Lil Wayne and Mark Cuban Share a Moment Courtside During Western Conference Finals

H.E.R., Lil Wayne, The Isley Brothers Are Set To Headline 2021 One Music Festival

As the Western Conference Finals were heating up last week, so was a beef between Lil Wayne and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.

Lil Wayne was rooting for Phoenix Suns in their second-round matchup with the Dallas Mavericks. The Suns would lose but earlier in the series, Weezy let off his feelings about Mavs superstar Luka Doncic, calling him a “ho.”

Once the Suns were blown out and bounced out of the playoffs, Mavs owner Mark Cuban found that tweet and offered one of his own, using lyrics from Wayne’s “Uproar.”

Wayne saw it and fired back: “Mark Cuban don’t make me et u smacked boy U playin w me?? I will piss in ya fkn mouth ho”

He also dropped this one that hasn’t been deleted:

Wayne’s manager Mack Maine arranged for the brief war of words to stop and now the two met courtside in San Francisco.

Wayne’s friend Skip Bayless provided some additional details.

Last weekend, melodic hip-hop artist Mr. Chicken dropped his two-track EP ‘2 Piece’ featuring singles “Runnin” and “OTW 2 The Party.” He co-hosted a packed-out release party with fellow New Jersey native DJ Drewski. The two wowed the crowd by handing out actual boxes of chicken and a large styrofoam cup of juice. Manager Stragglife-Trav is credited for the event’s rollout; a move reminiscent of Diddy’s Big-Mac introduction of Craig Mac and Notorious BIG in the early days of BadBoy Records.

MTV’s Sam Logan Denies Juliette Porter’s Claims, “Be Selective Of Who You Allow In Your Inner Circle”

Screen Shot 2022 05 19 at 5.16.20 PM

Investor, entrepreneur, and reality show star Sam Logan hasn’t been in front of the cameras much since his split from Juliette Porter, which was televised for the world to see on MTV’s Siesta Key’s season premiere. Despite Juliette’s derogatory claims, Logan says that he was never trying to make 24-year-old Porter jealous. The behind-the-scenes Kuma cannabis investor contends that he was “simply announcing the split the best way he knew how” since the two called it quits last August.

Being part of a reality show was never a priority to Sam Logan but he agreed to participate in Siesta Key with his then girlfriend Juliette Porter as a way to support her career. Unfortunately, when things went south in the relationship, Porter launched a smear campaign to make Logan appear to be a drinking and partying philanderer, but Sam says that he avoided the media and chose to take the high road for that exact reason. “Juliette and her friends have claimed that all I do is drink and party which is unfair to say. The same people criticizing me are the ones who are out every weekend, drinking and partying. Relationships don’t always work out so it’s unfair to try and point fingers when it simply just didn’t work between us.”

“I’m not the kind of person to start drama,” expresses Logan about some of Juliette’s claims in the media. “I chose to take the high road for so long but hearing these negative things she continues to say about me is bothersome because I know I put my all into that relationship while supporting her and her lifestyle.”

Porter is currently in a new relationship who she went public with in February. This leaves Logan hoping all of this can finally be put in the past. Sam says that their split was a lot more of their personal goals rather than Porter’s claims, “We’re two different people. The relationship didn’t work because she wanted one thing and I wanted something different. I feel like she has tried to turn it into this ordeal about me not being supportive, but I’ve always supported her in everything she’s done. I mean, I even went on the show for that reason.”

Report: The Academy is Open to Chris Rock Hosting the 2023 Oscars

LAPD Says Chris Rock Won't Press Charges on Will Smith

On Sunday, March 12, 2023, ABC will broadcast the 95th Annual Academy Awards, with Craig Erwich, President of Entertainment at ABC, promising that the show will be “even greater” than this year.

Speaking with Deadline, Erwich revealed that he is open to Chris Rock hosting for a third time, even after the controversial slap at this year’s ceremony.

“My assessment of the Oscars was that it was really a successful year for the show. Obviously there was a lot of controversy, which overshadowed a lot of the positive things about the show, but I was really happy with the program,” Erwich said. “Even before that very unfortunate moment, the show started off up year over year, and we came back in a big way.”

The telecast had 16.6 million viewers and performed positively across key demographics.

Erwich added, “It was the biggest bounce back of any award show this season. If you look at what they were trying to do, which is really bring entertainment back to the program, they had three amazing hosts, clips, and incredible musical performances, I thought it was a great way for the show to reclaim its place on the mantle. There’s always things to learn and we’ll endeavor to do even better next year.”

New Report Shows Black Lives Matter Has Over $40M in Assets

fbblacklivesmatter

Black Lives Matter has spent over #37 million on grants, real estate, consultants, and other expenses in recent years but still manages to have over $40 million in access.

The Associated Press received a 63-page Form 990 stating Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation Inc. has invested $32 million in stocks from the $90 million donations in 2020. Organizers say that investment will be an endowment to carry on the work of BLM for years to come.

According to the Black Lives Matter foundation, $4 million is in the operating budget, and there is $42 million in net assets. In addition, $6 million was spent on a Los Angeles headquarters in Studio City, including six bedrooms and bathrooms, a swimming pool, office space, and a soundstage. The board states the property is used for a Black artists fellowship.

Black Lives Matter does not have an executive director or in-house staff, mainly citing that it operates “as an early startup nonprofit, without substantial governance structure, that got a huge windfall.”

The BLM co-founders, Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Ayọ Tometi, have vowed to build an organization governed by the consent of the BLM chapters. You can read more of the report, including the controversy of how funds would be distributed here.

Lil Meech Arrested On Fraud And Grand Theft Charges In Miami

Screen Shot 2022 05 18 at 3.29.57 PM

According to several confirmed reports, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. has been arrested and charged with first degree organized fraud and first degree grand theft. The rising actor of Starz’ BMF series is now facing 60 years in prison if convicted.

The 22-year-old son of famed drug kingpin Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory was arrested in Miami for the charges, but being that the ranking of that type of crime in Florida is so high, it’s likely that the feds will be taking over jurisdiction of his case.

First degree organized fraud carries a sentence of up to 30 years in prison. Ironically, Big Meech is currently serving 30 years in federal prison for a controlling and overseeing a national cocaine trafficking ring.

TheSoure.com will provide more updates to this story as details develop.

[WATCH] B-Real Says Cypress Hill and Onyx Got “Shorted” by Verzuz

Screen Shot 2022 05 18 at 9.17.38 AM

With all of the fanfare surrounding the previous VERZUZ battles, it was anticipated that the face-off between two of the most iconic Hip Hop groups to date, Onyx, and Cypress Hill, would be one for the history books. Still, instead, Triller didn’t even broadcast the battle live on their IG page as was done with the previous, unprecedented shows. CH’s B-Real says the two legendary groups got played by the sponsors, and he wants answers.

The battle, which was held this past weekend in Los Angeles at The Forum, was not streamed on Instagram but instead offered up on PPV to those who wanted to see Sticky Fingaz, Fredro and Co. go up against B-Real, Sen Dog, and Muggs if you were willing to pay. Allegedly, this was because there were many boxing matches on the card, but B-Real says that is a poor excuse for not laying out the red carpet for these two award-winning groups.

“I have to say, although it was great to rock w/ our brothers @ONYX_HQ in the Verzuz battle, I feel like [VERZUZ] shorted us all by not running it on Ig live like all other battles,” he wrote. “They made it a ppv event & made the battle a side show for the boxing matches instead. IMO.”

See what B-Real had to say below.
