Cardi B Announces “Miami” Release Date, Raps Along To Fierce New Single

While we’re still only a few days into March, it’s already been a busy month for Cardi B. Between taste-testing new foods, buying herself designer bags, and dodging shade accusations, the femcee dropped her new track “Like What (Freestyle)” last week. So far, the fun freestyle has been a massive success, racking up millions of streams and leaving fans begging for more.

Luckily for listeners, it doesn’t look like they’ll have to wait too much longer to hear more music from Cardi B. Earlier today, the NYC-born performer took to Instagram to give listeners a taste of what’s to come, previewing yet another new song. In the short clip, she rhymes along with a snippet of the fiery track, “Miami.”

Of course, the preview has managed to get listeners excited. They expect it to drop on March 15, due to her caption. “15,” she captioned her post alongside a winking emoji. It seems as though the song will be far from the only release fans hear from Cardi B in the coming months, however. Last week, she hopped online to show off countless files of new music she’s been working on for the past year. She confirmed that it’s her new album, which she promises to deliver in full sometime in 2024.

“I promise y’all this year, I’m not letting my anxiety, I’m not letting what haters say, I’m not letting what fans say,” she declared. “If I do a song, I’ma just f***ing drop it. Moreover, he recently came through with an impressive set of flows on the Heather Grey-produced “Heaven,” which is a chill, soft key-led boom-bap beat that harkens back to cold and intimate East Coast nights in city streets. Not only that, but the Philadelphia native also enlisted similarly skilled lyricists in Homeboy Sandman and lojii, who come through with mindful and measured flows and lyrical acrobatics. This follows Roth’s previous work, such as the single “Dimma (Last Chance U).”

However, it’s very much a culture shock for folks who haven’t heard of Asher Roth in a long time, but it’s still time for this part of the narrative to become less crucial to the discussion of cuts like “Heaven.” Lyrically, this cut covers a lot of everyday struggles, slow but steady career-building, and trying to find one’s way to “heaven” despite the obstacles in one’s way. In addition, there are a lot of creative sample chops and variations throughout the beat that keep its freshness and engagement pretty afloat. Sure, it’s not a revolutionary sound or focus, but it’s done with the same sincerity and chilled demeanor that made cuts like “All Add Up” or on H.S.’ “$.”

Halle Bailey Shares Snippet Of New Single And Reveals Its Release Date

Earlier this year Halle Bailey gave birth to her first child. She and DDG had a son who they named Halo and who is already garnering some clout of his own through pictures shared to the Instagram account they made for him. Her pregnancy was kept secret for much of its duration though fan speculation ran rampant for months leading up to her eventual delivery date. But as soon as she had her baby fans began to wonder when she would be getting back to her music career.

Today fans got their answer as she officially announced the release date of a song she’s already been teasing. The track is called “In Your Hands” and fans will get to hear the full thing on March 15. For now, she treated her followers to a snippet of the song. She shared 30 seconds of the track in a video on twitter soundtracking some behind the scenes footage from her recent Essence cover shoot. Halle Bailey Shares Teaser Of Her New Song

For much of her career, Halle made music as a duo alongside her sister Chloe. But last year they both broke off into their first ever solo ventures. Chloe came first when she dropped her debut solo album In Pieces. She recruited Chris Brown, Missy Elliott, and Future to appear on the project. Despite their inclusions the album under-performed commercially.

Halle dropped her debut solo single “Angel” last year. The track has racked up more than 15 million streams on Spotify since it was first released and even netted her a Grammy nomination for best R&B Song. Spice 1 Gears Up For New LP With “Gangsta Shhh” Featuring Snoop Dogg & Rick Ross

Spice 1 has not gotten enough love on the HNHH site unfortunately. The Hayward, California rapper has been going strong since the early 90s. He gave his his first record back in 1991 to be exact with his Let It Be Known tape. With well over 20 projects to his name, he deserves a lot a credit for helping shape the West Coast sound. So, we are excited to say that he will be dropping a new record in a couple months. To help promote it, Spice 1 has just released “Gangsta Shhh” with two legends.

Those other two icons are Snoop Dogg and Rick Ross. Since we have not been keeping you up to date on his music output, here is a quick run down. The last time Spice 1 put out a new album was 2022 with Thug Therapy. However, we want to focus on 2019, which is when Platinum O.G. came out.

The latter is his latest offering following a very impressive and diverse 2023 in which those more experimentative projects dropped. One track to make a note of is MIKE’s “On God.”

Pinball is a collaboration tape that sees MIKE working with Tony Seltzer. He is also a native New Yorker like his rap counterpart, hailing from Brooklyn. The tape just dropped today, but leading up to it, there were a couple of singles released beforehand. Those included “R&B” and “Underground Kingz.”

You will be floating on a cloud after listening to this one.

Doodie Lo Talks Candid Relationship With Drugs On “Purple Nightmares”

For Doodie Lo, things have not been the greatest. The veteran MC from Illinois has been dealing with rehab and a defamation lawsuit that left him feeling suicidal. As for the first of the two personal issues, there was speculation as to why he was entered into a facility. According to Hip-Hop Lately it was because of drug problems that were heightened after the court battles with his ex FTN Bae. Thankfully, it seems that Doodie Lo is working his way back to making music as he is back with a new single, “Purple Nightmares.”

This could be a reference to the troubling year he had in 2023. He raps, “Sippin’ all that codeine, at night, I’m havin’ nightmares / Woke up in the middle of the night, my killer right there.” Luckily, his OTF crew mate Lil Durk was there for him during his time in need. He wound up paying him $110,000 to assist in his recovery.

On top of dropping this new track, Doodie Lo will also be coming through with a new album. According to the press release, it will be called What Made Me. ScHoolboy Q Is Feeling Himself On “THank God 4 Me”

One of the themes that seems to be very prevalent in ScHoolboy Q’s new album BLUE LIPS is celebration and growth. It makes sense for the California MC to be talking about this so much too. As most fans of hip-hop know, it had been five years almost since CrasH Talk. With all of that time in between albums, a person is most likely going to see a lot of change in their lives and with their approach to music as a whole.

ScHoolboy kind of spelled out for us what BLUE LIPS really means and the feelings he wanted to convey to the audience. He did so in the rollout over the past month giving us the definition of the phrase. One of the handful of descriptions included being “speechless, especially as the temporary result of shock or strong emotion.” It is safe to say that Q is left with “blue lips” with how far he has come as of late, and throughout his incredible career.

One of the tracks he expresses these feelings on is “THank god 4 me.” This song is fantastic for a few reasons. One of which is the incredible, yet sudden beat switch. It goes from low-key and minimal, to head and trunk-knocking instantaneously. The lyrics in the second half fit the hype nature of the production with loads of brags. “Big watch, n****, it’s glossy / Quick flex, gotta get off me (Yeah) / Get back, n****, you awful.” It is not the most elaborate writing from Q, but its simple nature gets his point across effectively, making for a exciting listen through and through.

MIKE & Tony Seltzer Pay Homage To UGK On New Single “Underground Kingz”: Stream

MIKE and Tony Seltzer had an incredibly prolific 2023, but it seems like they had no plans of slowing down this year. Moreover, they just dropped another collaborative single exclusively on YouTube paying homage to UGK with the new music video for “Underground Kingz.” They dropped the track “R&B” a couple of weeks ago, and this new visual’s description on the social media platform indicates that there’s more coming. The New Jersey native included the following message: “MIKE & Tony Seltzer – Pinball 3/06.” As such, it seems like we’re getting a full collab album from this duo in just a couple of days on Wednesday (March 6), which is very exciting.

Furthermore, this track definitely adds to that hype with a vibrant, sample-led, and fun beat that speeds up and slows down for a completely different instrumental. In fact, each part of “Underground Kingz” evokes a Bay Area or Detroit bounce to some fast-paced or slower degree, and is also reminiscent of UGK’s Southern roots and artistry. We’re not sure if MIKE and Tony Seltzer actually sampled them for this song, but either way, their tribute came through both sonically and lyrically. Speaking of which, the “Mayors A Cop” lyricist comes through with some really sharp bars here displaying his consistently and mindfully talented pen. On the other hand, the beatsmith cooks up an amazing and cohesive atmosphere for him to ride on.

Meanwhile, the links between these two collaborators are quite curious.
