Flo Milli Gets Bad In Her New Single “BDC”

Flo Milli is back with her first new single since last month. The track is called “BDC” which stands for Bad Girls Club as she repeats on the hook. It’s a hard-hitting anthem for the bad girls out there, which is an impressive change of pace from her previous track. The accompanying music video for the song has already racked up more than 10k views in just a few hours. Last month she dropped the more reserved “Chocolate Rain” flexing her versatility from the most intense to the most intimate.

Both these songs as well as some other’s Flo Milli has released this year are teasing towards a new album. While the album doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet it does have a title and it follows in line with the rapper’s previous work. Fine Ho, Stay was announced back in July and fans are still hoping that it comes out later this year. Flo has also had a pretty productive 2023, though it’s unclear which of her singles and collaborations may appear on the new album’s tracklist. Check out the music video for her new single below.

Key Glock Drops Off “Murder & Millions”

Memphis rapper Key Glock is buzzing right now. It seems that another new project in the Glockoma series is close to dropping. We already got Glockoma 2 earlier this year in February. Glock has not confirmed an official release date just yet, but it has to be fairly soon.

He began teasing fans a few days ago on his Instagram. Glock posted a picture of the album cover with a caption. It read, “G L O C K T O B E R 🎃 Stay tuned… 👀🫣🧡🔥🔥🔥” With the name, color scheme, and the emojis used, one can assume we will have the next project on or by Halloween.

Key got the fans even more ready with the release of the lead single just last week. It was a sequel to “No Hook,” simply titled “No Hook 2.” Now, we have another track, “Murders & Millions.” He raps over a sinister beat with a soulful sample flip. The kick drums and 808s are extremely crisp, just as you would expect from Mr. Glock.

Will this album be Key Glock’s best yet? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Bad Bunny’s First Week Sales Lower Than Projected, Offset & Ken Carson Do Impressive Numbers

October has undeniably been one of the biggest months that rap has had in 2023 so far, namely due to the long-awaited arrival of Drake’s For All The Dogs. When the father of one finally put that out for his fans, many others felt more comfortable sharing their work, knowing they wouldn’t disappear beneath Drizzy. The next weekend, Bad Bunny shared his surprise LP, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Manana, which was initially projected to sell 200 – 225K copies in its first week out.

On Friday (October 20), the final numbers came in, revealing that Benito fell short of Hits Daily Double‘s estimate by a few thousand. Instead, his album moved 8K in pure sales plus 174K in streaming, totalling 183K. Elsewhere in the world of hip-hop, Offset impressed us by selling 70K album-equivalent units of his latest solo project, SET IT OFF. Far more of his came from pure sales (26K) than we saw with Bunny, crediting just 43K to streaming.

We also saw noteworthy efforts from Ken Carson and Westside Gunn appear on this week’s chart. The former sold 49K copies of A Great Chaos, while the latter moved 20K of And Then They Pray For You. The Griselda hitmaker faced some backlash over his work, but he was quick to address the haters on social media before focusing energy back on his big plans for the future.

Carson impressed plenty of music lovers with his A Great Chaos project, including Drake. The Canadian gave him a co-sign on Instagram, which obviously means the world to an up-and-comer at this time. Read more about that at the link below, and let us know which new album from October has been your favourite so far in the comments.

Fans’ first look at what Scooter’s project was going to sound like came all the way back in early February of this year. “Come Eat Wit Us,” features EST GEE and he is one of a few features on here. Wu-Tang Clan Come Together For “Claudine” With Nicole Bus And Mathematics

Legendary rap posse Wu-Tang Clan is back with a brand-new single for the first time in a long time. In fact, it has technically been three years since their last single, “Hi.” It did receive a remix in 2021 with UNKLE. Other than that though, the New York group has stood silent. Sadly, it does not feature a ton of the members, but Method Man and Ghostface Killah do make appearances.

On the Wu-Tang Clan’s Instagram account, they began teasing a comeback of sorts. It began a little over a day ago with them sharing the cover art of the track. “Claudine coming Friday.. the saga continues..” This message confused some fans. One person said, “Is this a song, a whole album, or a movie?” Another shared the same sentiment, “Is this a f*****g record?” The cover was uploaded in black and white.

Shortly after, it donned a yellow and black color palette. Finally, on the day of its release, Wu-Tang shared the official artwork. “Claudine” also features some nice guest singing from Nicole Bus. Additionally, Mathematics brings soulful production into the mix. It is more of an emotionally charged track that talks about wishing you could spend more time with the people you care about. Those lyrics are very prevalent in Ghostface and Nicole’s sections.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new Method Man and Ghostface Killah track, “Claudine,” featuring Nicole Bus and Mathematics? Who had the best performance on this song? Do you think we will get more singles from Wu-Tang Clan soon? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Jay Rock And Ab-Soul Collab For The First Time In Eight Years On “Blowfly”

If we told you that two collaborators who are part of a rap group together hardly ever put out music, would you believe us? Well, hopefully, you did because that is the case with Jay Rock and Ab-Soul. The posse they are in is Black Hippy and it includes Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q as well. Jay and Ab have not hit the studio since Rock’s 2015 record, 90059.

Ironically, it was the track that Jay got his other three members together for “Vice City.” Since then, he and Ab-Soul have not made a song. Now, the drought finally ends with another single from Eastside Johnny*, “Blowfly.” Jay announced this on his Instagram a couple of days ago. “Me and my brotha @souloho3 coming with some heat this Friday 😤 Y’all better get ready for this!! 💯💯 #ESJ#TDE#Blowfly.”

Listen To “Blowfly” From Jay Rock And Ab-Soul

We did propose that this could be one of the best singles of the year. The reason is, that both of them can rap and bring unique flows. However, at least on first listen, it does not totally live up to expectations. One of the biggest downsides to the track is that Ab-Soul performs the hook and that is it. Jay handling the verses is fine, but it would have been great to hear both have verses. Let us know what you think by giving it a spin.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Jay Rock and Ab-Soul, “Blowfly?” Is this the best single from Rock’s upcoming album, Eastside Johnny*? Are you happy or disappointed with how Rock and Ab-Soul made this song, especially after a long gap of no collaborations? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Kanye West’s New Album Distribution Might Become Rick Ross’ Responsibility

The last time Kanye West attempted to roll out an album, the process was nothing short of tumultuous. Of course, at this point, the rapper’s fanbase has become accustomed to regular delays and cancellations from their favourite artist, who’s been hinting at something cooking up over the past few months. He and Ty Dolla Sign have reportedly been planning for a massive performance in Italy, though that was postponed earlier this week. Amid that news, reports of West having a difficult time finding a distributor for his next LP have been spreading rapidly.

Even with all the trouble he’s landed himself in over his comments on the Jewish community, the 46-year-old still has friends willing to stick their neck out for him. Among them is Rick Ross, who publicly expressed an interest in signing West to his Maybach Music Group label. “Imagine if Ye came and allowed MMG to distribute his new project,” the “Purple Lamborghini” hitmaker reflected.

Rozay Seeks to Help Kanye West Release His Music

“Imagine that. What’s your favorite Rick Ross, Ye collab? Imagine that. Imagine the artistic drive. And I got some amazing ideas for the Yeezy brand. Amazing ideas for the Yeezy brand! Let’s speak,” Ross said in a video on his Instagram Story earlier this week. As the Southern superstar also pointed out, he and West have put out some incredible collaborations over the years, including “Devil in a New Dress” and “Monster” from the fashion designer’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy LP.

Considering all the controversy Kanye West has found himself wrapped up in throughout his career, we’re not exactly surprised that he’s having so much difficulty finding a willing distributor for his next project – no matter how highly anticipated it is. Reflect on some of the father of four’s most memorable (but not entirely flattering) moments in the spotlight at the link below. What’s your favourite collaboration between Ye and Rozay? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Sampha Delivers Tons Of Personal Bouts On Sophomore Album “Lahai”

Morden, South London singer and songwriter Sampha is an extremely elusive artist. However, fans are always willing to wait however long it needs to be to get new music from him. In this case, six years have gone by since the release of his debut tape, Process. That album won the coveted Mercury Prize, which is the award for the best album to come from the UK or Ireland. He might be in contention for that honor yet again with his sophomore album, Lahai. What set that record apart from the rest was its ability to tell emotional stories of isolation.

Lahai is sort of a follow-up in a way to these previous feelings. According to Sampha’s Apple Music interview, he shows that he is beginning to recover from all of the loss and anxieties he was dealing with. Hence the previous album was titled the way it was. He says, “I don’t necessarily live by what I’m saying but there’s times where I recognize that I need to reconnect to family and friends—times where I can really lose connection by being too busy with my own things.”

Listen To Lahai From Sampha

In addition to this, Sampha shared some meaning behind the record on his Instagram a little bit ago. Bridges. Grief. Motherlands. Love. Spirit. Fear. Flesh. Flight.” You can experience all of this and more with the links above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new album from Sampha, Lahai? Is this project better than his debut LP, Process? What are your top five tracks right now?
