Drake Sings Argentina’s World Cup Song At Lollapalooza

Drake went viral recently for signing Argentina’s unofficial World Cup song during his Lollapalooza Argentina performance. Moreover, it’s not surprising to see the 6 God show some love to last year’s victors. After all, he bet on the team’s victory, although he lost because they didn’t win within 90 minutes as he anticipated. Still, he riled up the jubilant crowd and only had to sing the first word of the track “Muchachos” for them to follow along. For those curious, the track is fully titled “Muchachos, ahora nos volvimos a ilusionar” and is by La Mosca Tse-Tse.

In the social media clip, the Canadian superstar is wrapping up one of his songs, addressing the crowd. “By the way, that was probably like one of the best moments of my career,” he remarked. “Thank you. I feel like I really made it.” Then, they begin screams of “Argentina!” that quickly ramp up. At that moment, Drizzy leads the crowd into the song that carried them through the legendary soccer- sorry, fútbol tournament to victory. Furthermore, the song is specifically dedicated to some of the nation’s greatest players, like Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, and Gabriel Batistuta.

Drake Sings Argentina’s Unofficial World Cup Song

Unfortunately, the “Nice For What” rapper faced some stronger controversy and criticism for his performance. According to both Latin American news sources and festival-goer testimonies, Drake came out 15 minutes late for his set. Not only that, but he reportedly blocked the performance’s livestream (which was allegedly agreed on) just minutes before taking the stage. Such a decision goes against the standard of live-streaming Lollapalooza performances. Also, he reportedly only played for 40 minutes, well below the standard headliner slot of about an hour and a half.

In fact, the 36-year-old dealt with a lot of pushback for his live appearances recently. The most salient example of that has more to do with logistics, as people are outraged at the insane ticket prices for his tour with 21 Savage. Despite all that, it’s Drake we’re talking about, and it’s probably beyond his control. With that in mind, maybe his appreciation of Argentina’s people, greatness, and culture goes beyond festival mishaps. But that’s not for us to decide. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake.

Drake Reminds Instagram To Wish Him A Happy Father’s Day

The 6 God just posted a cryptic, odd, and slightly hilarious message on social media for all his “sons” out there. Drake just published an Instagram post reminding his followers to wish him a happy Father’s Day on June 18th. While many might wonder why the Canadian rapper and singer is looking three months ahead, he’s known to post some crazy captions. Moreover, he likely also referred to how many people copy his style or how many rappers he’s “fathered.” Regardless of intent, context, or the degree of sarcasm, it still came off as a pretty funny observation and comment.

“A lot of them boys you entertain wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for me,” the 36-year-old wrote in his IG caption. “So don’t forget to wish me a happy fathers day June 18th.” Furthermore, Drizzy’s picture in the post is a simple one of him with an adorable dog. Of course, Drake is one of the most highly regarded artists right now, especially when it comes to respect from his peers. While a lot of people might clown the rapper online, there’s clearly a level of skill that his industry colleagues often champion.

Drake Asks His Instagram To Congratulate Him On Father’s Day… In Three Months

“I would say he’s the greatest of all time,” Dipset legend Jim Jones said of the “Rich Flex” rapper. “I would just give that to him. And I mean, there’s a lot of people from the beginning and people that invented hip-hop, I know. But the greatest of all time, it’s a big statement. The relevancy that he keeps showing year after year, hit after hit, record after record. Any song that he has put out has seemed to go multiple platinum. That’s never happened before in history.

“Drake has not exited and he’s still going strong to this day and it doesn’t seem like he’s stopping no time soon...” Jones concluded. However the conversation around him turns next, no one can deny that Drake’s stamp on the game is deep. Regardless, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news, updates, career achievements, and far-reaching influence and impact from Drake.

Drake Regrets Calling Out Ex-Girlfriends In His Music

It seems the Certified Lover Boy wishes he spoke on his losses romantically in a different light. Drake recently opened up about regretting how he aired out ex-girlfriends in his music in his recent interview with Lil Yachty. Moreover, he specifically mentioned that one former partner in particular made him rethink how his lyrics could affect their lives. Of course, this was also the same interview where the 6 God pondered a “graceful exit” from the rap game (don’t worry, it’s not happening yet). With that in mind, maybe the Canadian superstar is considering the different ways in which his legacy will endure- and what he could do now to solidify it the way he wants to.

“I hate hearing that s**t,” he said of his track “Weston Road Flows, particularly a line in which he said he’d retire at 35. Furthermore, now he views the proclamation as pretty ageist. “I heard it the other night. I think that and some times when I’ve said girls’ names in songs, maybe those are the two things that I look back on and I’m like, ‘Maybe I coulda done without, like, s***ting on people for age or disrupting somebody’s life.’ The lyrics are never with ill intent, but I had somebody tell me one time, ‘You know, it’s not necessarily what you’re saying about me, it’s the fact that you said it.’”

Drake Discusses Ex-Girlfriends With Lil Yachty

Moreover, he elaborated on why that conversation with his ex led him to reflect on what other effect his bars potentially have. “Just in the sense like, ‘You don’t know what it does to me. You don’t know who my boyfriend is at the time or you don’t know what my family knows or doesn’t know. And if you express any form of discontent for me and call me by name in a song, then all of a sudden I’m left to pick up the pieces of my own life that I’ve tried to build up for myself.’ So I’ve tried my best to stop doing that. But I like to be honest in music too, so that one’s a push and pull.”

Meanwhile, the topic of retirement is one Drizzy’s often visited, although these relationship regrets are brand-new (at least publicly). Speaking to Nicki Minaj on her Queen Radio show in August 2022, he said that releasing music is still the most exciting thing in the world. “I’m not at that point where I even consider that being an option,” he shared to Onika. “One of the best feelings I have in my life is completing a song or project. And by the way, those things are painful as well. A lot of nerves, a lot of confidence wavering. But I feel like I’m reaching a new level of fun.” Let us know what you think of his reflections down below and return to HNHH for the latest on Drake.

Drake’s Impressive New Hairdo Rocks The Logo Of His Label And Fashion Imprint OVO

Drake‘s busy after the release of his collaborative album with 21 Savage, Her Loss. He won big at the Grammys even though he didn’t submit his music; he settled a lawsuit with Vogue after their mischievous fake magazine made during the record’s promotional cycle.

Now, the rapper got a new hairdo. His hairstylist Brie Marie shared the look on social media, and it’s no joke. He flexes a braid design similar to the logo of his label and fashion imprint OVO.

“I already hear y’all now lol ‘Drake Got an Owl Braided in his head,’” she wrote in the caption. “It’s only right to make this a reality. I’d be lying if I say I don’t shock myself. [handshake emoji] TIME AND TIME Again. God thank you, you’ve truly blessed me.”

In an interview with Li Yachty, he said about Drake, “I said, ‘Man, I remember there was a point in time when you were about to release music, and everyone was like, ‘Man, I’m about to call my ex. Like, oh man, I’m finna cry,”” he said. “That was a time period. And that’s when people thought when Drake was finna drop, you thought like, ‘Oh man, I’m about to get back with my ex-girlfriend.’ You felt like emotions were about to be pulled out of you.”

Lil Wayne Speaks On Supporting Drake From The Jump

Sometimes it’s a bit tough to talk about other rappers due to the genre’s competitive nature, but that spirit can also garner a lot of respect in the game. Lil Wayne recently spoke about supporting Drake since the onset of his career on his recent Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe. While Weezy’s already started Tha Carter VI season with a new single, he also took time to reminisce on one of his protegés. During his conversation with Zane Lowe, the New Orleans rap titan praised Drake’s persistence, vision, determination, and hunger to best his competition. Given their incredible run through Young Money and beyond, Wayne clearly placed his bets well.

“It was easy for me,” the 40-year-old said of nurturing the career of the rising 6 God. “It was obvious. I saw what he could be and would be. It was easy for me to keep motivating him and letting him know what it is. You have to see it to believe it. It was very simple. Doing a song with me. It was just that simple. Him knowing ‘I can go blow for blow with you on a joint’ — that was his motivation. That’s his chip.” Even in normal conversation, Weezy drops some crazy bars, and that joint line is no different. Anyway, his words make sense given that the Canadian superstar always had somewhat of a chip on his shoulder. While many took time to appreciate his artistic and commercial contributions to the game, his will and skill were evident from the jump to artists like Tunechi. Of course, Drake was the first, and not the last one, to thank him for his vision.

Lil Wayne Praises Drake & Drops New Single

Also, the “Let The Beat Build” MC spoke during that interview on preferring creativity over competition in hip-hop. Sure, it might slightly undercut some of his praise of Drizzy here, but preference isn’t the same as dismissal. “This is creativity,” he remarked. “No one gets behind a mic, approaches a song, and says ‘I’m making a song so it can be better than this one.’ If we all approached it that way, yeah it’d be a competition. This is creativity. Any individual who creates, this is their individuality. They’re putting their growth and creativity out there for you to enjoy. But we also know this is what the world does, so we have no problem with it.”

Meanwhile, fans are as excited as ever for Wayne’s next studio project. “Everybody already know… you already know… come on… it’s Carter VI,” he stated about his next album. “I never even imagined. That didn’t even sound right years ago. I can’t believe we’re at Carter VI. My fans know I give my all. Go listen to my last feature and know it’s gonna be a thousand times better than that.” As always, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news, updates, and greatness from Lil Wayne.

XXXTENTACION Trial: Drake’s Armed Guards Accused Of Blocking Subpoena

The defense team in XXXTENTACION’s murder trial accused Drake and his camp of blocking a subpoena. Moreover, codefendant Dedrick Williams’ lawyer, Mauricio Padilla, filed a motion in Broward accusing Drizzy’s guards of dismissing the court order. According to the Miami Herald, the Friday (February 17) motion also includes a request for the rapper to attend a deposition to detail his involvement in X’s death. While many in the court seem to dismiss his supposed involvement, the defense team is adamant about needing his testimony. However, Broward Judge Michael Usan nulled an order on Tuesday (February 14) that would’ve called Drake for a virtual deposition on February 24.

Furthermore, the “Nice For What” artist faced contempt in court if the order remained and he didn’t show. Still, Padilla retained the ability to subpoena Drake after Judge Usan’s order. As such, he issued yet another motion asking authorities to require a deposition from the rapper. Also, he wants him held in contempt of court if he misses it. Even though a lack of evidence suggests otherwise, the attorney maintained that Drake had a hand in X’s death.

“The court explained the importance of balancing the rights of the defendants to investigate this first degree murder case properly with Aubrey Drake Graham’s privacy issues,” the motion read. “It was clear by the court’s ruling that he expected for the parties to work together and that despite entering the order vacating, that he expected the deposition to take place.” In addition, Padilla stated that Drake’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, refused to accept a subpoena for him to testify. Moreover, he claimed that armed guards at Drake’s California home prevented a servicer from handing the order.

Meanwhile, Cohen stated that Padilla exhibited a “lack of foundation” in his efforts. Furthermore, Law & Crime footage from Monday court proceedings (February 13) illuminates the process. For example, he explained that Padilla sent Drake an unsealed Zoom link and didn’t detail its conduction. Therefore, Cohen labeled the subpoena as “procedurally defective.” Whether Judge Usan accepts Padilla’s new motion on Tuesday (February 21) remains unknown. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest updates on Drake in the XXXTENTACION murder trial.
