The internet is always buzzing about Saweetie—the star known for her hit song “My Type.” However, there are rumors about her and Offset, a member of the chart-topping group Migos and husband of Cardi B. Saweetie is said to be dating these days; the internet can’t help but bring up her relationship with Quavo, Offset’s groupmate and cousin.

Saweetie and Offset were rumored to have a romantic relationship in early 2021. However, both parties denied the rumors and claimed they were just friends. In March 2021, Saweetie announced that she had broken up with her boyfriend, Quavo, after two years of dating. Shortly after the announcement, TMZ posted a video of Quavo and Saweetie getting into a physical altercation in an elevator.

Following the video’s release, rumors circulated that Saweetie had cheated on Quavo with Offset. However, Saweetie and Offset denied the allegations. Despite the denials, fans speculate about the alleged relationship between Saweetie and Offset. Some have even gone as far as to create conspiracy theories about the situation.

Quavo & Takeoff’s Song Fueled Rumors

Soon after, Quavo’s new album with Takeoff, Only Built For Infinity Links, was released in October 2022, and fans believed that the song “Messy” was Quavo was alluding to an affair. Although Quavo did not mention specific names, many fans believe he was referring to his cousin Offset sleeping with his girlfriend Saweetie, implying that it was the reason behind the Migo’s sudden break up in November 2022.

Cardi B, Offset’s wife, was unusually silent on the matter. The rapping queen has been known to speak out on speculations about her personal life. However, Cardi B explained on The Jason Lee Podcast that she didn’t want to feed into the rumors. “You know why I was quiet?” Cardi asked. “I was quiet because one thing I’m gonna do, I’m gonna find out the truth. And you know that I was finding out that truth.”

What the Parties Have Said (Or Not Said)

So far, neither Saweetie nor Offset has issued a public statement addressing the rumors. Saweetie, who has over 15 million followers on Instagram, has posted on her social media since the scandal broke out. Still, none of them directly refer to Offset or the allegations. Offset has been active on Twitter, but his tweets have not mentioned Saweetie or the rumors. He has retweeted some positive messages from fans and promoted music-related projects. Still, his silence on the topic has fueled speculation that he may be trying to avoid the controversy.

Offset and Quavo are not only bandmates but also cousins. They grew up together in Georgia and had been making music together for over a decade. Their close relationship is apparent in their music. Their relationship has been the subject of various rumors and controversies. The most recent dispute between the two was during the 2023 Grammys. According to TMZ, the groupmates argued with one another backstage. All this reportedly happened before Quavo went on stage to honor Takeoff, the late third member of Migos, during the “In Memoriam” portion of the Grammys. However, Offset extinguished rumors that he and his fellow Migos member got into an altercation, saying, “What tf look like fighting my brother.”

Saweetie and Quavo’s relationship was filled with drama. One of the most controversial moments occurred in March 2021 when a video surfaced online showing the couple in a physical altercation in an elevator. The video sparked outrage and concern among fans, with many calling for Quavo to be held accountable for his actions.

Following the incident, Saweetie released a statement on Twitter, saying that she had endured “too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes.” She also said she was “emotionally checked out” of the relationship. If there is one basketball family everyone knows, it is the Ball family. LaMelo Ball, the youngest of three brothers, is a point/shooting guard for the Charlotte Hornets. Ball was the first-round third pick in the 2020 NBA draft and was selected by the team. Further, he grew up playing basketball his whole life and was a top prospect since his Chino Hills days. His family and supporters knew that he would go on to be selected quickly in the draft, as he also has his older brother, Lonzo, in the NBA.

Puma Contract

Puma has partnered with the basketball star, allowing Ball to have his signature shoes with the brand. The reported value is worth around $100 million, with no known time stamp. Ball said this about the deal: “I am really excited to be joining the Puma family… I believe the brand is the perfect partner for me because Puma will allow me to just be myself.” He added, “I want to be 100-percent authentic whether that’s playing basketball or showing off my personal style and that’s what I want to do with Puma.” With the company allowing LaMelo creative freedom and co-designing the shoes, he made the MB.01 and later on the MB.02. 5. Puma MB.02 Rick & Morty

We have the second version of Ball’s Rick & Morty collaboration at No. 5. February 2023 was the release for these shoes. They come at a retail price of $140. These versions of the shoe are called MB.02 Rick & Morty. The colorway of these shoes matches the vibe of the show. On one, we have Morty, with the shoe being pink and safety yellow with pink laces. The other has Rick, purple and Elektro green with purple laces. Each character is placed on the tongue of the shoe. They appear on the soles of the shoes as well. Additionally, we have “M.E.L.O.” on the backs of the shoe with his logo.

4. Puma MB.02 “Slime”

With No. 4, we have the MB.02 “Slimes.” The shoes were released on December 21, 2022, in collaboration with Nickelodeon. They are coming in at a retail price of $140. Inspired by Nickelodeon’s slime, the colors of the shoes reference the goo. The bottom half of the shoe has the color green, and the top half features a neon yellow. In addition, the design of his logo and stripes on the side are colored orange, representing Nickelodeon’s logo color. 

On the bottom of the shoe, you can find the word slime imprinted. On the toe cap, you can see the use of a slime effect in green. Inside the shoes, you can find a slime pattern again with the Puma logo on one side and the Nickelodeon slime wording on the other. 

3. Puma MB.01 Rick & Morty

With the third spot, we have the first and original design of the Rick & Morty collaboration. Debuting on February 18, 2022, this was LaMelo’s first collab shoe. It retails at $135. We have a Nrgy Rose colorway on one shoe with the Rick & Morty portal below the tongue. The shoe’s tongue has Ball’s logo in Jasmine Green. Of course, the other shoe comes in Jasmine Green with another portal below the tongue and the logo again in Nrgy Rose. On the inside of the tongue, we can see Rick on the green shoe and Morty on the rose shoe.

2. Puma MB.01 “Queen City”

With the second pair on the list, we have the MB.01 “Queen City” shoe. Releasing on March 18, 2022, the shoe retails for $125. The colorways for these shoes are Purple Glimmer and Blue Atoll. The shoes are purple with hints of blue throughout the tongue and on the words “Not From Here.” We also see the “M.E.L.O.” in blue on the back of the shoe. Further, we also see “1 of 1” on the tongue tag and the sides of the toes. 

1. Puma MB.01 Low “UFO”

With the No. 1 spot on the list, we have the MB.01 Low “UFO.” With a retail price of $120, they were released on June 16, 2022. That makes this the cheapest pair on the list. The official colorway names for these shoes are High Rise and Aqua Green. Most of the shoe is a High Rise color, with the laces included. Additionally, we have aqua green used as a liner for the top of the shoes and as the color of the outsoles. Again we can see the “1 of 1” on the tongue tag and “M.E.LO.” on the backs of the shoe. 

The Future of the Puma MB

Ball has many years to go on his NBA journey, and in the future, we might see more colorations added to his collections. Above all, we also might see more collaborations in the future. Altogether, Ball keeps the shoes pretty simple with the colors and design, but we’ll see if that will change.

Drake & His Dad: A Look At The Rapper’s Relationship With Dennis Graham

Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, has defended the artist amid recent accusations of trolling. The Rap icon recently teased a new song titled “Rescue Me,” which samples Kim Kardashian talking about her divorce from Kanye West. “I didn’t come this far just to come this far, and not be happy,” Kardashian says on the track. Quickly, social media users accused Drake of trying to provoke Ye. However, Drizzy’s father stepped in. “Drake is not trolling anyone,” Drake’s dad wrote on Instagram. “It’s just a song, why try and create a Kanye and Drake beef again?”

However, while Drake and West have a history of drama, so do Drake and his dad. The Grammy winner has rapped about their relationship and being an absentee father. Additionally, in some of his earlier tracks, Drake describes feeling neglected by his father. He also says Graham was largely absent during his childhood. In 2019, Graham responded, making headlines. In an interview with Nick Cannon on Power 106, he says Drake exaggerated the stories in his music to sell records.

Drizzy took to Instagram, feeling wounded and betrayed, saying, “Woke up today so hurt man.” He adds, “My father will say anything to anyone that’s willing to listen to him. It’s sad when family gets like this, but what can we really do. That’s the people we are stuck with… Every bar I ever spit was the truth, and the truth is hard for some people to accept.”

Drake has spoken candidly about the complex nature of his relationship with his dad and how it’s evolved. He describes his father as a flamboyant and charismatic man who is a talented musician in his own right. However, Drake has been honest about his challenges growing up with a father who wasn’t around. In the song “Look What You’ve Done,” Drake speaks about his father’s absence and lack of child support.

Despite that, Drake and Dennis have a loving relationship. The OVO icon discussed how the two discussed their past and worked to overcome their differences. In the song “6PM in New York,” Drake raps more warmly about his father. “My dad called me up knowing that I still listen / And he’s still got his foot out, guilt trippin’ / It’s been years though, I just learn to deal with it.” Graham is even featured in the music video for “Worst Behavior,” and the two also collaborated on a song called “Heat of the Moment.”

The father and son have continued to work on their relationship. In an interview with GQ, Drake discussed his father’s role in his life. He even says that Graham helped him develop his love for music. He added that his dad was present for the birth of his son, Adonis, and they’ve bonded over fatherhood.

Graham even released a music video for his own song “That on That.” The tune features him rapping and dancing in a barbershop, a casino, and other settings. The video went viral on social media and got mixed reviews. Some praised his energy; others criticized the video for being cheesy and dated.

A Father’s Love

Despite the negative feedback, Drake is proud of his father’s music career. He supports his efforts to establish himself as an artist. The two also seem much closer these days on a personal level. Graham even got significant ink of a younger Drizzy tattooed on his upper arm.

Drake hilariously roasted his dad over his bored expression on the tattoo. In an Instagram post, he wrote, “I was just sitting here thinking why you do me like this, we family!” followed by three laughing emojis. Graham laughed along, replying, “Hahaha I had 16 people try to straighten this out, they’re hurting me!”

Beyoncé’s Ivy Park x Adidas Partnership From Start To End

Looking into Beyoncé Ivy Park x Adidas Partnership from start to end conjures realizations about the fashion business. The extreme highs and lows behind the scenes never make it to tabloids. When Beyoncé merged a deal with Adidas years ago, it sprung hope for a successful run, like Yeezy with Kanye West before current events. However, even a superstar who sells out stadiums and arenas can’t fully crack the mass-produced fashion business.

In this feature, we’ll probe into the multimillion-dollar Beyoncé Ivy Park Adidas deal from its beginning to its unfortunate end. We’ll further note the milestones Beyoncé achieved every single year since 2019. Also, we’ll examine profit margins, losses, and how much she earned versus the yield for Adidas.

The Real Ivy Park x Adidas Beginning

Beyoncé officially launched Ivy Park in 2016. The brand floated as schematic activewear for her fans, the BeyHive. With the successful turnout, in April 2016, she partnered up with TopShop. Later, the deal faltered due to rumors surrounding the Topshop founder Sir Philip Green. The allegations threatened the brand’s success and Beyoncé’s star power image. She cut ties with them and acquired complete control of Ivy Park in November 2018.

Soon, tabloids broke the news of Beyoncé’s sole ownership of Ivy Park. Many fans and fashion lovers wondered where the journey would take the songstress. However, the real worry was who would be the brand’s newest partner. Then a year later, in 2019, Adidas on Instagram teased with the caption, “A new beginning.” On April 4, a press release described the deal between Ivy Park and Adidas. The release mentioned a new vision of delivering a collection highlighting a “performance to lifestyle.” Adidas accentuates Beyoncé as “a creative partner for the brand. ”

The partnership respects Beyoncé’s ownership of her company. Furthermore, the exciting deal introduced another aspect, signature footwear. Considering other artists who have also fostered lucrative streetwear deals, it was a good move. The likes of Tyler The Creator with Converse, Jay-Z with Reebok, and Missy Elliott with Adidas.

The First Collab Drop

Before the announcement in early 2016, Adidas’ official release was set for January 2020. Beyoncé teased a few products from the collection on her social media pages. The first drop had a monochromatic orange scheme on the sneakers, puffed-up jackets, and activewear sets. The orange and purple complimentary colors underlined the fashion era of the early 2020s.

Her rollout was a memorable pop culture moment. And as the queen of surprises, she set the bar high with the first drop. A week or so before the release, Beyoncé sent orange boxes to A-list celebrities, from models, actresses, actors, rappers, and other important players. The notable ones included Ellen DeGeneres, Angela Bassett, Kendall Jenner, Ciara, Missy Elliott, Reese Witherspoon, and Hailey Bieber.

On the day of the sale, after five minutes, the website crashed. It was announced that every product sold out on the website. Places such as Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Foot Locker, and Finish Line locations also sold-out of items in the U.S. However, as usual, the next day, everything sold out worldwide.

The Second Collab Drop

Months after the first collaboration, the silence between Adidas and Beyoncé was tumultuous. However, another press release statement revealed information on the next drops. The full schedule for the year 2020 included four capsule drops. All in intervals throughout the Fall season of 2020. Also, the collaborators mentioned the drop would consist of a treasured collection and newer designs.

The “Drip 2” collection rollout started with a cryptic message from Beyoncé. She simply put out “This Is My Park” releasing October 2020. With optics on the website, the line drew inspiration from the ’80s, drawing from the aerobics tape aesthetic from that era. This time, however, the design team opted for a five-color scheme palette—a green tint, dark green, yellow “canary” tint, mesa, and natural coral. Personally, the second drop was her best drop ever.

Bey sent personal boxes of her line to promote the drop to her celebrity friends. The artists and influencers who were the best pick included Kehlani, Kerry Washington, and Mo’Nique. The collection sold out in Adidas stores and ASOS retailers. During this drop, fans publicly expressed frustration with the process of buying and acquiring the products. Some were upset with the delays and lack of availability.

The Third Collaboration Drop

The “Halls of Ivy” drop in 2021 was more collaborative than all collections. The vision for this particular drop celebrated all people of races, backgrounds, colors, or creeds. You could tell from the designs and color choices that it would cater to adults and kids. The fifth capsule collection included four distinct footwear chromatism, 89 apparel trends, and approximately 11 accessory styles.

Queen B went the extra mile to add alterations to the drop. Ivy Park had IVY PARK x Adidas Savage, IVY PARK x Adidas Super Sleek “Chunky,” IVY PARK x Adidas Super Sleek Boot, and IVY PARK x Adidas UltraBOOST. Ivy Park mastered their objective to produce a casual wear and agility collection. The masterstroke was Beyoncé enlisting some of the Adidas alumnae.

The rollout of this Ivy Park collection was more detailed and thought out. The boxes from Adidas were encrusted with a chest of ice. During February 2021, the ice theme carried on. Especially noting the ice sculptures that were displayed all around New York City. The promotion spread out in Bryant Park and Domino Park.

The Beyoncé x Adidas Controversy in 2023

Following the loss of Kanye West’s Yeezy deal, Adidas cut ties with another high-profile musician. The consensus was that the $200 million loss became hard to clean up. In 2022, sales reports stated that Ivy Park x Adidas sales declined more than 50%. The reported $40 million earnings in 2022 was below the expected projection of $250 million.

From a critic’s point of view, the strategy was way off base. The overconfidence in Beyoncé doesn’t usually translate into sales. However, the buying power from her fans is what matters. Now, Beyoncé has partnered with Balmain ahead of the Renaissance World Tour. The “Renaissance Couture” comprises of 16 off-the-ramp styles co-designed by Beyoncé.

How Jack Harlow Got Discovered

When Harlow was still in school, he and his friend released a CD titled Rippin’ and Rappin’. Surprisingly, this song led to him gradually building a small fanbase and providing him with money to buy a professional mic. He then released his first solo debut mixtape, Extra Credit, Mr. Harlow. As his prominence began to rise, many big names in the industry started noticing him. According to Louisville Magazine, Harlow’s parents started getting calls from companies wanting to manage him when he was 14. Scooter Braun, who manages Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, is one of the persons that reached out to him. Later on, Braun flew Jack Harlow to his home in Los Angeles so they could meet him. Harlow told the magazine, ” biggest house I’ve ever been in.” However, things did not turn out well with Scooter Braun.

In 2017, he told Louisville Magazine that the money he made from streaming services and live shows wasn’t enough for him. Eventually, he got a job in the cafeteria at Georgia State University so he could pay his bills. On MTV’s Total Request Live, Harlow said that he only worked there for about a month before meeting DJ Drama. Fortunately, he signed him to his subsidiary label Generation Now, which is part of Atlantic Records. 

Jack Harlow: Career Life

Now that he was signed to a major label, Harlow talked about two crucial goals for his future. “I want to make a living,” he told XXL. “I want to take care of my family and friends and all that good stuff.” Harlow added, “Secondly, I just want to make the culture better. Do or see things no one else has done or seen.”

After releasing two well-received mixtapes and earning a BET Award, the Louisville rapper astonishingly released “Whats Poppin.” Fortunately, the song went viral on YouTube and TikTok in January 2020 before making it to radio and streaming services. Furthermore, “Whats Poppin” peaked at No. 2 on Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and was later nominated for a Grammy. Also, in 2020, Jack released his debut album, That’s What They All Say.

Harlow put out several singles in 2021, including “Industry Baby” with Lil Nas X. In a blink of an eye, he got his second Grammy nomination for his part in “Industry Baby.” Additionally, he also worked with Pooh Shiesty on “SUVs.” His second full-length album, Come Home The Kids Miss You, came out in May 2022.  Harlow has been featured in GQ, Spin, and Complex. Also, he was named Variety’s Hitmaker of the Year and one of Forbes‘ 30 Under 30 music stars last year. Ice-T is a well-known figure in both the acting and music communities. He’s made his claim to fame through the rap game. Born Tracy Morrow, Ice also participated in many movies, TV series, talk shows, and more. He’s almost on the screen as much as he’s behind the microphone, so it’s no wonder his résumé is lengthy. Since the early ’90s, Ice-T has appeared in multiple roles, spanning various genres, focuses, and stories. We’ll closely examine some of Ice-T’s most significant acting roles to date.

Ice-T: Early Career

Ice-T began acting in small roles throughout the ’80s. These were in movies such as Breakin and Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo. In the film, he played the role of Scotty Appleton, a detective who is trying to bring down a drug lord played by Wesley Snipes. Ice-T’s performance was praised for its intensity and authenticity, and he brought a sense of street smarts and grit to the role.

Trespass (1992)

In 1992, Ice-T starred in Trespass, a thriller directed by Walter Hill. In the film, he played the role of King James, a gang leader who is searching for a stolen treasure. Drake makes music for all moods, but his most emotionally transparent throwback songs hold a special place in the hearts of his diehard fans. Drake’s older material has aged well and is still considered the prime era of his career. Fans were ecstatic when he played some of his deepest album cuts and throwback hits at the Apollo Theater in New York earlier this year and at a recent performance for J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival in North Carolina. It was a reminder of how deep his catalog of music goes. This list of Drake songs focuses on his older tracks for when you’re “in your feelings.”

Though both parties care deeply about each other, they know that the relationship must end. These experiences clearly weigh on him, but he knows that it comes with the territory of being famous. The production is minimal and moody, and the song also includes guest vocals from Sampha. The combination of the instrumental, Sampha’s addition, and Drake’s vocals make for a laid-back track.

“From Time” (2013)

“From Time” is a reflective song that ranks high in Drake’s catalog. The instrumental is simple yet very layered and leaves room for the listener to ponder their own thoughts. Flatbush Zombies are a trio of rappers from Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York, that have been making songs for years. It consists of rappers Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice, and Erick The Architect. They were a part of the Beast Coast movement in the 2010s. Known for their unique production from Erick The Architect, the group mixed third-eye and drug talk with effortless, clever wordplay. However, recently, the focus has shifted to each member’s solo work. They have not broken up or alluded to doing so anytime soon. Zombie Juice is gearing up to release his solo debut Love Without Conditions on April 21. Because of this, we decided to go down memory lane and look at their top streaming songs as a group.

10. “Sliders” – Meechy Darko feat. Flatbush Zombies and Col3trane (2022)

This Flatbush Zombies song is unique because of the artist credits. Meechy is a member of Flatbush Zombies, but since this is actually a solo single from him, his other two group members count as features. Furthermore, Col3trane is an artist Erick has worked with before too. The Zombies mostly stay in the rap lane on this one while name-dropping various brands. The flows are quick and concise. Col3trane handles the hook with smooth sung vocals. Erick’s verse has a small moment of a rap-sung flow too. The production features keys that are just as smooth as the hook but the drums, specifically the snare, truly stick out. Even considering all these highlights, listeners think there could be more to the song since it ends so abruptly.

9. “36 Chamber Flow” (2013)

This Flatbush Zombies song is definitely a deep cut in their discography. The song is on a compilation project called Loosies from Brooklyn-based indie label Fool’s Gold. The song’s title pays homage to the legendary rap group Wu-Tang Clan. Erick’s production does, too, with a simplistic bass line, eerie melody, and simple drums. Many listeners were surprised about Meech’s verse on the track. It’s not because of what he said but how he said it. Often, he will opt to play up the raspiness of his voice to give it even more character. However, he forgoes this on this track and keeps his energy low-key as well. This was a wise choice as it fits in with the production’s tone.

8. “Afterlife” (2020)

This Flatbush Zombies song is a single that’s not on any full projects. One of the most important draw-ins for this song was its music video. In it, the trio is shown through what looks like an X-ray machine. Various other people, animals, and items join them in the video, creating a unique and eye-catching visual. This one is special because it was produced by James Blake. He also worked with Erick on other music. James crafts an eerie soundscape for the trio that features deep bass, skittering drums, pianos, and eerie sirens. Various other sound effects pop in throughout the song, too. The biggest indicator that James produced it is how his looped vocalizations are part of the production. This one has Zombie Juice singing the hook, with Meechy Darko giving him backup vocals.

7. “Smoke Break (Interlude)” (2016)

This Flatbush Zombies song is the interlude on their debut album 3001: A Laced Odyssey. It comes in exactly at the halfway point of the project. Over minimal drums and a psychedelic melody, Erick and Zombie Juice sing about the joys of one of their favorite activities. They both have slight vocal filters on their voices, which enhances the atmosphere of the song. This track serves as the perfect bridge between the two halves of the album due to its pacing. Zombie Juice’s sung moments sound as relaxed as the production floating around him. However, this is the first song on this list that does not feature a verse from Meech. Perhaps this was done to keep the track the length of an interlude since it hit the two-minute mark. 

6. “A Spike Lee Joint” feat. Anthony Flammia (2016)

This is another one of the more peaceful songs in the Flatbush Zombies’ discography. It’s also another rare one with a feature from an outside artist. Anthony Flammia sings the hook on the song and has what appears to be background vocalizations on it, too. His airy vocals are between rapped verses from Zombie Juice and Erick. Both of them take moments in their verses to reflect on things they did in the past and how things have and haven’t changed since then. Since Erick’s production is slower-paced here, Zombie Juice decides to bring the energy with his delivery. Erick opts to keep things smooth as Anthony’s vocals within the production are turned down but continue during his verse. Furthermore, there’s also a saxophone woven into the production, which gives the track an even more relaxing feeling.

5. “Left Hand” feat. The Underachievers, Nyck Caution, Kirk Knight and CJ Fly (2019)

This Flatbush Zombies song comes from the Beast Coast supergroup album Escape from New York. It has eight people on it but lasts just over three and a half minutes, an average song length. This was achieved by the fact each person’s verse is a quick eight or so bars. Many of them also used a fast flow during their verses. This structure also allowed Meech’s hook to be used throughout the song. Keeping in line with the third eye talk associated with Beast Coast, each verse (and the hook) uses the word/letter “I.” Most artists on the song also reference their relationship with Flatbush Zombies, showing their relationship extends beyond the music. All of this happens over production from Tyler Dopps and Sam Wish. They provide a mysterious melody and skittering drums that give the song a mysterious yet energetic feeling.

4. “Distance” feat. Issa Gold, Joey Bada$$ and Erick The Architect (2019)

This song only features one member of Flatbush Zombies. The verse on it comes from Erick The Architect. This is a short one from the Escape from New York album, but there’s still quality in its length. Joey Bada$$ is on hook duty and uses a casually sung delivery. His tone is as light as the keys from Powers Pleasant’s song production. Issa Gold of The Underachievers sets the tone for the rapped verses with his closing bars accented by ad-libs. Joey’s verse followed a similar structure but used echoed backup vocals instead of ad-libs. However, Erick’s verse is primarily absent of both of these techniques, but he is also the most energetic. It also has the most abrupt ending, which in a way, makes it the most impactful.

3. “New Phone, Who Dis?” (2016)

This is the longest song from Flatbush Zombies on this list. It’s another cut from 3001: A Laced Odyssey. This one is a standout for several reasons amongst listeners. One, the first time the hook is heard, there’s a sound like a phone ringing on vibrate that’s used. Many of them said this moment made them think their phone was ringing. Next, this track features what’s helmed as one of Meech’s best verses. For almost two and a half minutes, he flows without taking a breath. He also uses multiple flow switches and weaves in references to Coming to America, Futurama, and Fetty Wap. As he does all of this, the beat almost stays the same but has a few moments where new sounds come in to keep things interesting. Erick and Zombie Juice’s verses are before and after his, but he had the most significant effect on listeners.

2. “Headstone” (2018)

This is a unique Flatbush Zombies song on this list. For one, it’s the only song from their second album, Vacation in Hell. The title also serves as a double reference for the group’s name and the song’s subject matter. Each member’s verse is packed with song and album references to hip-hop artists from the past. These artists have either passed away, or their music is “dead” compared to the current popular rap artists. All the references are to artists that have influenced the group somehow. Listeners have spoken about picking up on a new reference almost whenever they hear the song. It is an example of the creativity of the group’s lyricism and how they are still students of the rap game.

1. “Bounce” (2016)

This is the most popular Flatbush Zombies song besides some tracks from their mixtapes. It features a full verse from all three members and no hook. This allows each member’s style to be displayed as each follows the next. Erick’s verse is unique because it references other songs from the group’s discography. The first is “Thug Waffle, ” their first hit in the underground rap world. A brief soundbite of the song’s instrumental plays during his mention. He also references their song “Palm Trees,” which was one of their first hits outside of the underground scene and it has a remix with Snoop Dogg. Meech and Zombie Juice’s verses trade in sentimental moments like this for animated deliveries and flow switches.
