Ice Spice Recalls Drake Flying Her Out To Toronto: “Like, Gag”

It’s no secret that Ice Spice has made several high-profile friends since her rise to fame, including Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, and more. She even crossed paths with Drake at one point, though she admits they never got too close. During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the “Deli” rapper opened up about their friendship, and recalled him flying her to Toronto for OVO Fest.

“We was on the jet like, ‘Wait, Drake’s flying us out? Like, gag,” she explained. “When we saw him, I was like, ‘Nah, this is cr*zy.’ He’s just casually there. There’s mad random people around, and he’s just, like, blending in somehow.”

Ice Spice continued, revealing that she hopes to work with Drizzy sometime in the future. “We talk, but we never really was on some bestie sh*t,” she also added. “He’s excited for Y2K!, he told me.” Of course, all that talk of Drake led to a brief discussion about his viral feud with Kendrick Lamar. She opted not to pick a side, instead stating that she enjoyed the rap battle as a whole. “I’m a music lover. So, I appreciate the sport of it — I think it’s really cool,” she said.

Ice Spice and Drake’s friendship hasn’t always been smooth sailing, however. In 2022, he seemingly dissed her on his track with Lil Yachty, “BackOutsideBoyz.” A few months later, Ice Spice revealed that they had worked things out, claiming they were “cool” and confirming that there was no beef. What do you think of Ice Spice opening up about her friendship with Drake? What about her claiming that they’ve never been besties? Are you looking forward to hearing her new album Y2K when it drops at midnight? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Latto Shares Her Take On Kendrick Lamar & Drake’s Fierce Feud

It’s no secret that Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s viral beef left fans split. While many opted to pick a side in the explosive feud, others remained neutral and decided instead to weigh in on the overall impact of the lyrical battle itself. This includes Latto, who recently shared her take on it during an interview with Billboard. According to her, it was an impressive display of each artist’s skills and was positive for hip-hop as a whole.

“I ain’t going to lie: I liked it! I liked the back-and-forth, I thought it was healthy for the culture. It just felt nostalgic. I don’t think our generation has even seen a rivalry like that, I f****d with it,” she said of the battle. “I feel like it’s two n****s that’s killing this s**t and they both so talented, and they both on they high horse flexing their talent and capabilities. They both still that n****s, they both still the GOAT. That s**t fye for the culture, bruh.”

Latto’s been wrapped up in a bit of a feud herself with none other than Ice Spice, though she explained during the interview that she’s not taking it too seriously. According to her, it doesn’t seem as though the Bronx-born performer is interested in a full-fledged beef, so she’s opted to keep it light.

“If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like Imma go tit for tat with,” she claimed. “I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes.” What do you think of Latto’s take on Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s viral feud? Do you agree with her or not? Latto Reveals Why She Doesn’t Want Real Beef With Ice Spice

It’s no secret that Latto and Ice Spice haven’t always gotten along. According to the Atlanta-born femcee, however, she has no intentions of challenging the “Phat Butt” performer to a battle. During a recent interview with Billboard, she explained that if she were to go up against someone à la Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar, she’d be selective about her opponent. According to her, Ice doesn’t seem interested in full-fledged rap beef, so she’d prefer to keep the disses light.

“If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like Imma go tit for tat with,” Latto said. “I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.’”

Latto Doesn’t Think Ice Spice Is Up For A Battle

She continued, noting how whatever shade that’s been thrown thus far hasn’t been a big deal to her, as it’s just part of the game. “Everybody gon’ take their lil jabs in the music, and it’s not even that serious to me. I feel like you should do that. Continue to! But as far as actual whole diss records to each other, I don’t think she would even want to do that. I feel like… would it even make sense? It wouldn’t,” she also added.

While Latto may not be interested in going “tit for tat” with Ice Spice, it doesn’t look like their feud has shown any signs of slowing down. They traded some shots at the BET Awards last month, for example, right after Latto seemingly taunted Ice Spice with a “Think U The Sh*t” cake. What do you think of Latto claiming she wouldn’t want to battle Ice Spice? Are you surprised or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Ice Cube Suspects Diddy’s Being “Targeted” Amid Legal Woes

It goes without saying that it’s been a rough few months for Diddy, as the Bad Bad Records founder is currently wrapped up in a great deal of legal drama. Aside from facing several lawsuits from people accusing him of sexual assault, abuse, and more, he’s also at the center of a federal sex trafficking investigation. The saga began back in November with a lawsuit from the mogul’s ex-girlfriend Cassie. Since then, there have been various unconfirmed theories floating around about what exactly opened the floodgates. The latest came from Ice Cube, who weighed in on the debacle during a recent interview.

Earlier this week, Ice Cube sat down with Patrick Bet-David on the PBD Podcast and briefly discussed Diddy’s legal woes. According to him, he’s not shocked about his current situation. As he puts it, the hip-hop industry is the “wild west.” He does suspect, however, that Diddy has a target on his back.

“I believe he’s being targeted,” he claimed. “I believe someone has the power to pull the trigger to make this stuff, this domino effect, happen.” Ice Cube went on, clarifying that he hasn’t done enough research to talk specifics and noting that what he’s saying is purely speculation. “I just know that he was cool up until a point, and this stuff started happening,” he explained. “So I believe somebody… Said ‘Yo, he’s our new guy we’re on this year,’ or whatever.”

Following news of his third lawsuit in November, a spokesperson for Diddy denied the allegations on his behalf. At the time, they similarly claimed that he was being “targeted,” also accusing his alleged victims of exploiting the New York Adult Survivors Act. What do you think of Ice Cube speculating that Diddy’s been “targeted” during his recent appearance on the PBD Podcast? YSL Woody Reveals He’s A Big NBA YoungBoy Fan And Explains Why He’s Relatable

YSL Woody is enjoying his freedoms these days from Young Thug and YSL’s RICO trial, his testimony in which proved to be one of the most controversial aspects of the case as of late. Moreover, he recently sat down for an interview with The Danza Project, who asked about his remarks on having split personalities. Specifically, the host referred to YNW Melly’s “Mixed Personalities” as a similar narrative to what Woody was saying, which is coincidentally and ironically another high-profile criminal case in rap music today. Then, the YSL affiliate said that his thoughts on the matter actually line up well with the reason why he listens to NBA YoungBoy so much.

“Trauma, man,” YSL Woody’s remarks began. “We have been through so much. That’s why I listen to YoungBoy. When I listen to him, I hear the words, but I feel it. I be like, man, he younger than me. That boy needs help, they keep locking him up. That’s the same thing that they were doing to me. So they feel like we’re a threat, so they gon’ lock us up. But when they lockin’ us up, they’re destroying us, they’re making us worser.

YSL Woody Speaks On NBA YoungBoy

Get him some help!” YSL Woody continued concerning NBA YoungBoy. “If y’all got him for some drugs, put him in a drug treatment program. Didn’t he just tell his probation officer he wasn’t going to stop smoking and drinking or whatever they told him? Why y’all gon’ put him in jail? Y’all hear him in his songs. So now, when we got these traumas and we’re dealing with it, and y’all releasing us back up out of here to the public, what y’all expect from us?

“Y’all locked this man in the house on house arrest for three, four years,” YSL Woody concluded his thoughts on NBA YoungBoy and their diverging but similar paths when it comes to crime. “Y’all are showing the world that we don’t have no constitutional rights. What else we could do? Because we’re saying here, man, there’s an ankle monitor on our legs, I’m in our probation house or whatever. They holding onto us.”

Childish Gambino Reveals Why He’s Ditching Rap Moniker After New Album

Donald Glover, AKA Childish Gambino, is currently gearing up to unleash his new album Bando Stone & the New World. The project is slated for release this Friday and will be his last under his iconic rap moniker. During a recent interview with The New York Times, he revealed why, and his explanation is more simple than one might expect.

“It really was just like, ’Oh, it’s done,’” he recalled. “It’s not fulfilling. And I just felt like I didn’t need to build in this way anymore.” While this is certainly a bold move from the multi-hyphenate, he doesn’t seem to have any apprehension. “I think grace is undervalued in the world,” Glover told the outlet. “When I put my son on my shoulders, I feel deep joy. That’s real. No one on their deathbed is going to look back and say, ‘Thank God I avoided being cringe.’”

As for the album itself, Glover gave fans a taste of what’s to come earlier this week with his new single “In The Night,” featuring Jorja Smith and Amaarae. The track, along with “Lithuania,” set the tone for the rest of the project and left listeners more eager than ever to hear what else the hitmaker has up his sleeve. Reportedly, there will be plenty more high-profile features for them to look forward to, as an alleged tracklist began circulating online earlier this month.

While the tracklist is still unconfirmed, the album is said to feature Yeat, Kamasi Washington, Steve Lacy, Fousheé, Chloe Bailey, Flo Milli, and more. What do you think of Donald Glover hanging up his rap moniker following the release of his upcoming album? Are you looking forward to hearing Bando Stone & the New World? Kendrick Lamar’s Recipe For pgLang Success Gets Broken Down By Dave Free

It’s no secret that Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free have found serious success with their imprint pgLang, and now, Free has shared some of their valuable trade secrets. During a recent interview with Elephant, he detailed both their vision and recipe for success. He broke what he calls the company’s “No Yapping” policy in the process, though fans certainly can’t complain.

“We want to treat artists like they’re start-ups,” Free began. “We want them to take ownership of their brand, which is really taking ownership of themselves. You always hear people talking about all these elements of the business that they don’t like, but it’s not like there are a lot of active participants putting their money where their mouth is. We were like, ‘Let’s not talk about what we want to see from the industry — let’s just do it.’”

“Here’s the whole process,” he continued. “Kendrick or I will dream something up, although the idea could come from staff members too, and we’ll come into the office, and we’ll figure out how to create a system around the idea to make it self-sufficient. We make sure it’s going to be impactful, influential, financially stable, it’s going to shake people up, and it’s going to tell a story.”

“When it’s developed, we ask, ‘Does it move you?’ Eventually, after repeating that process enough times, we get to a place where we can’t poke any more holes,” Free also added. That’s what we call ‘break and repeat.’ Once there are no more holes to poke, I feel comfortable putting it into the universe. So that’s the process. We apply that to everything that we do.” What do you think of Dave Free opening up about his and Kendrick Lamar’s process and vision for their pgLang imprint? Hitmaka Digs Up Tink Drama After Claiming That Succesful Men Should Be With Multiple Women

Hitmaka was recently on The Morning Hustle Show and gave a pretty hot take about relationships that fans can’t help but give context for thanks to past incidents. In the comments and in the very caption of the Instagram post below, you can see that his view that successful men shouldn’t be with just one woman had folks linking it to his previous drama with Tink, although things seem to be all amicable now. Still, there was a lot of discussion over whether or not they were an item and why they had a falling out. Regardless of your take on that, it’s not easy to ignore it when listening to the producer and rapper’s thoughts on monogamy.

“No,” Hitmaka answered a question on The Morning Hustle Show about whether or not he has a girlfriend. He seemed perplexed at the interviewer’s inquiry as to what happened, which is when he addressed whether or not he and Tink were a thing and answered why he kept her on the down-low if they were actually romantically involved. “What? I don’t have a girlfriend. No, [we aren’t in a relationship], not at all. I am telling the truth. I don’t believe that one man, a successful man, should be with one woman. Of course. No, [we’re not back and forth]. I mean, in reality, like, we do work together, we do business together, so we have ups and downs. It’s a crazy relationship. But the reality of it is that we haven’t been intimate or been in that type of vibe for damn near a year now.”

Hitmaka Drops A Hot Relationship Take While Talking About His Bond With Tink

It wasn’t really no issue with me or whatever, you know?” Hitmaka previously expressed regarding his since-resolved falling out with Tink. “Things happened, things transpired, she went to the Internet, said what she said. You know, I mean, it wasn’t nothing on my end, you know? It’s regular, and I got mad love and respect for her. I appreciate everything we did. It’s more embarrassing than anything to be out there and look like that. But, you know what I mean? I’m Yung Berg, Hitmaka, I done been out there. All my story’s out the closet so, s**t, you know, it is what it is.

Meanwhile, Maino is also calling cap on Hitmaka over their alleged scuffle, as Yung Berg denied that Maino slapped him. “Berg, why you even speaking about this issue?” he remarked. “We’re talking over 10 years [ago]. It’s not relevant. Why you taking time to make up these stories? All that’s cap. And that’s my issue. Why you even talking about this? Anytime I’m doing an interview [and] they mention that, I downplay it … I just seen him last year. I ain’t on nothing. We way past that. Why you even speaking about that?”

Adam22 Dismisses Backlash Over Interviewing Pop Smoke’s Alleged Killer

Adam22 recently drew the Internet’s ire for choosing to interview Pop Smoke’s alleged killer Blockstar on No Jumper, and the backlash was swift and brutal. Moreover, during their conversation, Blockstar spoke on what his thoughts are on his sentence and the deadly situation as a whole, and it was quite a controversial topic of debate online. However, Adam came through with a social media video recently addressing the issue and speaking on fans’ concerns with the move. In the clips below, he talks about why he chose to interview the now free man and why he found it important to learn more about the New York rapper’s murder.

“I didn’t do that interview because I don’t care,” Adam22 expressed. “That’s what a lot of people seem to think. ‘Adam just doesn’t give a f**k.’ That’s not the case at all. I did that interview because I thought it was an important historical record of somebody involved in one of the most tragic, insane stories in rap history. I knew Pop Smoke, I was texting him for probably a year. We spoke on camera for a couple minutes for Rolling Loud in 2019, like, a few months before he passed. I have a huge amount of respect for him. I’m not ignorant to what a gigantic impact he had on New York City. I have nothing but respect for him, and definitely didn’t want to enrage his friends or family. I actually wanted to do a piece of content that I thought they would be able to benefit from.

Adam22 Responds To Criticism Over Interviewing Pop Smoke’s Alleged Killer

“By having this conversation, people can really understand what goes through the mind of somebody who’s capable of doing something like that,” Adam22 continued. “I think if you watch the interview, it’s pretty obvious that I wasn’t glamorizing it and that I was trying to have the tough conversation with him that I thought this situation warranted. A lot of people seem to think I’m the first person who’s ever interviewed a killer, which is completely not true. […] Pop Smoke, famous rapper. Beloved. Who did Gangster Williams [whom he interviewed] kill? 40 drug dealers slash gang members that you and I don’t know. So it’s kind of hard to, like, work up that empathy. […] I remember when Vlad took a lot of heat because he interviewed Keefe D… I thought it was pretty impressive that Vlad stood on his principles and did that interview. It was an important story.

“The truth is that [these interviews] correct the record for a lot of people and let them know how these situations really went down,” Adam22 concluded. “I also think that the Blockstar interview about Pop Smoke was important for that reason, too. […] So to me, it was important to have that. I knew at that time that he was going to do the interview with somebody else if I didn’t do it.” Check out his full remarks in the video above.

Pop Smoke’s Alleged Killer Thinks He Deserved A More Severe Sentence

One of Pop Smoke’s alleged killers, Blockstar, recently got out of jail following his sentence for his alleged role in the murder. Since then, he drummed up a lot of controversy, or rather, Adam22 and No Jumper did when they hosted him for a controversial interview that many found insensitive and exploitative. But one of the most interesting parts of their conversation was when Blockstar remarked on whether or not he deserved a more strict punishment for being involved in the rapper’s death. His thoughts may surprise you, and his testimony on the matter speaks to what he saw while jailed as a juvenile, although it’s unclear whether or not he served in juvie specifically.

“They right, I did get off too lightly,” Blockstar said of people criticizing his four-year sentence for the murder of Pop Smoke. “But, yeah, that’s how it is in California. Well, I mean, I can’t say what should have happened to me. But honestly, I don’t wish that s**t on nobody. Jail is not nowhere a human being should be. Like, if you ain’t never been and you talking on a situation, you just need to shut up. That s**t is hell. It ain’t nothing, like, to be scared of. But it get like that where… It get like that, but it ain’t nothing you should be scared of, but it’s not nowhere you want to sit for years and months.”

Blockstar Thinks He Deserved More Time For Pop Smoke’s Murder

I’m not sorry about nothing,” Blockstar said of robbing Pop Smoke and being complicit in his murder. “It should’ve never happened, but I ain’t sorry. If I could go back, I’ll go back. But I ain’t sorry. N***as die every day. [Pop Smoke] was rapping about it. All type of s**t So, I ain’t sorry about it. I send my condolences to the family. I wish it never happened. But… I don’t regret nothing.

“Growing up, I just -– my people, my family told me, ‘You ain’t sorry for s**t,’” Blockstar went on about Pop Smoke. “‘Whatever you did, you did it for a reason and stand on it.’ It was a robbery. Nobody sent us. Nobody did none of that. That’s all false information. Nobody [was] intended to get hurt. Nobody… We was just kids being kids -– being kids from the hood. And [there was] too much movement… Movement from everybody. Too much s**t going on. Just too much s**t going on. It wasn’t intentional.”
