Pooh Shiesty Is Fighting Against His Recommended Eight-Year Prison Sentence
Last year, Pooh Shiesty, born Lontrell Williams, was charged with discharging a firearm during a violent crime and robbery after he allegedly shot a man in the buttocks. During the incident, which occurred in October of 2020, the man, 28-year-old Brandon Cooper, was allegedly shot by Williams when they met up to exchange weed and sneakers. Cooper was later indicted with seven others for allegedly forging checks. After the indictment, Williams accepted a plea deal that helped the rapper avoid a life sentence, the prosecution and defense agreeing that eight years in jail would be a fitting sentence for Williams.
However, as per a new report from Rolling Stone, Williams’ lawyer Brad Cohen is now fighting against the recommended eight-year prison sentence. On Friday, Cohen filed paperwork that claimed “ballistics and forensic evidence” proved that Williams did not shoot Cooper in the buttocks. Cohen also argues that since his client pleaded guilty to only a single count of firearms conspiracy, it’s not fair that a pre-sentencing report submitted to the court suggests that he was involved in a “robbery/shooting.”
“The government wants this court to believe Mr. Williams, with a net worth of $3,449,446, planned a robbery, then committed a robbery, and then shot a known drug dealer who knew him well and could easily identify him,” court documents read. “All over a few hundred-dollar drug deal for personal use, while he was driving a lime green McLaren that he rented from the alleged victim.” It adds:
Mr. Williams possessed over $40,000 in cash and was driving a vehicle valued at over $200,000. It would be illogical for Mr. Williams to stage a robbery by two other individuals over something so minuscule as a bottle of liquid codeine with a retail value of a few hundred dollars, at most, when any damage done to the McLaren in the process would have cost thousands of dollars to repair.
Cohen notes that medical records show the bullet that struck Cooper “entered the left buttocks near the top of the muscle and exited at the lower part of the muscle” with “the angle being that of a downward slope.” As a result, Cooper believes that it “simply would have been impossible for the wound to occur with Mr. Williams being the shooter.”
Williams’ sentencing date is set for April 20.

New Photo Surfaces Of Pooh Shiesty In Jail
After it was reported that Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty would remain behind bars after he pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge for possession of a firearm. Pooh Shiesty’s Lawyer Calls Out Wack 100 For Alleging the Rapper is A Snitch
While Pooh Shiesty is currently behind bars, fighting a case, his name is still talked about in the industry. Recently, Wack 100, manager of Blueface Baby has yet again made some shocking claims regarding one Memphis’ very own, stating that the “Back in Blood” rapper cooperated as a federal informant in order to get a lighter sentence.
Shiesty’s attorney, Bradford Cohen came to defend his client’s name in his absence, stating that Wack’s claims are an outright lie, under an upload of the audio.
“This is 100 percent fake news. @wack100 there is no paperwork that would say @poohshiesty said a word about anything on anything,” Cohen began.
“In fact, none of the 3 charged gave proffers on anything about anything having to do with other people. This is just a straight mistruth. They all took pleas to the same crime of 1 count of a possession of a weapon during a drug crime, none of them gave a proffer about anything, it was a straight plea, with all of them having the other 3 life felony counts dismissed.”
“But why bother with facts…just throw something out for clicks,” he added.
While Shiesty’s lawyer stepped in the defend his client’s name, it also seems that Shiesty’s mother also had a few words for Wack 100 on social media. “@Wack100 YOUR MAMMY RAISED A B*TCH. MS. GLAYS RAISED A SAVAGE,” she wrote.
Just last month the rapper pleaded guilty to one of his charges, throwing away the life sentence that the rapper was initially facing. However, Shiesty is still facing up to 20 years based on his conviction.

Pooh Shiesty’s Sentencing Date In His Federal Firearms Case Has Been Set
Earlier this year, Pooh Shiesty struck a plea deal in his federal firearms case, and as a result, he was able to avoid a life sentence in the case. The incident at hand occurred back in October 2020 and it found the rapper being accused of shooting a man in the buttock during a meet-up to exchange sneakers and marijuana. With Shiesty’s decision to accept the plea deal, the prosecution in the case is only recommending a sentence of 97 months — which comes out to just shy of over eight years — for the firearms case. With it remains to be seen if he will receive that, a date for his sentencing has been set in the case.
Shiesty will face Judge K. Michael Moore to hear his sentence in the federal firearms case on April 7 at 2 p.m. ET, as noted by HipHopDX. His sentence will be handed down to him at Miami’s United States Courthouse. While the prosecution is recommending the eight-year-ish sentence, Magistrate Judge Lauren Fleischer Louis previously advised Shiesty that he could end up receiving more time than that despite what was agreed on.

Pooh Shiesty Was Denied Bond After He Accepted A Plea Deal In His Federal Robbery Case
Since last summer, Pooh Shiesty has been locked up for two separate incidents. One of them is a federal robbery case that stems from October, when the “Back In Blood” rapper and another individual allegedly shot two people during a meet-up for sneakers and marijuana. Earlier this month, he accepted a plea deal in the case which helps him avoid a potential life sentence. In the deal, prosecution and defense agreed to a sentence of 97 months for the charge. However, Magistrate Judge Lauren Fleischer Louis, who presides over the case, noted that his sentence could surpass the suggested sentence. After Pooh Shiesty accepted the plea deal, his team filed to receive bond, but that didn’t work out.
Judge Louis turned down the request in a court order dated January 13 after holding an evidentiary hearing earlier this week. The rappers’ attorneys pitched a strict bond plan that included “unspecified monitoring, limited visitation, and drug and alcohol treatment,” but she was not sold on it. Judge Louis agreed that the plea deal will result in him facing less severe charges, however, she noted that Pooh Shiesty was not entitled to bond and mentioned his superstar status in the public eye.
The rapper is also facing gun charges for a 2020 Memorial Day incident that took place at the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami.
