Cam’ron Reveals He Stopped His Crew From Robbing DJ Khaled

Cam’ron took to social media yesterday (August 30), announcing that he has a new mixtape on the way. The Lost Files Vol. 1 is set to arrive on September 8. Alongside the announcement, he also shared a clip of a new track, in which he reveals that he once did DJ Khaled a major solid. According to Cam’ron, his crew was considering robbing the artist, but lucky for him, the New York native stopped them in their tracks. “Old 40th, your g-pass is not that valid/ I swear to God I stopped my young boys from robbing Khaled (another one)/ Cam did!” he rhymes.

It’s unclear when the soon-to-be robbery was set to occur, but regardless, DJ Khaled probably appreciated the favor. In the post, Cam’ron also revealed that Ma$e has finally gotten his publishing rights back from Diddy, after some time. “My n***a murder had to sit this one out,” he wrote. “He just got his publishing back from Puff. Just finished the paper work for that yesterday. Congrats @rsvpmase while he getting his music back in order, I’m dumping my hard drive pause. The lost files vol 1. Sept 8.”

In the clip, he’s seen purchasing some new equipment to get the show up and running. “It was just an idea, but I believed,” he captioned the clip. It’s clear from the throwback post how far the show has managed to come in less than a year. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Cam’ron.

Coi Leray Takes Shots At Latto And Trippie Redd On Her “Blue Moon” EP

Coi Leray might be feeling herself, but she deserves it. Hot off the release of her brand new EP Blue Moon on August 30, the Boston, Massachusetts-born rapper talks a lot about her career. After a disappointing response from fans and critics on her last album, she wanted to stick to her guns and put out material she excels with. “The EP, I get deep, I get vulnerable. I got tired of “trying” new things and wanted to just do what I do BEST.” You can check out more information on the project here.

Now that the EP is here, fans and listeners are taking the time to look more into the lyrical content. Sure enough, people are starting to notice there are some shots being sent towards a few artists in particular. The most glaring one is Latto, who took a figurative body shot at Leray on her popular track “Put It On Da Floor.” Latto raps, “Smoking on that gas blunt big as Coi Leray / Bitches like to run they mouth, but I’m the type to run a fade.” Coi did not take that diss lightly responding, “Please do not come on here and talk about nobody BODY. Lol like seriously . Out of all things . Lmaooo ya blunt my size ? Lmaooo this s*** is never ending. These b*****s wanna be like the n***** so bad.”

Take A Listen To Coi Leray’s “Isabel Marant:”

Trippie Redd was also caught in the crossfire, as he used to date Coi Leray. The bar that has people talking is on the song “Isabel Marant.” She raps, “Yeah, I’m on they a** / Hop out on that couch and roll up Latto out the bag / I don’t need a stylist, they can’t f*** with Coi Leray / Try to count me out and now I’m big as Trippie Redd.” It is certainly a diss towards the two rappers. More beef could be coming down the pipeline, so stay tuned.

What are your initial thoughts on the song “Isabel Marant” by Coi Leray? Did you catch the shots at Trippie Redd and Latto on the first listen? Why do you think she fired back at Latto? We want to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Hopsin And The Future Kingz Tell A Tale About An “Origin Story” On Their New Single

Los Angeles, California-born rap legend Hopsin is back with more new music for this year. In fact, this is his fifth single and the title of it is “Origin Story.” It features Chicago dance and rap group The Future Kingz. Eminem has heavily influenced the career of Hopsin. Over the years, the 38-year-old has penned “Stan-like” tracks of his own in the series of “Ill Mind of Hopsin.” It currently sits at nine songs with the two most popular being the fifth and eighth installments. But, Hopsin now adds another storytelling track to his catalog with “Origin Story.”

Hopsin And The Future Kingz Drop The Music Video Watch:

The track sort of takes us back in time to when Hopsin was trying to become the rapper he is today. The beat is epic, with orchestral-like vocals in the background and a nasty trap beat. Those two genres together make for an epic backdrop to Hopsin’s story of making it big. The Future Kingz also rap about similar things in the second half. All in all, it is another solid offering from Hopsin. He has not released a new album in nearly six years, with No Shame coming out in November of 2017.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new single from Hopsin and The Future Kingz, “Origin Story?” Who has the best verse on this track? Is Hopsin one of the best lyricists in hip-hop history? Sleepy Hallow And TaTa Have A New Single “For You”

Jamaican-born and Brooklyn-raised rapper Sleepy Hallow grabs TaTa for a brand new single. The song, “For You,” is two minutes even and it features a chorus and verse from guest rapper TaTa. Sleepy comes in for the second verse only, surprisingly. However, he still puts on a nice performance when he does appear. This single seems to appear on the next project from Sleepy Hallow. Genius shows on their website the name and cover art, with the title being Boy Meets World.

The website says that it should be released on September 15. That means it will be Sleepy’s fourth studio album and first since 2021. The last project, Still Sleep? features his biggest hit “2055.” The song currently sits at a whopping 644 million plus streams on Spotify. This fourth single of 2023, “For You,” showcases the lane that Hallow is strongest in. His drill rap style mixed with emotional bars is prevalent once again.

Sleepy Hallow “For You” Featuring TaTa Listen:

The beat is very simple and typical drill fare. The lyrics talk a lot about suffering pain, losing love, and trying to find that inner confidence again. The sad guitar strings add to the dramatic tone. Furthermore, this is the first time these two artists have been on a track together. But, fans are loving the new song underneath the YouTube audio, “nah sleepy x tata is INSANE.”

️What are your initial thoughts on this brand new track from Sleepy Hallow and TaTa, “For You?” Should these two artists collaborate more often? Who has the best performance on this track? Earthgang Explore What Would Happen If They “Die Today” On New Single

Earthgang, the duo of Johnny Venus and Doctor Dot, are back with a new single. They’re continuing to follow up last year’s underrated gem GHETTO GODS, an album with a stacked feature list. Future, J. Cole, JID, Musiq Soulchild, Baby Tate, Lynae Vanee, CeeLo Green, Nick Cannon, and Ari Lennox all make appearances on the album. A few months after its release it got a deluxe version that added performances from Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, Smino, and Blxckie. Now the duo are transitioning into a new era with their second single of 2023, “Die Today.”

The song is a bit more of a somber change of pace from the duo’s previous track. It sees the pair musing on what would happen if they died today, asking questions on the chorus like “would you kiss my face” or “give my cold heart away.” The more serious subject matter is nothing new for the pair who have often worn their emotions on their sleeves. The song also comes with an extended version that features a further instrumental outro heightening the emotion. Check out the song itself below.

Earthgang Get Personal Once Again

Earthgang’s previous new song “Bobby Boucher” was a team-up with fellow Spillage Village member Benji. The track paid tribute to Adam Sandler’s famous character of the same name in the film The Waterboy. Clearly, it was a fitting tribute, as Sandler himself gave his approval to the track’s accompanying music video.

Earthgang hasn’t been quiet this year. They’ve appeared as features on two other artists’ new songs. They teamed up with Forest Claudette back in March for a track called “Mess Around.” Later they joined Daya on a song by EDM outfit Snakehips called “Sometimes.” It was the second time they teamed up with Snakehips following their infectious 2021 link-up “Run It Up.” What do you think of Earthgang’s new song “Die Today”? Let us know in the comment section below.

Armand Hammer is a rap duo that consists of high-level lyricists billy woods and E L U C I D. Billy heralds from Washington D.C. while E L U C I D is from Jamaica, Queens, New York. They are well-known in the underground scene floating on top of some pretty experimental production. So naturally, they brought on JPEGMAFIA for the production of their new single called, “Armand Hammer Teams Up With JPEGMAFIA For “Woke Up And Asked Siri How I’m Gonna Die.”

Armand Hammer Eat Up The Beat

Both billy woods and E L U C I D ride the production very nicely. The atmosphere from the beginning is a little eerie. However, it mellows out allowing for the lyrics to shine from Armand Hammer.Life’s a trip, if you live long enough you gon’ see it all / Life’s a blip, I flew in under the radar / Beat up spaceships, sliding under the light of a dead star / Still made my shift, appropriately lit for the graveyard.” JPEG continues to add his toolbelt with another great effort on the beat.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new single from E L U C I D, billy woods, JPEGMAFIA, “Woke Up and Asked Siri How I’m Gonna Die?” Who has the best verse on the song, billy or E L U C I D?
