Travis Scott & Sabrina Carpenter Sales Battle Finally Crowns A Winner

Travis Scott and Sabrina Carpenter are both mega stars in their respective genres. The latter has more recently become one, thanks to smash singles such as “Espresso”, “Please Please Please”, and “Feather”. The former of the two are on her latest album Short n’ Sweet, which saw its release on August 23. That happened to be the same Friday that Travis Scott would go on to reissue his beloved 2014 mixtape DAYS BEFORE RODEO. Since then, multiple updates have come through in regard to the final sales projections. Originally, Sabrina was ahead by 100,000 units about five days ago. However, thanks to the power of bundling, as well as deluxe and alternate editions, that all quickly changed. Scott was then aiming to both surpass the pop phenom and achieve the best first week for any hip-hop album in 2024.

Sadly, for him and his fans, Sabrina was able to make Nicki Minaj and her Barbz proud. According to a report from Billboard via Luminate, Short n’ Sweet was able to eek by DAYS BEFORE RODEO by a mere 1,000 units. The final tally is 362,000 to 361,000. Congratulations are in order for the Pennsylvania singer and songwriter, as this is her first top 10 charting project and it’s also the third largest debut of 2024. With this, it’s safe to say she’s here to stay for the long haul.

Sabrina Carpenter Outlasts Travis Scott By One Thousand Units

As for Travis Scott, it was a case of just too little too late, if you even want to say that. The final push over the last couple of days was quite extraordinary, and it goes to show that how coveted of a tape DAYS BEFORE RODEO truly is. Initially, 190,000 physical sales were projected to be the case when the 12-song set was on pace for 217,000 overall. Now, that number has jumped to 331,000, making it the second-biggest sales week of 2024. Of course, both projects will debut at number one and number two respectively once the charts update.

50 Cent shared a clip from his recent interview on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game on Instagram on Monday in which he discusses the idea of a “gangster” lifestyle and being “tough.” He explained to Gillie Da Kid and Wallo why he doesn’t care about being tough. “A Million dollars worth of game right there,” he captioned the clip.

“Tough is never what you said,” he told the two hosts. “It’s always what you did. So, we know tough n****s, we know people who do this sh*t but it usually leads to them living a tough life. It starts a cycle of tough sh*t. And no matter how tough their act is, if they do some brazen sh*t, they getting ready to go to the home of the boldest.” From there, 50 explained his feeling on appearing tough. “Tough is not my goal man,” he continued. “I don’t care about that sh*t. You know what’s Gangster to me, is to live the way you want to live. To not have to answer to people to change things.”

She provided the latest update on the project in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday while celebrating the continued success of her debut, Invasion of Privacy. She shared a post noting that she’s moved over 500,000 total equivalent album units in 2024 despite not dropping a project since 2018. “Album still sellin like good quality p*ssy,” she responded. “OKAY OKAY let me stop playing and drop this second album.”

In response to the post, fans joked about how long they’ve had to wait to hear a new full-length project from Cardi. “That announcement better be this month girl or I’m starting a rumour about whipshots giving me monkey pox,” one user wrote. Cardi has been promising to drop her sophomore album in 2024 at several points throughout the year. Back in April, she reflected on the six-year anniversary of her debut project and admitted she’s nervous to follow up on the critically acclaimed effort. “6 years ago I released my first album and it broke so many records GAH LEE!! 6 years later I’m preparing to drop the next one this year.. it’s so different from what everyone is expecting and I’m sooo excited. Love you guys and thank you for the support! I’ll talk to ya soon I been so busy these last few days.” In another post, she added: “Yeup!!! I’m a little nervous. But I don’t care! Playboi Carti Gives Hopeful Progress Update On His Eagerly Awaited “I Am Music” Album

Saying that Playboi Carti fans are ready for I Am Music would be a massive understatement. The influential Atlanta, Georgia MC has been teasing his third studio album for quite a while, with a lot of it happening at the beginning of this year. The 28-year-old put out several tracks on his YouTube and Instagram accounts such as “EVILJ0RDAN”, “BACKR00MS”, “Ketamine”, “2024”, and more. Despite a lack of new singles or any news for that matter, Carti has been keeping busy in the features department.

He’s worked with the likes of Metro Boomin and Future, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, Camila Cabello, Drake and more. A few of his contributions have led to some high charting success, so at least he’s active and staying relevant. However, we would be lying if we said that this was enough. Thankfully, we are finally getting some more news surrounding I Am Music and it’s good. Billboard released a revealing feature on the mysterious rager that was conducted right before Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash in June.

It’s maybe why he’s taking an even more precautious approach to I Am Music, making sure that the art remains hidden, for the most part. Cam’ron & Mase Hilariously Roast Michael Jordan’s Son And Shade Michael Irvin In The Process

Cam’ron and Mase have one of the best sports talk shows out right now. Overall, It Is What It Is has proven to be must-watch programming. Moreover, it was the catalyst for these two to reconcile their differences and become best friends again. Over the past couple of years, the show has been a massive hit and the fans absolutely adore it. However, they were recently on a bit of a hiatus to enjoy the summer break and get some much-deserved rest.

Now, the show is officially back as the NFL season is about to commence this weekend. Fans could not be more excited for the next six months, and It Is What It Is will be providing commentary throughout. In fact, on Monday, they had Michael Irvin as a guest. Following their segment with Irvin, they discussed the recent images of Michael Jordan’s son Marcus appearing to snort what looks like cocaine. Given Irvin’s past issues with cocaine, Cam’ron and Mase had a moment in which they couldn’t stop laughing.

As the two proclaimed, they were happy to bring up the topic after Irvin had already left, otherwise, he could have ended up triggered by the conversation. It was all very silly and you can tell that their moderator, Stat Baby, thought it was hilarious. Ultimately, it is yet another example of how this show continues to provide some laughs. Olympic Marathon Star Set On Fire By Boyfriend: Report

Hopefully, Rebecca Cheptegei gets some sort of justice and soon. According to an appalling report from TMZ Sports, the Ugandan marathon runner was set on fire by her Kenyan boyfriend, Dickson Ndiema. The barbaric act occurred this past Sunday according to Trans Nzoia County Police Commander, Jeremiah ole Kosiom. He says that a fight over property was what set things off between them and somehow spiraled into her being set ablaze. Time says that Cheptegei’s parents told them that she got land in Trans Nzoia County to be closer to training centers. In his report, Kosiom said, “During the altercation, the boyfriend was seen pouring a liquid on the woman before burning her”. That “liquid” used was petrol.

At this moment, there are no charges on Cheptegei’s assumed ex-boyfriend, but they are certainly bound to come. After catching on fire, the 33-year-old runner is said to have around 75% of her body burnt. Ndiema also sustained injuries after his brutal attack. Cheptegei is currently getting special treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret city.

World Tour. Storme chimed in on the situation on X (formerly Twitter), after she previously leaked alleged messages from Spice in which she appeared to criticize Cleo and Nicki Minaj.

Storme began by quote-tweeting Cleo’s previous defense about that situation with the message: “I tried to warn you & you just threatened to beat me up. Nevertheless, I’m sorry that happened to you.” Cleo then replied to her: “Oh I threatened to beat you up cause you was doing all that cause was mad at ice. 50 Cent is a mogul in the music world and he knows how to find talent. Overall, with his years of experience in the game, he can tell within a few minutes whether or not an artist can be a star. Consequently, when it comes to signing new talents, he has to make some pretty tough decisions. For instance, back in 2016, he decided not to sign Desiigner following his smash hit “Panda.” As we all know, Desiigner ended up signing to Kanye West and subsequently faded into obscurity.

While speaking to Gillie and Wallo on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Fif made some interesting comments about Desiigner and the mad dash that ensued to sign the star. 50 Cent says he took a meeting with him and was ready to put ink on the paper, however, when he asked Desiigner about his other songs, the artist had no answer. This is because he only had one song. Fif saw this as a massive red flag and ended up passing on the artist.

Knowing what we know now, this was probably for the best. Desiigner never became a bonafide superstar. Furthermore, he ultimately got into legal trouble when he exposed himself on a plane. When you put all of this together, it can be said that Fif dodged a bullet. While Desiigner has made attempts at a comeback, so far, they have mostly fallen short.
