Nicki Minaj Reignites Travis Scott Feud By Promoting Sabrina Carpenter’s Album

Travis Scott is a master at the album bundle. It propelled his 2018 album Astroworld to the top of the Billboard 200. He’s on pace to do it again with the streaming release of his 2014 mixtape Days Before Rodeo. The Houston rapper is pulling out all the stops when it comes to different album packages. He has different versions with different bonus tracks. He has a live version titled Live from Atlanta, and a chopped and screwed version. Nicki Minaj was the artist who got beat out by Astroworld in 2018, and she’s doing her best to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Sabrina Carpenter dropped her album Short N Sweet the same day as Days Before Rodeo. She is the main competition for Scott when it comes to topping the Billboard 200. Carpenter saw the parallels with her situation and Minaj’s in 2018, and decided to highlight it. “This is for Nicki,” she tweeted on August 29. The gesture did not go unnoticed by the the rapper, who returned the love during an Instagram Live. Nicki Minaj shouted Sabrina Carpenter out, and urged fans to go and buy her album. “Shout out Sabrina Carpenter, shout out all the Sabrina Carpenter fans,” Minaj stated. It’s a much more measured response than the one she gave in 2018.

Nicki Minaj Shows Love To Sabrina Carpenter’s Fans

Nicki Minaj infamously popped off during an episode of her Queen Radio show. She insulted Travis Scott for using bundles to boost his sales, and felt that her album should have been number one. “What we’re not gonna do is have that Auto-Tune man selling f*cking sweaters,” she said. “Telling you he sold half a million albums, because he f*cking didn’t.” Minaj also called out Spotify and the mother of Scott’s child, Kylie Jenner, for using their platforms to inflate Astroworld sales even further.

The plot thickened after Nicki Minaj showed love to the “Espresso” singer, though. Kanye West decided to enter the chat. West, who has been on bad terms with Minaj as of late, decided to repost a version of Scott’s album on his Instagram Story. Kanye West has a propensity for joining conflicts he has nothing to do with (just ask Kendrick Lamar), and he appears to have struck again. It’ll be fascinating to see if more artists pick sides in the unfolding Travis Scott vs. Sabrina Carpenter sales competition.

Nicki Minaj Announces Deluxe Edition of ‘Pink Friday 2’

Nicki Minaj Announces Second Leg of Record-Breaking Pink Friday 2 World Tour

Nicki Minaj is set to give fans more of her Pink Friday 2 world. The Rap Queen announced that the album’s deluxe edition will be Gag City Reloaded. “9.13.24 #GagCityRELOADED THE DELUXE ALBUM,” Minaj wrote on Instagram.

In other news, Nicki Minaj’s lawyer is responding to a disgruntled fan who sued the rap queen for slander. In response, Minaj’s lawyer speaks up.

According to Nicki’s attorney, Judd Burstein, the plaintiff, Tameer Peak, is accused of constantly harassing the superstar.

“He has now graduated to seeking to shake her down financially with manifestly false allegations and legally frivolous claims,” Burstein continued to TMZ. “He will regret having gone down this disreputable road when he is forced to pay her legal fees as required by California law.”

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Peak has been a devoted fan of Nicki Minaj for the past 15 years, actively promoting her career and her 2023 album, Pink Friday 2. However, the relationship between the fan and the superstar allegedly took a turn for the worse in 2017, during what Minaj referred to as her “Nicki hate train” phase. During this period, Peak alleges that Minaj began accusing her fans, including him, of being “paid moles” sent to undermine her success.

Peak’s lawsuit details several incidents in which he claims Minaj publicly humiliated and mistreated him. In one instance, he alleges that Nicki invited him to her hotel room, only to ridicule him in front of 100,000 viewers on Instagram Live. The suit also accuses Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, of physically assaulting Peak during a Super Bowl weekend event in 2020—a situation Minaj allegedly acknowledged in a direct message to Peak afterward.

The allegations further state that in 2024, Minaj sent messages through third parties instructing Peak to “stop saying dumb s–t,” which he claims damaged his reputation within her fanbase, the Barbz. Peak also points to several interactions on Twitter (now X) and Stationhead, where Minaj allegedly made disparaging comments about his mental stability and financial situation. She reportedly referred to him as “one sandwich short of a picnic” and implied he was on welfare, contributing to what Peak describes as a campaign to discredit and defame him.

In his lawsuit, Peak is seeking $5 million in damages for the reputational harm, emotional distress, and financial loss he says he has suffered as a result of Minaj’s actions.

Akbar V Offers To Defend Nicki Minaj In Court Amid Former Barbz’s Slander Lawsuit

Akbar V is one of Nicki Minaj’s strongest defenders, and she wants to make this clear in a court of law. Moreover, she recently tweeted some interesting claims concerning the Trinidadian MC’s $5 million lawsuit from a former super fan who accused her of slander and mistreatment. Apparently, Nicki has a countersuit ready to go, but that doesn’t mean that Akbar can’t contribute to her defense… Well, in the online space, at least. Moreover, she claimed to have evidence that paints this former Barb as a manipulator and as the person who instigated a lot of this complicated relationship, so we’ll see what comes of that.

“I will be going to court and telling the judge how he did this mess and how he act like he was Nicki team,” Akbar V said in defense of Nicki Minaj. “So @NICKIMINAJ give me the court date he text me several of times also i have the messages and calls. This is the same guy sent all these text messages to me then got on @ArmonWiggins space and act as if i was dogging Nicki out. Boy u are sick and had everyone thinking i was going against Nicki trying to sabotage my career and my loyalty Armon dropped u off his spaces cause of your lies.”

Akbar V Wants To Defend Nicki Minaj In Court

Elsewhere, another way in which Akbar V defended Nicki Minaj was after Latto did not call her the GOAT femcee, instead picking Lil Kim. “Lil Kim was the Goat …” Akbar’s message began. “her and foxy both had they run and did a lot for us female rappers so did eve, missy elliot , etc but what about when there was a stand still and no label wanted to sign female rappers ?

“Who came and open the door and had the longest run in history Nicki Minaj …” Akbar V posited, suggesting that the GOAT conversation is an ever-evolving one. “so let’s not say Kim is the Goat of all time because no dck grabbing it’s @NICKIMINAJ …..give that damn girl her flowers when it’s due yall don’t got to fk with each other but keep it a stack.”

Then, phase three would occur in the evening of the aforementioned tweet. Nicki Minaj hopped on a 45-minute Instagram Live to talk about this new deluxe edition, and tease some collaborations in the process.

However, at the time, she was not able to give any sort of concrete details about this third bonus version. “I will be doing a deluxe version of Pink Friday 2. It will be called Pink Friday 2 Gag City Reloaded. It’s going to be out soon. Do I have the exact dates for you? No. Is it coming out this week? No. But it’s coming”. Then, yesterday, part four of the rollout would see Nicki Minaj hype up a track that she claims will be the Barbz “favorite song on the deluxe”.

Nicki Minaj’s supposed legal battle with a disgruntled Barb superfan, hasn’t slowed down her music plans. In December 2023, the “Fallin 4 U” rapper dropped her chart-topping and streaming record holding album, Pink Friday 2.

Before the body of work can celebrate its one-year anniversary, Nicki Minaj will have yet another project to add to her discography. Today (August 26), Nicki Minaj announced Gag City Reloaded, the Pink Friday 2 deluxe album. The forthcoming release is slated to drop on September 13.

X (Twitter)

At this time the official tracklist has not yet been shared. However, in a poll posted to Nicki’s Instagram stories she hinted that outside of previously teased tracks, supporters should expect a host of new records.

On X (formerly Twitter), Nicki Minaj expressed her excited about what’s to come. “Well, Barbz,” she wrote. “Didn’t really want to have to speak on this, but I just can’t stay quiet about it any longer. Last night, I recorded what will probably be your favorite song on the deluxe. It will immediately go into your TOP 5 of the entire PF2 era. OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS.”

In the meantime, Nicki Minaj is preparing for the second North American leg of her Pink Friday 2 Tour with special guests Tyga, Skillibeng, and BIA set to launch on September 4.

Nicki Minaj Faces $5 Million Defamation Lawsuit Filed by a Longtime Fan

Nicki Minaj is facing a $5 million defamation lawsuit brought by one of her most dedicated fans. The plaintiff, Tameer Peak, claims that the New York rapper defamed him and caused significant emotional and financial harm over the course of several years.

Nicki Minaj Hints At “Pink Friday 2” Deluxe Release Date While Hyping Up A Fan-Favorite From It

The Barbz can’t wait for Nicki Minaj’s third (yes, third) deluxe version of Pink Friday 2 ahead of the second leg of her world tour, which will comprise of various U.S. shows. For what it’s worth, you won’t find us complaining about new music from her, especially amid her massively successful tour. However, fans are salivating at the mouth for this Gag City Reloaded edition but might finally have an answer as to when it will come out. Moreover, the Trinidadian MC posted an Instagram update on her page confirming the inclusion of a fan-favorite track she had previewed before on social media, as well as hinting at a possible timeline for this new expanded edition’s release.

“#TheAnxietySong will be on my deluxe album,” Nicki Minaj captioned the video of her vibing out to the track “Anxiety.” “Coming real soon. PF2 #GagCityReloaded DELUXE ALBUM [pink bow emoji] we are now 10 DAYS away #GagCityPHILLY [pink bow emoji]. How many songs do you want added to the DELUXE ALBUM?” The “ten days” in question refer to the tour’s second leg kicking off in Philadelphia on September 4, with support from BIA and Skillibeng. Tyga will also join in on the fun starting on the Washington DC stop in Madison Square Garden on September 9, per the trek’s website.

Nicki Minaj Issues Potentially Massive Pink Friday 2 Deluxe Update

Furthermore, Nicki Minaj had also announced that she will perform an updated setlist including Gag City Reloaded cuts with new wardrobe to boot. Still, she also has a lot of other big narratives to deal with, many of which remain quite murky. For example, there’s the 41-year-old’s alleged beef with Ice Spice, one that she seemed to speak on during a recent social media rant. It drew mixed reactions, but there’s nothing concrete enough to really make a final judgement call on.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj might also have to fight a former Barb in court after facing a slander awsuit from a fan she allegedly mistreated in various instances. Still, she reportedly has a countersuit ready to go. As such, we’ll see if any of these issues take center stage during this tour leg, or on Pink Friday 2‘s Gag City Reloaded. Be patient, Barbz… It’s almost here!

Nicki Minaj has a long list of rap foes. Unfortunately, there’s also a growing collective of Barbz that have taken issue with the “FTCU” rapper. One fan has supposedly taken their issue to the court’s door step.

According to TMZ, Nicki Minaj has been sued by fan, Tameer Peak, for slander. But Nicki Minaj countered with a statement, accusing the man of being a “stalker,” who reportedly attempted to impersonate members of her team.

Peak claimed that Nicki Minaj used her social media accounts and Stationhead broadcast channel to ridicule him, which turned fellow fans against him. Peak also alleged that Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, battered him, during a 2020 Super Bowl weekend event.

In the filing submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court, Peak listed Nicki Minaj’s alleged past remarks; “It’s clear they’re not necessarily, you know, a full basket umm at the picnic,” “one sandwich short of a picnic,” and Peak “receiving a check from the government” as supporting evidence.

Tameer Peak has asked for damages (reputational harm, emotional distress and financial loss) in the amount of $5 million.

In a statement provided to the outlet, Nicki Minaj’s attorney, Judd Burstein, shut down Peak’s allegations. “Mr. Peak has been harassing Nicki on social media for years on end to no avail,” he wrote. “He has now graduated to seeking to shake her down financially with manifestly false allegations and legally frivolous claims. He will regret having gone down this disreputable road when he is forced to pay her legal fees as required by California law.”

DJ Akademiks Defends Nicki Minaj’s Possible Explanation For Her Ice Spice Beef

Nicki Minaj recently sparked a whole lot of fan speculation with some recent moves that some Barbz interpreted as shade towards Ice Spice. For those unaware, the former unfollowed the latter on Instagram and then told fans to stop asking questions about “other people” amid this drama. As such, many put two and two together, but this equation doesn’t really confirm whether or not there are real issues at play here. Nevertheless, DJ Akademiks recently responded to this during his livestream, defending the Trinidadian MC for her choices and for the way in which she’s conducting business with these artists.

Of course, Ak’s main point of defense for Nicki Minaj’s treatment of Ice Spice was to compare her to her Young Money partner and his fav, Drake. He said that Drizzy rubs a lot of artists the wrong way for taking control of publishing and masters, but the media personality justified this through the notion of the “Drake stimulus package.” He’s already defended this model to death before, so it’s no surprise that he understands why Nicki is moving in the way she’s moving. To be clear, this approach from a massive artist to a relatively smaller one isn’t necessarily an automatic point of condemnation, as any sort of deal in the music industry can turn sour if executed irresponsibly.

DJ Akademiks Speaks On Nicki Minaj’s Label Comments Seemingly Aimed At Ice Spice

Here’s what Nicki Minaj had to say about rappers signing to white labels instead of her Heavy On It imprint, which many saw as an Ice Spice dig. “Motherf***er tell somebody they don’t want to sign with Heavy On It,” she expressed. “But then they’ll go and sign with the white peoples. And guess who the white peoples finna call? Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty. They always get the attention of the Barbz. If your name is not on [the new version of] Pink Friday 2, they’re not a Heavy On It artist.”

Meanwhile, this is what Ice Spice had to say about Nicki Minaj recently. “We don’t have the closest relationship, you know? But we’re definitely good,” she posited. “We’re mutuals. We had smash records together. I love us together. I think the world does too.”
