After months of theorizing and celebrating for pgLang Stans, Kendrick Lamar is apparently (and finally) kicking his rollout into full gear. Whether this is first and foremost a rollout for his Super Bowl LIX halftime show or a potential new album remains a mystery. However, thanks to K.Dot’s longtime friend Euro on Twitter, we have hope that it won’t be long until we find out. “That’s just a teaser watch the next s**t,” he responded to a fan who tagged him in a post about Kendrick’s new untitled song. As such, it seems like we might get a follow-up to this new release sooner rather than later.

However, it’s still anyone’s guess as to what this “next s**t” even means. Is it a new album, a new hot single, a compilation project, another Drake diss, or just more and more hype until the big New Orleans stage on February 9? Either way, it’s clear that it’s Kendrick Lamar season right now, and there are so many ways in which it could develop. Fans are even looking deeply into the eBay listing of some Black Forces that he used as his cover art.

Kendrick Lamar’s Friend Says He’s Just Getting Started

However, sometimes this process can be as simple as tracing back the origins of a certain image. Moreover, Internet sleuths found out that the cover art for his new untitled song, commonly referred to as “Watch The Party Die” online, actually comes from a $70 eBay listing for a pair of black used ’82 Nike Air Force 1s. In fact, the listing sold that very same night that the song came out (Wednesday, September 11).

Furthermore, folks are obviously dissecting a lot of other aspects about this new Kendrick Lamar song and reacting to it appropriately. As you can imagine, the OVO team – including Mr. “Weird Case” Baka Not Nice – isn’t very happy about this song coming out, or thinks it’s not worth anyone’s time. GloRilla Plays Off Nearly NSFW Wardrobe Malfunction During VMAs Performance

GloRilla was one of plenty of stars who hit the MTV Video Music Awards stage on Wednesday (September 11), and did so explosively. Moreover, she performed her two big 2024 hits, those being “Yeah Glo!” and “TGIF.” It was overall a pretty satisfying and fun performance, but the swift wardrobe change in between songs was sadly imperfect. A couple of minutes into the “TGIF” rendition, the “Mama” femcee’s bra strap seemed to come apart, and she had to hold onto it with one hand while rapping into the mic in the order so that she wouldn’t expose herself. That wasn’t part of the rehearsals…

Still, GloRilla kept her composure and performed throughout the song without missing a beat. The only thing that made an issue noticeable was the visual aspect of seeing her hold onto herself. Eventually, once the Memphis native was back and standing on the main stage, a backup dancer noticed the issue and fixed the issue so that she could perform normally to close the medley out. It was a pretty smooth and easily manageable malfunction, so props to her and her team for being so graceful with it. Her frequent collaborator Megan Thee Stallion also had some killer performances as well as a hosting gig, and it seems like we might get a full joint album from them in the near future.

Firstly, there were some bars that seemed to be directed at Drake. Instead of new disses, they were simply reflections on his win and how he feels after taking the world by storm. Moreover, he takes aim at the music industry and the machinations that force him to be more visible than he would like to be.

While many fans are enjoying the new song, there are a few who are not so impressed. Of course, one of those people is none other than Baka Not Nice. At this point, we all know why Baka would be agaisnt this song. After all, he was the subject of an iconic bar on Kendrick’s “Not Like Us.” While scrolling through TikTok, Baka came across the song and was clearly not enthused by the subject matter. He hopped in the comments section and wrote “sh*t sounds like them shoes look” with a trash emoji at the end.

Very few words but impactful nonetheless. At this stage, it seems pretty clear that Baka and the whole OVO team is at odds with Kendrick Lamar, and that will likely never change.
