YG & Saweetie Call It Quits After 7 Months Of Dating: Report

YG and Saweetie were one of hip-hop’s most low-key but beloved couples in recent memory, but it seems like they went their separate ways. Moreover, according to new reports from TMZ, representatives from both rappers spoke to The Shade Room about how they mutually decided to end their seven-month-ish relationship, as they think they would be better off as friends. Also, these reports suggest that neither is very interested in seeking another partner right now, and that they want to focus on their careers first and foremost. It’s a sad thing to hear about, but at least this all seems amicable and respectful, which is more than we can ask for in these wild times.

Furthermore, the West Coast MCs confirmed their romance around in May of 2023 following a month or so of rumors. Not only that, but this wasn’t really a surprise: YG and Saweetie have collaborated often– most recently on the former’s “BIRTHDAY” single– and they toured together with Tyga. As such, it was great to see these two work well together within and outside of their careers and personal lives. After all, they were pretty low-key about everything, which again, is more than we can ask for from most couples with a strong bond before their romantic union.

Meanwhile, the last we heard from them in the pop culture and gossip mill was their October performance at the University of Southern California. Since then, things cooled down significantly at least on our end, leading folks to speculate on just how long ago they split. It’s possible that their teams are just now allegedly relaying this to The Shade Room after days, weeks, or months of a relationship status update between YG and Saweetie. Perhaps we’ll just have to wait and see whether either Cali native speaks out about what they had, and what they might continue to manifest beyond a cuff.

When it comes to their careers, both artists actually have some songs to promote or tease these days. For the Icy Girl, that would be her previewed track “Richtivities,” whereas the Still Brazy spitter just dropped “Stand Up” with Stunna Girl. Drake Tomb Hoax Gets Fans Pressed Over His Fake Requests

Drake’s the type of person to make a lavish tomb for himself at 37 years old… said the comedian coming up with skit ideas. Moreover, Graeme Barrett recently uploaded a humorous hoax that spoofed the construction of a tomb for the 6ix God in his home city of Toronto on Wednesday (January 10). “It’s got everything Drake requested for the afterlife,” Barrett said as the “site supervisor” during the fake broadcast news report. “So there’s rooms filled with Patron, there’s room for 21 Savage, and there’s also a fully functioning OVO store.” Furthermore, the most streamed rapper of 2023 is living better than most of us even in the afterlife.

Of course, this was all just a big joke, but some fans still made fun of these requests and of this construction as if it was really happening. This was made clear when Barrett joked that “an old lady cursed all the items, so if someone does steal something, for the rest of their life, they will be followed home by the owl man.” Also, he said that the only sealed item in this tomb is a pirated copy of Stranger Things. It seems like the comedian did his research and still thinks there’s some mileage in the Drake and Millie Bobby Brown rumors.

Meanwhile, this is what some fans had to say about this whole parody. “The strangers things dvd joke is elite,” one user commented under the video above, referencing A$AP Rocky’s possible opponent’s alleged proximity to Bobby Brown. “Drake’s the type of guy who says ‘hehe you’ve got company’ before appearing as an ectoplasm for those trying to pillage his tomb,” another wrote. “The elites actually worship an owl God, s**ts wild,” one conspiratorial follower expressed, whereas another chimed in with: “Hot line bling played on repeat when your trapped inside.”

Diddy Won’t Attend Grammys This Year: Report

The various sexual assault allegations against Diddy sent shockwaves throughout the industry, both in his own career and that of so many others. Moreover, as one of music’s most prolific and wide-ranging moguls, it’s clear that this has affected a lot of pop culture these days. One question that folks had, for example, is whether Sean Combs will attend the 2024 Grammys, given his nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album for The Love Album: Off The Grid. It marks his first solo nomination since 2004, in which he won Best Rap Group/Duo Performance for “Shake Ya Tailfeather” featuring Nelly and Murphy Lee.

Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Diddy will not attend this year’s ceremony, taking place on February 4. This news allegedly comes directly from one of his representatives, who spoke to the outlet about this decision as he also faces shut-outs from reality TV programs and many more consequences. Furthermore, back in December, the Recording Academy stated to Radar Online that they are “taking this matter very seriously and are in the process of evaluating it with the time and care that it deserves.” If this news is true, then perhaps we will never know how the Grammys’ organizers would’ve truly handled this situation.

Unfortunately for him, this is the latest in a series of arrests for similar charges, ones that have plagued his life and career for a long time. It’s important to note that much of this is due to the systemic conditions and circumstances that he faced while growing up in Chicago. Nevertheless, the specific charges include theft of over $10,000 in stolen goods, although the arrest report indicates that it doesn’t reach the $100,000 mark. In addition, this document details the specific firearm charges that he faces.

Furthermore, authorities took custody of Lil Zay Osama for possessing a loaded machine gun on his person and in the passenger compartment of his vehicle. Not only that, but the report also suggests that he modified the gun in some way that left a defaced serial number. It’s unclear what the “Ain’t On S**t” rapper’s status or condition is, as well as whether he’d be able to bond or bail out. Surely within the coming days and weeks, we should get new updates on this case and what other implications it could yield for him.

However, maybe it’s not as diverse as he thinks it could be, as new reports from the Jasmine Brand indicate that he’s moving into a new area of entertainment. Moreover, the G-Unit multi-hyphenate is reportedly opening up his own strip club in Detroit- maybe not themed around him, per se, but under his ownership. Apparently he already has a location, and is now actively looking for staff members to bring onto the team. There’s still no timeline as far as when it will open, but we’re sure it will quickly become one of Fif’s favorite spots in the city- despite the bias, of course.

Furthermore, this shouldn’t come as much surprise given his strong ties to the Michigan city. B.G. Leaving Prison Soon, Reports Suggest He’ll Be Out In “A Few Days”

Cash Money rapper B.G. has been in prison for over a decade stemming from witness tampering and illegal gun possession charges from 2009. Moreover, the rap game often spoke on his condition before this most recent update, whether it was his collaborators or other hip-hop figures. However, new reports suggest that the Hot Boys MC will see an early release from jail, although the information is a bit murky. Specifically, theJasmineBrand spoke to allegedly close sources to him and said that he’ll be out in “a few days.” If this is true, then he would be a free man about seven months ahead of schedule as his last predicted sentence completion date was April 7, 2024.

Furthermore, as of writing this article, no official sources have spoken out about the reportedly early close to this 14-year sentence. Hopefully this is accurate information, and B.G. can return home following retribution and doing his due time responsibly. Jordan made the news early today. As a pair of his game-worn shoes went for a record-tying bid of over a million dollars. The basketball legend is now dealing with a situation in that everyone can understand his frustrations. Jordan’s mansion’s listed value is at $15 million.

According to the report, “Highland Park Police Department responded to a robbery in progress call from neighbors at the 2700 block of Point Lane around 4:10 PM on Tuesday, April 4th.” Police arrived on the scene, they witnessed seeing the young man who was arrested involving the incident. Luckily, Jordan nor anyone else was home at the time of the incident. Certainly, the former Chicago Bulls’ home isn’t easy to lose sight of. Eminem’s lyrics from “Without Me” and “The Real Slim Shady” were both referenced during a viral weather report from Houston, Texas. In the clip, meteorologist Adam Krueger follows through on a TikTok challenge to use the legendary rapper’s lyrics while reporting the weather.

“One last dry day, but guess who’s back, back again? Rain is back, tell a friend,” Krueger said referencing “Without Me.” After doing “The Real Slim Shady,” Krueger said, “You’re probably thinking, ‘Oh wait, no wait – you’re kidding. He didn’t just say what I think he did, did he?’” Eminem isn’t the only artist that Krueger has done this for. On his social media pages, he takes requests for all sorts of challenges from his followers. He’s also done Megan Thee Stallion, George Strait, DMX, The Weeknd, and more.
