50 Cent appears to have closed out his touring days with a bang, making his way around the world on his critically acclaimed “Final Lap” tour. During a recent interview with Haute Living, however, he hinted that he still might be up for performing under the right set of circumstances. The outlet asked him whether or not he’d ever consider committing to a Las Vegas residency. At first, he was extremely skeptical. Fortunately, he seemed to come around to the idea eventually.

“How much of a residency can I commit to when I have multiple film projects coming?” he asked. “Not just the television stuff, but opportunities for me to star in feature films, too. I’m having success in film; my career in television mirrors my music career.”

“My first television show [Power] is the largest show on the network; I’m able to develop spinoff shows and turn this into a 10-year anniversary, and it’s now the number one program in African American and Latino households. So, [now in particular] I have to seriously balance out and schedule things,” he continued. The writer then mentioned how performances are typically spaced out by weeks or months for Vegas residencies. Fif says that if that were the case, he might actually be willing to consider it. “That would actually be fun; that would work for me to do it that way,” he claimed.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he explained that he’d be interested in starting what he calls the “Hood Olympics.” He says his goal would be to highlight athletes who didn’t make it to the Olympics for whatever reason, but still have an impressive amount of talent.

“One thing I wanna do is have the Hood Olympics,” he told the outlet. “There’s a lot of homies from the hood that could run a 10.2, that could high jump, throw the javelin, backflip, swim good, jump over gates and hurdle. You know what I’m saying?”

“I just wanna make it available for the athletes from the hood that didn’t make it, that probably have certain ramifications, but they still were athletic and they still were good,” he continued. “So, I want to bring that component in and, hopefully, we’ll be able to make it make sense.” While it remains unclear whether or not Snoop Dogg’s plan will actually play out, it’s safe to say that fans would tune in.

During a recent interview with Haute Living, the mogul recalled attending Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade’s wedding earlier this year. He revealed that the ceremony made him emotional, and even says he wishes he had a daughter of his own.

“I wish I had a daughter. I do, I wish I had a daughter,” Fif told the outlet, “I wish I had that [father-daughter] relationship. For female children, their dad is the first man they fall in love with. Male children go to their mom; I’m a mama’s boy myself.” He continued, revealing that he was blown away by how fast Hailie grew up.

Big Sean Confirms The Alchemist Collab Album

With so much content already releasing these days, we wouldn’t blame Big Sean if some of his future plans don’t end up panning out. After all, we already got a great album in Better Me Than You, an upcoming self-help-style book in 2025, and plenty of promotional content, loosies, freestyles, and press runs to boot. That’s more than enough to hold us over. On that last note, though, the Sean Don recently spoke to XXL for an extensive cover story, during which he revealed a whole lot about his new LP, his personal life, and more. But one of the most interesting parts of this conversation for hip-hop fans was when he confirmed that a future plan that he had teased previously is actually panning out one day.

Moreover, Big Sean answered a question about his music video for “Together Forever,” his latest collaboration with legendary producer The Alchemist. At the end of it, a new black-and-white clip plays of a completely new set of beats and bars. “That’s part of a side quest I’m doing with Alchemist that me and him been locked in on,” the Detroit rapper revealed. “So, excited about that. That’s a project that me and Alchemist are working on together, so that’s why that part is not on the album.”

So there you have it, folks: Big Sean and The Alchemist are officially working on a joint project together. This is what the former had suggested in a Complex interview from just a couple of days ago, so it’s nice to get this prompt confirmation. “I have been burnt out lately because I have chosen to take so much on by doing multiple music projects,” he had told the outlet. “So what I mean by that is my album and then also cooking up with Alchemist too.”

Of course, there’s a good chance that this collab album won’t end up seeing the light of day. That’s just the way the game goes sometimes. Maybe it’s a short EP instead of a full-length effort, maybe it comes out on an NFT site like VOIR DIRE did, and maybe this is one of those ideas that stays in the drafts. But if Big Sean and The Alchemist follow up their chemistry on “Palisades, CA” and “Together Forever,” we’re in for a true treat.

Big Sean’s new album Better Me Than You was a tender and impressive album, but it also held a few controversies and debatable qualities. Chief among them for many hip-hop fans online was the track “Yes,” which many people felt bit off of the vocal style of Baby Keem. Moreover, the Detroit MC was quick to subliminally respond to this online… Or at least, that’s what many fans interpreted when they saw this tweet: “Must not be familiar with my game.” During a new cover story with XXL, the Sean Don spoke directly about these accusations and this discussion. While he has a very understanding perspective, he also knows what the truth is.

“I saw a little bit of the conversation when the ‘Yes’ video dropped,” Big Sean expressed. “About like, ‘Oh, he’s trying to sound like him,’ or, ‘He’s trying to sound like Kendrick’ or, ‘He’s trying to sound like Baby Keem,’ or, ‘He’s trying to sound like…’ who knows? And I was kind of confused personally by it, but then when I did some research, I was like, ‘Oh, I see that.’

Meanwhile, Big Sean also clarified whether or not he dissed Lil Yachty on the bonus track “Wire Me.” “I wasn’t talking about [Lil Yachty],” he told Complex. “Yachty is on the album as well. On ‘Yes,’ he’s doing ad-libs with me. No, I’m not taking a jab at Yachty. It was like a whole double entendre. If I was referencing him, that would have been a whole other entendre. He was in the studio with me while I was making the album. He actually has a verse on [‘Yes’] too. I might throw it on there later.”

Moreover, he also talked briefly about how his Final Lap touring travels in Kazakhstan in 2023 had him feeling like he was the biggest pop star to ever grace a stage. “It’s unbelievable. They don’t know I’m not Michael Jackson,” Fif told the host. “It was so cool. It was unbelievable, Stephen. They chased the car like I’m Michael Jackson and s**t. It was crazy.”

Elsewhere during their conversation, Rick Ross’ rival also explained what this newfound sexual abstinence has done for him. “When you calm down, you can focus. It’s been good, I’ve been good to me,” 50 Cent shared. “That’s when things start getting complicated. Things start getting confusing because people coming for different reasons,” he said when Colbert asked him about all his earnings and career moves despite not feeding this human urge. “If you go on a date but you have no interest in anything, I can see you now. I said, ‘Goddamn girl, you fine but you ain’t got nothing going on.’” Also, Fif explained that he’s not married, never did marry, and probably never will. “I’m safe, I’m not a happy hostage. As such, it might surprise you to hear that La Flame is apparently already working on his next full-length effort. He revealed this during a new Cultured magazine interview with legendary visual artist George Condo.

“I’m gonna be back in New York,” Travis Scott remarked. “I’m back in album mode. I’ve been working on music and s**t every day on tour. When I’m doing the stadiums, because they’re sold out, I can see the music for what it is. I’m f***ing amped.” “We’ve always approached everything from scratch, not doing loops,” he said of his overall creative process when it comes to making music. “Taking music back to the real raw art. Cooking things instead of having them passed down.”

Of course, this isn’t really something new for Travis Scott in concept. He followed up ASTROWORLD with the JACKBOYS EP the next year, plus a slew of singles up until UTOPIA dropped. Also, let’s not forget the massive hype that formed around ASTROWORLD before Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight had even dropped back in 2016. But considering the precedent that the Houston rapper’s five-year wait created, this should be a very exciting preview for fans. Let’s just hope it’s legit. After all, we’ve already had some canceled sneaker color-ways this year…

Jokes aside, we’ll see in due time what Travis Scott’s next full-length looks like. Whether it comes around quickly in 2025 or it’s the start of a years-long process, we’re sure that the results will impress, inspire, and engage. Meanwhile, fans are still salty about the sales battle between Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet and DAYS BEFORE RODEO. But selling over 360K copies of a ten-year-old mixtape is a larger flex than most No. 1 chart debuts.

For example, he also appeared on Gillie and Wallo’s Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, where he talked about his idea of what a “gangster lifestyle” is and a whole lot more. However, this new convo with Colbert saw Fif talk about something that he hasn’t touched much upon since the start of the year: his celibacy. He announced this move at the top of 2024, and in this new interview, the host asked whether he was really celibate.

“When you calm down, you can focus,” 50 Cent answered indirectly when it comes to his celibacy. “It’s been good, I’ve been good to me.” “That’s when things start getting complicated,” he responded when Colbert asked how he made so much money without “motivating factors in our evolutionary biology” being an influence. “Things start getting confusing because people coming for different reasons.” Of course, we know that the G-Unit mogul has made money for a long time, as a possible “CEO war” with Dame Dash might prove in the near future.
