Big Sean Unleashes “Anderson Estate Freestyle”: Fans React To The Good, The Bad & The Disses

Big Sean just dropped the “Anderson Estate” freestyle on his social media, building up an upcoming single and album rollout that has fans salivating at the mouth. Moreover, this is a pretty lyrically dense, low-key, and old-school display of skill from him, delivering calm but introspective and reflective bars over a woozy J Dilla flip (from “Drop” by The Pharcyde) from Boi-1da, Leon Thomas, and Jahaan Sweet. Furthermore, it prompted a lot of discussion online around the Detroit MC’s bars, demeanor, next moves, and quality of performance on here. Overall, there was a lot of praise online, further cementing that he no longer represents the corny image that folks had of him when his career was at its commercial peak of visibility.

What’s exciting about the “Anderson Estate” freestyle is that it shows this peak could still be bested by more developed artistry and a consistent effort to be the best. For example, one of the most notable bars on here that fans went wild over was when Big Sean seemed to reference Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole. “I think where I lack most as an artist is consistency / I just haven’t had the energy to compete with enemies,” he spits on the cut. “Or y’all so-called bigger three / But every verse I lay, fans love to say, ‘Man, n****s is sleep!’”

Of course, a lot of fans also had more critical reactions to this freestyle. After all, Big Sean was one of the names that people brought up the most in a viral Twitter discussion over the worst bars of all time recently. Regardless, this new freestyle shows that he’s clearly come a long way since, and while it doesn’t remove issues with his style, it points to confidence and development in his abilities. Cardi B Finally Returns With Highly-Anticipated “Like What (Freestyle)”

Back on February 20, on-again, off-again partner of Cardi B, Offset, was encouraging his boo to drop her next LP. “Stop being scary and drop the album s**t goes crazy.” While there was not any audio, he was giving his best stank-face for whatever he was teasing in the video. That anticipation deepened after her die-hard supporters were begging for her to return after a series of memes and a #WhereIsCardi poster.

Well, we can finally say that Cardi B is at least slowly rebuilding as she finally dropped “Like What (Freestyle).” This marks The Bronx rapper’s first single since last September with the highly-maligned “Bongos” with Megan Thee Stallion.” Additionally, an album rollout could be underway as well. If you watch to the end of the music video, directed by Offset, you will see a message that says, “Just beginning… stay tuned.”

A fan account shared a snippet of the “Like What (Freestyle)” on Instagram about four days ago. Now, the full version is here. Be sure to check out the return of Cardi B above.

Cam’ron Gets To The “It Is What It Is” Set Early To Spit Fire “Two-For-One” Freestyle

Cam’ron is one of the very special talents we have going in rap music. Even though he has been releasing music since the late 1990s, Killa Cam still manages to drop heat. The Harlem, New York native is still active as well, even with his very popular sports talk show that shoots it straight, It Is What It Is. In 2023, Cam’ron hit us with The Lost Files: Vol. 1 and U Wasn’t There in 2022. Additionally, he put out four singles last year, and has a couple in 2024 as well. His most recent was for a KITH collaboration called “Last Stop.” The now 48-year-old Cam’ron is back with a new freestyle called “Two-For-One.”

According to HipHopDX, the TV host posted the hot bars on the Instagram page for It Is What It Is. Cam’ron cleverly named the freestyle “Two-For-One” because he gave fans two off-the-dome performances on separate occasions. Additionally, both were done at the recording studio about 10 minutes apart. The first of them was laid down right before the program began with his hairdresser getting Cam ready.

The Dipset rapper spazzed on more a trap flavored instrumental. Then, for freestyle number two, he switches things up to the familiar “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems” sample. It is more of fun and easy-going listen compared to the serious, braggadocious tone of the first. You can check out the full clip with the IG link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new freestyle, “Two-For-One,” by Cam’ron? Is he the best freestyler ever, why or why not? Does he need to drop this on DSPs? Should he put out a new album this year? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to tell us in the comments below. Yung Miami Unleashes Her Wrath On DJ Akademiks With “50/50 Freestyle”

The Yams Era is officially underway. Yung Miami has been hyping this new mindset and outlook on her career since before 2024. The City Girls rapper and entrepreneur has already built a successful foundation for herself, especially with her award-winning podcast Caresha Please. But, this Yams movement might take her success to another level this year and beyond.

It seems JT is following a similar mentality as she looks to expand her solo catalog. She put out her first single since “No Bars” with “Sideways” just last week. Yung Miami is seemingly looking to do the same with her “50/50 Freestyle.” This is just her second solo single, following up the 2021 record “Rap Freaks.”

“50/50” is a braggadocious banger that sees Miami flexing her beauty and money. However, the point that needs to be made is how ruthless she was toward DJ Akademiks. You can see the lyrics below; she is not playing around one bit. She goes after his manhood and exposes how he uses s*x toys instead of messing around with a real woman, ouch. DJ will almost certainly respond at some point, so be sure to stick around with us for the latest on what should be a developing story.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “50/50 Freestyle,” by Yung Miami? Did you expect her to diss DJ Akademiks so ruthlessly on this one? Who dropped the better single, her or JT? Should both of the City Girls drop a solo project this year? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Flau’jae Is Coming For The Throne On “First Person Shooter” Freestyle

Basketball and hip-hop go together like peanut butter and jelly. Both cultures complement each other so well and it is why a good deal of hoopers also rap on the side. What is really cool about it is that a fair number of them can actually spit. We have seen Damian Lillard build a successful side hustle with a handful of records to his credit. You also have others like Shaq, and Lonzo Ball to add to that list as well. However, there are not as many female players that pen bars. One who does and can forge a career is Flau’jae.

Flau’jae (Johnson) is currently attending Louisiana State University (LSU) and is a starting guard for the Tigers. She is having a great sophomore season. Flau’jae is averaging 13 points, and five assists on nearly 50% shooting for the 13th-best team in the country. While she is killing it on the basketball court, she is also setting the microphone on fire.

Listen To “First Person Shooter (FlauMix)” By Flau’jae

She has been putting out music since 2017 and over the past year or so, Flau’jae has been hitting her stride. In July 2023, she put out her debut project 4 My Fans with no features. The 20-year-old has a lot of ambition and wants to work with the best of the best, including J. Cole. While she does not have that collaboration yet, she did just drop a freestyle over his and Drake’s smash hit “First Person Shooter.” It is a much shorter version of the original, clocking in at the 1:47 mark. But, there are plenty of catchy and witty one-liners thrown in. Definitely do not be afraid to give this a shot (pun intended).

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “First Person Shooter (FlauMix),” by Flau’jae? Is this the best freestyle she has ever put out? Should she declare for the WNBA Draft and rap, or stick to just one career? Do you think an album will be coming sometime this year? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Wiz Khalifa Presents His Take On 310babii’s Viral Hit “Soak City” With A Freestyle

Freestyles have been a major part of hip-hop’s history. While they are mainly lyrical exercises and are not really viewed as songs per se, they can feel that way sometimes. That has been the case for Wiz Khalifa as of late. The always-high rapper with roots in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, recently put out a little vibe over Veeze’s “Not A Drill.” What Wiz has been doing as of late is taking up-and-coming rappers’ big hits and bringing his bars to the table. Veeze inevitably caught wind of the remix and he was extremely thankful for the shout-out from the veteran.

Wiz posted on his Instagram that he had uploaded it to YouTube last week and Veeze commented on it. “Mad love big bro 🔥🗣🗣🗣🗣❤” Fans of Khalifa are enjoying that one because of the throwback vibes he is giving off in his rap style. It is understandable for sure, as that was when he was at the peak of his powers, back in the early 2010 decade.

Now, the 36-year-old is back to rap over 310babii’s viral “Soak City.” The single dropped back in the summer of 2023. But, lately, the song has been picking up steam. On Spotify, the track has over 56 million streams. It has helped 310 gain a bit of a following and he currently has over 5.5 million monthly listeners. Wiz brings a rollercoaster-like flow that goes up and down and just sounds good. It fits the fast-paced piano beat to a tee and it may be the better of the two freestyles.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Soak City Freestyle,” by Wiz Khalifa? Is this the best freestyle of the two, why or why not? Do you think a new album is coming at some point this year? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Erica Banks Continues Her String Of Freestyles, Spits Over Nicki Minaj’s “Everybody”

Desoto, Texas rapper Erica Banks is not slowing down for anyone as of late. The 25-year-old sensation who is behind the creation of “Buss It,” is back yet again. She is here to provide some new heat for the freestyle streets. It was about a week ago when Erica dropped her most recent song, “I Think I Love Em (Freestyle).” On that offering, she was flexing her sexual prowess over a classic Gucci Mane cut, “I Think I Love Her.” That has racked up over 160,000 plays on YouTube since that mark.

With that feedback in mind, Erica thought it was only right to give the fans what they wanted. This time she is lying down her deep southern-fried flows on a fresher song. Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 featured a very popular collaboration with Lil Uzi Vert called “Everybody,” which sampled the classic song “Move Your Feet.” Erica Banks decided to put her twist on it and it comes great again.

The major message in this song addresses the money she spent on plastic surgery. With a big-time decision like that, people are going to have something negative to say about it. However, Erica has a nonchalant attitude that plays so well with her delivery and lyrics. Check out the uber-confident track above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Everybody (Freestyle),” by Erica Banks? Should she make a compilation album with all of her freestyles? Is this the better freestyle out of the two most recent? Do you like it when rappers spit on other artists’ songs, why or why not? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Fabolous Shows He’s Still Got It On “Snooze Freestyle”

There is no denying how talented Fabolous is. The legendary New York-bred rapper has been doing this for decades. Questioning his abilities even in the latter stages of his career would be a major mistake. If he still has doubters he might have just shut them all down with this newest freestyle. Yes, the 46-year-old spitter is back with another installment for his series “Freestyle Fridays.” The last one that HNHH got to break down was back on January 8 with “OSHO Freestyle.” Fabolous has been doing some traveling over the past month or so and that track was inspired by his stay in Dubai.

Before that, he came by with one on Christmas Day when he took a trip down to Tulum located in Mexico. While his birthday does fall in November, he headed down there for a late gift to celebrate. All of the freestyles have been hitting for Fab, especially this new one called “Snooze.” If you are an R&B fan, this is name of an ultra-popular song from 2022 by a special artist.

That of course would be SZA. “Snooze” landed on her critically-acclaimed record SOS. Fabolous has rapped on other artist’s beats recently, so this is nothing new. He absolutely bodies the sample flip of SZA’s song and he incorporates well within the bassy and drum-heavy beat. Fab uses the sped-up version of the hit song beautifully and it makes for a great combination overall. You can check it out on YouTube now with the link above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single and freestyle, “Snooze,” by Fabolous? Is this the best song from this series he is doing so far, why or why not? Babyface Ray Spits Over Trippy Beat On “Waymo Freestyle”

Babyface Ray is a sneaky underrated talent who hails from the crowded scene of Detroit Michigan. We say that because there are so many who attract a lot of attention from the media and fans. Babyface has a more lowkey style compared to artists like Eminem, Danny Brown, Big Sean, and others. If you want to size him up to some of the more recent talents, Veeze and Luh Tyler share similarities. Raspy and conversation-like flows with more minimal production. Whether those two names would like to thank Babyface for his influence remains to be seen.

But, Ray clearly started some movement when he began rapping back in 2014. As we said though, he does not seem to get the recognition for his contributions. Maybe this could be a big year for him. 2023 was a busy one for him, though, with several singles and his album, Summer’s Mine. In 2024, he has gotten off to a quick start as well.

On January 5, Babyface Ray teamed up with FreshDuzit and Lulboobie on “Wavy Navy.” Now, he is delivering his first solo track of 2024 with “Waymo Freestyle.” Currently, you can only find it on YouTube, but it is gaining some traction already. Ray is delivering bars in his typical style over a head-nodding beat with wavy synths. This is a great headphone song to hear all of the sounds meshing perfectly together. Give it a spin with the link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Waymo Freestyle,” by Babyface Ray? Is this one of his best singles ever, why or why not? Does he deserve more credit for shaping Detroit’s rap scene? Morray Drops An Uplifting Single About Perseverance On “No Excuses Freestyle”

Back in 2021, a lot of people discovered an incredible vocalist. More namely those people were J. Cole fans. That year, he made his return after not dropping a solo album for three years. The Off-Season is seen as one of the North Carolina rapper’s best projects. It may be just a step below 2014 Forest Hills Drive for a good amount of Cole listeners. One of the reasons why that release was so strong was due to the amount of great tracks on there. A standout for many especially based on the streaming numbers, is “m y . l i f e.” It features the likes of 21 Savage and Morray.

We mentioned how a great singer was placed on the track. Well, we are referring to the 31-year-old artist who also hails from North Carolina. He had a big hand in the track doing so well. It currently sits at over 379 million streams. Morray’s contributions on the hook were very soulful. It makes sense, seeing as how heavily involved he was the singer in a church choir.

He has been able to carry over that talent to the rap and R&B scene for about three years now. Morray has one project to his name with Street Sermons. That was released in 2021 and he has put out some singles here and there. His most recent effort comes in the form of a YouTube exclusive song. “No Excuses Freestyle” is a powerful anthem about being mentally and psychologically strong. He is preaching having strength through times when all seems bleak. His flows and singing are both incredible and it might be the best feel-good track of the year.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single, “No Excuses Freestyle,” by Morray? Is this one of the most feel-good tracks of the year so far?
