Ice Spice Reminds Us “Barbie Ain’t Nun To Play About” In BTS Music Video Photo Dumps

Many artists would require a long break after achieving the feats that Isis Gaston – better known as Ice Spice – has crossed off her bucket list over the past few months. Instead, the 23-year-old continues to outdo herself, making major moves this New Music Friday (June 23) by unleashing her second collaboration with Nicki Minaj for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie. The upcoming film (starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling) has one of the most impressive soundtracks of the year, with Dua Lipa, Lizzo, and PinkPanthress among those featured.

We won’t actually see the highly anticipated project hit theatres until July, but ahead of that, Spice and Minaj have shared their “Barbie World” joint effort. It boldly reimagines Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” from 1997 with flirtatious bars that the Queen and Princess of Rap are both known for. Hours after the song dropped at midnight, the New York native’s Instagram feed lit up with behind-the-scenes photos from her video shoot with Minaj. “Barbie ain’t nun to play bout ,” Spice wrote in her caption.

The photos included show the redhead wearing an ultra-tiny Chanel-style skirt suit set over a bra with tons of miniature shoes and purses attached to it. She poses inside a beautiful pink vintage car throughout most of the post, though near the end Spice did sneak in a few cheeky thirst traps.

All the images couldn’t make it into one carousel, so Spice returned shortly after to reveal more BTS from “Barbie World.” In the comments, both Flo Milli and Lil Tjay have dropped by to show love to their friend, the latter specifically noting how bodacious her booty is.

Furthermore, she recently sat down with Math Hoffa on his My Expert Opinion podcast. During their conversation, they spoke about the 26-year-old’s father Benzino and how she will always stand by and support him. Sure, they’ve had their differences in the past, but ones that that they’ve always been able to reconcile. In fact, Coi Leray said that said loyalty runs so deep that she would turn down an Eminem collab if he didn’t want it to happen, given their historic beef.

Sometimes she sends out tweets with references related to the controversial group, but more recently, Doja debuted a new look that has her looking ethereal and eerie in tandem.

On Monday (June 19) night, the “Need To Know” hitmaker went Live on Instagram as tens of thousands of fans tuned in. While sitting in a pitch-black room, Doja’s face was illuminated by a spotlight, revealing that she was rocking a platinum blonde wig with black streaks at the moment, under what appeared to be a cowboy hat. It was her makeup that caught our attention, specifically her eyes. Not only did Doja put in a set of blood-red contacts, but she also added eyeshadow in the same colour beneath to intensify the look.

Of course, we’ve since found out that the Barbadian starlet is expecting again, and by our calculations, it likely won’t be long until she gives birth for the second time. While he’s still only got one mini-me to look after, the New York-born rapper is celebrating his second Father’s Day. Earlier on Sunday (June 18) afternoon, his Instagram feed lit up with a photo dump showing some of his favourite moments from being a dad so far.

“EVERYDAY FATHER’S DAY ,” Rocky wrote in his caption. He began with a comedic video of him aggressively brushing his teeth with bubblegum pink paste. Ever the king of colour coordination, he matched his mouth care with the pink polka dot bonnet worn on his head. Immediately after, the Testing hitmaker added a heartwarming photo – like captured by Rihanna – of him and RZA comfortably, albeit haphazardly, sleeping in bed together. It’s about that time. Drake will finally hit the road at the end of the month for his first tour in five years. He, alongside 21 Savage, will embark on the It’s All A Blur tour across North America. There’s no doubt that this is one of the most anticipated tours of the year, especially since Drake’s delivered three full-length projects within fourteen months of each other. However, the rapper is evidently experiencing bittersweet emotions as he says farewell to his hometown for the summer.

Over the weekend, Drake shared a heartfelt message to the city that raised him. Explaining that it’s been nearly 6 years since he left Toronto for such a lengthy period of time, he bid farewell before hitting the road. “Goodbye, my beautiful city,” he wrote. “I haven’t left for this reason in almost 6 years, but I hope I can make you proud once again. Drake kicks off the It’s All A Blur tour in Memphis on June 29th, 2023. However, before leaving Toronto, the rapper shared a photo dump on Tuesday (June 13th) of his last-minute tour prep. The first photo sees Drake hopping for toiletries at a Shoppers Drug Mart in a Toronto Transit Commission employee jacket.
