Sexyy Red has shown off quite a few looks during her time in the spotlight, whether it’s blonde, black, or red hair; short(er), long(er), straight, curly… You name it. As such, fans already have their favorites, so every time a new look rolls around, they have to rank it on their tier list. Moreover, she recently showed off some wavy blonde locks and was gushing about them with her friends. Fans had a whole slew of reactions in the comments section under the Instagram post below. Some were just critical haters of the St. Louis femcee’s look no matter what, others loved this new style, and a few expressed preference for other hair colors while still giving their flowers.

However, Sexyy Red also faced a bit of backlash recently for some serious allegations. An alleged ex partner accused her of giving him a sexually transmitted disease, and she clapped back with denials of these claims and some harsh words for the alleged ex. So not every discussion around the 26-year-old online is going to focus on her image alone, although this is certainly part of public perception.

With that in mind, there are a lot of external factors and seemingly misinterpreted actions that inform how people look at Sexyy Red these days. For example, a lot of people accused her of doing cocaine on Kai Cenat’s stream, another rumor that she had to dispel. It seems like the rapper is an easy calling card to reveal your true feelings about some sort of controversial topic, whether that’s substance use in this case or lewd activity in most others. It’s a pretty heavy burden to bear as a superstar – despite the massive flow of money – but one that boosts your profile all the same in a social media age.

Another example of this kind of criticism recently came from Candace Owens, who appeared on Nick Cannon’s Counsel Culture show to speak on how Black music has evolved from Michael Jackson to Sexyy Red. She brought this up as an example of how the media belittles the Black community, but as with most Sexyy takes, it’s not a very nuanced or earnest assessment.

DDG Faces Barrage Of Social Media Jokes After Showing Off New Look

DDG has shared a picture of himself on social media after having shaved off all of his facial hair. “Cut my mustache finally,” he captioned the selfie. The post has resulted in tons of jokes poking fun at the 27-year-old rapper.

“He looks like a kid who keeps harassing his mama if he can play a game on her phone,” one user joked when The Shade Room reshared the post. Another remarked: “Bro looks like the senior that has the nicest sneakers, has cousins who ride for him so no one messes with him and him and Soulja Boy stayed in ISS together.” One more argued that he doesn’t look much different from before. “I mean, I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t see no difference between the peach fuzz and this clean shave. I mean did anyone get a glimpse of the peach fuzz? Seriously,” they commented.

The new look comes amid a turbulent year for DDG, who split from his girlfriend, Halle Bailey back in October. They had been dating since 2022 and share one child together. DDG recently stuck up for Halle online after she faced backlash for bringing their son, Halo, on Kai Cenat’s livestream. “Y’all could hate on me for as long as y’all want, but leave Halle alone, man,” he said in a video on YouTube, last month. “Mentally, y’all don’t know what she going through when it comes to postpartum, she just pushed a whole human out. She dealing with a whole new life. She has to always consider Halo in every situation … My skin is just overly thick when it comes to online backlash, but I know for her it’s something very, very new and I’m just asking y’all to chill.”

According to Touré, he’s perfecting the project in a hotel room, and living an “upper-class homeless” lifestyle. He appears to be enjoying it thoroughly too, as evidenced by new clips and photos making their rounds online.

In them, Ye and his wife Bianca Censori are seen walking down the street in all-black outfits. Censori stunned per usual, but the Chicago rapper’s appearance was what’s grabbed fans’ attention the most. Social media users note that he looks far younger than usual, even compared to other recent photos.

Furthermore, Doja Cat’s sensibilities in the wardrobe world extend to her surprising skills at quickly and engagingly dealing with outfit malfunctions mid-performance. Donald Glover’s New Look At The Oscars Draws Mixed Reactions From Fans

Over the weekend celebrities gathered in bulk for the Oscars. Though the event is meant to highlight the biggest and best films of the year, music was well represented. The Academy gives out an award for Best Original Song, which saw Billie Eilish, Jon Batiste, and Mark Ronson all performing. Eilish ultimately took home the award for the second time already in her short career. But one place where musicians were even more well-represented were some of the after-parties.

As you’d expect, a lot of focus was placed on outfits and looks. Halle Bailey showed up looking stunning even as her film The Little Mermaid failed to secure any nominations. Ice Spice looked great in a black see-through dress but still found herself having to defend her fashion choices online. But Childish Gambino was one of the most surprising, as he debuted an entirely new look. For the event, he showed off a new haircut, substituted his full beard for just a mustache, and donned a red AMIRI suit. Ocean teased having a new album in store when he performed at Coachella in 2023. “It’s been so long, but I have missed you. I want to talk about why I’m here, because it’s not because of a new album. It’s because… not that there’s not a new album, just like… but there’s not right now,” he said on stage during the performance. Outside of the announcement, the show didn’t go over well with fans. It started an hour late, featured no new music, and ended early due to the festival’s curfew. A live stream of the set was also cut last-minute. Amid all of the complaints, he canceled a second performance at the event the following weekend. Further news didn’t come until November of last year when Ocean teased a snippet of a new song on his Instagram Story.

YFN Lucci Looks Unrecognizable In New Mugshot From Prison

It looks like YFN Lucci finally got that haircut that the court promised him before his trial a couple of weeks ago. Moreover, a new mugshot surfaced of him online on Sunday (January 28), and people were very quick to comment on his bald head after sporting a long and wild look while in the pen. “tf, ain’t this n***a have a full head of dreads like yesterday [crying emoji],” one fan wrote under DJ Akademiks’ Instagram coverage of the picture. “N***a went from Kodak to magic Johnson overnight,” another added, while others had some more pop culture references to give. “He Look like CJ from Grove St [crying laughing emoji],” a user joked.

Furthermore, this follows the news that YFN Lucci received a 20-year sentence in his RICO case. However, given that he will be eligible for parole in just a couple of months -– and the State’s letter to the pardon and parole board that reflects a lack of objection to an early release -– he could be out in three and a half months. Of course, this is all quite muddy thanks to our broken legal system, and many things could occur to slow this down. But the Atlanta native at least has some bright light at the end of the tunnel, and that’s more than most ever get in U.S. prisons.

Meanwhile, another point of contention that came up concerning YFN Lucci recently is his past romance with Reginae Carter, Lil Wayne’s daughter. The two went out before his arrest, and many fans asked her after this sentence whether she’d take him back. She made the bold claim in a video posted to social media, where she was vibing with Blue, and the rapper was claiming that he “wasn’t going nowhere”.
