Flau’jae is averaging 13 points, and five assists on nearly 50% shooting for the 13th-best team in the country. While she is killing it on the basketball court, she is also setting the microphone on fire.

The song in question is called “Talking / Once Again” and is more of a double-track than anything else. Overall, the first half of the track features North West who has her own part. It comes across like an interlude of sorts that then transitions into “Once Again.” This track is kicked off by the likes of Ty Dolla who delivers some heavenly vocals. This quickly follows up music from Peewee Longway and NBA. For Peewee, he is coming off a short EP from late January. Lolife Longway 2 featured six tracks and no guest appearances. On the flip side, YB also dropped a single called “F**k N****z” today. The difference is Peewee’s song is currently only available on YouTube and no streaming services.

However, on this track in particular, the 24-year-old also references his legal trouble and how authorities are on him. Paired with the rapid kicks, unstoppable snares, and bouncy swing, it gives this cut a particularly murderous but still playful tone. On that last note, that’s owed mostly to the simple piano melody that the instrumental builds around.

Furthermore, this track follows another recent NBA YoungBoy single that actually hinted at a new and interesting direction. By pairing up with acclaimed producer BNYX on “BNYX Da Reaper,” he taps into more electronic and contemporary soundscapes rather than his usual, straightforward trap fare. Sure, the Baton Rouge native doesn’t switch things up much vocally, but having this different instrumentation works wonder to re-contextualize him.
