Jonathan Majors & Meagan Good Get Cozy In NYC Ahead Of Actor’s Trial

Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good were spotted eating out and cuddling up in New York City this week. The pair, who have been dating since the summer, were spotted at Jack’s Wife Freda for lunch before taking to the streets of the city, with Majors wrapping his arm around Good. While the couple have been spotted coast-to-coast and beyond since they got together, this might be their last date for a while.

November 29, the day after their date, marks the start of Majors’ jury trial for assault. Majors stands accused of physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, back in March. Proceedings have dragged on throughout the year, with Majors’ defense team deeming the accusations a witch hunt. However, several other women came forward with similar allegations of violence against Majors. Furthermore, a Rolling Stone investigation painted a picture of violence and manipulation that dated back as far as Majors’ time at Yale. The trial remains a developing story and we’ll have any updates as and when they emerge.

Furthermore, as Majors’ trial begins, several major consequences still hang over his head. Magazine Dreams, an upcoming drama starring Majors, will no longer be released on December 8. Speaking with CNN, Disney confirmed that the film did not currently have a release date. Searchlight Pictures, a subsidiary of Disney, acquired the distribution rights to the film after it opened to rave reviews at Sundance. Furthermore, Disney’s live-action Snow White film starring Rachel Zegler has been pushed back from March 2024 to March 2025.

Additionally, according to an extensive report from Variety, Marvel is reportedly considering what action to take over the ongoing Majors situation. At a retreat in September, studio execs discussed various backup plans if the actor is found guilty at his trial. Majors was meant to be the crux of the next era of the MCU. However, the actor’s assault charges have put that into jeopardy. While he has appeared in the most recent season of Loki, it’s likely the last time Majors will be seen in the MCU for some time. “Marvel is truly f-cked with the whole Kang angle. And they haven’t had an opportunity to rewrite until very recently [because of the WGA strike]. But I don’t see a path to how they move forward with him,” one high-ranking executive said.

N.Y.C. Declares “Wu-Tang Clan Day” On November 9th

New York City mayor Eric Adams has declared November 9th as “Wu-Tang Clan Day,” celebrating the legacy of the iconic rap group. In honor of the occasion, the Empire State Building will be lit black and yellow. Additionally, RZA, along with the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan, is also announcing a new partnership with Rock The Bells and SiriusXM.

As for why the city selected November 9th, the date marks the day RZA, GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killa, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa all teamed up to release Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The project laid a new blueprint for hip-hop for decades to come and helped usher in a new era of New York hip-hop that would inspire Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., Mobb Deep, and Jay-Z, among countless others.

For the day, N.Y.C. will be putting on several Wu-Tang-related events. RZA will be putting on The 36 Chambers 30th Anniversary Celebration at New York’s Gramercy Theatre November 7-9. His 36 Chambers company will also be hosting a pop-up shop in the East Village. There, signed copies of RZA’s graphic novel “Bobby Digital and The Pit Of Snakes”, in addition to other apparel, records, toys/collectibles will all be for sale. Further, The Hip-Hop Education Center (HHEC), Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and 36 Chambers ALC, will be hosting a screening of A Wu-Tang Experience: Live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Wednesday, November 15 at 7:00 PM.

As for RZA’s SiriusXM partnership, he will present #WuWednesdays, a new weekly show on LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells on SiriusXM channel 43. In doing so, he’ll be playing new and classic tracks from all Wu-Tang Clan members, as well as showcasing exclusive DJ mixes, interviews, and more. ASAP Bari Addresses Video Of Him Being Jumped

ASAP Bari has responded to a video of him being jumped on a basketball court in New York City. In a series of posts on his Instagram Story, he explained that one of the men in the video stole a chain from his car, prompting Bari to fight him.

In the clip, Bari trades punches with a man in a white T-shirt and red shorts. At one point, another man ambushes Bari from behind with a punch to the head followed by several more swings. After another man jumps in the scuffle, the fight is eventually broken up. “Everyday it’s something new with me from n****s hating on me to n****s [rapping] about me,” Bari wrote in response. “The best thing to do is have a great meal and get ready for another pay day.”

The video surfacing comes after ASAP Rocky dissed him at Rolling Loud Miami. While performing on stage, he switched up the lyrics to his song, “Telephone Calls,” from Cozy Tapes: Vol. 1. Instead of rapping, “Call up young lord ASAP Bari, he legit,” Rocky switched “legit” to “a bitch.” Rocky also dissed Ian Connor on the song.
