Ice Spice Shuts Down Ozempic Rumors With Intense Workout Video

It goes without saying that Ice Spice is a bona fide baddie. Recently, however, some critics have noticed that she’s slimmed down and accused her of using weight loss drugs like Ozempic to do so. The “BB Belt” rapper denies this, telling fans on Twitter Spaces earlier this month that her weight loss is simply the result of a healthy diet and consistent workout routine.

“B*tch, I wish y’all never learned the word Ozempic,” she said at the time. “That’s one thing I wish. Oh my God! Like what even is Ozempic? Wha the f*ck is that? Genuinely, what is that? You lazy a** b*tches never heard of a gym?” she also added. “It’s called eating healthy. It’s called being on tour. Like what the hell. Maybe if I was sitting at home all day it’d be easier to stay big.”

Ice Spice Is Committed To “Beatin Them Allegations”

Unfortunately, this did little to quell body shamers. Yesterday, however, she hopped online to prove that she’s committed to shutting them down once and for all. “We beatin them allegations bae,” she captioned a clip of herself in the gym. Clearly, the Bronx-born performer has worked hard on her figure and also doesn’t appreciate haters getting it twisted. Ice Spice isn’t the only artist spending time in the gym lately either, as Lizzo also went viral this month for her physical transformation. She shared a before and after video, emphasizing how her time in the gym has paid off.

As for what else Ice Spice is up to these days, she’s currently preparing to wrap up her world tour. She also unleashed her eagerly anticipated debut album Y2K last month. It’s since earned mixed reviews. What do you think of Ice Spice showing off her gym routine as critics accuse her of using Ozempic? Ice Spice Explains What’s Behind Her Recent Weight Loss, And No, It’s Not Ozempic

In 2024, some observers have noticed that Ice Spice is looking thinner than she did in 2023. Inevitably and unfortunately, the rapper has been subject to speculation about the cause of the change. Given that diabetes drug Ozempic has become popular as a weight-loss tool, some believe that’s where Ice turned, but now she’s saying that’s not the case.

As XXL notes, during an X Spaces session yesterday (August 19), Ice said (find the audio here), “I wish y’all never learned the word ‘Ozempic.’ That’s one thing I wish. Oh my god, like, what even is Ozempic? What the f*ck is that? Like, genuinely, what is that, bro? Like, you lazy [expletive] never heard of a gym? It’s called the gym, it’s called eating healthy, it’s called being on tour. Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting home all day, it would be easier to stay big.”

As Ice noted in that quote, she has a lot going on at the moment. She recently launched her Y2K! World Tour and released her Y2K! album. She’s already looking forward, too, saying in a recent interview, “I am definitely so ready to start another album. So that’s great. I know my label is gonna be really excited to hear that. I don’t wanna start teasing the next album, we in Y2K!.”

Ice Spice Slams Ozempic Rumors While Finally Addressing Her Recent Weight Loss

Ice Spice hopped on X (formerly Twitter) Spaces on Monday night to discuss her recent weight loss and shoot down the rumors that she’s on Ozempic. She says her draining Y2K World Tour schedule has motivated her to stay healthy. She still has shows left in Houston, Atlanta, Miami, and more cities over the next two weeks.

“I actually came on here to talk about that real quick,” she began. “Cuz I was like, b*tch, I wish y’all never learned the word Ozempic. That’s one thing I wish. Oh my God! Like what even is Ozempic? Wha the f*ck is that? Genuinely, what is that?” Instead, she says she’s been working out and staying healthy. “You lazy ass b*tches never heard of a gym?” she questioned. “It’s called eating healthy. It’s called being on tour. Like what the hell. Maybe if I was sitting at home all day it’d be easier to stay big.”

Fans on social media weren’t all buying the explanation. “Normally ppl who be in the gym so much, gain muscle from working out Idk looks flabby to me,” one user wrote. Another wrote: “Btc you have no muscle growth, stop it.. you’re a$$ would poke out, not drip down..”

Ice Spice Shoots Down Ozempic Rumors

During the X Space, Spice added that she has been feeling under the weather from all the traveling, as well as a “big ass blunt” she had just smoked. “But I am a little sick, I’m not gone to lie. Can you hear it?” she asked. “Yeah that big ass blunt did my throat foul.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Ice Spice on HotNewHipHop.

WATCH: Lizzo Responds to ‘South Park’ Ozempic Episode That Rebrands Weight Loss Drug in Rapper’s Name

Lizzo Responds to ‘South Park’ Ozempic Episode That Rebrands Weight Loss Drug in Rapper’s Name

South Park spares no one, and not even Lizzo is safe. The rapper just shared her reaction to a recent episode of South Park that satirized the Ozempic weight loss drug craze by using her name and body positivity brand as an alternative solution. Yup, they did that, and you have to see her stitch reaction on her Instagram account @lizzobeeating to believe it.

On Friday (May 24), the animated comedy series released “The End of Obesity” on Paramount+. In the episode, South Park character Eric Cartman seeks a prescription for Ozempic to lose weight, but when he can’t afford the drug and his insurance won’t cover it, his doctor offers an unconventional solution … Called LIZZO. Wild.

“I’m going to write you a prescription for Lizzo,” the doctor says in the episode. “She’s a really good singer who talks about body positivity, and just being happy with the way you look. I want you to listen to Lizzo five times a day, and watch her videos just before bedtime. I’m afraid you’ll have to be on Lizzo for the rest of your life.”

In seemingly all good fun, Lizzo used the joke to her advantage and responded to the episode with a TikTok video in which she watches a portion of the episode. “That’s crazy. I just feel like, damn, I’m really that b—-,” she says in the video. “I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f— to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f— I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years.”

On a more serious note, Lizzo recently discussed her mental health amid ongoing lawsuits and public criticism. “I’m the happiest I’ve been in 10 months,” she wrote on Instagram. “The strange thing about depression is you don’t know you’re in it until you’re out of it. I’m definitely not all the way as carefree as I used to be.. But the dark cloud that followed me every day is finally clearing up. My smile reaches my eyes again and that’s a win. I thought my album was finished.. but I gotta get some of these good vibes off in a banger real quick. Thanks for your patience.”

Lizzo also faced scrutiny over the past year due to a harassment lawsuit filed by three former dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, in August 2023. The lawsuit accuses Lizzo and her company, Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc., of various legal wrongdoings and includes detailed allegations. In response to the lawsuit, Lizzo denied the claims on Twitter, calling them “false allegations” and “sensationalized stories.”

Lizzo Reacts To Her ‘Worst Fear’ Of Being Referenced On ‘South Park’ Becoming A Reality

The Simpsons are jokingly known for seemingly predicting the future. On the other hand, South Park‘s strongest quality is the writers’ ability to humorously spin current events. In its South Park: The End Of Obesity, the comedy took on weight loss drug Ozempic’s rise and Lizzo’s body positivity advocacy.

Yesterday (May 25), the “Pink” singer took to Instagram to share her reaction to being mentioned in the special. “My worst fear has been actualized,” she said. “I’ve been referenced in a ‘South Park’ episode. I’m so scared.”

To summarizes the segment Lizzo reacted to, Kyle’s mother (Sheila Broflovski) and Stan’s mother (Sharon Marsh) discuss Sheila’s past concerns around her weight. Instead of taking to Ozempic or Mounjaro, Sheila opted for the fictitious diet suppressor, Lizzo. Rather than losing weight, users shake their desire to exercise or care of others opinions.

“That’s crazy,” she said. “I just feel like, ‘Damn. I’m really that b*tch.’ I’m really that b*tch. I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f*ck to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f*ck I am. And put it on their cartoon, that’s been around for twenty-five years. I’m really that b*tch. And I showed y’all how to not give a f*ck and I’m going to keep showing y’all not to give a f*ck.”

She closed out her reaction video by singing the episode faux jingle.

“South Park” Skewers Lizzo And Body Positivity In New TV Special

South Park has built its reputation on mocking celebrities. The show holds nothing sacred, and has spent the last two plus decades taking down everything from politics to organized religion. Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the show’s creators, have a knack for knowing when to focus on a given topic to elicit maximum comedy. They did it again with their latest special, “The End of Obesity.” As one can infer from the title, South Park is taking aim at the recent Ozempic craze, and the body positivity promoted by artists like Lizzo.

In the special, all local women turn to Ozempic while claiming that they’re exercising to lose weight. Cartman wants to get his hands on the drug, but since he can’t afford it, he’s prescribed Lizzo instead. Lizzo, in this context, is another way of saying “body positivity.” The running joke throughout the special is that taking “Lizzo” allows you to eat and do whatever you want without feeling out of shape. “Lizzo” is something that allows you to think that you’re beautiful just the way you are. As with most absurd ideas on South Park, things go south. There are side effects to taking “Lizzo,” and they are predictably messy.

Lizzo Is A “Substitute” For Ozempic In “South Park”

Lizzo has had a difficult couple years in the public eye. The singer was once adored as a pop culture force, but allegations of disability discrimination, harassment, and body shaming from former backup dancers has shifted the public’s perception. Multiple lawsuits were brought against the “Truth Hurts” singer. Some were dismissed, but others, most notably those pertaining to sexual harassment, were upheld by the court. Lizzo denied these allegations outright. She claimed they were “too outrageous” to ignore, though.

Lizzo defended her character in a statement uploaded to X. “With passion comes hard work and high standards,” she explained. “Sometimes I have to make hard decisions. It’s never my intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable or like they aren’t valued as an important part of the team. I am not the villain that people and the media have portrayed me to be… There is nothing I take more seriously than the respect we deserve as women in the world.”

Lizzo experienced severe depression in the wake of these lawsuits. She recently hopped on Instagram to let her fans know that she’s happier than she’s been in months. “The strange thing about depression is you don’t know you’re in it until you’re out of it,” she wrote. “I’m definitely not all the way as carefree as I used to be.. But the dark cloud that followed me every day is finally clearing up.” It’s unlikely the South Park special is going to help alleviate said cloud.

Kelly Osbourne Applauds Weight-Loss Drug Ozempic as Alternative to Gym Workouts

Screen Shot 2024 02 18 at 9.46.22 AM

Kelly Osbourne, the 39-year-old daughter of iconic rocker Ozzy Osbourne, has stirred controversy with her recent comments praising the weight-loss drug Ozempic as a preferable alternative to traditional gym workouts.

In an exclusive interview with E! News at Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala red carpet, the aspiring singer shared her support for individuals who opt to use Ozempic, a medication primarily prescribed for diabetes management, as a means of shedding excess weight.

“I think it’s amazing,” Kelly expressed to E! News. “There are a million ways to lose weight, why not do it through something that isn’t as boring as working out?”

However, Kelly’s endorsement of Ozempic was not without criticism of its detractors. She suggested that those who speak negatively about the drug may secretly desire its benefits or feel frustrated by its high cost, which can exceed $1,000 per month.

“People hate on it because they want to do it. And the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or pissed off that they can’t afford it,” Kelly asserted.

Despite acknowledging the drug’s expense, Kelly emphasized her belief that Ozempic’s effectiveness justifies its cost. She anticipates that as its popularity grows, its price may become more accessible to a broader demographic.

“Unfortunately, right now it’s something that is very expensive but it eventually won’t be because it actually works,” Kelly remarked.

Kelly’s advocacy for Ozempic comes in the wake of her own struggles with weight loss and body image. Following the birth of her son Sidney in 2022, Kelly admitted to feeling pressure to shed the postpartum weight, describing it as an obsession.

“I’m going to be honest, I felt the pressure of after having the baby to lose the baby weight,” Kelly revealed to E! News last fall. “It became my mission. I was obsessed with it because I didn’t even want to get brought into the conversation, I just wanted to be left alone.”

Kelly disclosed that her experience with Ozempic resulted in significant weight loss, with her reportedly dropping 100 pounds. While she acknowledges the drug’s role in her weight loss journey, her endorsement has sparked debate about the broader implications of using pharmaceutical interventions for cosmetic purposes.

50 Cent Explains How He Lost An Impressive 43 Pounds And No, It Wasn’t Ozempic

Back in May 2023, 50 Cent declared he was on a weight-loss mission ahead of his Final Lap Tour, saying, “We gonna do the tour and stuff like that, right? So I’m back working out like that. I always work out, but it’s different when I gotta start running and all that sh*t. Matter of fact, I’ma show y’all [on] Live every day. Yeah, I’ma do five miles in front of ’em every day. You gonna see me come back down.”

Well, it’s been less than a year and indeed, 50 has made some significant progress. The rapper has sported a noticeably slimmer physique lately, which had some thinking that he used Ozempic as part of his weight-loss journey. In a new video shared last night (January 24), though, he revealed what’s actually going on: He just put in the good old-fashioned work.

50 revealed he has lost 43 pounds, saying, “Everybody talking about weight loss. I was in the gym, I was working the f*ck out, man. And they say it was Ozempic. I was running, I was running. I was doing what I had to do. You see me on tour, I ran around. I was 253 pounds, I came down, I’m 210 right now, right. How you feel about it? You tell me how you feel about it later, right.”

Check out the video below.
