode run, and it’s streaming on Hulu. It turns out the ABC comedy is Post Malone’s binge show of choice for chilling out on tour.

In a new GQ interview, Malone was asked how he relaxes on the road and he said:

“I watch literally every episode of Modern Family every single day. Every day, I start on season one, episode one, and then by the time I go to bed… Because I just leave it on as background noise, as well, whenever I’m not even deliberately watching. But by the time I fall asleep, I’m done with season eight already. I’m like, ‘Where does the time go?’ I don’t understand.”

Posty’s passion for the Dunphy’s et al. is endearing, but his claim is hard to believe.

As aforementioned, Modern Family ran for 250 episodes, and at an average length of 22 minutes per episode, that’s 5,500 total minutes, or over 91 hours, across the whole series. One day here on Earth, as you may have heard, is 24 hours (pretty much, anyway). As for Malone’s claim that he’s “done with season eight” by the time he falls asleep, that too is not likely. There are 188 episodes in the show’s first eight seasons, which run for about 4,136 minutes, or about 69 hours. So, while that’s nice, it sure doesn’t seem possible (assuming that Malone lacks the ability to control the flow of time).

However, there are actually ways Malone could actually watch the whole show in a waking day; let’s call it 14 hours, assuming 8 hours of sleep. If he watched the show at 7-times speed, he could knock it out in around 13 hours. Alternately, he could just watch 7 episodes at once and breeze through the series that way. There’s also the possibility that Malone has a different idea of what he considers a “day” to be. On Venus, for example, a day lasts for 5,832 hours.

So, to answer Malone’s question (“Where does the time go?”), it’s really hard to say.

Post Malone Postpones His Boston Show After Being Hospitalized: ‘I’m Having A Very Difficult Time Breathing’

Post Malone has faced a series of mishaps while on his “Twelve Carat Tour.” A week ago, the “Cooped Up” singer injured his ribs after falling through a hole on stage during his St. Louis show. Still, Post managed to perform, while clutching his ribs, visibly in pain. Unfortunately, he is unable to perform at his Boston stop tonight, as he has been hospitalized.

Post took to his Instagram stories to share the news, saying, “I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.”

He revealed to fans that he typically wakes up rather late during tours, and today, he woke up with cracking sounds on the right side of his body.

Post has not indicated whether his current injury is related to that which he sustained at the St. Louis show, however, he said the show will be rescheduled and that fans who purchased tickets for tonight’s show will be able to use them on the rescheduled date.

“Once again, I’m so f*cking sorry,” he continued. “I love y’all so much. I feel terrible, but I promise I’m going to make this up to you. I love you Boston, I’ll see you soon.”

Post Malone Starts Beefing With The Hole He Fell In On Stage

A few nights ago, at the St. Louis stop of his Twelve Carat Tour, Post Malone had an on-stage mishap: In the middle of walking around and performing “Circles,” Malone stepped into a hole on the stage and took a pretty hard fall, staying on the ground for a short while. He left the stage but returned 15 minutes later to finish the show. He wasn’t completely unharmed, though, as he actually cracked three ribs in the slip.

It’s been a few days since then but Malone isn’t letting it go. In fact, he officially launched some beef with the hole, taking to Instagram to fire shots at the on-stage gap.

Yesterday, he shared a photo of himself on stage, sticking his middle finger up and pointing it squarely at the ground. He captioned the photo, “[middle finger emoji] F U Hole.”

Malone later explained what happened, saying, “Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitars are on the guitar stand… and there’s this big-ass hole, so I go around there and I turn the corner and bust my ass. [It] winded me pretty good. Got me pretty good. We just got back from the hospital and everything’s good. Everything’s good. They gave me some pain meds and everything so we can keep kicking ass on the tour.”

How Did Post Malone Fall On Stage And Was He Ok?

This past weekend in St. Louis, Post Malone was on stage at the Enterprise Center on a tour stop as part of his Twelve Carat Toothache Tour. But the performance didn’t quite go as planned, with Malone taking a vicious spill on stage while performing “Circles” midway through his set. In fan videos captured from the show that circulated on social media, Posty appeared to fall into a large hole in the middle of the stage and was immediately clutching his ribs, writhing in pain. He left the stage and came back 15 minutes later to finish the set, which was cut short as he was in so much pain and couldn’t on any longer. But how did he fall on stage in the first place? What was a giant hole doing in the middle of the stage where he’s always on the move while performing? And what about his injuries?

How Did Post Malone Fall On Stage And Was He Ok?

It seems as though the hole in the stage floor, is where Post Malone’s guitar stands rest during his acoustic songs like “Stay,” “Go Flex,” and “Circles.” And once they’re removed, the hole was just exposed. Caught up in the moment of the song, Posty fell through it. In an Instagram video posted by his manager Dre London, the rapper addressed the camera and explained exactly what happened. “Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitars are on the guitar stand… and there’s this big ass hole,” he began, before recounting what happened, “So I go around there and I turn the corner and bust[ed] my ass. [It] winded me pretty good. Got me pretty good. We just got back from the hospital and everything’s good. Everything’s good. They gave me some pain meds and everything so we can keep kicking ass on the tour.”

Post Malone sustained injuries to his ribs, which when he came back out on stage, he told the crowd that they were cracked. In a subsequent Instagram post, London clarified that Malone actually suffered “bruised” ribs. The rapper was placed on pain medication at the hospital and was able to make it to his tour stop in Columbus the following night. But he sent a message to fans in St. Louis, telling them that he owes them, a longer set next time he stops through the city in order to, “…make up for the couple missed songs that we missed.”

Post Malone Explains How And Why He Fell On Stage And Hurt His Ribs

While performing last night in St. Louis as part of his Twelve Carat Toothache Tour, Post Malone took a wicked fall on stage and was immediately writhing in pain. He left the stage and emerged 15 minutes later explaining that he had cracked three ribs. Videos of the incident have since gone viral and while Post Malone miraculously returned to finish his set, he was clearly in pain as he winced his way through the final songs. So what actually happened and why did he fall? Why was there a large hole in the middle of the stage for him to fall in to begin with?

In an Instagram video posted by Malone’s manager Dre London, Posty is addressing the camera following his hospital visit and seems like he’s understandably on some pain meds. He begins graciously, thanking fans in St. Louis profusely before explaining why the hole was on stage and how he fell: “Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitars are on the guitar stand… and there’s this big ass hole, so I go around there and I turn the corner and bust my ass,” he said, detailing the fall. “[It] winded me pretty good. Got me pretty good. We just got back from the hospital and everything’s good. Everything’s good. They gave me some pain meds and everything so we can keep kicking ass on the tour.”

He finished the clip my telling fans in St. Louis that, “Next time I’m around this way, we’re gonna do a two hour show for you so we can make up for the couple missed songs that we missed.” He genuinely seemed concerned for the experience of his fans, which was endearing to watch.

In another post, London posted a picture of him and Malone and explained that despite how painful the fall looked, the medical diagnosis was actually of three bruised ribs, not cracked. “Post Malone didn’t break 3 ribs last nite thank god. We did X-rays @ hospital after the show & they declared he had bruised his ribs!,” he commented. Adding that, “In true Posty fashion loving his fans he finished the show! I truly don’t know any artist like him.”

The Twelve Carat Tootheache Tour continues tonight (September 18th) in Columbus and it’s safe to that fans in Ohio are ready to welcome a pain meds-laden Posty with open arms.
