The Sudanese talent has been hard at work over the past five years to perfect the approach to his fourth studio album, We Only Talk About Real S*** When We’re F****d Up. Nearly over the past year, he has been dropping singles for this effort. It began back in late January with “Diamonds,” and ended in November with “179 Deli.”

The title of this album aptly refers to the messages of some of the tracks here. He talks about the troubling times in the Middle East on “Khartoum.” “Ho Chi Minh” sees Bas talk about what has been weighing on him and how needs to remain strong within himself. Throughout this collection of songs, he brings the hottest sounds and artists from those genres.

One of the most heavily included is Afro-pop/Afro-beats. He brings on Zimbabwe’s own Sha Sha to “Testify.” Amaarae, who hails from Ghana, appears on “Decent.” J. Cole has two extra appearances outside of “Passport Bros.” He can be heard in his melodic bag on “Home Alone” and “Paper Cuts.” This album has a serene feeling to it, especially with the way Bas is orchestrating these songs. Last night turned out be massive for Cudi. He reunited with Kanye West and is set to be on the album Vultures with Ty Dolla Sign. Furthermore, he made an announcement regarding his upcoming album. Effectively, fans got an official release date. In the tweet below from NFR Podcast, you can see that he is going to drop on January 12th. Interestingly enough, that is not too far away. Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign had a big night planned in Las Vegas. Overall, they were going to come through and showcase their new album, Vultures. Fans were expecting the project to drop as soon as midnight struck. Of course, that has not taken place. Instead, the album is nowhere to be found, and the rave stream was a bit of a disaster. Sure, we got to hear some new songs, but as you are about to see, fans did not get what they bargained for. Instead, they had to wait for a featured artist on the album to save the day.

Essentially, according to the Twitter account Kurrco, the rave was shut down by the authorities. It is unclear as to why this was the case, however, it happened, and fans were pretty upset about it. Luckily, Lil Durk was ready with a spot for all of the artists to congregate at. No one knows where this place was, although we do know that the stream of it was titled “Vultures City.” It was here that we got to hear a ton of new song previews from some extremely massive artists.

However, Carti is definitely getting his fans’ hopes up thanks to a recent string of social media photo dumps.

Over the weekend, Carti surprised by fans by dropping a song and music video on his Finsta. The burner Instagram account is mostly private to fans, and only a few caught a glimpse of the track. Subsequently, a few days later, the video ended up on YouTube, and here we are. The track in question is called “Ur The Moon” and it features that new version of Carti in which he delivers a deep voice. In fact, even the production choice is a bit different for him. One might say there is a heavy hyperpop influence here.
