SleazyWorld Go Drops Some Unintentionally Funny Bars On “Major Leagues”

Michigan-born and Missouri-raised, SleazyWorld Go has been riding off the success of his strong 2022 campaign. His massively successful single “Sleazy Flow” from his Where The Shooters Be record had everyone going nuts. This year, things have been a little different. With only six days remaining in 2023, no new album is expected.

Because of that, Sleazy’s production has not been the same. He has come through with a handful of singles. To be exact, there are seven of them. Hopefully, some of them will land on a forthcoming album. The last time we spoke on SleazyWorld’s music was his single “Got Me Hot.” He has dropped more since then, but we are back to talk about “Major Leagues.”

Listen To “Major Leagues” By SleazyWorld Go

With the title in mind, this is another stereotypical flexing song. However, some of the bars are sort of weird to be acting tough about. Or, maybe Sleazy was going for a little more tongue-in-cheek approach. Regardless, the beat is run-of-the-mill and so is the overall vibe of the single. But, if you want to check it out. It is available everywhere.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single, “Major Leagues,” by SleazyWorld Go? Is this the best song he has put out this year? If not, what are you going to place above it? Do you think this will eventually land on a project sometime next year? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. So, leave all of your hottest takes in the comments. Additionally, keep it locked with HNHH for all of the latest around SleazyWorld Go. Finally, stay with us for all of the best song drops throughout the week.

Wizkid Wows On Our New “R&B Season” Playlist Update: Stream

We’re pretty deep into the holiday season, and as you may have noticed, the new music release schedule is looking quite scant these days. Rather than promote new work or perform, artists would rather relax with their loved ones, take a nice break, and allow people to do the same without missing out on any big drops. Still, there are a couple of new songs and projects to sink your teeth into that we couldn’t help but shout out. On this new R&B Season update, we took a look at the few but fulfilling releases within and adjacent to the genre this week. Turns out that even amid a slower season, there are always plenty of gems to find in the music world.

Leading the way this season is Wizkid’s new four-track EP, S2, which is another helping of his Afrobeat waviness. Moreover, there are two specific cuts from this brief collection that were particularly refreshing and enjoyable for (hopefully) your days off. One is the Zlatan-assisted “IDK,” which brings some crisp percussion, well-contrasted vocal performances, and gorgeous backing harmonies to compliment the melodies. The other, “Ololufe” with Wande Coal, is more of a dancehall-inspired cut with more club flair, watery synthesizers, and shuffling beats to vibe out to.

HNHH R&B Season Playlist: Stream

Next on R&B Season is the new single from SAFE: the sultry, slow-burning, and infectiously atmospheric “ttuctmd.” This is a track that fits much more snugly into these wintery months with its restrained vocals, woozy synthesizers, and minimal production. However, there’s a Jersey club flip at one point that injects the song with some brief revitalizing energy before slipping right back into its cloudy soundscape. Given how subtly the Toronto artist was able to switch between these appeals, we can’t wait to see what else he does to develop this skill.

Finally, we want to highlight the new song from Nic Dean, as “Withdrawal” is a similarly hazy but much more dramatic offering. With cavernous drums and wailing synth pads, it’s a fitting single to lose yourself in and become fully immersed in its emotional pallet. Let us know what your favorite release of these was in the comments down below– and what else we missed this week, too. Check our R&B Season playlist out above and, as always, come back to HNHH for more great music releases around the clock.

Erica Banks Knows Her Worth On New Christmas Joint “All Dat He Got”

One of the year’s biggest holidays is officially upon us, and thankfully several artists are helping to get us in the festive spirit like only they can. While some superstars take the holiday season off from working and releasing new music, Erica Banks couldn’t celebrate with her loved ones before expanding on her 2020 EP, Banks B4 Christmas. When it first dropped, the “Buss It” hitmaker showed out on “Sleigh Ride,” “Holiday Jun,” and other catchy tracks. Now, she’s reminding us of her worth on “All Dat He Got.”

While spitting her festive, flirtatious bars, Banks sits by a bright red Christmas tree and grand piano. “I like Zelle notifications / And he like when I’m pulling up naked,” the L&HH cast member boldly declares mid-way through her new release. “He say he Nigerian, thought he was Haitian / So you know that the ni**a ain’t patient / You got it? / I’mma take it,” she continues, shamelessly hinting at having a materialistic approach to life and relationships.

In the past, the rap diva found herself at odds with romantic partners like Finesse2tymes due to her love of money, but rather than changing up on herself, the 25-year-old decided to drop her man instead. Kota The Friend’s New Single Takes Us On A Short & Sweet Trip To “Oregon”

This time last year, 31-year-old Kota the Friend concluded 2022 on a confident note with “I’m Really It B**ch.” After a rollercoaster ride of emotions throughout 2023, he’s back with “Oregon,” a brand new single. It tells the story of a man reflecting on the high price that can come with fame and fortune, or even the American Dream.

“‘Wanna hear a story, son? / It’s not long, won’t last ’til the morning come,” Kota rhymes while channelling the older male protagonist of his tale. “‘Know I look a little rough when I’m off the drugs / Let me tell you ’bout my life, won’t cost you none’” he continues before looking back on his more wild years. The storyteller went from a “simple” schedule of “fishing and living it up” to later indulging in weed and white wine in hopes of cutting out some of the stress from his new, high-paying job.

Kota the Friend Ends His Year On a Bright Note

“I was living in the fast life, getting this cash right / Noticing it came with a bad price,” Kota’s lyrics caution listeners. “Five, ten, twenty years pass me by / And that grind shit ran me dry.” To end “Oregon,” we hear the old man tell how he left the city life to head back to a small town where he found happiness all around without having to look too hard, or overwork himself. “Before you hit the road / Make sure that what you covet is better than what you own / Just wanted to let you know,” the clever track concludes.

Check out Kota the Friend’s final release of 2023, “Oregon,” above. If you’re feeling the short and sweet single, you can find it on Spotify/Apple Music. For more HNHH release recommendations, check out Conway The Machine’s latest LP, Palermo, at the link below.

X4 Is A Newcomer But Posesses A Ton Of Swagger On His Debut Tape “The Most Important”

We have another HNHH debut alert! This time it is coming from the West Coast, specifically Los Angeles, California. A lot of the new artists that are gaining attention have been from the East Coast predominantly. But, X4 is looking to draw some ears and eyes back toward the opposite end of the United States.

Not much is known about him, but he has been releasing music to streaming since 2022. X4’s first output came in the form of the single, “Not Regular” featuring Remble. He is one of the few features that lands on X’s debut album, The Most Important. This project certainly has the West Coast bounce and funk that is widely known from the region.

Listen To The Most Important By X4

If we had to compare him to another artist from the area, Tyga might be the best one. X4 possesses a smooth and cool delivery like Tyga. His beats are fairly similar as well. The best tracks in our opinion include “Call My Bluff” and “Rich S***” with Lil Vada. “Call My Bluff” was the lone and lead single to the tape. Before this, he released a trio of EPs and even had a freestyle on The Corner Store LA’s Instagram.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new debut album, The Most Important, by X4? What tracks are you gravitating toward the most on the first few listens? Does he have what it takes to be a star from the West Coast? After hearing this, what do you think his best qualities are and what can he improve upon? Who had the best guest apperance here? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around X4. Finally, stay with us for all of the best album drops throughout the week.

The Most Important Tracklist:

  1. Call My Bluff
  2. Own Thing
  3. Big Dog Status with 03 Greedo
  4. Maserati Truc with Remble

Juice WRLD & Eminem Make Their Mark On Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update: Stream

As we round out 2023, this week still held some compelling and hard-hitting hip-hop releases to highlight on our new Fire Emoji playlist update. Sure, the schedule is slowing down a little bit, but never underestimate a heartfelt, important, and gut-wrenching song to make us look back on the year– or past few years, rather. Yet that’s exactly what Juice WRLD, Eminem, and benny blanco provided with their new single, “Lace It.” It’s a cut about addiction, substance abuse, its cyclical horrors, and perseverance that hits right at your core thanks to excellent anecdotal expressions and respectful topical focus. The perspectives here are downright cutting: one from a recovered user and one voice whose talent and contributions to this world were cut tragically short, but still lives on forever.

While the rest of our Fire Emoji playlist isn’t as pivotal message-wise, we still had plenty of quality releases to shout out. Leading the way in that regard is the new grimy yet glistening album from Conway The Machine and Wun Two, Palermo. “Cold Dish,” with assistance from Goosebytheway, is a particularly jazzy and hazy standout, on which the Drumwork boss still maintains his charisma and boisterous demeanor through sharp lines. There’s similar lyrical precision on Russ’ new song, “Said It Freestyle,” which is a relentless series of reflective verses, expertly woven themes, and intriguing flows and wordplay.

Elsewhere on Fire Emoji, we also included the new Central Cee track, “Entrapreneur.” It mixes his shimmery UK drill style and flows with grounded subject matter and a slightly more melancholy beat than usual. Speaking of drill, Lil Mabu is asking Fivio Foreign for a lesson on “TEACH ME HOW TO DRILL.” It’s actually quite the comical cut, as the genre’s controversial white guest trades tropes with one of its leaders right now. No description could do it justice; just look up some context, and marvel in its bizarre nature.

Meanwhile, we’d be remiss not to mention the new 03 Greedo single, “Recess,” which is equally fiery and melodic. Finally, AJ Tracey comes through with some truly classic grime vibes on “Wifey Riddim 4.” Let us know what your favorite release on Fire Emoji was this week– and what we missed, too. Check the playlist out above and check back in with HNHH for the latest great music releases around the clock.

Big Scarr’s Team Releases Visuals For “Bulletproof” With NLE Choppa One Year After His Passing

After losing Big Scarr’s spirit back on December 22 of last year, many realized how much potential he wielded. The 23-year-old talent born out of Memphis, Tennessee shared a lot of similarities to some of the current and past rappers from the city. His voice is nearly the same as artists like Moneybagg Yo, Young Dolph, and Key Glock. If enjoy their brands of music, Scarr fits that bill to a tee. Unfortunately, we will never get to see the full range of talent, after passing away due to a drug overdose.

However, Big Scarr’s team, as well as Gucci Mane, have been doing their best to carry on his voice. A few weeks ago, Scarr’s 1017 label head posthumously released his third project, Frozone. It featured a lot of solid tracks. It seemed the young buck was in another zone with these recordings.

Layzie Bone’s “Intro” To “Hypnotic Rhythms” Is The Perfect Segway

The Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony group has been active this year even with the difficulties that one of their members faced. Krayzie Bone put himself into a hospital in Los Angeles after he was battling some potentially fatal personal health issues. The Cleveland rapper was dealing with a leaking lung artery and was viciously coughing up blood. It was truly a scary moment for him, the fans, and of course his closest friends. Layzie Bone himself shared a deep message to the people reaching out for support of their bandmate.

“In this challenging moment, as the immediate and Bone thugs family rallies behind my brother, we humbly ask for a moment of privacy. Our family is facing the unexpected hospitalization of Krayzie Bone with strength, and your prayers are a beacon of hope.” Layzie goes on, “Soon, we’ll share an update, but for now, let us come together and keep our love and thoughts focused on his recovery. Your support means the world to us, and we truly appreciate your understanding during this time.”

Listen To “Intro” By Layzie Bone

Now, that they are beginning to move on from that, Layzie has decided to release an album before the end of the year. Hypnotic Rhythms dropped this past weekend and it heavily focuses on Layzie’s ability to spit with different cadences. We feel that the “Intro” track does a great job of introducing this to listeners. The melody is also on point with deep piano keys. Layzie showcases the perfect flow to match it and sets up the tape perfectly.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new song, “Intro,” by Layzie Bone? Is this the best track from Hypnotic Rhythms? Do you think Layzie is the best Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony member in the group, why or why not? Out of all of the collective’s releases this year, is this the highest-quality project? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Troy Ave Pairs A Banging Beat With A Gorgeous Sample On “Roberta Flack”

One of New York’s many rappers, Troy Ave, recently carried on his lengthy album series, White Christmas. It is a collection of LPs in which its first release dates back to Christmas of 2012. There is not a lot about these projects that relates to the widely celebrated holiday, outside of some song titles and album covers. Nonetheless, it is Troy’s halo series and one that fans are still enjoying to this day. He is now up to the 11th entry and it was put out on streaming platforms just this past Friday (December 22).

This newest iteration features a lot of solid tracks. The production is vast and even sees Troy dip into his singing bag. However, he sounds quite awkward on it, even though it is one of the more personal songs on the record. Besides that, there are not a lot of lulls in the tracklist. The first half is especially strong.

Listen To “Roberta F; ” By Troy Ave

One song in the first fourth of the project that is worth talking about is “Roberta Flack.” The title is a reference to a retired soul singer who had plenty of number-one hits. There is not a lot of info on this album, but Troy could have possibly sampled some of her vocals for this cut. It is arguably what makes the song so fun as the vocals are extremely soulful and have that iconic Chipmunk treatment. See what we are talking about and check it out above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new song, “Roberta Flack,” by Troy Ave? Is this the best track from White Christmas 11, why or why not? If not, what cut what you put above it? Where do you rank this entry into the series amongst the rest of them? Is this one of the more underrated album collections in hip-hop? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Maino’s “K.O.B. Intro” Will Have You Wanting To Run Through A Brick Wall

One of the best qualities about Brooklyn, New York rapper Maino is his ability to effortlessly craft inspirational bangers. He has been floating in between the mainstream and underground scene for nearly his entire career. But, it has been something that does not seem to bother Maino. The MC has stabilized over a decade-long run because of that unwavering commitment. Maino’s 2023 is one of a steady release of singles and an album. One of his biggest moments was rekindling with the recently released B.G. Together they worked on a different version of “For My City.”

It was a great collaboration that had an uplifting feeling. But, we should not be surprised by that since that is what Maino does best. He provided a lot of those vibes on his record for this year, K.O.B. 4. It is the fourth entry into the series, which saw a flurry of releases in the late 2010s.

Listen To “K.O.B. Intro” By Maino

One of the best tracks to check out from the tape is the “K.O.B. Intro.” It was released over a year ago with a YouTube music video. However, we were not able to give it the proper shine. It kicks off with Maino rapping over piano keys before sirens start to go off. When you hear those you start to get hype. Shortly thereafter, the beat drops and you are met with a steady dose of kick drums and effortless flows. You will be ready to tackle anything after hearing this.

What are your initial thoughts on this song, “K.O.B. Intro,” by Maino? Is this the best song from K.O.B. 4, why or why not? If not, which song is better and why? Is this the best album within the K.O.B. series? Is this one of Maino’s best intro tracks of all time? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this.
