PinkPantheress & Central Cee Put A Foreign Twist On Today’s “R&B Season” Playlist

The mid-way point of November is already near, meaning Christmas spirit is ripe in the air. At this time of year, many prefer to take a break from their hip-hop-heavy playlists in favour of slow jams and holiday hits. Thankfully, you can count on our weekly R&B Season update to recap some of the hottest releases for you. Unsurprisingly, Chris Brown’s 11th studio album, 11:11 is at the top of today’s list – specifically his “No One Else” collaboration with Fridayy.

More heat from Breezy comes later on, but before that, we hear from two UK superstars on “Nice to meet you.” Central Cee is just one of the recording artists who joined forces with PinkPantheress on her debut LP, Heaven knows. Rema and Kelela are the others, along with Ice Spice on “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2.” The viral remix is one of Pink’s biggest hits to date, though she recently shared that she thinks the song is “crap,” even with all its numeric success.

HNHH R&B Season Playlist

Holding it down for Canada this weekend is Roy Woods, who’s soundtracking your late nights with his “4am” single. Chris Brown and Maeta’s joint effort “Best Ever” comes afterward, though its worth noting his new album has some solo titles that are worth a stream as well. Back on the topic of collaborations we have Rosemarie and Roddy Ricch’s “Is It Real?” marking our final tandem release today. Yaya Bey and AUDRE close things out with their work, respectively. The former shared “the evidence,” while the latter shines on “Cp Time,” concluding yet another impressive week of new music coming our way.

Tyler, The Creator Responds To Fans Demanding New Music At Camp Flog Gnaw

Tyler, the Creator hosted his annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival this weekend at Dodger Stadium. So far, fans at the event or tuning into live streams on Prime Video or Twitch were able to catch performances from Ice Spice, Clipse, Teezo Touchdown, Kali Uchis, and more. Of course, Tyler himself also took the stage last night. During his performance, he responded to fans’ unrelenting requests for new music.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the hitmaker plans to drop anytime soon. “Y’all wanted new music?” he asked fans. “Aw, well I wanted a father. You can’t get everything you ask for.” While the news is pretty disappointing for listeners eagerly anticipating a new project, many note that Tyler just unveiled Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale earlier this year, the deluxe edition of his 2021 LP.

Tyler, The Creator Tells Fans They “Can’t Get Everything” They Ask For

Listeners thought they could be getting some new music from the California native since he announced that he had “cr*zy” new music coming “very soon” during an interview with Pharrell that dropped in August. They were left disappointed when he later took to social media to clarify what he meant. He explained that the interview was filmed in February, ahead of the April release of Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale, and that project was what he was actually referring to.

While they may not be hearing any new music from Tyler, the Creator in the near future, fans can cop some new merchandise from his brand Golf Le Fleur’s new collab with Lacoste. The collection dropped in October, and boasts various head-turning pieces. Brightly-colored sweater vests, t-shirts, socks, and more are currently available for purchase on Golf Le Fleur and Lacoste’s websites. What do you think of Tyler, the Creator’s response to fans demanding new music? Are you disappointed with his response? Ty Dolla Sign Says Kanye West Collab Album Is “Coming Real Soon”

Fans have been eagerly anticipating Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s collaborative LP for time now. They were left disappointed last week when various promotional Instagram posts for the project were erased, prompting rumors that it might be scrapped altogether. Their previously announced listening parties were also cancelled in October, only compounding speculation.

Luckily for those awaiting the drop, Ty Dolla Sign has now provided an update on the album, seemingly confirming that the project will be released after all. According to him, listeners won’t have to wait much longer either. He revealed that he’s been in the studio with Ye in Saudi Arabia as of late, working on his portion of the joint LP. “I just landed on a flight from Saudi Arabia,” he explained. “I’ve been out there recording a part of my album with my brother Ye. And that’s coming real soon.”

Ty Dolla Sign Gives Update On New LP With Kanye West

While the duo has yet to announce an official release date for the project, it appears as though fans are closer than ever to hearing it. It’s not the only new music they can expect to hear from Ye in the near future, however. At the end of last month, J Prince shared that he also ventured to the Middle East, and got a preview of the Chicago native’s upcoming solo album. According to him, it’s sounding great. “Nice listening to some of the new album with the homies in Saudi Arabia,” he said. “It’s hot. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Full of Respect, Structure, and Peace.”

That project doesn’t have an official release date either, but it’s safe to say that fans can’t wait. What do you think of Ty Dolla Sign’s update on his joint album with Kanye West? Jay Worthy Goes Off On “Christopher Walken” Featuring Jake One

Canadian rapper Jay Worthy has been a busy man in 2023. In these 11 months, he has dropped two full-length albums and tons of singles. In addition, he even landed on a few big-time records as well. The first tape he was a part of was actually a collaborative record that came out at the end of May. He and another underground legend, Roc Marciano went toe-to-toe on their tight 12-track tape, Nothing Bigger Than The Program. It would only take him another five months to release his second team album.

THE AM3RICAN DREAM threw another mic into the mix. West coast femcee, Kamaiyah, and one of the true producing pioneers, Harry Fraud, helped out Jay. That trio provided some lyrically heavy bangers such as one of the headlining singles, “9AM.” Sticky flows and ear-grabbing production can be found all over Jay’s last LP. Even with all of the success he has had, he wants to keep it going.

While there is no official announcement yet, with Jay’s work ethic, we will not be surprised if he and Jake One, the producer of the song, come out with a full tape soon.

Roy Woods Is Playing No Games On “4am”

Drake’s OVO label has some underrated artists on it. Roy Woods is one of them for sure. The Brampton, Canada native was buzzing during 2015 with the release of his debut EP, Exis. That is the project that featured Drizzy on “Drama,” which is sitting on a high streaming number.

In fact, it has over 455 million streams. It also featured solid deep cuts as well, such as “Get You Good.” Roy kept up the pace in 2016 and 2017 with three more projects. Those being Nocturnal, Waking at Dawn, and Say Less. However, it would be six years until the rapper and singer’s next full-length tape. When smaller artists take a long break from dropping albums, fans usually tap out.

The founding grounds of hip-hop, New York, have the some of the best rappers since the genres inception 50 years ago. One of the most unheralded names is Aesop Rock. Lakeyah Brings The Heat On “No Hesitation”

Lakeyah is continuing to build a name for herself in the competitive rap game. Especially, with all of the new femcees carving their respective niches, it is a cutthroat side of the industry. She definitely understands that maybe even more so than ever before. In a recent interview we conducted with the Wisconsin native, she revealed some knowledge dropped on her by arguably the most influential female rapper of all time.

Of course, we are referring to Nicki Minaj. One of the things that Lakeyah took away from that was to stay true to her own identity. “You really have to be an artist that people can really gravitate towards just for being you. And you don’t want to blow up for faking it for years. You want to feel like ‘Oh, people love me for me.’” She wraps things up, saying, “And I can go outside and I don’t have to put on a costume. So I feel like that’s something that I took away from our conversation, for sure.”

It is safe to say that Lakeyah has her own style. That being extremely cutthroat and confident. Her latest single, “No Hesitation,” proves that tenfold. You can check the explosive new track with the accompanying music video above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Lakeyah, “No Hesitation?” Is this her best single of the year so far? Armani White Delivers A Dynamic Performance On “BREATHE.”

There are not many better rappers than Armani White right now. Especially in terms of technical ability. His command of the microphone, his breath control, and the way he can rap fast while sounding coherent are just some of the skills he possesses. On top of that, you know Armani is going to be an energizer bunny on pretty much every track. He put all of this on full display on his second project, Road to CASABLANCO. Since the release of that back in February of this year, the Philadelphia native has continued to build on his style.

In the past month or so, Armani has put out two fun singles. At the beginning of October, he put on a lyrical masterclass on a YouTube exclusive freestyle, “REDEYE TO PHILLY.” Toward the end of the month, he linked with producer TroyBoi for “Shut S*** Down.” Both fit each other’s colorful and idiosyncratic styles to a tee. Now, he is back with a new solo single he has been teasing for a little bit now.

Listen To “BREATHE.” From Armani White

About a month ago, Armani began to drop hints about “BREATHE.” One of the videos, which is pinned at the top of his page, shows him getting lit in the studio with his friends as he played some of the track. Just about a day ago, he gave his fans an update about what has been going on with him lately. “Thanks to everyone reaching out. I been taking this time off to literally breathe. Recalibrate and recenter myself on what’s important to me. Getting away from just enjoying making the music and actually expressing myself again. Really excited for what’s to come. Until then, y’all loved this freestyle so much I made it a song. Let’s have fun one more time before the year ends 🤞🏽” We certainly love it, now it is your turn to check it out.
