Future Removed All Features From “Mixtape Pluto” And Fans Are Confused

Future delivered. Just not in the exact manner we expected. The rapper dropped off his new album, Mixtape Pluto, and its filled with stellar production and earworm hooks. One thing the album doesn’t have, though, is features. Future teased high profile collaborations with Travis Scott and Gunna on the new album. Travis Scott was touted to be on “SOUTH OF FRANCE,” and even appeared in the video for the teaser snippet. Likewise, Gunna had a verse on the leaked version of “TOLD MY.” Neither of them made the final cut, though, and fans are puzzled.

There has been some tension between Future and Gunna in the past. The former tweeted support for Gunna’s single “Prada Dem” in March, but deleted it minutes later. Fans everywhere speculated that the tension between the two men stemmed from Gunna’s actions in the ongoing YSL case. Given that “TOLD MY” dates back before the YSL drama, it’s very possible Future made the decision in light of the current circumstances. The omission of Travis Scott is a little more puzzling. Scott was seen recording a verse in the promo video for “SOUTH OF FRANCE.” There doesn’t appear to be any bad blood between him and Future, though.

Future Removed Gunna And Travis Scott From The Album

Given how anticipated both of these collabs were, fans were understandably disappointed. Some voiced concern over what these omissions mean with regards to Future’s relationships. Others simply lamented the fact that they didn’t get new Scott and Gunna verses. “Did we all get bamboozled by thinking Travis would be on South of France or was that just me,” asked one user. Another fan posited that Future could be saving the features for a deluxe version of Mixtape Pluto. If so, though, it would be the rare instance of a deluxe adding features to pre-existing songs instead of new ones.

Diddy Allegedly Placed On Suicide Watch While Awaiting Trial

Diddy’s predicament is getting progressively worse. The Bad Boy founder has been denied bail, twice. He’s been sent to Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center to await his trial, and sources have reported to People Magazine that the situation is not ideal. Diddy has allegedly been placed on suicide watch at the detention center. It’s not yet known how long the mogul has been on suicide watch. It has been alleged, however, that Diddy is in “shock” following his arrest.

The sources at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center have claimed that Diddy is not suicidal, but is merely being place on suicide watch as a preventative measure. According to People Magazine, however, the suicide rate among inmates at MDC is alarmingly high. The outlet reports that the detention center is often understaffed, and Diddy’s legal team raised this concern in court. “Earlier this summer, an inmate was murdered,” the team asserted. “At least four inmates have died by suicide there in the past three years.” Evidently, the argument did not sway the court.

Diddy Was Placed On Watch As A Preventative Measure

This is not the first time concerns about Diddy’s safety have been raised. A former warden at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center told TMZ that the mogul’s life could be at risk. He alleged that several inmates at MDC would consider it a “badge of honor” to take out the celebrity. The outlet also provided details on Diddy’s current living conditions. The Bad Boy founder will have a 6 am wake up call, one hour of rec time, and three meals a day. The good news is that Diddy won’t be in general population, so the ex warden’s concerns are minimized. The bad news is that the mogul will have to wait until gen pop is given their food, so the meals won’t exactly be fresh.

Diddy is potentially looking at a lifetime of these meals if convicted. The mogul was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The charges were so severe, that the judge presiding over the case denied Diddy’s offer of a $50 million bond to be let go. Marc Agnifilo, the mogul’s attorney, called the decision “unjust prosecution.”

Chris Brown And Lil Durk Sued By Producer Claiming They Stole His Song

Chris Brown and Lil Durk are established superstars. They have dozens of hits tallied between them. Brown is one of the best-selling artists of all time, for crying out loud. That doesn’t mean they are exempt from legal action, however. Chris Brown and Lil Durk are being sued by a producer named Micah Foster, according to TMZ. The producer claims that the duo jacked the beat for their single “Till the Wheels Fall Off,” and intends to prove it in a court of law.

Foster claims that he released his song, “Wheels Fall Off,” in 2019. Not only does the song feature a similar title to the Chris Brown and Durk song, but the producer claims that he played it in front of the singer before its release. For context, Chris Brown and Lil Durk’s version dropped in 2022. Foster goes on to tell TMZ that has worked with Brown several times over the years. He claims that he’s worked with the singer to develop multiple hits. Generally speaking, collaboration means a portion of the royalties on the song. Foster, however, claims that Chris Brown and Lil Durk have stiffed him.

The producer is seeking his royalties from the song. “Til the Wheels Fall Off” has over 20 million streams on Spotify, so it’s safe to assume Foster is owed a nice chunk of change. This is not the first time Brown has been accused of “borrowing” from other songs.

The latest developments in Diddy’s ongoing legal battle continue to garner reactions from social media users and peers. Recently, Hollywood publicist Linda Luna even weighed in on the debacle, earning herself a great deal of backlash. In a lengthy Facebook post, she insisted that she’s never personally seen Diddy do anything he’s been accused of.

“This Diddy controversy is truly so unfortunate,” she began. “I work with his son Christian as his publicist in the music area and I have worked with Justin too. I’ve been around Diddy many times. I’ve been to his parties and after-parties and I’ve never seen what they are claiming. Method Man Asks Fans To Separate Diddy’s Downfall From Rap Culture

Method Man and Diddy have been peers for over three decades. They both helped to pioneer the East Coast sound in the 1990s. Even if they were on different ends of the spectrum. Meth was cultivating an underground sound with Wu-Tang Clan. Diddy, meanwhile, was the architect of the uber commercial Bad Boy sound. Method Man was cornered by TMZ on Thursday, and asked whether Diddy’s downfall was something that was going to damage hip hop culture as a whole. He was seemingly baffled by the notion. He urged fans to draw a line between one man’s behavior and an entire genre.

“I don’t think that it has anything to do with hip hop,” Method Man told TMZ. “What are we talking about here, really.” The reporter tried to clarify that Diddy’s influence over the genre may make it hard for some outsiders to make a separation. Again, Method Man wasn’t buying it. “It has nothing to do with hip hop,” he asserted. “I don’t see the correlation.” The Wu-Tang rapper then drew a parallel between Diddy and the controversy surrounding R. Kelly. He rightfully pointed out that Kelly’s music, and R&B as a whole, is still thriving despite his crimes. “If we’re talking about music and creative and stuff,” Meth noted. “There are people still listening to R. Kelly sh*t.”

Method Man Believes Hip Hop Is In A Healthy Place

Method Man has tried to stay out of the Diddy drama over the years. He did, however, go semi-viral on TikTok when he shared a story involving the Bad Boy mogul. He claimed he ran into Diddy at the House of Blues in the 1990s. The Wu-Tang rapper recalls Diddy getting touchy with him, and urging him to get in his car to go to a party. “There’s no way I’m getting in that motherf*cking car,” he explained to the Hot 97 hosts. Meth had a much closer relationship with Diddy’s protege, The Notorious B.I.G. In fact, he was the only rapper featured on Biggie’s classic debut, Ready to Die (1994).

Method Man was nearly dragged into Diddy debacle in 2023. 50 Cent posted a video in which Meth said he didn’t like Kanye West. The reasoning was that Method Man allegedly witnessed Ye perform oral sex at one of Diddy’s now infamous parties. The Wu-Tang veteran responded to 50’s post and made it clear that no such incident took place. “This video fake 5,” he wrote on IG. “You and Diddy keep me out of this sh*t. The real vid is on YouTube .. do your research.”

According to her, she’s not actually behind the message that’s going viral. “This is fake not from me!” she wrote simply. Some fans still have their doubts.
