Timbaland has made some incredible music over the years. The legendary producer has worked with some of the biggest pop and rap artists of all time. That being said, he is still working hard on his craft, and fans are always excited to hear what he is going to do next. Overall, he is someone who always brings a unique sound to what he does. Consequently, he has been able to attract a wide variety of artists into his sphere. Two of these artists are Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake.

Back in the day, these three worked together quite a bit. However, it has been quite a while since any of them have linked up. Although that has changed as recently, Timbaland revealed all three would be on a song together. This was great news for fans of these artists, especially those who grew up during the 2000s. Today, the song, which is called “Keep Going Up,” dropped on YouTube and streaming services.

This song is a modern take on the sound that these three were doing back in 2007 and 2008. Sure, it’s not exactly the same, but when all three of these names link up on a track, you can’t help but think about that time. Doja Cat has been very adamant about wanting to change up her style. Overall, she has mostly been known for her pop-rap styling. This has also included forays into R&B from time to time. However, Doja is looking to get rid of the pop label. Now, she wants to be a much edgier artist who is known for taking risks. Moreover, she is looking to ditch some of her pop fans who she believes have fallen for a “lesser” style of music.

This is all well and good, although fans felt like tracks such as “Paint The Town Red” were just yet another extension of what she’s already been doing. With her new album Scarlet dropping on September 22nd, fans want to see something a bit different. Well, on Friday, that is exactly what she gave us with the track “Demons.” This song had actually leaked on Twitter already, however, we now have the full version right in front of us.

Doja Cat Brings The Energy

Interestingly enough, the track sounds like something you would hear from the likes of Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar. From the horn sections to the flows, there is a lot of “Melodic Blue” in here. Although, Doja puts her own spin on which leads to a pretty cool track. There are some great flows here and the lyrics are what you would expect from this new, edgier version of Doja.

Thankfully, it was revealed earlier this week that Wayne would be coming through with a brand-new song called “Kat Food.” Given the name of the track, fans were very curious as to what we would be getting here. Over the course of his career, Wayne has given a plethora of different flows, production choices, and overall sounds. That said, every new Wayne single always seems to give us something special. With this track, there is some interesting production that feels a bit off-kilter at the beginning. Timbaland Teases Fans With Conway The Machine Collab From New Project

Timbaland’s new era is about to be underway. Last week he announced that he was reuniting with former collaborators Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado for a new single and it’s coming very soon. The song is called “Keep Going Up” and will be released tomorrow September 1. It’s the first single off a new EP called Textbook Timbo that Timbaland will be releasing soon. To continue generating hype for the project he’s teased fans with another voice who will appear, Conway The Machine.

While Textbook Timbo doesn’t have an official release date yet, Timbaland has made it clear that the project is coming soon. In a new Instagram post he shared another piece of music from the forthcoming EP with fans. “Get familiar. Coming like a thief in the night,” he says in the video before playing a snippet of the song for fans. “TEXTBOOK TIMBO Ep coming asap!!!!!! 9.1.23. The kickoff,” the caption of his post reads. Conway The Machine features on the song he previews and Conway himself showed up in the comments to hype it up. “it’s gettin spooky!!!” the rapper’s comment reads. Check out the full video below.

Hype for Timbaland’s new project has been building ever since pictures of him in the studio with Timberlake and Furtado first hit the internet. That also came after Nelly Furtado teased the pair’ had new music ‘s forthcoming new music all the way back in July. The song is arriving soon with a lot of hype built up as a result.

Timbaland has never been afraid to shout out other producers and one in particular was on his mind recently. Doja Cat Posts New Album Cover After Allegations Of Copying Another Artist

Doja Cat’s highly anticipated new album is arriving soon. After dropping a pair of singles and teasing the project all year fans are more than ready to hear an entire new project from the versatile rapper and singer. That excitement rose even more when she posted the album artwork to social media for fans to pour over. The simple pink spider on a white background didn’t leave much to dig through, but perceptive fans still noticed something.

The album cover Doja Cat shared bore a striking resemblance to another used by German metal band Chaver. Not only do both covers sport the same pink spider but both albums are set to be released on the same day, September 22. As it turns out both pieces were made by the same artist, named Dusty Ray. As a result of the confusion, it seems that Doja has decided to change her album cover to something new. She deleted the original Instagram post and replaced it with a new album cover of a different spider. Check out the new artwork below.

This isn’t the only time artwork has led to controversy for Doja Cat recently. The art for her upcoming new single “Demons” came under fire by many fans claiming that it was demonic or satanic. When Doja hit back she didn’t mince words. She compared fans who had issues with her artwork to those who couldn’t even handle Goosebumps.

Doja Cat also doesn’t have the level of fan support she used to. That’s because she picked a fight against her own fanbase over their “kittenz” label. She refused to back down repeatedly calling out fans online and ultimately resulting in her losing over 250k followers. Despite the large exodus of some of her most diehard fans, she didn’t seem very bothered. In an interview following the affair, she described the whole experience as freeing. Coi Leray Takes Shots At Latto And Trippie Redd On Her “Blue Moon” EP

The most glaring one is Latto, who took a figurative body shot at Leray on her popular track “Put It On Da Floor.” Latto raps, “Smoking on that gas blunt big as Coi Leray / Bitches like to run they mouth, but I’m the type to run a fade.” Coi did not take that diss lightly responding, “Please do not come on here and talk about nobody BODY. Lol like seriously . Out of all things . Lmaooo ya blunt my size ? Lmaooo this s*** is never ending. These b*****s wanna be like the n***** so bad.”

Trippie Redd was also caught in the crossfire, as he used to date Coi Leray. The bar that has people talking is on the song “Isabel Marant.” She raps, “Yeah, I’m on they a** / Hop out on that couch and roll up Latto out the bag / I don’t need a stylist, they can’t f*** with Coi Leray / Try to count me out and now I’m big as Trippie Redd.” It is certainly a diss towards the two rappers. Eminem has heavily influenced the career of Hopsin. Over the years, the 38-year-old has penned “Stan-like” tracks of his own in the series of “Ill Mind of Hopsin.” It currently sits at nine songs with the two most popular being the fifth and eighth installments. Each sits at over 88 million streams on Spotify and they detail a lot of issues that have gone on in the rapper’s career. But, Hopsin now adds another storytelling track to his catalog with “Origin Story.”

Jamaican-born and Brooklyn-raised rapper Sleepy Hallow grabs TaTa for a brand new single. The song, “For You,” is two minutes even and it features a chorus and verse from guest rapper TaTa. Sleepy comes in for the second verse only, surprisingly. However, he still puts on a nice performance when he does appear. This single seems to appear on the next project from Sleepy Hallow. Genius shows on their website the name and cover art, with the title being Boy Meets World.

The website says that it should be released on September 15. That means it will be Sleepy’s fourth studio album and first since 2021. The last project, Still Sleep? features his biggest hit “2055.” The song currently sits at a whopping 644 million plus streams on Spotify. This fourth single of 2023, “For You,” showcases the lane that Hallow is strongest in. His drill rap style mixed with emotional bars is prevalent once again.

The beat is very simple and typical drill fare. The lyrics talk a lot about suffering pain, losing love, and trying to find that inner confidence again.
