After taking quite a long break, Australian multi-talent The Kid LAROI has been constantly feeding his starving fan base. 2023 was perhaps his biggest and most important year of his still young career. Especially after all of the hype around him in 2021, there was a crowd out there starting to move on from the Juice WRLD protege. Last year he put out his debut album, THE FIRST TIME, and had a big-time placement on the Barbie soundtrack with “Forever & Again.”
Now in 2024, The Kid LAROI is stepping into the world of film with his documentary. It is currently available on Prime Video as of February 29, essentially giving us a behind the scenes look at how the Aussie became such a megastar. According to the press release, Justin Bieber is also featured in the biopic, as LAROI sits down with another one of his idols to talk about their relationship and hit song “STAY.” To help bring more hype around this project, the 20-year-old is back to deliver the previously teased “Still Yours.”
Listen To “Still Yours (From The Doc)” By The Kid LAROI
This marks LAROI’s second single of the year as he dropped “HEAVEN,” which will land on the deluxe of THE FIRST TIME. “Still Yours” was in the trailer for KIDS ARE GROWING UP: A STORY ABOUT A KID NAMED LAROI, and it displays themes of another rough break-up. Produced by Omer Fedi, a star in his own right and frequent collaborator, brings a familiar acoustic guitar instrumental to the table. Be sure to check it out above.
What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Still Yours,” by The Kid LAROI? Is this one of his better tracks as of late, why or why not? What is your favorite element of the song and why? Quotable Lyrics:
A million times I said sorry But lookin’ back, it’s not all me I tried to act like I wasn’t hurt Just see in my eyes, I can’t hide it And I try to leave it on pleasant terms Every time your name comеs up, there’s dirt
It really is not a secret anymore that for most hip-hop fans, DaBaby has gotten stale. His 2022 sequel record, Baby On Baby 2, left quite a sour taste in people’s mouths. Especially after the first installment had more memorable tracks like “Suge,” “Goin Baby,” “Baby Sitter,” and more. However, 2024 could be the year DaBaby turns things around.
The Cleveland, Ohio born rapper is back with his first solo release since his three track EP LET’S DO IT. That dropped back in October, so fans have been patiently waiting. “GRAMMY PARTY” sees DaBaby go insanely wild, as he raps with blistering speed over a bassy beat. He really packs a lot of words into each line, showcasing his technical abilities.
However, this is not DaBaby’s only release of the year. He has been busy in the feature department, working with artists like That Mexican OT and Icewear Vezzo. While this is his first streaming release in a few months, DaBaby has been dropping quite a bit on YouTube. About three weeks ago he rapped over one of JAY-Z’s most famous beats of all-time, “Public Service Announcement.”
What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “GRAMMY PARTY,” by DaBaby? Is this one of his better tracks as of late, why or why not? What is your favorite element of the song and why? How long do you think we will have to wait for his next album? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. It looks like 2024 will be a major year for former Brockhampton member Matt Champion, who dropped off his second solo offering of this month earlier this week. Towards the beginning of February, the performer teamed up with Dijon to unleash the melancholy single “Aphid.” Now, the Texas-born performer has delivered yet another atmospheric track, “Slug.”
The bright single also arrives alongside a creative accompanying music video, which sees the performer covered in slime, dancing in a clear plastic bubble in the woods. Eventually, he’s joined by several other dancers, who confidently strut around him as he crawls around on the ground looking out of place. The fun, danceable track is grounded by heartfelt lyrics about pining for someone to love, and being willing to do anything to keep them around.
Matt Champion Unveils Second Solo Single Of The Month
The release of “Slug” has certainly managed to impress fans, who are now flooding Matt Champion’s comments section with demands for more new music. Luckily for them, it appears as though he has additional releases on the way. “Stay tuned for more from Matt Champion soon,” a recent press release advises. It remains unclear whether or not the performer has any plans for a full project anytime soon. Regardless, fans are glad to see him broadening his artistic horizons with his latest solo releases.
What do you think of Matt Chamption’s new single? What about the accompanying music video? Will you be adding “Slug” to your playlist? Are you looking forward to hearing more new music from Matt Champion in the near future? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
Quotable Lyrics:
I want someone And that someone just happens to be you I won’t leave you No matter what you do Oh, ahhh, I just want your love Oh, ahhh, won’t you be my slug?
Rather than letting the gossip circulating about him and Diddy in the news get him down, Meek Mill is capitalizing on his moment in the spotlight. He’s not bothering himself with allegations in a recent lawsuit about allegedly being sexually intimate with Sean Combs (who was linked to Usher and Stevie J in the same documents). Instead, the Philadelphia native wants to keep all ears on his lyrical abilities, which he proudly shows off on today’s (February 29) HEATHENISM EP.
The five-track effort includes two collaborations, “Whatever I Want” alongside Fivio Foreign and “Giving Chanel” with Future. Meek handles the other three titles by himself with total confidence, and for our music panel, we’re highlighting his bars on “Times Like This.” Over production by OthelloBeats and Gabe Lucas, the Dream Chaser reflects on how much life has changed for him since first coming up in the rap game.
Meek Mill Remains Focused On Music Amid Diddy Rumours
“I’m on the chopper, me and Rubin, and I’m exactly where I belong / Came up trappin’ out the phone, these ni**as weren’t happy I was home,” he spits prior to a “Dreams & Nightmares” shoutout. “You ever make a bad decision? Ni**as happy that you wrong? / I used to pray for times like this, you can’t even imagine what I be on, ni**a.”
Before showing us how he’s moving in 2024, Meek Mill closed out 2023 with a collaborative album in tandem with Rick Ross. Too Good To Be True remains in rotation for many hip-hop heads since arriving last November, but if you haven’t tuned in already, you can do so at the link below. Make sure to check back in with HNHH this weekend for more of our new music recommendations.

Now that we are more than halfway through the first quarter of 2024, we are starting to get some quality hip hop albums, as well as announcements for upcoming releases. More artists are preparing upcoming albums, along with tour dates and festival appearances. Nowadays, we never know who is gearing up to drop as artists often surprise release their albums with no prior announcements. Anticipations for new albums are high in the hip hop world, with many rappers being overdue for dropping new releases.
Looking ahead to the rest of the year, there are several long-awaited hip hop albums that are highly anticipated by passionate fans. Today, we are looking at seven hip hop albums fans are dying to be released in 2024. These selections include projects that have been teased for a long time, with some confirmed titles and others to be announced. Take a look at the list below.
It is hard to believe that it has been almost six years since A$AP Rocky’s last album. Since TESTING, he spent time in Swedish prison, launched his own brand of whiskey, modeled for various brands, and fathered two children with Rihanna. Aside from his personal life, business ventures, and legal troubles, Rocky has been teasing a new album for a while. Originally announced back in 2019 as All Smiles, the title has been updated to Don’t Be Dumb as of 2022. Though the album has not yet materialized, A$AP Rocky has steadily fed his fanbase with new music.
Tracks like “Babushka Boi,” “D.M.B,” “Sh*ttin’ Me,” “Same Problems,” and “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n)” have helped build excitement for the album over the years. Additionally, Rocky has also worked with Nas, Swedish House Mafia, Westside Gunn, Kid Cudi, and many more between releases. Along with loose singles and various collaborations, Rocky has teased new unreleased material at his live shows, including a song with Skepta and a track supposedly titled “Taylor Swift.” A$AP Rocky’s musical output and plethora of unreleased material has fans dying for a new album. Hopefully, the six year wait will end in 2024.
Clipse – TBD
Pusha T ended his latest album, 2022’s It’s Almost Dry with a very blatant hint about rejoining Clipse with his brother, Malice. “The past ten years, screamin’, ‘Uno’ then side step back into the duo,” he raps on “I Pray For You.” Delivering a stellar guest verse, Malice displays that his skills have not wavered since his last solo album. “I Pray For You” was not the first Clipse reunion. Pusha T and Malice previously teamed up on Kanye West’s faith-driven “Use This Gospel.” They also teamed up for the Neptunes-produced “Punch Bowl” from Nigo’s 2022 compilation. Malice notably returned to his old moniker, signifying the reunion between brothers.
Clipse have not released an album since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops. Recently, the duo has been actively promoting their reunion. They have performed as a duo, appeared together at fashion shows, and conducted interviews about their next steps. “That would be awesome,” Pusha T told Noah Callahan-Bever when asked about the possibility of a Clipse album in 2024. While there has been no official announcement, their activity as a duo suggests that there might be a new album on the way.
J. Cole has been teasing The Fall Off since titling his KOD outro track “1985” as the “Intro to ‘The Fall Off.’” His supposed final album concludes an elaborate timeline that included guest features, Revenge Of The Dreamers III, 2021’s The Off-Season, and an unknown project called It’s A Boy. J. Cole continued to reference The Fall Off during his epic feature run of 2023. He specifically addressed its status on collaborations with Summer Walker and Drake. It looks like The Fall Off will arrive sooner than we think as Cole recently confirmed the album is near completion and shared a snippet of a new song. As each guest feature and glimpse of new music continues to build excitement for J. Cole’s next release, The Fall Off has become one of 2024’s most anticipated hip hop albums.
Jay Rock
With Top Dawg Entertainment revealing its busy release schedule, many of its premier artists are slated to drop new music. Jay Rock’s next project is one of 2024’s most anticipated hip hop albums. He has not released an album since 2018’s Redemption, with the six year gap being the longest gap between projects. Last year, Rock told Bootleg Kev to expect “no skips,” setting the bar quite high for his next album. Luckily, the latest singles that Jay Rock has shared are quite promising, signifying that he will deliver on his highly anticipated next album.
Since the release of Eve back in 2019, Rapsody has remained relatively quiet on the music front. Throughout the past five years, she has contributed occasional guest verses to projects from Reason, Busta Rhymes, and T.I. She also released “12 Problems” for Roc Nation’s Reprise compilation in 2020. Rapsody has acknowledged the absence of new music, using fan tweets for the rollout of her next album. “#WheresTheAlbum?” and “#RapIsBack,” she tagged in her photos of promotional billboards in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fans are clearly eager for a new Rapsody album in 2024, for which she appears to be gearing up. The release of her latest single, “Asteroids” suggests that it will arrive sooner than later.
Run The Jewels – RTJ5
While promoting his Grammy Award-winning album, Michael, Killer Mike provided an update on the next Run The Jewels project. In an interview with High Times, he said, “The album is literally two days away. I have to go in tonight and change two lines on a song. I’m just waiting for some drums from No I.D. and we’re done.” Last year, Killer Mike and El-P celebrated the tenth anniversary of their first album as Run The Jewels, performing four shows in four cities that correspond to each of their studio albums. Following the “RTJX” show run and Killer Mike’s sweep at this year’s Grammys, fans will hopefully not have to wait too long for RTJ5.
Stove God Cooks
Stove God Cooks’s debut album, Reasonable Drought shook the underground scene upon its release in 2020. The Roc Marciano-produced project introduced fans to his melodic and humorous rap style. Unfortunately, he has yet to release a follow-up. Stove God Cooks has capitalized on the success of his debut and contributed guest features to some of the biggest underground releases in recent times. The Syracuse rapper’s second full-length project is one of hip hop’s most anticipated albums. Cooks’s latest Conductor WIlliams-produced single, “Melo Chip and a Brick,” hopefully signifies that it will finally drop in 2024, satisfying his rapidly-growing fanbase.
Meek Mill apparently has some new music on the way soon. The collection of tracks is called HEATHENISM and he made the announcement on Instagram earlier today. It’s unclear how many songs he’s dropping but he did reveal that he has complete ownership of all of them. “HEATHENISM PACK drop tomorrow fully owned by me!!!!!!! All music owned by me!!!!!! 10 comments and it drop early!!!!” he captioned the post. He certainly didn’t have any trouble making it to 10 comments though.
Fans rushed to the comment section of the post to seek out an explanation from Meek. They were looking for him to comment on recent rumors connecting his name to a recent lawsuit filed against Diddy by a former producer. The suit claims that he was told Diddy had sexual relations with musicians like Stevie J, Usher, and even Meek Mill. Though they weren’t named directly fans were quickly able to put the pieces together on who the suit was talking about. As you’d expect most of the comments on the post have more to do with the rumors than the new music. Check out the full announcement post and fan reactions to it below.
“N*gga had all this time to drop music and chose now” one of the top comments on the post jokes. Elsewhere others are just looking for an explanation from the rapper. “Nah where them Twitter fingers at b lol we need answers lol” and “I’m sayin meek, them boys lyin ?” two other comments read. Meek did respond to the situation on Twitter but skirted actually addressing the allegations directly. Instead, he took aim at DJ AKADEMIKS for being the one to bring up the accusations publicly during a stream where he looked through the lawsuit.
What do you think of Meek Mill announcing new music right after rumors came out linking him to the Diddy lawsuit? Do you think he’s trying to distract fans from the accusations made against him in the suit? Let us know in the comment section below.
ZelooperZ is a perfect example of crazy done right. The Detroit rapper is one to not do things normal compared to the rest of the talent from the blue-collar city. He emits the same energy as a Danny Brown for example. If you like his approach to hip-hop then you will certainly jive with him as well. The veteran ZelooperZ is back with his first solo single release since 2021 with “Smearious.”
Last year, the 30-year-old MC was pretty active in 2023. After not dropping an album since 2021, ZelooperZ went on a rampage delivering a solo tape Microphone Fiend, and Quazel, a collaboration with Quadie Diesel. He also delivered a ton of features as well. Some of his most notable include his contributions to the Valee and MVW team tape with the track “Pistachio.”
“Smearious” is a banger at its core with trunk-knocking production coming from Dilip. What adds a little extra zing and pizzaz to the song is the saxophone bits that transition nicely into some killer horn sections. ZelooperZ brings the energy you come to expect and it is a perfect mix. Be sure to check it out with the link above.
What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Smearious,” by ZeeloperZ? Is this one of his best performances on a track as of late, why or why not? What was your favorite element of the song and why? Is he one of the most entertaining voices in hip-hop right now? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding ZeeloperZ. Quotable Lyrics:
B****, this smear too serious These b*****s way too curious Boston to Georgia, I smuggle it in through the interior Stuck in the matrix, all I see is green like Venetta Who me? N**** barkin’ up the wrong tree like Old Yeller Yemen Cafe, no Saudi Arabia
Real Bad Man, a hip-hop producer by the name of Adam Weissman, is also a founder of the streetwear brand of the same name. He also had a huge hand in Stüssy, Union and Undefeated. The Los Angeles, California native has been making beats since the turn of the 2020 decade and has been working with some of the best underground rappers in the business. Today, he, Lukah, and billy woods are teaming up for “The Initiates Piece.”
Weissman really impressed us with his Bad Newscollaboration tape with Blu. So, we are naturally amped for this new project coming on March 29. We have no word on features or tracklist yet, but expect that to come later next month. This is also exciting because this is our first time covering Lukah and he really is someone we cannot wait to bring more of.
Listen To “The Initiates Piece” By Real Bad Man, Lukah, & Billy Woods
Both billy and Lukah have tremendous chemistry, trading great verses. Bad Man’s production is also a standout with the lowkey guitar riffing amongst the heavy drums. The rhymes are complex, and the flows are on point. This is something we come to expect from Real Bad Man’s projects, so we are amped to hear what is to come.
What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “The Initiates Piece,” by Real Bad Man, Lukah, and billy woods? Does this have you excited for Temple Needs Water, why or why not? Who had the strongest performance on the track? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Real Bad Man, Lukah, and billy woods. Quotable Lyrics:
It’s a war zone where I from every day and night I braced for impact Before we learned reading and writing we were trained for combat And to violently interact with each other the villages diffract And for every gun clapped is another baby that’s born trapped With damaged nerve tracts yea we’re lost and drown in incompetence For some reason I fail when it comes to attaining consciousness
Last year, prolific rappers billy woods and E L U C I D teamed up once again as Armand Hammer for a new album called We Buy Diabetic Test Strips. The project was a huge favorite among experimental rap fans and one of the most acclaimed hip-hop records of the year. Now, the pair have returned with a deluxe expansion of the album. The new version dropped on streaming earlier this week and while it only has one additional song, it’s quite a substantial addition.
The track is called Doves and it features singer Benjamin Booker. Booker also co-produced the song alongside regular Armand Hammer collaborator Kenny Segal. Segal actually worked with billy woods on an entire collaborative album last year called Maps in addition to his work on Test Strips. While the pair are no strangers to experimentation this is one of their most out there songs yet. The track spans nearly 9 minutes and a large part of its first half is taken up by an ambient introduction. The track was also dropped alongside an ominous black and white music video. something the pair don’t do often. Check out the full experimental new cut from billy and E L U C I D below.
Earlier this year, Armand Hammer announced a new vinyl-only album. The project was exclusively being released in physical format. It was even further limited by the fact that fans could only purchase it at the duo’s live shows. The increased rarity of the project makes it a sought after collectors item among fans.
What do you think of the new Armand Hammer and Benjamin Booker song “Doves?” Do you think it should have been included on the original tracklist of We Buy Diabetic Test Strips? Let us know in the comment section below.
Earlier this week, Lil Durk took some shots at the way XXL magazine handled his new song. Over the weekend he dropped the track “Old Days” which sees him reflecting on all of the behavior he used to do but has had to move on from in order to grow. The song discusses a number of different developments in Durk’s life across many years, but XXL chose to focus on just one thing when they covered the song. The publication highlighted the fact that Durk admitted to selling Percocets.
Clearly, Lil Durk thought that was an underwhelming way to recap the new song that ignored much of what was said. “This the only bar you heard???” he said in a tweet directed at the publication. That phrase is clearly becoming somewhat of a rallying cry for Durk and during a recent show he doubled down. He’s currently touring alongside Drake and J. Cole in the second leg of the “It’s All A Blur” tour. When they stopped in Cleveland recently Durk came prepared to make another statement. Pictures are making the round right now of him holding up red signs sporting the same phrase “That’s the only bar you heard?” Check out the pictures of the new signs from his recent show below.
Earlier this month, Lil Durk took home his first ever Grammy. He and J. Cole teamed up for the hit song “All My Life” last year. The track went on to take home the Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance. In an interview he gave during the awards he cited Beyonce as one of his dream collaborators. He hilariously declared that if he made a song with Bey he would be back at the Grammys again.
During that same interview Durk teased yet another collaboration with Morgan Wallen. He’s already worked with the country superstar on two tracks. What do you think of Lil Durk once again taking aim at XXL for the way they covered his new song? Let us know in the comment section below.
