Chance The Rapper Makes His Return With “Writing Exercise #5”

Ever since the copious amount of backlash Chance the Rapper got for his 2019 record, The Big Day, it seems he has taken a step back. Sure, the Chicago artist has some singles after that release, but there has been little headway if any toward a new LP. It is crazy to think after such tremendous success earlier in his career is nullified by one less favorable project. This just goes to show how unforgiving music fans can be and it is part of the problem.

However, that topic can be talked about at another time. Let us focus on this brand-new single from Chance. One of the things that makes him so great is his wit and fun wordplay. He has put this on full display throughout his career and he does it even more so in his “Writing Exercise” series.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new track from Chance the Rapper, “Writing Exercise #5?” Is this the best installment in the series so far? Jeezy Details The Drug Deal Mishap That Changed His Life

Jeezy just announced that he has new material on the way soon and coinciding with the release, he’s seen fit to share some knowledge and perspective from his past. That came through an appearance on Mavericks where he told a story about a time he was manipulated. “My loyalty got me in a lot of trouble. I was going to make this play with my older cousin. He was like, ‘These my people.’ I was like, ‘Let me bring my strap.’ He was like, ‘Nah, you good.’ But it’s big cuz — you trust him like, ‘Iight cool,” his story begins.

He expands on how quickly things fell apart. “We meet these guys in a semi-trailer truck. I give him the money and he gives me this laundry bag, and this laundry bag has the work in it but it’s covered in a blanket. I get back to the house, me and my man start to cut this sh*t open… and it’s sheetrock. This is all my money. I’m broke! I was more hurt than anything because I felt like I had so much respect and admiration for [my cousin].” He concluded the story by explaining how he believed his cousin was in on it the whole time and how it changed him. “So that turned me into a whole ‘nother animal. At first, I wasn’t really thugging; I’m just hustling. Now, I’m thugging.” Check out the full clip below.

B.G. Freestyle’s Over YTB Fatt’s Song “Get Back”

New Orleans, Louisiana rapper B.G. was serving quite a long time behind bars. In fact, it was 14 years for the 1993 Cash Money Records signee. He was charged with accounts of witness tampering as well as illegal gun possession back in 2009. Since his release back at the beginning of September, he is now on the grind to get a ton of music out in a short time frame. That is one thing with rappers who just become free citizens again. The happiness and relief once their free gets them extremely eager to hit the recording booth.

Fans and other celebrities who are close to B.G. were so excited to hear that he was out. Now, they seem to be ready to hear what the rapper is going to sound like going forward. According to him, they will not be disappointed, as B.G. recently told 2 Chainz he has eight albums in the vault. He also has a single with maybe his biggest supporter, Boosie Badazz, who celebrated his reinstatement into society.

Rapsody And Hit-Boy Are Dodging “Asteroids” On Their New Song

There are plenty of producers that have been tearing it up over the past few years or so. One of them has to be Hit-Boy without a doubt. One of the reasons why he has been so dominant is because of his tremendous run with Nas. Their King’s Disease and Magic series is one of the most impressive feats in recent memory. Now, he is collaborating with another lyrical talent, Rapsody.

Even though one of the greatest rappers has not been dropping too much since her 2019 record, Eve, she is still at the top of her game. The beat includes some piano keys, laser shots, and a boom-bap vibe. Rapsody announced this track in a clever way last night (October 29) on her Instagram. Hit-Boy also was hyping it up, saying, “It’s on [fire emoji].”

Never faked anything, the cars or how I lived
.” If you need a track to give you a confidence boost, then this is the track for you.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new track from Rapsody and Hit-Boy, “Asteroids?” Is Rapsody one of the best rappers of all time? Do we need more material from her and Hit-Boy? OMB Peezy Takes A Hard Look At His Past On New Single “The Streets”

OMB Peezy dropped off a new track at the end of last week, “The Streets.” The melancholy single also arrived alongside an emotional music video, which sees the performer’s bars come to life. The Alabama-born creative rhymes about how being reckless has a tendency to do more harm than good, and why he himself has chosen to go down a different path.

The track follows a handful of singles OMB Peezy has released this year, as well as a joint album he put out with Lil Joc at the end of last month. The Atlanta-born performer isn’t the only artist OMB Peezy’s teamed up with as of late, however. He also joined forces with Shaz earlier this month for his song “Too Deep,” and with Oj Dachillichaser in August for “Stained.”

Don Trip has kept himself busy as of late, dropping off 10 albums and EPs in just the past year alone. He kicked things off with his Gotham City EP in January, unveiling yet another EP, iHeartStrippersToo, the following month. He went on to unveil a full-length offering, The Devil You Know, in March. He released two more EPs, Shoulders Of Giants and Die Another Day, before releasing Long Live Pif in June. Now, the rapper’s back with yet another new album, Red October. The eight-track effort boasts a lone posthumous appearance from Pif, otherwise consisting only of soulful bars from the Tennessee native.

Stunna Girl Lives Her Best Life “Courtesy Of A Rich Ni**a”: Stream New Single

We’re about to embark on the final two months of 2023. All year long, the women of hip-hop have been seriously holding it down. Reality star Stunna Girl is among those who’ve been contributing to the genre’s growth, kicking things off with “Pretty Face Shotta” back in May and only getting hotter from there. “Sweat,” Like Dat,” “Pretty Privilege,” and “Real Rap” are among solo efforts she’s delivered throughout the spring and fall so far. As for collaborations, we’ve heard Stunna working with names like French Montana, RichMula500, and JT of City Girls, proving that her star is only rising higher in the industry.

This New Music Friday (October 27), the 25-year-old shared a new single and visual, “Courtesy Of A Rich Ni**a,” that proves just how spoiled she is by her other half. “This song was inspired by my husband and how he spoils me,” Stunna told Lyrical Lemonade. “But also myself and how I’ma boss on my own. The record is real player. It’s for people who grind like myself and have a companion who matches their fly.”

Mozzy Joins Forces With Lil Zay Osama For New Track “Ain’t On Sh*t”

Mozzy is back with another new track, “Ain’t On Sh*t.” This time, the Cali-born rapper’s teamed up with Chicago MC Lil Zay Osama, who lends a menacing verse to the energetic single. The song serves as a departure from his last, soulful October release, “If I Die Right Now.” Laid-back and boastful, “Ain’t On Sh*t” leans away from introspection and into the examination of others, repeatedly begging the question, “Fuck wrong with these n***as?”

Lil Zay Osama isn’t the only fellow rapper Mozzy’s teamed up with as of late, however. In September, Mozzy also joined forces with Stunna Girl for her unapologetic single, “Wake Dis Sh*t Up.” He also dropped an EP in April of this year, Kollect Kall. The six-song offering includes features from YFN Lucci, Baby Money, E MOZZY, and Celly Ru.

“Ain’t On Sh*t” also comes along with a fun accompanying music video, which shows the duo spitting bars in a lofty brick building. Sketch-like details and dramatic edits bring their verses to life. Clearly, Mozzy’s been eager to get back in studio since returning home from his 10-month prison stay in May.

Just ahead of his arrest, he unveiled his last full-length effort, Survivor’s Guilt. The LP includes various features from the likes of Roddy Ricch, Shordie Shordie, EST Gee, Blac Youngsta, and Moneybagg Yo. It was also his first release under Yo Gotti’s imprint lebl, CMG. One of the most prolific names from the 2010s decade, Ace Hood, is back with another new album. This one possesses 11 tracks and was released yesterday (October 27). Fredo Bang Seems To Shoot His Shot At Sexyy Red And Sukihana On “FWM”

Fredo Bang, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana, rapper, is one of the most interesting characters in the hip-hop game. Some find him corny and others find him hilarious. You may be split on him as well and this latest track might have you even more confused. He has a new song out right now called “FWM.”

The song itself is nothing new or too interesting subject matter-wise for Fredo. He may be the most easy breezy and carefree artist out at the moment. What is absolutely wild is that he is back to his toxicity with women. If you check out the music video below you will notice something very obvious.

There are two women next to him on the couch twerking. That is also not new. What is crazy is the fact that he has paper bags over the heads with headshots of Sexxy Red and Sukihana on them. One fan on Fredo’s Instagram post about the song made a funny remark. “😂😂😂😂😂😂 the fact the bodies actually decent enough to really be them.” Another wants him to relax a little bit. “Horniest rapper, chill brah.” Cleveland rapper Doe Boy even chimes in, “Dis n**** crazy 😂😂😂😂

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Fredo Bang, “FWM?” Is this a crazier moment compared to the time he went for it with GloRilla? Do you think Sexyy Red, Sukihana, and Black Diamond will respond to this? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this.
