Recently, one fan spotted Cardi B out and about in New York City by herself. She appeared to be in good spirits, but the clip sparked a great deal of concern from her supporters. She took to X to address the clip of the unexpected sighting, making it clear that it wasn’t a big deal. “It was like 9am and I was hungry …..also nobody finna touch me,” she said.

That did little to ease fans’ concerns, however. They continued to flood her with demands not to go out alone. Again, she clarified that she was fine and that there was no need for fans to worry. “My house got 24/7 security,” she also explained. “I’m very spontaneous and I like my privacy… Sometimes I want to go to the deli or make a quick target run …I’m not waiting around till security come ….ALSO I ALWAYS ALWAYS GOT SOMETHING ON ME!”

Still, the Bardigang was unconvinced, despite her emphasizing the fact that she hates “being babied.” One X user even claimed that one of her posts was a “trauma response,” which she quickly denied. “Wtffff yall be talking about …yall need help,” she responded. “It was 9am and I went to get a bacon egg and cheese …STOP WIT THIS cry baby sh*t ..Y’all too p**** …let me get off this app cause yall irritating me and is not even funny.”

Clearly, Cardi’s got it covered and doesn’t appreciate being treated like she doesn’t. Playboi Carti Scores Legal Win In UMG Copyright Case Over Incorrect Takedown

Playboi Carti and Universal Music Group (UMG) just dodged a huge legal bullet thanks to a new ruling from a federal judge. Moreover, this case stems from the aforementioned artist and label taking down a song from G-Baby which uses the same beat from Carti and Pi’erre Bourne’s “Right Now.” However, G-Baby actually released his song “Oi!” before “Right Now” and did so with a legal license to use this same beat. The judge in this matter ruled that the “FIELD TRIP” creative and UMG didn’t violate the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) when they mistakenly took “Oi!” down since they didn’t intend to do so.

Furthermore, this ruling emerged on Tuesday (August 27) amid an update in last year’s lawsuit from G-Baby against Playboi Carti and UMG. The suit claimed that this takedown violated the DMCA’s stipulations protecting creators from improper takedowns. However, the judge in this ruling cited that previous decisions indicate how these safeguards only apply to intentionally irresponsible uses of the legal framework to shut other products down. As such, it seems like the “No Face” MC (which might appear on streaming services soon) will be in the clear.

“Because the DMCA requires only a good faith belief that material is infringing, a copyright holder is not liable for misrepresentation under the DMCA if they subjectively believe the identified material infringes their copyright, even if that belief is ultimately mistaken,” Judge Analisa Torres expressed. She also explained how G-Baby admitted that the UMG employee who took “Oi!” down didn’t know that he licensed the beat that Playboi Carti also used. “This admission alone dooms [G-Baby’s] claim against UMG,” Torres posited. Hopefully Carti and The Weeknd don’t face these issues on their supposed next collab.

Back to the story at hand: “[G-Baby] cites no caselaw for the proposition that one employee’s knowledge that a use may be non-infringing should be imputed to another employee who independently issues a takedown notice on behalf of the company,” the judge ruled. “Although [Playboi Carti] may well have been aware of (and displeased with) [G-Baby’s] license to use the beat, [G-Baby] has failed to establish that [Carti] had any part in the takedown notices.” We’ll see what happens next for one of Complex‘s best Atlanta rappers of all time.

Last weekend, TLC announced that they had to cancel a slew of upcoming shows due to T-Boz’s recent hospitalization. They shared the disappointing news in a statement on their Instagram Story, revealing that T-Boz had been diagnosed with a severe abdominal blockage. According to her, however, she would have preferred if the statement had been less detailed. In a clip shared on Instagram today, she addresses the various rumors that have been circulating since the announcement, making it clear that her condition has nothing to do with Ozempic or Sickle Cell.

“People have died from what I went through,” she said. “It had nothing to do with Sickle Cell… It had nothing to with constipation. No, I’m not on Ozempic. Everybody and every celeb ain’t on Ozempic. The ignorance is disheartening to me. I would just pray for people or if I had nothing to say I would shut the hell up and say nothing at all, but y’all don’t know how to f*****g do that. For those unaware, she posted a picture of her in the studio on Wednesday (August 28) that referred to it as the “Atlantic Records correctional facilities.” While a lot of people didn’t like how the Bronx femcee was seemingly unenthused about working on her long-awaited sophomore album, others took more direct issue with comparing this kind of career with a prison. Regardless of what side of these criticism she took the most issue with, she blasted the critics all the same in a new tweet on Thursday (August 29).

“The fact that I made a little joke about the studio because I been mixing and mastering about 40-50 songs and y’all turned that into I hate creating is crazy,” Cardi B shared with her followers. “This why artists don’t interact anymore cuz y’all will take one little joke and stretch it wider than y’all a**holes. God forbid I make a little sarcastic jokey jokey about motherhood y’all gonna claim I hate my kids and call cps…dweebs.” “HITS AND BEAUTIFUL A** KIDS,” she clapped back at a fan asking what she does create.

In other news, amid Cardi B’s third pregnancy and Offset divorce, she revealed that she didn’t like the short time that she spent living in Atlanta. “I don’t live in Atlanta, I have a house in Atlanta,” she told social media. “I only go to Atlanta like three or four times a year. And probably I go for a week, maybe less. I tried to move to Atlanta in 2018 and I lived there for like six months. And I hated it. 6ix9ine Gets Hit With An International Warrant For His Arrest

The Dominican Republic has reportedly issued an international warrant for 6ix9ine’s arrest, according to local outlet Diario Libre‘s Thursday report (August 29). Per the publication, the Court of Appeals in the Judicial District of La Vega posted this warrant and declared that he was “in rebellion” outside the D.R. since June of 2024. Therefore, they request that law enforcement authorities apprehend the rapper in any country they find him in if he doesn’t surrender first. For those unaware, this warrant stems from his October 2023 arrest for allegedly assaulting two producers, whose lawyers recently filed a motion to request his arrest.

Furthermore, this alleged assault occurred during a recording session with 6ix9ine’s then-girlfriend, Yailin La Mas Viral, and he saw freedom following a $500,000 bond. This past January, though, he was arrested again in the Dominican Republic over domestic violence claims and was released on bond a week later. Authorities ordered the New York City native to cough up a $510 deposit, engage in government counseling, and reunite with them every two months until they close their investigation into his alleged abuse of Yailin.

Sadly for 6ix9ine, this news adds to a pretty long string of public losses over the last few months. For example, Lil Tjay recently gave his ex a chain, which was probably not very fun for him to see. Regardless, the 28-year-old continues to trudge through his legal issues and his personal, social media antic-heavy struggles. We don’t know how this whole saga will end, although this new international arrest warrant certainly makes things more complicated and dire. Maybe he will eschew all of his other storylines and focus first and foremost on this challenge.

Meanwhile, speaking of other storylines, this all comes as 6ix9ine is flaunting a new hairstyle and making his return to new music. He just dropped a single, “Wassup,” to mark the start of this new era, one whose longevity is very much up in the air at this point. We’ll see if anything comes of this international arrest warrant. Back in 2015, a former contestant from The Game’s VH1 reality show She’s Got Game, Priscilla Rainey, sued him. She accused the rapper of sexual battery, alleging that he groped her under her clothing without consent during an off-camera date. A jury later awarded her about $7 million, a judgment he insisted he would never pay.

“Don’t be fooled by these accusations or the dollar amount in the headlines,” he wrote at the time. “Cause I put that on my favorite aunties poodle this broad ain’t gettin sh*t! Every girl on that show will tell u I never touched this chick or ever desired to be anywhere near her.” Now, however, AllHipHop reports that he’s been tracked down by a private investigator who served him with multiple legal documents.

A proof of service filing obtained by the outlet shows that The Game was served earlier this month. The documents included a notice of a right to a homestead exemption hearing, an order regarding the proposed sale of a dwelling, and more. The news arrives shortly after it was revealed that Rainey plans to seize the rapper’s Calabasas home as part of her asset collection approved by the court. It also comes after she subpoenaed his children’s school district for proof of residence and attendance records in July, seized his publishing and label, and more.
